  • Purpose: The purpose of this study was to analyze the concept of social support of nursing students using a hybrid model and to derive a definition and attributes of social support through theoretical, fieldwork, and final analysis stages. Methods: Twenty-nine studies were analyzed in the theoretical stage. Seventeen in-depth interviews were conducted with nursing students in the fieldwork stage. In the final analysis stage, the concept of social support was defined and the attributes were derived by integrating the theoretical and fieldwork stages. Results: The attributes of social support of nursing students identified in the final analysis consisted of two dimensions and eight attributes. The two dimensions were structural and functional support. The eight attributes were social network, educational, emotional, informational, economic, positive evaluation, self-esteem support, and support by providing a role model provision. The structural dimension included the social network support attribute. The functional dimension included the remaining seven attributes. Educational support and support by providing of a role model provision were newly derived attributes that reflected specific characteristics of nursing students. Conclusion: Based on the results of this study, we suggest that researchers should attempt to develop a scale to measure the social support of nursing students.

  • Non-Deformable Support System (NDSS) is one of the support system analysis methods. It is likely seen as numerical analysis. Obviously, numerical modeling is the key tool for this system but not unique. Although the name of the system makes you feel that there is no deformation on the support system, it is not true. The system contains some deformation but in certain tolerance determined by the numerical analyses. The important question is what is the deformation tolerance? Zero deformation in the excavation environment is not the case, actually. However, deformation occurred after supporting is important. This deformation amount will determine the performance of the applied support. NDSS is a stronghold analysis method applied in full to make this work. While doing this, NDSS uses the properties of rock mass and material, various rock mass failure criteria, various material models, different excavation geometries, like other methods. The thing that differ NDSS method from the others is that NDSS makes analysis using the time dependent deformation properties of rock mass and engineering judgement. During the evaluation process, NDSS gives the permission of questioning the field observations, measurements and timedependent support performance. These transactions are carried out with 3-dimensional numeric modeling analysis. The goal of NDSS is to design a support system which does not allow greater deformation of the support system than that calculated by numerical modeling. In this paper, NDSS applied to the problems of Tunnel 34 of the same Project (excavated with NATM method, has a length of 2218 meters), which is driven in graphite schist, was illustrated. Results of the system analysis and insitu measurements successfully coincide with each other.

  • Recent, The propeller had high performance according as high performance of small ship. So, We has the development for azimuth thrusters. This Paper has structure improvement of steering support flange in azimuth thrusters. Steering support flange is very important part. because, Steering support flange supports all weight of azimuth thrusters. We has static & dynamic analysis of Steering support flange, and we discover the very safety. So, We has optimum design for the cost reduction. The first method of optimum design, We has the thickness reduce to 30mm from 5mm. Next method of optimum design, We had added stiffener. And we has the structure & dynamic behavior analysis. We had to dynamic behavior analysis. The first, We had to modal analysis. The result of 1st-modal analysis is that original model had to 76.48hz and new model had to 200.9hz. The second, We had to harmonic analysis. The result, We gave the thrust power to steering support flange. and We had to frequency analysis to $0{\sim}500hz$. The result, Deflection ration reduce to 16.64.

  • This paper presents a new method for including the dynamic stiffness of the stationary parts in rotordynamic analysis. As a consequence of the support dynamics, critical speeds are varied and/or additional critical speeds are introduced. Therefore, dynamic effects of the support are often significant in high speed turbomachinery, but most of analysis has considered the support as a rigid body or a simple structure. The proposed method is based on the coupled characteristics of the driving point and transfer frequency response functions of the support system to model the equivalent spring-mass series in finite element analysis. To demonstrate the applicability of the simulation procedures provided, it is applied to the rotor model of the double suction centrifugal pump. Results of the suggested equivalent-support rotor model including coupled effects agree well with the entire pump model.

  • In this paper, a new method of product function analysis is presented to categorize various design information generated in product development processes. In order to improve product functions, designers must understand unit functions and modified parts of products. The product function analysis (PFA) is based on the designer's understanding of product functions. The proposed PFA provides the methodology to classify the various functions systematically and understand the relation between functions easily. Using this approach, efficient design support system can be developed and used for designers to support decision-making with design knowledge.
