Emotional Intelligence and Project Success: The Roles of Transformational Leadership and Organizational Commitment

  • The paper aims to examine the relationship of emotional intelligence on the project success, the causal relationship between emotional intelligence and project success, and also investigate the influence of emotional intelligence and the mediating role of transformational leadership as well as the moderating effect of organization commitment on the relationship between emotional intelligence and project success. Cross sessional research is applied to collect the data in this study. By applying quantitative research and survey question, the study collects 325 respondents who are the project managers. Snow-ball sampling method is used to distribute the questionnaires by face to face survey (68% of respondents) and online survey (32% of respondents). The collected data is analyzing by applying partial least square (PLS-SEM) via software SmartPLS 3.0.The result shows that the emotional intelligence and the transformational leadership making the project even more successful as the mediation actor. Furthermore, the project commitment also has the moderator effect between transformational leadership and project success. With the result of study, project managers should be aware of the importance of emotional intelligence and their commitment to the ability to manage projects successfully. A successful project is a combination of many actors, the most critical actor is the leader of the project.

초등과학 영재학생과 일반학생의 성공지능과 학습전략의 비교 분석 (Comparative Analysis of Successful Intelligence and Learning Strategies for the Scientific Gifted and the Regular Students in Elementary School)

  • 이 연구는 초등과학 영재학생들과 일반학생을 대상으로 성공지능과 학습전략에 대한 관계를 알아보고자 하였다. 이를 위해 인천광역시 B 교육지원청 관내에 있는 3교의 단위학교 영재학급과 일반학생을 대상으로 설문조사 하였고, 이에 대한 결과를 간단히 요약하면 다음과 같다. 첫째, 성공지능과 학습전략에서 초등과학 영재학생이 일반학생보다 높았고 이는 통계적으로 유의한 차이가 있음을 알 수 있었다(p < .001). 둘째, 학년별로 성공지능과 학습전략을 비교했을 때, 5, 6학년 모두에서 영재학생이 일반학생보다 평균이 높았고 통계적으로 유의한 차이가 있음을 알 수 있었다(p < .001). 셋째, 성별에 따라 성공지능과 학습전략을 비교했을 경우, 남녀 모두에서 영재학생이 일반학생보다 높았고 이는 통계적으로 유의한 차이가 있었다(p < .001).

Sternberg의 성공지능 관점을 적용한 초등 과학영재교육 교재의 발문 특성 분석: 언어네트워크분석을 중심으로 (Analysis of the Questioning Characteristics of Elementary Science Gifted Education Teaching Materials using the Sternberg's View of Successful Intelligence: Focused on Semantic Network Analysis)

  • 과학영재교육 관점에서 성공지능 이론은 영재교육과정이 과학영재의 특성에 맞게 제시되고 있는지를 파악할 수 있는 수단이 된다. 이 연구의 목적은 초등 과학영재교육 교재에 제시된 발문 특성을 Sternberg의 성공지능 관점을 적용하여 분석하기 위한 것이다. 이를 위하여 교육청 영재교육원 2곳과 대학부설 영재교육원 1곳의 초등 과학영재교육 교재에 제시된 발문 각각 143개와 134개를 추출한 후, 이렇게 추출된 발문들의 구조적 특성에 차이가 있는지를 비교하기 위해 언어네트워크분석 방법을 활용하여 분석하였다. 그 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 교육청 및 대학부설 영재교육원의 교재는 분석적 능력, 창의적 능력, 실행적 능력 등과 같은 성공지능을 균형 있게 반영하지 못하고 있었다. 둘째, 교육청 및 대학부설 영재교육원의 교재는 학생들에게 '문제 확인하기', '정보 표상하고 조직하기', '분석적 사고 촉진하기' 등 분석적 능력 영역을 집중적으로 요구하고 있었다. 셋째, 교육청 및 대학부설 영재교육원의 교재는 성공지능의 각 프레임 요소를 서로 유기적으로 연결되지 못한 채 제시되고 있다는 한계를 보였다. 과학영재들은 일반학생과 달리 학습속도가 빠르고 보다 복합적인 사고를 선호하는 특성을 보이기 때문에, 앞으로 과학영재교육 교재를 개발할 때에는 과학영재의 수준에 맞게 다양한 영역의 능력을 경험하고 통합적 사고를 촉진할 수 있도록 개발할 필요가 있을 것이다. 이런 측면에서 이 연구는 과학영재들의 맞춤형 교육지원을 위한 교재 개발을 위해 유용한 정보로 활용될 수 있을 것으로 기대된다.

Sternberg가 1977년에 처음으로 제안한 유추의 요소 이론으로부터 오늘날의 성공 지능이론에 이르기까지 그의 이론은 IQ의 대안적인 새로운 지능 이론으로서 지능의 정의 및 본질, 측정, 교육 및 산업 분야에 큰 영향을 미쳤다. 4반세기가 지난 현재 시점에서 그의 이론이 그동안 어떻게 변화되어 왔는지, 그 변화된 이론들은 지능 이론과 연구 분야에 각각 어떻게 기여했는지, 이론과 관련해 우리나라에서 어떤 연구들이 수행되었는지, 그리고 앞으로의 연구 과제가 무엇인지를 폭넓게 개관하는 일은 시의 적절하고 필요한 과제이다. 따라서 이 논문에서는 먼저 R. Sternberg의 지능 이론이 발달되어 온 과정을 크게 요소이론, 삼위일체 이론, 성공 지능이론의 세 시기로 구분하여 각 시기별로 그의 지능 이론과 연구의 특징과 의의를 살펴보고, 다음에 그의 지능 이론과 관련하여 그간에 우리나라에서 수행된 연구들을 주제별로 의의와 한계를 논의하며, 마지막으로 그의 이론 발달을 위한 몇 가지 연구 과제를 제언한다.

Adopting e-Government Services in Less Developed Countries According to the Characteristics of Business Intelligence: (Sudan as a model)

  • In this paper, a contribution is presented covering the data set in improving and developing electronic services provided to citizens through e-government services based on business intelligence in government agencies in the Republic of Sudan. The Business Intelligence Concept Survey was conducted from the perceptions of information department employees in government agencies. The survey was conducted from April to June 2021 using questionnaires. The dataset contains responses about the factors that influence the use of business intelligence and the barriers and limitations to the use of business intelligence. A five-point Likert scale was used to analyze the quantitative data. The opportunities and challenges associated with it were also discussed and explored. As evidenced by the results, the information department employees agree that business intelligence improves the government decision-making process, which helps decision makers and decision-makers to find alternatives and opportunities that contribute to making more accurate and timely decisions. The results also indicate that creating the infrastructure for applying business intelligence in the e-government work model contributes to the successful implementation of business intelligence in Sudan.

  • A 4-year joint research project (1999-2003), entitled "The Development of Multiple Talents (DMT)", has been designed and carrying out under the sponsorship of the National Science Council, R.O.C. (Taiwan). A 3-dimension construct is proposed for the DMT: form of talents (10 forms, mainly based on Gardner′s theory of multiple intelligences), function of talents (3 functions, based on Stemberg′s conception of successful intelligence), and developmental stage (4 stages, from pre-school to senior high). To take an example of its empirical studies, Wu and Chien (2000), based on a renovated conception of personal intelligence, developed the "Personal Intelligence Inventory" (PII). By means of the PII, it was found that there were some personal intelligence differences between gifted and regular pupils: however, gifted group was not as superior as on academic performance to the regular one (Wu '||'&'||' Chien, 2000). It was also found that there were significant relationships between pupils′personal intelligence and school adjustment in both groups (Tsai '||'&'||' Wu, 2000).

Framework for evaluating code generation ability of large language models

  • Large language models (LLMs) have revolutionized various applications in natural language processing and exhibited proficiency in generating programming code. We propose a framework for evaluating the code generation ability of LLMs and introduce a new metric, pass-ratio@n, which captures the granularity of accuracy according to the pass rate of test cases. The framework is intended to be fully automatic to handle the repetitive work involved in generating prompts, conducting inferences, and executing the generated codes. A preliminary evaluation focusing on the prompt detail, problem publication date, and difficulty level demonstrates the successful integration of our framework with the LeetCode coding platform and highlights the applicability of the pass-ratio@n metric.

스마트 공급망 구축을 위한 지능형사물인터넷 영향요인에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Influential Factors of Intelligence Internet of Things for Establishing Smart Supply Chains )

  • Internet of Things (IoT) is a term that has been introduced in recent years, and it defines objects being able to connect and transfer data through the internet. Although some IoT-related products are currently available in the market, there are still some IoT problems that need to be overcome, such as the technology issues and lack of confidence and understanding of IoT. This study aims to analyze the influential factors in building successful IoT system for smart supply chain. This study develops the Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP) to evaluate the influential factors in IoT. This study finds that tangible factors (Technology, Value and Connectivity) are more important than the intangible factors (Operation and Intelligence). Finally, this study concludes that after enterprises build a good IoT connectivity system, it is essential to combine this with good IoT technology to create a successful IoT environment. The findings may help practitioners implement IoT in smart supply chains to deal with disruptions, risks and vulnerabilities in the post-pandemic era.

The Effect of Emotional Intelligence on Job Satisfaction: A Case Study of SME Management Consultants in Korea

  • SMEs are constantly demanded of changes in the rapidly-evolving business environment, which involves the fourth industrial revolution and the COVID-19 pandemic. In this period, management consulting service becomes more in demand to provide technical and strategic solutions for management problems. This study aimed to empirically analyze the direct effects of emotional intelligence on job satisfaction and the indirect effects of such parameters as learning agility and self-efficacy on job satisfaction in management consultants. On the basis of a literature review, inter-variable association was designed in the research model. Based on an online survey of those in the Korean SME management consultants, this study collected 221 questionnaires then used structural equation modeling for statistical analysis. The results reveal that emotional intelligence significantly affected job satisfaction and, also significantly positively affected learning agility and self-efficacy. In addition, a significant indirect correlation could be found between learning agility and self-efficacy. Meanwhile, if learning agility and self-efficacy mediated job satisfaction, emotional intelligence had no significant effect on job satisfaction and fully mediated learning agility and self-efficacy. It is necessary to develop an emotional intelligence education program that can help management consultants improve their emotional intelligence with the objective of giving successful management consulting services.

  • Although business Intelligence system is introduced to many companies over the past decade, The result of business benefits from BI investment are not so significant than expected. But still successful BI system can provide the ability to analyse business information in order to support and improve management decision making across a broad range of business activities. In recently, Business Analytics System(BA) is emerging as advanced alternative of outdated and inefficient BI System. This study is focus on constructing procedure of BA system in KB card company, which is major credit card company in South Korea. In practice there were just few works that mentioned well-designed environment of KMS system, and other contribution of this study is to make a platform which invoke revelation of collective intelligence in data analytic professional users group.
