  • As we have understood the commonly launched T-DMB service from December 2005, we kindly recommend to apply LCX cable installing solution which can be covering underground subway and tunnel T-DMB signal shadow area with most efficient network implementation method. Subway passengers would be enjoyable continuous T-DMB services through LCX cable installing solution.

  • This paper concerns a case study on the design concept, analysis, construction methodology of a subway tunnel excavated in the soft ground beneath an existing building where the distance between the bottom of the building and the crown of the tunnel is separated by about 3 meters only. The silot tunnels are excavated in advance, and side reinforced-concrete walls are installed. Then, main tunnels are excavated with ring cut method. The steel ribs are installed and supported by the side walls made in advance. Between the steel ribs and the side walls, the screw jack is installed to apply prestressing so that settlement can be controlled at minimum. Various in-situ seasurements are made and compared with computed values obtained by numerical methods. By choosing this underpinning method with very caraful construction control, tunnelling projects could be finished successfully without having any damage to the building located very closely to the tunnel crown.

  • Seoul Metropolitan Rapid Transit Corporation - which is operating the subway lines No. 5, 6, 7 and 8 of Seoul's subway - has been operating a variety of motor cars and rail inspection vehicles to transport workers and materials into the tunnel at night after the daily revenue service for the maintenance of tunnel structure and track. However, the air quality in tunnels has been contaminated due to the operation of diesel engine cars, and rail inspection vehicles are now having higher chances of risks since the lightweight vehicles made with aluminum bogie became too obsolete. In this study, MRT type eco-friendly electric multi-inspection car has been elaborated for the purpose of improvement of tunnel environment and replacement of motor cars and rail inspection vehicles.

  • In this paper, various hazard factors are reviewed on the train fire accident in railway tunnel and subway. In case studies of systematic risk evaluation on the tunnel fire accident, we have learned the critical fire safety points for accident prevention and damage reduction such as fire-endurance of infrastructure, mortality of heat & toxic smoke, emergency situation control and management of escape requirements etc.. These hazard analysis study will contribute for improving the railway fire-safety and establishing the long-tenn safety management plan.

  • The study on prevention measures for vibration and excavation of tunnel for the #3, #4, Seoul Subway. In the Seoul subway tunnel blasting, the drilling pattern and prevention method to seismic vibration are as follows as well as for adaptions of NATM, the supportings of roof and wall holes are arranged with control blasting. 1. The blasting is executed basically using the low velocity explosive such as slurry, Nitrate ammonium explosive, and F-I and F-II explosive for control blasting substituting of existing dynamite. 2. The cut holes are arranged with burn cut pattern and also must be arranged with M/S electrical delay caps substituting of ordinary do]ay caps. 3. Jack leg drills are used in Five Job sites and a jumbo drill in one job site. 4. In performance of safety work and in maintenance of building safety. The drilling length for blasting will not exceed 1.20 meter for round so that the vibration value shall carry below 0.3cm/sec. The harmonizing of better powder, better drilling machine and better technique is only the way of improving tunnelling efficiency and less vibration will help the dereasing of accidence.

  • 본 연구는 지하철방재대책의 일환으로 터널구간에 설치된 환기기의 제연절환 운전모드 및 승강장 선로부 환기장치를 포함한 6종류의 제연운전모드를 대상으로 승강장에 정차된 열차화재 시나리오에 따라 3차원 실시간 화재 시뮬레이션을 수행하여 제연방식별 열 및 연기전파특성을 규명함으로서, 승강장에서 열차 화재 발생시, 승객이 안전하게 최적 대피가 가능한 환기기의 제연절환 조합운전의 도출을 목표로 한다.

지하철 터널내 열차풍 예측 프로그램 개발에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Development of the Train Wind Rate Prediction Program in Tunnel of the Subway)

  • Subway is one of the most important transportation and its facilities are increased by the drift of population to cities in these days. But heat generation results from lighting, human and traffic increase in subway, half-closed space, gives uncomfortable sense to the subway passengers. Therefore, natural ventilation by piston effect is done to relieve uncomfortable sense. But train wind by piston effect gives uncomfortable sense to the subway passengers, too. So the numerical calculation of inflow and outflow amounts is important to predict thermal environment and reduce train wind. In case of actual survey of train wind in target station, the amount of train wind are about $3100m^3/train$ at the minimum, about $6000m^3/train$ at the maximum, about $4200m^3/train$ on average. When comparison between simulation for train wind prediction and actual survey for accuracy was done train wind prediction program showed similar results.

  • We as a civil investment enterprise have been constructing In-cheon International Airport Railway which is a transportation means to approach In-cheon International Airport. In this alignment. a section between the Seoul station and Ka-joa follows the existing Yong-san line at the center of Seoul city and traverses Seoul subway 2,5,6 lines. So we planned that the alignment would have the shallowest depth to lie under Kyung-eui line and above the airport railroad. The alignment is planned to construct an open-box structure only 3.6m apart from the subway line 5 tunnel structure and construct the open-box structure 0.7m apart from the subway line 2 box structure. In the line planning, we investigated both the security of the existing subway structures during and after construction and the stability and workability between newly structured tunnel structures with three dimensions numerical analysis methods. Also we raised the reliability of design verification which was achieved by specialty society's review on the planned construction method.

서울도시철도공사 터널모니터링 시스템의 운영성과와 과제 (Achievements and Tasks of the SMRT Tunnel Monitoring System(TMS))

  • 본 논문에서는 서울지하철 5~8호선에 운영 중인 터널모니터링 시스템의 운영성과를 분석 평가하고 개선방안을 제시하였다. 터널모니터링 시스템 도입으로 종래에는 열차운행이 끝나야만 가능했던 터널 내 시설물 점검이 주간에도 가능해졌다. TMS 도입으로 전에 비해 점검능력이 확대되었고, 정확성도 향상되었으며, 점검주기가 단축되었다. 인력활용 효율이 향상되어 중요 시설물에 대한 점검과 유지보수에 인력을 추가로 배치할 수 있게 되었다. 그 결과 예방정비 건수는 225% 증가하였고, 열차운행 장애는 53% 감소하였다.

지하공간통합지도의 3차원 터널 데이터 모델에 관한 연구 (A Study on 3D Tunnel Data Model for Integrated Map of Underground Spaces)

  • 본 연구는 지하공간통합지도에서 다루고 있는 지하시설물(구조물형) 중 터널 부문에 해당하는 지하차도, 지하철 선로를 대상으로 3차원 터널 데이터 모델을 설계하는 것을 목적으로 한다. 이를 위하여 우선 터널 데이터 모델과 관련한 국제 표준 간의 특징을 비교·검토하였으며, 그 결과 CityGML 3.0 - tunnel module이 기존 표준과 비교했을 때 3차원 터널 데이터 모델을 설계함에 있어서 가장 적합한 데이터 모델임을 알 수 있었다. 이후 3차원 터널 데이터 모델의 표준 요소 도출을 위하여 법·제도적 규정을 검토하고, 관련 분야 전문가를 대상으로 수요조사를 실시하여 지하차도와 지하철 선로의 추가·확장 표준 요소를 도출하였다. 위와 같은 과정을 토대로 UML을 이용하여 3차원 터널 데이터 모델을 설계 및 제시하였다. 본 연구는 지하공간통합지도의 활용도 제고를 위한 기반 연구로써 그 의의가 있을 것으로 판단된다.
