In this paper we propose a product-service valuation model which is usable as a decision-making tool in order to attain a competitive advantage in service in the manufacturing industry. With this purpose, service quality, product quality and costs as valuation criteria are selected. Also, the paper utilizes an AHP model in order to differentiate a fuzzy theory and valuation factors to ensure objectivity in the evaluated results while excluding subjective factors in conducting the product-service valuation. Accordingly, the product-service valuation model and valuated results proposed in this paper are expected to be useful as a basic data for decision-making in order to draw competitive advantage strategies of service in the manufacturing industry.

A hospital's intensive care unit (ICU) is a limited and critical resource whose efficient utilization of capacity impacts on both the welfare of patients and the hospital's cost effectiveness. Decisions made in the ICU affect the operations of other departments. Yet, decision making in an ICU tends to be mainly subjective and lacking in clear criteria upon which to base any given decision. The study reviews the capacity utilization of one particular ICU, that of a public hospital in Hong Kong, and develops a computer simulation model to improve both the unit's capacity utilization and the quality of care provided to its patients.

In this paper, we propose a virtual sound localization algorithm which improves the sound localization accuracy and sound color preservation for two channel and multi-channel surround speaker layouts. In conventional CPP laws, the sound direction is different from the panning angle and the sound color is different from real sound source especially when the speakers are spread out widely. To overcome this drawback, we design a virtual sound localization algorithm using directional psychoacoustic criteria (DPC) and sound color compensator (SCC). The analysis results show that in the case of the proposed system, the sound direction is the same as the panning angle in the audible frequency range and the sound color is less deviated from a real sound source than the conventional CPP law. In addition, its performance is verified by means of subjective tests using a real sound source.

본 논문은 단어 분류에 기반한 새로운 텍스트 영상 워터마킹 알고리즘을 제안한다. 간단한 특징을 이용하여 단어를 K개로 분류한다. 이웃한 몇 개의 단어들을 조합하여 세그먼트를 구성하고, 세그먼트에 속한 단어들의 부류에 의해 세그먼트 또한 분류된다. 각 세그먼트에 동일한 양의 신호가 삽입된다. 신호 삽입은 세그먼트 부류가 갖는 단어 간 공백의 통계값을 조작함으로써 이루어진다. 몇 가지 기준에 따라 기존 단어 이동 알고리즘과의 주관적인 비교가 제시된다.

Evaluation of toxicological pathology is to some extend subjective judgments by pathologist and the accuracy of pathologist's works is based on the individual training and experiences. It has been required to establish a peer review system for toxicologic pathology and these review system has been employed by various practice of toxicological pathology. It would be pointed out that the possible causes of drifts in pathology are due to 1) lack of knowledge or experience of individual pathologists, 2) poorly maintained consistence of grading among animals in study, 3) different interpretation of findings between pathologists, or 4) pathology data processing. Example cases of diagnostic errors and current practice of peer review including tissue selection criteria, documentation and problem resolution for short-term and carcinogenicity studies were introduced. For sound regulatory system and high integrity of practice in toxicological pathology, current approaches of peer review system were reviewed.

This study suggests the optimum interior environment by projecting the criteria to design the living space light-ing that select the lighting environment among the sever-al environmental factors that influenced on the human perception. As a correspondance between the visual perception and the lighting, visual perception process, vision system, and visual perception system are investigated to compre-hend the lighting, and then conceptual contour of the lighting environments are presented which are transmit-ted the visual informations. As a lighting factors which are influenced on the visu-al perception, light source color is analized. Foundationally, the effect of the lighting methods and the techniques are investigated, and the changes of the lighting methods which influences on the space perception are examined through the previous results. As the changing the light sources color, the changing the subjective feelings of space perception through the ex-periment. This study is concluded with the proposition of the ef-fective lighting and the importance of the lighting envi-ronment.

Objectives To evaluate the effectiveness of allergic rhinitis treatment, and to set the ground in clinical studies, adequate outcome measures must be established. Thus, this study was designed to develop useful criteria based on those that have been suggested, and those that we are using today. Methods To assess outcome measures used in allergic rhinitis in Korean medicine, related articles found in Korea Traditional Knowledge Portal from 2000-2015 were evaluated. Then pattern identification and outcome measures were reviewed in each study. Results Among 27 studies, we have found 24 studies used subjective symptoms as outcome measures, 9 studies used quality of life, and most of allergic rhinitis were caused by Spleen-Gi deficiency. Conclusions It is necessary to develop outcome measures that directly reflect pattern identifications in Korean medicine, and those measures need to be further evaluated for their applicability, validity and sensitivity.

This paper develops a new approach to dealing with qualitative reasoning processes involved in managerial decisions, drawing upon choice strategies that have been developed within the general framework of multi-criteria decision making. Issues such as choices under uncertainty and preference formulation are addressed. An MCDM DSS intended to assist in high-level management decisions must focus on helping the decision maker to properly define the problem by providing a structure to it and to dynamically evaluate the alternative courses of action. A conceptual architecture is developed and presented to propose a general model for designing decision support systems specifically designed to assist in MCDM in a managerial context. A commercial loan approval judgment case is described to illustrate the real-world situation where decisions are made under fuzziness and usually require a high degree of intuition and subjective judgment. Development of a prototype system intended to partially represent application of the architecture is described.

In the past, the results of window cleaning work have been judged subjective and complaints about cleaning results are being raised. In this study, we tried to quantify the evaluation of the cleaning result. For the quantification of the evaluation, a colorimeter was selected and the basic experiment was carried out. In addition, this study examined the use of standard dust powder for artificial production of contaminants in glasses. Further evaluation and analysis will be carried out to quantify the evaluation criteria of the cleaning results.

Various technological forecasting models have been proposed to represent the time pattern of technological growths. Of six such models studied, some models do significantly better than others, especially at low penetration levels, in predicting future levels of growth. Criteria for selecting an appropriate model for technological growth model are examined in this study. Two major characteristics were selected which differentiate the various models ; the skew of the curve and the underlying assumptions regarding the variance of the error structure of the model. Although the use of statistical techniques stil requires some subjective input and interpretations, this study provides some practical procedures in the selection of technological growth models and helps to reduce or control the potential source of judgmental error inconsistencies in the analyst's decision.
