Effects of the Attributes of Mobile Shopping Apps on Purchase Intention of Fashion Products

  • Purpose : The purpose of this study is to examine the effect of the attributes of mobile shopping apps on the purchase intention of fashion products in the steadily growing mobile commerce market and analyze the mediation effect of shopping flow. Research design, data and methodology : In this study, a survey was conducted on users in their 20s to 50s who had experience of fashion products via mobile shopping apps. The questionnaire was analyzed on the final 507. The research issues were verified using Frequency analysis, Exploratory factor analysis, Reliability analysis, Confirmatory factor analysis, and Structural equation model. Results : Among the attributes of mobile shopping apps, reliability, enjoyment and ease of use were found to have a significant impact on shopping flow and fashion product purchase intention, while shopping flow had a significant impact on fashion product purchase intention. Product diversity and usefulness of shopping apps didn't show a significant effect. After examining the mediation effect, reliability, enjoyment, and ease of use were shown to have indirect effects by showing partial mediation effects. Conclusions : Studies show that consumers are not putting much emphasis on how diverse a product line is available and how useful a mobile shopping app is when they shop for fashion products on mobile devices. Factors that affect consumers' purchase intention are reliability, enjoyment and ease of use of shopping apps. These results shows that it is important to provide reliable information about fashion products, provide reliability to customers by setting up means for safe transactions, and provide a wider variety of services and information to make using the mobile shopping app enjoyable. In addition, there is a need to make it easy to find a fashion product that consumers like and make it easy to purchase when consumers find out fashion products that they like, and to configure how to use the app easily. Consequently, consumers become immersed in shopping which is also able to improve consumers' purchase intention on fashion products when a reliable, enjoyable and easy to use mobile shopping app is provided.

Policy on Administrating Childcare Centers for the Healthy Development of Young Children: Focusing on Policy Reviews and Suggestions for the New Korean Government (영유아의 건강한 성장을 위한 어린이집 운영 정책: 정책 고찰과 새 정부의 정책 제언을 중심으로)

  • Objective: This study purposed to provide implications in regards to the Moon Jae-in Administration that launched in May 2017. Three sectors of childcare polices on administration of childcare centers were reviewed in terms of supporting the healthy development of young children. Methods: Medium and long-term childcare plans and the main policies of previous administrations since 2004 when the Childcare Act was completely reformed, as well as the 'Five-year policy for the Moon Jae-in administration of state affairs' that was announced on July, 2017, were reviewed in terms of publicness of childcare, regulations on operation of childcare services, and customized childcare programs for diverse needs. Results: It was proposed that the concept of publicness of childcare should be conservative when focusing on public childcare centers. The regulations on operating childcare services should focus on improving structural dimensions of childcare quality to keep the well-being of children a top priority. Furthermore, diverse programs should be designed and implemented to satisfy changes in childcare surroundings and the various needs of children and their families. Conclusion/Implications: The Moon Jae-in administration is expected to outline childcare policies and carry out tasks under the new paradigm. The healthy development of young children should be embodied as the final goal that forms the vision of childcare policies based on publicness, rationality, and diversity.

Estimation of the Available Amount of Groundwater using Classifications of Landforms and Hydrogeological Units in N. Korea (지형면과 수문지질단위 분류를 이용한 북한의 지하수 부존량 추정)

  • This study was conducted to provide the preliminary data on preparation for policy decisions regarding the groundwater supply scheme for N. Korea vulnerable to drought. Agricultural activities oriented to upland field due to the mountainous terrain more than 79% as well as the diversity of rainfall distribution over the country make more vulnerable to structural problems in the drought in N. Korea. Therefore, in anticipation of the expansion of exchange policies in agricultural sector, the available amount of groundwater needed for sustainable water resources supply was estimated for each administrative district after analyzing alluvium and hydrogeology distribution in N. Korea. Overall, the available amount of groundwater was estimated to 22.3 billion m3 (0.18 million m3/km2). The available amount of groundwater per unit area in Ryanggangdo and Gaesungsi was appeared very high in each of 0.56 and 0.39 million m3/km2, respectively, and it would be interpreted that two districts have relatively wide area of volcanic rocks and alluvium with highly permeable characteristics, respectively. Finally, to maximize the utilization of this study result, the available amount of groundwater distribution map was developed on the basis of the 1 × 1 km grid network over the entire N. Korea.

  • Plants have evolved along with pathogens, and they have developed sophisticated defense systems against specific microorganisms to survive. G-protons are considered one of the upstream signaling components working as a key for the defense signal transduction pathway. For activation and inactivation of G-protein, GTP-biding proteins are involved. GTP -binding proteins are found in all organisms. Small GTP-binding proteins, having masses of 21 to 30kD, belong to a superfamily, often named the Ras supefamily because the founding members are encoded by human Ras genes initially discovered as cellular homologs of the viral ras oncogene. Members of this supefamily share several common structural features, including several guanine nucleotide binding domains and an effector binding domain. However, exhibiting a remarkable diversity in both structure and function. They are important molecular switches that cycle between the GDP-bound inactive form into the GTP-bound active form through GDP/GTP replacement. In addition, most GTP-binding proteins cycle between membrane-bound and cytosolic forms. such as the RAC family are cytosolic signal transduction proteins that often are involved in processing of extracellular stimuli. Plant RAC proteins are implicated in regulation of plant cell architecture secondary wall formation, meristem signaling, and defense against pathogens. But their molecular mechanisms and functions are not well known. We isolated a RacB homolog from rice to study its role of defense against pathogens. We introduced the constitutively active and the dominant negative forms of the GTP-hinging protein OsRacB into the wild type rice. The dominant negative foms are using two forms (full-sequence and specific RNA interference with RacB). Employing southern, and protein analysis, we examine to different things between the wild type and the transformed plant. And analyzing biolistic bombardment of onion epidermal cell with GFP-RacB fusion protein revealed association with the nucle.

Restoration Model of Quercus mongolica Community in the Case of Korean National Capital Region (수도권지역의 신갈나무군집 복원모형)

  • The purpose of this study is to figure out the structural characteristics of urban plant community and suggest restoration model of Quercus mongolica in the case of Korean national Capital Region. The investigation areas were selected from urban area of Mt. Nam at Chung-Gu, suburban areas of Mt. Bong at Eunpyoung-GU, Mt. Sungju at Buchon City and non-urban areas of Mt. Suri at Kunpu City and Mt. Chonma t namyangju-City. After the main study field had been classified into the evaluation of the ecological characteristics and the modeling of the vegetation. We analyzed to evaluate the ecological characteristics of the forest structure -- successional stage, naturalness, multi-layer structure of the forest and species diversity, and the plant community structures. We have proposed vegetation restoration model based on the selection of proper plants, the number of individuals, diameter short area of breast height, the shortest distance between plants in non-urban area. As for successional stage, It was judged that the ecological succession may not be followed like the present stage of the surveyed areas in urban, suburban and non-ruban areas. As for the retention of naturalness and multi-layer structures of vegetation, In Quercus mongolica community, Robinia pseudo-acacia and Ailanthus altissima occurred in each layers at Mt. Nam, Mt. Bong and Mt. Sungju, and Eupatorium rugosum occurred in herbaceous layer at Mt. Nam. Consequently, the ecological restoration plan following the structure of the vegetation in Mt. Chonma seemed to be advisable in Q. mongolica community, there were less number of species and individuals in urban areas than those of non-urban areas. Planting of trees following the simulated native plant community of non-urban areas seemed to be required to promote the plants in urban areas. Considering the number of individuals up to three layers in each 400$m^2$ area, it was composed of twenty nine in canopy layer, forth nine in understory layer, 367 in shrub layer and 33.7% herbaceous ground cover in the Q.mongolica community. The suggested restoration model in this study is nan applicable model for the introduction in the cities, and this study shows that continuous experiments and field investigation on this model should be performed in the future.

  • Natural history museums preserve and manage the creatures living in each country, so they play unique roles for bio-diversity, and in fact, their roles are really instrumental for the collection, preservation, research, exhibition and education of creatures in the 21st century. Therefore, this research has the purpose to survey the status of our country's existing natural history museums, analyze their visual perception space structural characteristics, and ultimately utilize their characteristics as basic data in planning out and designing spaces of natural history museums to be established later on. As for the research scope, the research selected as research subjects 7 natural history museums that currently have composite set of open type and mixed type and have been accommodating comparatively active exhibitions since 2000 among 10 or so natural history museums in our country. Research method is that the research analyzed the exhibition spaces of 7 natural history museums by using depthmap program which can analyze space with visual graph analysis function, and analyzed the visibility among unit areas by each natural history museum integration and exhibition contents composition. In such analysis method, the research was able to quantitatively analyze the visual characteristics of exhibition space that induces and adjusts the motion of audience. Visual perception quantitative analysis as in this research will enhance exhibition design by considering the correlation between audience and exhibited items when planning out natural history museums space to be established later on.

Effect of Duty Free Shop's Service Quality on Relationship Quality and Loyalty (면세점의 지각된 서비스품질이 관계품질과 고객충성도에 미치는 영향)

  • Purpose - With the growth of the duty free shop field and an increase in the executive interest in it, it becomes necessary to examine if PBZ (1988) SERVQUAL could be applied to duty free shop service reflecting on this increased interest and the importance of marketing strategy alternative managing multinational customers. Therefore, the present research focused on the comparison of Korean and Chinese consumers. We examined how service quality would affect relationship quality and customer loyalty. Research design, data, and methodology - Surveys were distributed to 235 Korean and 220 Chinese consumers who have visited a Korean duty free shop. We analyzed frequency analysis, mean difference analysis, and reliability analysis, exploratory factor analysis, confirmatory factor analysis, structural equation model analysis, and multi-group analysis. Results - First, perceived tangibles, responsiveness, empathy, assurance, price benefits, product diversity, and IT convenience of duty free shop service all appeared to be positive effect on customer satisfaction; at the same time, only tangibles, responsiveness, empathy, assurance, and price benefits positively affected customer trust. Secondly, customer satisfaction and trust that are the components of the relationship quality appeared to be positive effect on customer loyalty. Thirdly, customers' satisfaction was found to play a full mediating role effect among all of the service quality factors with customer loyalty; however, customer trust was found to have the mediating effects only with tangibles, empathy, assurance, and price benefits. Fourthly, we found a difference between how service quality influences relationship quality and how service quality influences customer loyalty as a function of different nationality. As a result, it appeared that price benefits and IT convenience affected customer satisfaction more among Koreans than among Chinese. Finally, it appeared that customer satisfaction and trust affected customer loyalty more among Chinese than among Koreans. Conclusions - The results of this study contribute to the theoretical knowledge, but also provide strategic alternatives to enhance differentiation, international competence of enterprises led by duty free shop and service quality improvement and customer loyalty of enterprises are drawn as a foundation for constructing international customer relationship in future global era.

'Trivial' Conflicts of Multicultural Families: Focused on the Program (다문화가정의 사소한 갈등: <다문화 고부 열전>을 중심으로)

  • This study aims to analyze how the media represents marriage immigrant women in the reality of Korean multicultural society. In particular, by analyzing an EBS documentary titled, 'Multicultural Fierce Conflicts between Mother-in-law and Daughter-in-law', this study clarifies that this content adopted travel narrative to show conflicts between mother-in-law and daughter-in-law and solution of these conflicts. The documentary apparently shows mutual understanding and cultural diversity but still keeps representing these conflicts as individual's 'trivial' problems. Under this way of representation, social and structural problem or institutional problem in reality can be covered up by the medium of travel. It makes such a conflict look like an individual's 'trivial' problem can be solved by individuals.

Elasto-plastic time history analysis of an asymmetrical twin-tower rigid-connected structure

  • The structure analyzed in this paper has particular building style and special structural system. It is a rigid-connected twin-tower skyscraper with asymmetrical distribution of stiffness and masses in two towers. Because of the different stiffness between the north and the south towers, the torsion seismic vibration is significant. In this paper, in order to study the seismic response of the structure under both frequent low-intensity earthquakes as well as rare earthquakes at the levels of intensity 7, the analysis model is built and analyzed with NosaCAD. NosaCAD is an nonlinear structure analysis software based on second-development of AutoCAD with ObjectARX. It has convenient modeling function, high computational efficiency and diversity post-processing functions. The deformations, forces and damages of the structure are investigated based on the analysis. According to the analysis, there is no damage on the structure under frequent earthquakes, and the structure has sufficient capacity and ductility to resist rare earthquakes. Therefore the structure can reach the goal of no damage under frequent earthquakes and no collapse under rare earthquakes. The deformation of the structure is below the limit in Chinese code. The time sequence and distribution of damages on tubes are reasonable, which can dissipate some dynamic energy. At last, according to forces, load-carrying capacity and damage of elements, there are some suggestions on increasing the reinforcement in the core tube at base and in stiffened stories.

Chemical Genomics with Natural Products

  • Natural products are a rich source of biologically active small molecules and a fertile area for lead discovery of new drugs [10, 52]. For instance, 5% of the 1,031 new chemical entities approved as drugs by the US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) were natural products between 1981 and 2002, and another 23% were natural product-derived molecules [53]. These molecules have evolved through millions of years of natural selection to interact with biomolecules in the cells or organisms and offer unrivaled chemical and structural diversity [14, 37]. Nonetheless, a large percentage of nature remains unexplored, in particular, in the marine and microbial environments. Therefore, natural products are still major valuable sources of innovative therapeutic agents for human diseases. However, even when a natural product is found to exhibit biological activity, the cellular target and mode of action of the compound are mostly mysterious. This is also true of many natural products that are currently under clinical trials or have already been approved as clinical drugs [11]. The lack of information on a definitive cellular target for a biologically active natural product prevents the rational design and development of more potent therapeutics. Therefore, there is a great need for new techniques to expedite the rapid identification and validation of cellular targets for biologically active natural products. Chemical genomics is a new integrated research engine toward functional studies of genome and drug discovery [40, 69]. The identification and validation of cellular receptors of biologically active small molecules is one of the key goals of the discipline. This eventually facilitates subsequent rational drug design, and provides valuable information on the receptors in cellular processes. Indeed, several biologically crucial proteins have already been identified as targets for natural products using chemical genomics approach (Table 1). Herein, the representative case studies of chemical genomics using natural products derived from microbes, marine sources, and plants will be introduced.
