This paper aims to explore the strategic roles of information and strategic planning capabilities for firms' performance, and to examine the direct and indirect relationships between information capability, strategic planning capability, logistics performance and competitive advantage. The present research adopts resource based theory (RBT) to explore the relationships between a firm's specific capability and its performance and employs structural equation modelling (SEM) in order to test the validation of the measurement models and examine the relationships between construct variables. The current empirical test was conducted using the data collected from logistics managers of 101 Korean electronics companies. The empirical research presents positive influential relationships between (1) information/planning formality capability and strategic planning capability; (2) strategic planning capability and logistics performance; (3) logistics performance and competitive advantage; and (4) competitive advantage and competitive position in the market.

This study aims to examine the effect of strategic planning, human resource management, and asset management on increasing the productivity of the rural economy. This research is a quantitative approach. The research sample was carried out by simple random sampling and data collection using a questionnaire so that 129 respondents were determined. The research test was conducted using multiple linear regression with the OLS (Ordinary Least Square model. The results obtained were that strategic planning, human resource management, and asset management had a significant positive effect on increasing the productivity of the rural economy. This shows that strategic planning is the most important thing in industry, companies, or organizations as a guideline to achieve optimal performance. In addition, human resource management and asset management are positive supports for increasing the economic productivity of rural communities to achieve welfare goals. This research proves that strategic planning must be carried out by considering the existing potential, both sources. natural resources, human resources, and economic resources Meanwhile, human resource management and asset management are mandatory to support the sustainability of an organization or company so that the benefits of the study as study material in strategic decision making, both in business and public policy.

This study aims to explore the relationships between strategic planning, strategic maneuverability, and firm performance in the current dynamic business environment. It employs a quantitative research method and reports on a survey, using a questionnaire, of service companies in Indonesia's oil and gas industry. Of the 337 companies selected by simple random sampling from a vendor database, responses were received from 70 companies. The analysis was performed using Partial Least Square Structural Equation Modeling and SmartPLS software. The analysis consisted of descriptive statistics, evaluation of the measurement model, evaluation of the structural model, and hypotheses testing. The results show that both strategic planning and strategic maneuverability have a positive relationship with firm performance. In addition, there is a positive relationship between strategic planning and firm performance through the mediating role of strategic maneuverability. The findings suggest that the organizational agility, organizational flexibility, and organizational responsiveness that constitute strategic maneuverability have a positive direct and indirect effect on firm performance, namely financial performance, customer performance, internal process performance, and learning and growth. This study contributes to the strategic management literature and the theory of maneuvers by providing empirical evidence on the relationship between strategic planning, strategic maneuverability, and firm performance.

The Purpose of this study is working out of the scientific-theoretical and practical recommendations directed on perfection of strategic planning of development of the enterprises of mining and gold mining branch. The methodological basis of research is based on the economic theory developed by a domestic and foreign science. At processing, generalisation and a writing of materials of the master's thesis following methods were applied: - supervision, - comparison, - the analysis and synthesis, - methods of an induction and deduction, - statistical groupings, - average and relative sizes, - the system approach. Finally, the theoretical and practical importance of this research consists that results of research will allow generating a basis of statement of effective system of strategic planning of a long-term sustainable development of the gold mining enterprises reducing risk of acceptance of inefficient strategic decisions. The study aims to investigate the mediating effect of strategic planning on the relationship between managerial skills and the performance of small- and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in Punjab, Pakistan. Stratified proportionate probability sample method was used to select the 265 SMEs. The study applied a structural equation model (SEM) to analyze the proposed research hypotheses by using PLS-SEM. This research examines the direct and indirect effects of strategic planning on the performance of SMEs using the SEM test. The results indicate the positive effect of managerial skills on SMEs' performance and also suggested that strategic planning mediates the relationship between managerial skills and SMEs' performance. In addition, the role of managerial skills on the usage of the company's resources is highly influential through strategic planning. Strategic planning has been found to impact significantly and positively on the relationship between managerial skills and performance of SMEs in Punjab, Pakistan. The findings suggested that, in devising appropriate strategies for SMEs, the effect of managerial skills on the utilization of the firm's resources can be more effective to the firm's performance. In short, the utilization of a firm's resources through a proper planning is more essential for the sustainability of SMEs.

The information revolution is sweeping through the global economy. The strategic significance of the information and information technology have been some what underestimated. Now they are transforming the structure of competition. Information technology must be applied to improve and sustain an organization's competitive advantage. The successful implementation of information technology is dependent on the effectiveness of information systems planning. However, the selection of the right methodology still remains a open question. This paper describes the existing methodologies for information system planning. A complementary approach to strategic information systems planning, which was developed for a steel company, is suggested. The approach attempts to combine Business Systems Planning of IBM and Critical Success Factors Analysis for effective information systems planning. Although this approach is in the experimental stage it looks to be of benefit to large organizations which require information planning for managerial level.

본 연구는 해양 수산분야의 연구개발, 교육홍보 및 대민봉사활동을 목적으로 2006년에 발족한 호남 Sea Grant 사업단의 발전에 필요한 전략계획을 수립하기 위한 것이다. 먼저, 호남 Sea Grant 사업단의 발전계획 수립목적 및 관련 사업동향을 살펴보고, 시급하게 추진해야 할 현안과제의 사업방향 및 내용에 대해서 언급한다. 다음으로 수요자, 관련자 및 관련단체와의 협의를 통한 발전전략계획의 필요성과 국 내외의 Sea Grant 사업 관련기관과의 네트웍을 체제구축을 통한 상호 발전방향에 대해 살펴볼 것이다.

The demand for efficient utilization of input resources and productive outcomes is increasing as the government's R&D investments in Government-funded research institutes (GRIs) expand. These changes call for improving research-planning activities, which are defined as a set of activities wherein objectives are established, strategies for acquisition and expenditures of research resources are devised, and utilizations of research outcomes are addressed. This study introduces the integrated 4P analysis model that identifies the relationships among patents, papers, products, and projects. It looks into 4P analysis structure and its efficiency as a research planning means through case studies of the Korea Research Institute of Chemical Technology. This study introduces 4P analysis applied to KRICT, which can be utilized for outcome-oriented research planning of GRIs. At the same time, it investigates into the benefits and implications of 4P analysis. It proffers policy suggestions on such aspects as how research planning of GRIs should go through changes in a strategic and systematic way.

본 연구는 디지털화된 한국인 인체정보 데이터세트의 전략적 활용계획수립과 관련된다. 구체적으로 국가경쟁력 제고를 위한 R&D 전략 포트폴리오의 작성을 위하여 필요한 중요한 의사결정 요인들을 파악하고 조직화하는 것이다. 타 국가의 경우를 보더라도 디지털 인체정보 데이터세트와 시각화 에프리케이션의 개발은 국가수준에서 전략적인 R&D 프로젝트로 선정하여 추진하고 있다. 본 연구에서는 연구목적을 달성하기 위하여 해당 분야의 전문가 집단을 구성하였으며, 이들을 통하여 R&D 비전, SWOT분석 및 전략개발, 연구분야 및 세부과제를 파악하였다. 또한 전략계획 수립을 위하여 각 세부과제들을 중요도와 시급도 관점에서 우선순위를 파악하였다. 연구의 방법으로는 브레인스토밍, 델파이방법과 AHP(Analytical Hierarchy Process) 기법을 도입하였다. 본 연구의 결과는 추후 R&D 포트폴리오 작성을 위한 가이드라인이 될 뿐 아니라, 해당 분야에 연구투자를 평가하는 프레임워크로서 중요한 역할을 담당할 것이다.

The strategic UAV for theater level ISR(Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance) mission typically has numerous ground targets over area of responsibility(AOR) or area of operation(AO). It is necessary to automatically incorporate these multitude of ground targets into mission planning process in order to collect ISR images before actual flight mission. In addition, weather information such as wind direction and/or velocity may have significant impacts on the qualities of collected sensor images, especially in SAR(Synthetic Aperture Radar) images. Thus weather factors in the operation altitude should also be considered in the mission planning stage. In this study, we propose a novel mission planning scheme based on target scheduling and deviation correction method incorporating weather factors.
