  • A strategic decision making needs a sound process modeling to find out the right path of organizational changes; however, dynamic feedback processes involved in a real world business, make it difficult to predict the outcomes of strategic decisions. In this paper, we present a conceptual framework to facilitate strategic decision making process for organizational changes. The framework, which employs the concepts of analytic network process (ANP) and system dynamics (SD), can be used to prioritize various projects under consideration and to make a long-term strategic plan in a constructive manner.

  • One of the main issues of Solid Oxide Fuel Cells (SOFCs) is to reduce the operating temperature to $750^{\circ}C$ or less. It has advantages of improving the life of component parts and the long-term stability of a system, so the production cost could be decreased. In order to achieve that, the ohmic and polarization loss of a single cell should be minimized first. This paper presents.to fabricate anode-supported single cells with controlling microstructure as a function of particle size and volume of graphite and NiO-YSZ weight ratio. By means of optimizing the manufactural condition through microstructure analysis and performance evaluation, the single cell which had NiO-YSZ=6:4, graphite volume of 24% and graphite size of $75{\mu}m$ as the anode composition showed a distinguished power density of $510mW/cm^2$ at $650^{\circ}C$ and $810mW/cm^2$ at $700^{\circ}C$, respectively.

  • We propose a multi-strategic concept-spotting approach for robust spoken language understanding of conversational Korean in a hostile recognition environment such as in-car navigation and telebanking services. Our concept-spotting method adopts a partial semantic understanding strategy within a given specific domain since the method tries to directly extract predefined meaning representation slot values from spoken language inputs. In spite of partial understanding, we can efficiently acquire the necessary information to compose interesting applications because the meaning representation slots are properly designed for specific domain-oriented understanding tasks. We also propose a multi-strategic method based on this concept-spotting approach such as a voting method. We present experiments conducted to verify the feasibility of these methods using a variety of spoken Korean data.

Research design, data, and methodology - As a research method, a general method of case studies, literature research, is carried out through academic research results, reports, articles, and statistics. In addition, methods such as field observation and interview with stakeholder were performed to collect in-depth understanding and information about the companies. Results - Along with its core competences, Hanssem has pursued strategic changes to compensate for its weaknesses. IKEA has also used a variety of strategies changes to match the situation in Korea. Conclusion - Both companies have properly balanced localization elements and standardization strategies that value the needs of local consumers. In particular, Hanssem has implemented various strategies based on its core competence in response to IKEA's strategy. In addition, Hanssem and IKEA are actively managing and have good performance not only in Korea but also in foreign markets.

  • Most high efficiency silicon solar cells use a passivated selective emitter. It have been an important research subject for crystalline silicon solar cells for decades. It is being used in production for high efficiency solar cells. Most of the selective emitter process require expensive extra masking, etching steps, and a double diffusion process making selective emitters not cost effective. In this paper, we study method for single diffusion step selective emitter process as an alternative to not cost effective double diffusion process. Cost effective selective emitter that the efficiency should be increased significantly (mare than 0.2%) and that the process should simple, robust and cheap.

  • This study clarified a study of relationship of strategic alliance structure factor, partner selection criteria and performance awareness on the container liners alliance. In order to obtain such objective of study existing literature variables suitable to the container liner were perused and extracted. Research models for research development and three study hypothesis were set out and scope of investigation and samples were chosen. The research hypothesis are followings. H1: The factors of strategic alliance motivation influence the performance awareness. H2: The strategic alliance structure factors influence the performance awareness. H3: The factors of partner selection criteria influence the performance awareness. In the result of the empirical study, the hypothesis 1, hypothesis 2 were supported completely and hypothesis 3 was partially supported.

  • The demand for efficient utilization of input resources and productive outcomes is increasing as the government's R&D investments in Government-funded research institutes (GRIs) expand. These changes call for improving research-planning activities, which are defined as a set of activities wherein objectives are established, strategies for acquisition and expenditures of research resources are devised, and utilizations of research outcomes are addressed. This study introduces the integrated 4P analysis model that identifies the relationships among patents, papers, products, and projects. It looks into 4P analysis structure and its efficiency as a research planning means through case studies of the Korea Research Institute of Chemical Technology. This study introduces 4P analysis applied to KRICT, which can be utilized for outcome-oriented research planning of GRIs. At the same time, it investigates into the benefits and implications of 4P analysis. It proffers policy suggestions on such aspects as how research planning of GRIs should go through changes in a strategic and systematic way.

  • Kunrak, a type of Korea traditional cheese, is made using Tarak, a yogurt produced with makgeolli as the fermentation source. Kunrak is produced by removing whey from Tarak, followed by drying process for safe storage and consumption over a longer period. In this study, we produced kunrak based on the method described in "Imwonsibyukji". Prepared Kunrak was ripening for 96 hours at 20, 30, and $40^{\circ}C$. In order to study characteristics of Kunrak, physiochemical properties (pH, acidity, water contents) and contents of metabolites (organic acids, sugars, amino acids, and fatty acids) were analyzed. During ripening, water contents decreased. The main organic acids in Kunrak were citric acid and lactic acid, and the main free sugar was lactose. Main amino acids were glutamate and phenylalanine, and main fatty acid was saturated capric acid. At later ripening, all metabolites increased immediately after preparation. The sensory evaluation score of overall preference was highest for Kunrak, which was ripening at $40^{\circ}C$ for 96 hours. This study was aimed to assay metabolites of Kunrak under various ripening conditions. The results provide basic data to produce conditions for standardized manufacturing of Kunrak.

  • The purpose of this study is to develop the self-diagnosis methodology based on process for improving the effectiveness in public institutions service and to suggest it. For this goal, we would like to select the management methodology which can be easily handled from the viewpoint of working personnel in the public institutions and make it as a process. First, the strategy for the public institutions and the strategic task for practicing it are acquired using BSC (Balanced Score Card) which is now under the active research. At this time, the relative degree of significance is derived using the AHP (Analytic Hierarchy Process) which is conducted for the professionals and management to get the degree of importance in the strategic tasks. The acquired relative degree of significance and the figures related to the performance of each strategic task derived from the subsequent questionnaire are used to get the final highly efficient strategic task through IPA (Importance Performance Analysis). In this study, this process based self diagnosis methodology will be explained in detail using the case of Project A in order to verify the effectiveness of the management science technique on the self diagnosis of the public institutions.
