Aging 효과에 따른 낙동강 모래의 비배수 전단거동 특성 (Characteristics of Undrained Shear Behavior for Nak-Dong River Sand Due to Aging Effect)

  • In this study, to observe aging effect of undrained shear behavior for Nak-Dong River sand, undrained static and cyclic triaxial tests were performed with changing relative density ($D_r$), consolidation stress ratio($K_c$) and consolidation time. As a result of the test, the modulus of elasticity to all samples estimated within elastic zone by the micro strain of about 0.05% in case of static shear behavior increased with the lapse of consolidation time significantly, so aging effect was shown largely. Also strength of phase transformation point(S_{PT}$) and strength of critical stress ratio point($S_{CSR}$) increased with the lapse of consolidation time. Undrained cyclic shear strength($R_f$) obtained from the failure strain 5% increased in proportion to relative density($D_r$) and initial static shear stress($q_{st}$), $R_f$ of consolidated sample for 1,000 minutes increased about 10.6% compared to that for 10 minutes at the loose sand, and $R_f$ increased about 7.0% at the medium sand. In situ application range of $R_f$ to the magnitude of earthquake for Nak-Dong River sand was proposed by using a increasing rate of $R_f$ as being aging effect shown from this test result.

What Is Normal for an Aging Heart?: A Prospective CMR Cohort Study

  • BACKGROUND: This study aims to investigate normal changes throughout aging of the heart in cardiac magnetic resonance (CMR) imaging in healthy volunteers. While type 2 diabetes mellitus is a frequent finding in the elderly population, also the influence of this circumstance in otherwise healthy persons is part of our study. METHODS: In this prospective single-center trial, 75 healthy subjects in distinct age groups and 10 otherwise healthy diabetics were enrolled. All subjects underwent functional, flow sensitive, native T2- and T1-mapping in a 1.5T CMR scanner. RESULTS: No differences in right and left ventricular ejection fractions were observed between aging healthy groups. Bi-ventricular volumes lowered significantly (p<0.001) between the age groups. There was also a significant decrease in myocardial T1 values, aortic distensibility, and left ventricular peak diastolic strain rates. There were no differences in T2 mapping and the other deformation parameters. Patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus had lower end-diastolic volume indexes; all the other measurements were comparable. CONCLUSIONS: Aging processes in the healthy heart involve a decrease in ventricular volumes, with ejection fractions remaining normal. Stiffening of the myocardium and aorta and a decrease in T1 values are potential indications of age-related remodeling. Type 2 diabetes mellitus seems to have no major influence on aging processes of the heart.

탄소강 배관 재료의 DSA 거동에 미치는 노치 영향 평가 (Evaluation of Notch Effect on the Dynamic Strain Aging Behavior of Carbon Steel Piping Material)

  • 본 연구에서는 탄소강 배관 재료의 동적변형시효 거동에 미치는 노치에 의한 응력과 변형 집중 효과를 파악하기 위해서, 표준 시편과 노치 시편을 이용하여 다양한 온도와 시험 속도에서 인장시험을 수행하였다. 또한, 시편의 형상에 따른 응력과 변형률 상태의 차이를 파악하기 위해서, 각 시편에 대한 유한요소 시뮬레이션을 수행하였다. 노치 시편을 이용한 인장시험 결과에서도 표준 시편에서 관찰된 것과 같은 동적변형시효의 증거인 serration과 인장강도의 증가 현상이 관찰되었다. 동일한 시험 속도에서 인장시험이 수행된 경우에 표준 시편에 비해 노치 시편에서 동적변형시효 현상이 고온에서 나타났다. 유한요소 해석 결과에 의하면 표준 시편에 비해 노치 시편에서 동적변형시효가 고온에서 나타나는 것은 노치부에서 응력과 변형의 집중으로 인한 높은 변형률 속도에 기인하는 것으로 확인되었다.

  • To improve mean-life and reliability of power cable in this paper, we have investigated stress-strain and smoothness showing by changing the content of carbon black that is semiconductive additives for underground power transmission. Specimens were made of sheet form with the three of existing resins and the nine of specimens for measurement. Stress-strain of specimens was measured by TENSOMETER 2000. A speed of measurement was 200[mm/min], ranges of stress and strain were $400(Kgf/cm^2)$ and 600[%]. In addition tests of stress-strain were progressed by aging specimens at air oven. Finally we wished to look for protrusion of specimens by using smoothness tester. According to increasing the content of carbon black from this experimental result, yield stress was increased, while strain was decreased. And stress-strain were decreased some after aging because of oxidation reaction of chemical defect. Lastly surface of specimens smoothed generally.

수치해석을 이용한 임베딩 패키지 솔더 조인트의 신뢰성에 미치는 에이징 효과 연구 (Study on Effects of Solder Joint aging on the Reliability of Embedded Package Solder Joints using Numerical analysis)

  • 본 논문에서는 임베딩 패키지의 솔더 조인트 신뢰성에 미치는 솔더 조인트의 에이징 효과를 유한요소법에 의한 수치해석을 통해 연구하였다. SAC305 솔더 조인트의 에이징 시간은 0, 60, 180 일이 적용되었고 신뢰성 분석을 위해 패키지 휨, ECS(Equivalent Creep Strain) 및 TSED(Total Strain Energy Density)이 분석되었다. 연구결과에 따르면 임베딩 패키지의 휨이 비임베딩 패키지에 비해 감소하여 임베딩 패키지내 솔더 접합부의 신뢰성이 높을 것으로 예측되었다. 또한, 에이징 시간이 길수록 임베디드 패키지의 휨이 감소하지만 솔더 조인트의 신뢰성 수명도 감소할 것으로 분석되었다.

가압경수로용 지르칼로이-4 피복관의 2축 응력 인장시 동적 변형 시효 (Dynamic Strain Aging of Zircaloy-4 PWR Fuel Cladding in Biaxial Stress State)

  • 지르칼로이 -4 피복관에 대해서 3가지 변형 속도로(1.2$\times$10E-7/s, 2.0$\times$10E-6/s, 3.2$\times$10E -5/s), 553-873K의 온도 구간에서 구리 맨드렐 팽창 시험법을 공기와 진공(5$\times$10E-5 torr) 분위기에서 수행했고, 변형 속도의 변화는 시편의 가열 속도를 조절함으로써 얻을 수 있었다. 각각의 변형 속도에서 항복 응력 피크와 변형 속도 감도 최저값 그리고 활성화 부피 극대값이 나타나는 이유는 동적변형시효 현상 때문이라고 설명된다. 항복 응력 피크가 나타나는 온도와 변형속도로부터 얻어진 동적변형시효의 활성화 에너지는 196(KJ/mol)이었고 이 값은 $\alpha$-지르코니움과 지르칼로이-2에서 활성화 에너지(207-220 KJ/mol)값과 잘 일치한다. 그러므로 573-673K의 온도 구간에서 나타나는 동적변형시효 현상은 산소원자 때문이라고 생각된다. 산화에 의한 항복 응력의 증가는 공기중 실험과 진공 실험으로 얻어진 항복 응력값을 비교함으로서 얻었고, 그것은 항복 응력의 증가 분율로 표시했다. 결과는 변형속도가 느릴 수록 증가 분율은 더욱 더 커짐을 알 수 있었다. 그리고 산소 침투량과 항복 응력 증가 사이의 관계가 직선적이라는 가정하에 공기와 수중에서의 산화 속도를 비교하여 수중에서의 항복 응력 값을 계산해 보았다.

가교 폴리에틸렌의 열노화에 따른 구조와 물성의 변화 (The Variation of Structure and Physical Properties of XLPE during Thermal Aging Process)

  • 가교 폴리에틸렌을 열을 가하여 노화시킨 후 구조 및 물성의 변화를 조사하였다. 가교 폴리에틸렌의 열적 산화 반응으로 카보닐 그룹이 형성됨을 X-선 광전자 분광법과 근적외선 분광법을 이용하여 확인하였다. 노화 시간이 길어질수록 1715 nm에서 관찰되는 카보닐 피이크가 정량적으로 증가하는 것을 근적외선 분광법을 이용하여 관찰하였다. 열화 시간에 따른 흡수 피이크의 선형적인 관계로부터 근적외선 분광법이 고분자 재료의 열화 과정을 감시하는데 적합한 방법임을 확인할 수 있었다. 또한 노화에 의한 가교 결합의 발생과 그에 따른 물리적 성질의 변화를 TMA, 응력-변형 시험, 쇼어 경도 측정 방법을 이용하여 관찰하였다. 노화가 진행됨에 따라 유리 전이 온도가 110에서 132$^{\circ}C$로 증가함을 관찰하였으며, 인장률은 265에서 110%로 점차 감소하고 쇼어 D 경도는 32에서 50으로 크게 증가하는 것을 관찰할 수 있었다.

Effect of Intercritical Annealing on the Dynamic Strain Aging(DSA) and Toughness of SA106 Gr.C Piping Steel

  • It is reported that the toughness and safety margins of the SA106 Gr.C main steam line piping steel is reduced due to dynamic strain aging (DSA) at the reactor operating temperature for Leak-Before-Break (LBB) application. In this study, intercritical annealing in two-phase ($\alpha$+${\gamma}$)region was performed to investigate the possibility of improving the toughness and reducing DSA susceptibility. The manifestations of DSA were still observed in the tensile tests of the annealed specimens. However, the ductility loss caused by DSA was smaller than that in the as-received material. Furthermore, the intercritical annealing was able to increase the Charpy impact toughness by 1.5 times compared to as-received. With the heat treatment, we could obtain microstructural changes such as the cleaner retained ferrite, increased ferrite content and somewhat finer grain size. It is considered that the reduced DSA was induced by cleaner retained ferrite, which in turn resulted in higher impact toughness in addition to the general toughening due to finer grain sizes and increased ferrite content.

Finally surface profile was shown in order to looking for protrusion of specimens by using smoothness tester. Density was highly measured according to increasing the content of carbon black from this experimental result, and stress was decreased, while strain was increased according to increasing the content of carbon black. And stress-strain were decreased some after aging because of oxidation reaction of chemical defect. Lastly surface of specimens smoothed generally.

Zr-0.4Sn-1.5Nb-0.2Fe 합금의 인장특성 (Tensile Properties of Zr-0.4Sn-1.5Nb-0.2Fe)

  • To study the dynamic strain aging behavior of Zr-0.4Sn-1.5Nb-0.2Fe sample tube for nuclear fuel cladding in the range of pressurized water reactor (PWR) operation temperature, the tensile tests of the tube specimens, which had been finally heat-treated at $470^{\circ}C\;and\;510^{\circ}C$, had been carried out with the strain rate $1.67{\times}10^{-2}/s\;and\;8.33{\times}10^{-5}/s$ at the various temperatures from room temperature to $500^{\circ}C$. It was observed that the elongation of the specimens got shortened as the temperature increased from $200^{\circ}C\;to\;340^{\circ}C$. The specimens that were finally heat-treated at $470^{\circ}C$ showed a plateau more remarkably on the plot of yield strength-temperature than those heat-treated at $510^{\circ}C$. In the range of $310\sim400^{\circ}C$, the strain rate sensitivity of the specimens finally heat-treated at $510^{\circ}C$ was $30.4\%\sim33.7\%$ lower but the work hardening exponent index of the specimens was a little higher than that without dynamic strain aging effect.
