온라인 의류 점포유형에 따른 점포속성 중요도 (The Importance of On-line Store Characteristics Depending on On-line Store Type)

  • This study investigated the differences in the importance of store characteristics depending on on-line clothing store type and consumer age. The questionnaires were given to female residents in the ages between 20-39 in Seoul and Kyung-gi province during October 2006. The results were summarized as follows: 1. By analyzing the differences in importances of on-line store characteristics factors it was found that buying process service factor and product searching system factor were important in on-line general merchandise store. and buying process service factor and product factor(all the factors, such as store credit, product, screen-displayed design, searching and approaching system, customer management service) were important in on-line specialty store. 2. By analyzing the differences in importances of on-line store characteristics depending on the store type, buying process system such as refund policy, shipping, high-speed payment and rapid searching, screen-displayed design system, approaching and searching system were more important in on-line general merchandise store when comparing to specialty store. It also showed that the consumer considered the reputation of the store and its image more important in on-line general merchandise store. 3. By analyzing the differences in of on-line clothing store importance depending on age, in the case of on-line general merchandise store, it showed that people in their thirties regarded buying process service factor more important than twenties, and when it came to the product and searching system, it was vice versa. Twenties had a tendency to consider the aspect of product important and, relatively, thirties regarded searching and approaching system factor important. in the case of specialty store. It was found that women in their twenties had a tendency to consider product factor more important.

의류제품 구매 시 점포선택행동유형에 관한 질적 연구 (The Qualitative Study on the Types of Store Choice Behaviors in the Purchase of Apparel Products)

  • As the role of retail stores in distribution channels becomes more significant and competition among them becomes more fierce, retail stores are making efforts to gain a dominant position in market share. And as such, consumer store choice behaviour is becoming more diverse and complex. The purpose of this study was to analysis the store choice process and to aid in understanding the types of store choice behaviors. 30 subjects were sampled by focus sampling and investigated by in-depth interview. Some consumers went through all stages of store choice process and others skipped some. The consumers who usually had no plan to visit stores and who purchase without problem recognition process were categorized as opportunity-taking type, and the consumers who visited just one store without external search of other store information were categorized as store-loyal type. Finally, the consumers who searched store information externally were divided into brand-oriented type and value-seeking type. The brand-oriented type represented the consumers who did not evaluate stores in detail because which store to visit was decided on brand; and the value-seeking type represented the consumers who did in fact evaluate stores in more detail according to the items and trends in fashion. This study is meaningful in that it provides a dynamic store choice process and examines related variables thereto.

온라인 쇼핑객의 점포태도가 점포만폭도와 점포층성도에 미치는 영향 (Shopper′s Attitude toward Online Stores: Effects on Store Satisfaction and Store Loyalty)

  • The purposes of this study were to examine: 1)the dimensions of online store attitude; 2)the differences in the online store attitude by product category and store type; and 3)the effects of online store attitude on store satisfaction and store loyalty. Data were obtained from an online questionnaire survey to 850 online shoppers who were randomly selected from the panel of an online survey agency, and 615 responses were analyzed. Factor analysis extracted 5 dimensions of store attitude including: process and security; service; promotion and presentation; price and quality; and merchandise. MANOVA revealed a significant difference in the price and quality factor by product category and store type. Multiple regression showed that the effects of price and quality, service, and process and security on store satisfaction were significant. Also, price and quality had a significant direct effect on store loyalty which was also affected by store satisfaction.

상황과 소비자 특성의 지각된 위험, 상점속성의 중요도 및 상점선택행동에 대한 영향 (Interactive Effects of Situation and Personal Characteristics on Perceived Risk, Importance of Store Attributes and Store-Type Choice)

  • The purpose of this was to test the interactive effects of usage situation and personal characteristics on perceived risk, importance of store attributes and store-type choice. The data were collected via a questionnaire from 601 housewives of ages 20's∼ 50's living in Seoul, Korea, and analyzed by factor analysis and repeated measure two-way ANOVA. The results of this study were as follows: First, the interactive effect of age and situation on economic risk was significant. Second, the significant infraction of age and situation on importance of product price/variety was found, and there were significant intractions of education and situation on importance of service/convenience, discount policy and product information sources/promotion. Third, the interactive effects of situation and personal characteristics (age, income, education or job) on store-type choice (brand chain store, discount store, department store, designer boutique, local store or a wholesale market) were significant.

소비자의 의류제품별 점포혼합애고행동에 관한 연구 (Consumers' Store Patronage Mix Behavior by Fashion Product type)

  • As consumers' alternatives in fashion store selection increase, they select different store types to purchase different product types. Therefore, the probability of patronage mix behavior according to product type increases. Understanding consumers patronage mix behavior, finding out the determinant attributes of fashion stores for each product type are important to retailers and marketers for building a successful merchandising and marketing strategies. Most of the previous researches in store selection and patronage assume consumer behavior as single store patronage, and thus relatively little is known about patronage mix behavior. Also, little attention has been given to product characteristics as an important variable in store patronage behavior. The purposes of this study were to determine the effects of product characteristics in consumers patronage mix behavior. In this study, a theoretical model including product characteristics as an intervening variable between store attributes and patronage behavior was developed. A Questionnaire was developed and data were collected form 464 adult women living in Seoul area in Korea. Factor analysis, paired t-test, ANOVA, Duncan test and discriminant analysis were employed to analyze the data. As a result, the suggested model was partially verified. First, the product characteristic was found to have an effect on perceived importance of store attributes and on determinant attributes of stores. Consumers were found to use different evaluative criteria for store attributes when they purchase different product types. Second, the perceived importance of store attributes was determined by consumer characteristics as well as product characteristics. Third, the determinant attributes in store selection were affected not only by the perceived importance of store attributes but also by the type of product to be purchased.

소매점의 점주특성과 점포특성이 경영성과에 미치는 영향: 부산·울산지역 나들가게를 중심으로 (Effects of Store Owners and Store Characteristics on Retail Store Management Performance: Focusing on Nadle Store in Busan and Ulsan Regions)

  • 본 연구는 나들가게의 점포특성과 점주특성이 경영성과에 어떻게 영향을 미치는지를 구체적으로 살펴보았다. 첫째, 사업경력과 동일거주여부에 따른 매출실적을 분석한 결과 사업장 비거주가 84.2만원으로 거주보다 9.2만원 높게 나타났으며, 사업경력으로는 5년 미만이 86.0만원으로 가장 높았으며, 특히 5년 미만 경력을 가진 점주 중 비거주가 91.8만원으로 가장 높게 나타났다. 둘째, 운영형태와 매장 규모에 따른 매출실적을 분석한 결과 매출이 가장 높은 운영형태는 마트형이었고 다음으로 청과물 포함형태가 평균 87.4만원으로 높게 나타났다. 매장 규모별로 살펴보면, 60㎡ 이상이 79.0만원으로 높게 나타났다. 60㎡ 이상 중 매출액이 가장 높은 운영형태는 마트형으로 96.0만원이었으며, 다음으로 편의점이 평균 93.3만원으로 높게 나타났다. 이러한 결과는 향후 정부의 소상공인 정책뿐 아니라 소매점포 경영효율화의 방안을 제시하는데 참고자료가 될 것으로 판단된다.

패션 플래그십 스토어 분석: 특성, 유형, 소비자 반응 (Fashion flagship stores: Characteristics, brand types, and consumer responses)

  • This study explores the characteristics of fashion flagship stores from the consumer's viewpoint, examines the differences by brand type in the flagship store characteristics, store experience, in-store emotion, and the post-visit brand response, and compares those of the flagship store with other stores of the brand. Flagship stores of the four brand types including luxury, SPA, retail, and national brands were selected for the online survey. Data from 537 respondents who visited and selected one of those stores were analyzed. Five factors including facility/service, scale/product lines, brand identity, location, and publicity were extracted from the characteristics of flagship store. There were differences in the perceived flagship store characteristics by brand type; The luxury and retail brands were more highly perceived in facility/service comparing to the SPA brand. Store experience and brand response were also different by brand type; Perceptions of the luxury brand were also higher than of the SPA brand. Overall, consumer responses to the luxury brand were higher than to the SPA brand. Consumer responses to the flagship store were higher than to other stores of the same brand. The study discusses further implications.

파사드가 의류브랜드 점포이미지와 점포태도에 미치는 영향 (Fashion retail store facades and the creation of store image and store attitude)

  • Successful use of displays in stores arouses consumers' curiosity, and induces them to purchase a product after a visit. Facade is a word meaning an external front wall of a building, and is usually the first point of visual contact for the consumers. The present study is an empirical investigation of external appearance of a clothing store, with a $2{\times}2{\times}2$ factorial design of facade, show window, and wall surface material designed for the purpose of the study. Dependent variables were store image variables and attitude toward store. A total of 320 questionnaires from male and female consumers were used for the analysis. Facade type and material had significant main and interaction effects, while show window type had no meaningful effects overall. A facade of irregular design prompted significantly higher levels of perceived 'elegance', 'uniqueness', and 'attractiveness' of the store. Material itself did not have significant influence but did have significant interaction effect with facade design. The interaction effect was found in store attitude as well. In order to create a positive store attitude, a concrete material facade should have an irregular design. Companies owning fashion brands should carefully select facade type and wall surface material in the visual merchandising strategies of a store.

중국 대학생의 의복 쇼핑 성향에 따른 점포 평가 기준, 의복 평가 기준 및 캐쥬얼 의류 구매 행동 (Store Evaluative Criteria, Clothing Evaluative Criteria, and Purchasing Behavior for Casual Wear according to Shopping Orientation of Chinese College Students)

  • The purpose of this study was to identify the differences in store evaluative criteria, clothing evaluative criteria, and purchasing behavior for casual wear among groups with different types of shopping orientation. Data were collected from 175 female and 169 male college students living in Beijing, and analysed by factor analysis, cluster analysis, ANDVA, Duncan test, crosstabulation analysis, and frequency analysis. Chinese college students were classified into four groups by their shopping orientations; fashion-pursuit type, individuality-pursuit type, practical type, and apathetic type. Significant differences were found in store evaluative criteria, clothing evaluative criteria, purchasing behaviors, and demographic characteristics. The fashion-pursuit type and individuality-pursuit type were more influenced by store location and service, product attributes, and fashion. They purchased more frequently and spent more money. Esthetic clothing evaluative criteria were considered more important by the individuality-pursuit type than the others, and symbolic clothing evaluative criteria by the fashion-pursuit type.

복합원산지제품의 카테고리 유사성 및 매장유형에 따른 소비자평가의 비교연구 (A comparative study of consumer evaluation according to category similarity and store type of bi-national product)

  • 본 연구는 복합원산지제품에 대한 평가를 파악하기 위해 제품의 카테고리 유사성에 따라 구분하고 매장유형 별로 비교해 봄으로써, 복합원산지제품을 생산하는 기업들에게 실무적으로 활용 가능한 대안을 제시하고자 하였다. 이를 위해 본 연구는 복합원산지제품의 평가를 제품카테고리 별로 비교하기 위해 소비자들의 심리적 기저를 바탕으로 공적사치재, 공적필수재, 사적사치재, 사적필수재로 구분하여 분석에 적용하였으며, 매장의 유형은 백화점/직영점, 아울렛/할인매장으로 구분하여 측정의 정교화를 기하고자 하였다. 검증결과, 제품유형과 매장유형에 따라 브랜드평가 및 매장평가는 상호작용효과가 있는 것으로 나타났다. 구체적으로 공적사치재의 경우 브랜드평가와 매장평가 모두 아울렛/할인매장이 백화점/직영매장 보다 긍정적인 평가가 나타나는 것으로 분석되었으며, 사적필수재의 경우는 브랜드평가에서 큰 차이를 보이지 않았으나 매장평가에서 백화점/직영매장이 아울렛/할인매장 보다 상대적으로 긍정적인 평가를 보이는 것을 확인할 수 있었다. 이를 통해, 각각의 제품 별로 판매매장 유형에 따라 소비자들의 평가가 달라질 수 있음을 검증하였다.
