사고사망자의 심층적 실증분석을 통한 예방적 개입점 발견 연구 (Finding on Preventive Intervention of Fatal Occupational Injuries Through Empirical Analysis of Accident Death)

  • The 7,993 cases of Survey Report of Fatal Industrial Accidents conducted jointly by the MEOL and the KOSHA for the recent seven years(2007-2013) were categorized according to personal and occupational characteristics, industry types, business sizes, job types, activities at the time accident, types of accidents, material agents(assailing materials), unsafe conditions, and unsafe acts. And it is found that among the 72.2 percent of fatal occupational accidents in the construction and manufacturing industries are caused by falling, sticking, bumping and being caught under objects & overturning. For this study, through the empirical analysis on causes of fatal industrial accidents, was used to identity high risk groups based on total data of 7,993 victims of occupational accidents. An annual fatal occupational injury (FOI) rate per 10,000 workers was about 0.47‱. The middle-aged group and the elderly group showed the highest FOI rates per 10,000 workers (0.73‱, 0.80‱), and the daily workers showed the highest FOI rate (1.46‱), and the craft and related trades workers showed the highest FOI rate (2.17‱). In case of industry type the mining industry (7.26‱) showed the highest FOI rate, followed by the sewerage, waste management, materials recovery and remediation activity industry (3.91‱) and the construction industry (2.71‱). The primary high risk target group that requires a strategy designed to reduce fatal occupation injuries caused by falling and bumping & contact(collision) is the construction industry, and the secondary high risk target group in the construction industry is classified as the equipment, machine operating and assembling workers in the construction industry, those aged 50 years old and above need the prevention measures against bumping & contact(collision) and being caught under an object & falling(objects), while those aged less than 50 years old need prevention measures against falling(persons).

Inferomedially impacted zygomatic fracture reduction by reverse vector using an intraoral approach with Kirschner wire

  • Background In inferomedially rotated zygomatic fractures sticking in the maxillary sinus, it is often difficult to achieve complete reduction only by conventional intraoral reduction. We present a new intraoral reduction technique using a Kirschner wire and its clinical outcome. Methods Among 39 inferomedially impacted zygomatic fractures incompletely reduced by a simple intraoral reduction trial with a bone elevator, a Kirschner wire (1.5 mm) was vertically inserted from the zygomatic body to the lateral orbital rim in 17 inferior-dominant rotation fractures and horizontally inserted to the zygomatic arch in nine medial-dominant and 13 bidirectional rotation fractures. A Kirschner wire was held with a wire holder and lifted in the superolateral or anterolateral direction for reduction. Following reduction of the zygomaticomaxillary fracture, internal fixation was performed. Results Fractures were completely reduced using only an intraoral approach with Kirschner wire reduction in 33 cases and through an additional lower lid or transconjunctival incision in six cases. There were no surgical complications except in one patient with undercorrection. Postoperative 6-month computed tomography scans showed complete bone union and excellent bone alignment. Four patients experienced difficulty with upper lip elevation; however, these problems spontaneously resolved after manual tissue lump massage and intralesional steroid (Triamcinolone) injection. Conclusions We completely reduced infraorbital rim fractures, zygomaticomaxillary buttresses, and zygomaticofrontal suture fractures in 84% of patients through an intraoral approach alone. Intraoral Kirschner wire reduction may be a useful option by which to obtain effective and powerful reduction motion of an inferomedially rotated zygomatic body.

Pre-Hospital and In-Hospital Management of an Abdominal Impalement Injury Caused by a Tree Branch

  • In South Korea, most patients who visit trauma centers with abdominal injuries have blunt trauma, and penetrating injuries are relatively rare. In extremely rare cases, some patients are admitted with a long object penetrating their abdomen, and these injuries are referred to as abdominal impalement injuries. Most cases of impalement injuries lead to fatal bleeding, and patients often die at the scene of the accident. However, patients who survive until reaching the hospital can have a good prognosis with optimal treatment. A 68-year-old female patient was admitted to the trauma center with a 4-cm-thick tree branch impaling her abdomen. The patient was transported by a medical helicopter and had stable vital signs at admission. The branch sticking out of the abdomen was quite long; thus, we carefully cut the branch with an electric saw to perform computed tomography (CT). CT revealed no signs of major blood vessel injury, but intestinal perforation was observed. During laparotomy, the tree branch was removed after confirming that there were no vascular injuries, and enterostomy was performed because of extensive intestinal injury. After treating other injuries, the patient was discharged without any complications except colostomy. Abdominal impalement injuries are treated using various approaches depending on the injury mechanism and injured region. However, the most important consideration is that the impaled object should not be removed during transportation and resuscitation. Instead, it should only be removed after checking for injuries to blood vessels during laparotomy in an environment where injury control is possible.

  • In offshore plants, various equipments including cranes and davits are used for safety management. Hydraulic cylinder type actuators are mainly used for luffing operations such as cranes and davits. However, in the case of a cylinder using hydraulic pressure, a separate power pack is required to supply hydraulic pressure. When used for a long time, maintenance costs such as sticking of hydraulic valves, contamination of hydraulic oil and deterioration of hydraulic hoses occur. In addition, a lot of hydraulic oil is used in the handling of cranes and davits, which causes marine pollution due to management problems. As a result, as interest in marine pollution prevention has increased recently, interest in actuators that do not use hydraulic pressure is also increasing. Therefore, in this study, we intend to develop a davit with an electric cylinder type actuator that uses electricity rather than hydraulic pressure by the SOLAS regulation. In other words, the conceptual design of the davit driven through the linear motion of the ball screw using electricity is performed, and the structural safety of the drive is also reviewed so that it can be utilized in the industrial field.

연속 주조기의 주형 진동 진단 시스템의 개발 (Development of Diagnosis System of Mold Oscillation in a Continuous Slab Casting Machine)

  • In order to prevent shell sticking by providing sufficient lubrication between the strand and the mold, the mold oscillation has been used. Now it is well known that the shape of the oscillation curve has a decisive effect on the surface quality of the cast product. Besides, oscillation parameters such as stroke and frequency are also very important. In order to guarantee that parameters which have been found to be optimal for a certain grade of steel do not change with time, periodical checks of the physical condition of the whole equipment are necessary. The portable mold oscillation analyzer with integrated computer, developed by POSCO, records the movement of the mold in every spatial direction. The system uses the gap sensors to measure the mold movement (displacement ) in the two horizontal directions according to the mold narrow and broad faces and the vertical strokes in the four corners of mold. The gap sensor is a non-contacting minute displacement measuring device using the principle of high frequency eddy current loss. The mold oscillation diagnosis system integrates the gap sensors, their converters and the industrial portable computer with plug-in data acquisition boards. The all programs, such as the fast Fourier transformation module (amplitude and phase spectrums) and harmonic analysis module, was coded by LabVIEW$^{TM}$ software as the graphical language. In an own 'expert module' which is included in the diagnosis program, one can obtain much information about the mold oscillation equipment.

부식성 유체 누출 사고사례 연구를 통한 저장탱크 레벨게이지 적정설치에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Proper Installation of Storage Tank Measuring Instruments through a Case Study of Corrosive Fluid Leak Accident)

  • 수도권 내 화학공장에서 부식성 유체를 펌프로 저장탱크에 공급하던 도중 수위파악이 정확히 되지 않아 상부 배기벤트로 부식성유체가 누출되는 사고가 발생하였다. 누출 사고가 발생한데는 다양한 원인이 있지만 직접 원인인 레벨게이지의 수위 지시계가 고착되는 것에 초점을 맞추었다. 분석 결과 사고가 발생한 사업장에서 사용되는 수위 지시계를 임의로 교체하였으며, 사고발생인 여름에 Tubular 방식의 레벨게이지는 열팽창이 쉽게 일어나서 다른 형태보다 고착이 발생될 수 있는 것으로 파악되었다. 또한 국내에는 저장탱크에 설치되는 계측기기의 설치기준이 명확치 않아 적정설치 검토에 어려움이 있었다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 사고사례 및 해외기준을 바탕으로 저장탱크 계측기기류 설치 시 유의사항에 대해 검토하였다.

향수(向秀)의 인성(人性)에 대한 이해 (A study on the perspective of the human nature of Xiang-xiu)

  • 향수(向秀)는 위진현학(魏晋玄學)의 발전에서 자연(自然)과 명교(名敎), 개체의식과 사회의식을 합일을 모색했다. 이러한 그의 입장은 정욕(情欲)과 인륜(人倫)을 중심으로 인성(人性)을 파악하는 관점에서 두드러진다. 향수(向秀)는 인성(人性)이 모든 사물의 생성변화의 근본인 '자연지리(自然之理)'로부터 비롯된다고 하여, 정욕(情欲)과 인륜(人倫)에 타당한 근거를 부여한다. 또한 정욕(情欲)은 이성적 사유능력을 바탕으로 우리의 생명을 충실하게 하는 원동력으로 파악하는 동시에, 부정적 욕망에 대해서는 사회성이자 사회규범이라 할 수 있는 '예(禮)'로써 절제할 것을 주장한다. 따라서 향수(向秀)의 인성(人性)은 긍정적 욕망 충족을 이끄는 동시에 부정적 욕망을 제어하는 주체이다. 이러한 그의 관점은 '임성(任性)'과 '당분(當分)'의 논의에서도 확인할 수 있다. 즉 긍정적 욕망은 충족하고 부정적 욕망은 제어할 수 있는 구체적 내용이 이미 본성에 자리하는 동시에 그에 근거하는 사회 규범과 질서로 마련되어 있다. 이러한 향수(向秀)의 인성론(人性論)은 자연스러운 본성과 욕망 및 도덕성과 사회규범의 통일을 강조함으로써 현학(玄學)의 주요 문제인 자연(自然)과 명교(名敎)의 합일을 꾀하였다.

다문화 가족 시부모들에 대한 연구 -해석학적 근거이론 방법 접근- (The Qualitative study about parent's in law of multiculture family - Hermeneutical grounded theory methology -)

  • 본 연구는 다문화 가족의 시부모들에 대한 연구로 시부모들의 구술자료를 토대로 시부모들과 외국출신 며느리들과의 상호작용 내용과 과정을 살펴보고자 했다. 연구는 해석학적 근거이론 방법으로 접근했으며 6명의 다문화 가족 시부모들이 참여했으며 자료는 심층 면담과 문서기록 수집을 통해 구성했다. 자료분석 결과 83개의 의미단위 22개의 범주 그리고 9개의 해석학적 주제를 구성했으며 해석학적 주제를 중심으로 연구 참여자들의 상호작용 내용과 과정을 살펴보았다. 연구자들은 해석학적 주제와 연구내용을 근거로 하여 다문화 가정 시부모들과 며느리들의 문화접변 과정을 ① 자기의 영역 고수하기 → ② 전략적 수용 → ③ 상호이해에 기초한 공존의 그늘 만들기 → ④ 자기의 해체와 재구성으로 기술했다. 그리고 다문화 가족의 가족 안정성과 관계의 질을 제고하기 위한 사회복지적 개입방안으로 「문화 유능성 강화를 위한 시부모·며느리 연계 프로그램」을 제언했다.

인삼정과의 제조에 있어 당 종류에 따른 품질학적 특성 (Quality Characteristics of Ginseng Jung Kwa Obtained by Different Sugar Treatments)

  • 인삼정과 제조 시 물성학적 품질을 향상하는데 기초자료를 얻고자 sucrose, glucose, honey 및 fructose 등 4종의 당을 각각 첨가하여 제조한 인삼정과에 대하여 진세노사이드 함량, 물성 및 색도를 기계적인 측정치와 관능요원들의 평가치에 의하여 특성을 조사하였다. 조성 진세노사이드 중에서 Rf가 당 종류종별에 따라 각기 함량에 큰 차이를 보여 sucrose로 제조한 인삼정과에서 가장 함량이 높았으며 glucose>honey>fructose의 순으로 높은 결과를 보여주었고 검출된 7종의 진세노사이드의 총 함량은 sucrose로 제조한 인삼정과가 10.0 mg/g으로 가장 높은 함량을 보였으며 glucose>honey>fructose의 순으로 높아 fructose로 제조한 인삼정과가 가장 낮은 함량을 보여주었다. Hardness와 adhesiveness가 가장 높은 것은 fructose를 이용하여 제조한 정과이었고 stiffness, cohesiveness, gumminess, chewiness 및 springiness는 honey를 이용하여 제조한 정과이었으며 fracture force는 당 종류에 따라 차이가 크게 나지 않았다. 당 종류별 정과제품의 편차는 honey가 가장 높게 나타나 제품의 균일성이 떨어지는 현상을 보였다. 정과의 색도 중 밝기, 적색도 및 황색도 모두 sucrose에서 가장 높았으며 적색도가 가장 낮은 것은 glucose, 황색도는 fructose에서 가장 낮게 나타났다. 정과제조 시 당의 종류 중 fructose 함량이 높을수록 갈색화가 크게 일어남을 볼 수 있었다. 관능평가에서는 honey를 이용한 인삼정과가 조직도와 전체적인 기호도면에서 가장 좋았으며 fructose를 이용한 정과는 조직도면에서 기호도가 가장 낮았다.

근대 이후 죽의 조리과정 변화 연구 -팥죽, 잣죽, 타락죽을 중심으로- (A Study on Changes in the Cooking Process of Gruel in Cook Books Written during Last 100 Years)

  • The purpose of this study was to investigate changes in the cooking process of $Pat-juk$(red beans porridge), $Jat-juk$(pine-nut porridge) and $Tarak-juk$(milk porridge) in cooking books published after Korean modern era, approximately from late 19th century to the present. We analyzed 11 historical cook books were analyzed. It is found that the amount of red beans used for $Pat-juk$ was the same or more than that of rice but never less than rice. Only one cook book suggested sugar as seasoning for final taste, but all the other cook books mentioned salt for final taste. $Hangukeumat$(1987) suggested the method for obtaining optimum color for $Pat-juk$. After smashing and passing through the cooked red beans, collecting the red bean water to boil first and then adding the passed through red beans to boil together, in which rice will be added the last to be boiled. For $Jat-juk$, the ratio of the amount of pine-nut and rice were varied among cook books that the amount of pine-nut can be more, same or less than rice. $Jat-juk$ can have salty or sweet, so sugar, honey or salt were used for final seasoning. Pine-nut and rice were cooked together or cooked successively depending on cook books. The changes in cooking procedures of $Tarak-juk$ were the portion of milk used and the method of preparing rice before making the porridge. Firstly, the portion of milk increased over time. $Tarak-juk$ can be also tasting both sweet or salty, so sugar or salt was used for final seasoning. Secondly, two method of preparing rice were found; one is that rice was ground after soaking in water and the other is that rice was ground and toasted before putting into the porridge. When the ground rice was toasted, the milk was added with water at the same time because the cooking time of the porridge with toasted rice was shortened so that the milk could be added earlier than the other method without the risk of sticking on the bottom of the pot. In further studies, the cooking procedures used in the previous period of the late 19th century should be examined. Also after restoring all the cooking methods suggested in cook books, the comparison of the sensorial and nutritional value needs to be carried out for applying or reinventing new recipe for food industry.
