Analysis of Design Factors of Knit Design according to Golfwear Brand Image (골프웨어 브랜드 이미지에 따른 니트디자인 설계 요인 분석)

  • Competition is intensifying as the golfwear market grows and expands rapidly due to the influx of MZ generation golfers, so it is necessary to plan knit golfwear products suitable to consumer needs The purpose of this study is to contribute to product planning by analyzing knit design factors according to the brand image of golfwear. First, the top five sales brands surveyed by Apparel News were selected. The selected brands were G-Fore, PXG, Malbon Golf, Titleist, and Mark & Lona. Knit products sold by the selected golfwear brands were investigated based on design factors, such as image, item, stich, yarn, color, and pattern to analyze knit design factors according to brand image. G-Fore's modern classical image was influenced by pullovers, vest items, 100% wool, color contrast, intasha stich, and monotone colors. PXG's sporty modern image was due to a mixture of rayon and polyester in jumper items, while Malbon Golf's American casual image applied character patterns and intasha knitwear. Line points, plain knitwear, and monotone colors were analyzed as design factors for Titleist's modern minimal image, while Mark & Lona's classic casual was analyzed as knit design factors, such as check patterns and jacquard knitwear. Differences in knit design factors according to brand image can be identified.

2D Adjacency Matrix Generation using DCT for UWV contents

  • Since a display device such as TV or signage is getting larger, the types of media is getting changed into wider view one such as UHD, panoramic and jigsaw-like media. Especially, panoramic and jigsaw-like media is realized by stitching video clips, which are captured by different camera or devices. In order to stich those video clips, it is required to find out 2D Adjacency Matrix, which tells spatial relationships among those video clips. Discrete Cosine Transform (DCT), which is used as a compression transform method, can convert the each frame of video source from the spatial domain (2D) into frequency domain. Based on the aforementioned compressed features, 2D adjacency Matrix of images could be found that we can efficiently make the spatial map of the images by using DCT. This paper proposes a new method of generating 2D adjacency matrix by using DCT for producing a panoramic and jigsaw-like media through various individual video clips.

Sewing Construction of the 17th Century-Clothing Through the Excavated Costume - Based on Tombs in O chang - (출토복식을 통해본 17세기 봉제구성 -임경백.임계백 묘 중심-)

  • This study is on the sewing construction of the 17th century clothing through the Excavated Costumes in O-chang, ChungBuk in 1998. The followings are the results of this study. There are various sewing constructions in this excavates costume : a running stitch.a back stitch.a half back stitch.a french seam.a gobsol(korean traditional seam sewing). We can see that the sewing construction of the 17th century-clothing depends on construction styles : one layer, two layers, clothing padded with cotton(include quilt). We can see that sewing construction in the one taler clothing consisted of a running stitch, a french seam, a gobsol seam. In the two layer clothing the construction included a running stitch and half back stitch. a running switch and a decorated top stitch(3stitch) were used in the clothing padded with cotton. We can see that the sewing construction enhanced the function of keeping the shape of clothing and the raw edges. We can see that the shape of clothing is important in presentation of aesthetic of the clothing. Such a kind of sewing construction lasted from the early Chosen Dynasty through the 17th century.

A study on design characteristics of women's knit golf wear - Focusing on golf wear brands - (여성 니트 골프웨어 디자인 특성에 관한 연구 - 골프웨어 브랜드 중심으로 -)

  • As the golfwear market grows rapidly and expands due to the influx of MZ generation golfers, competition among brands is intensifying, so it is necessary to plan knit golf wear products that are suitable for the consumer needs. The purpose of this study is to contribute to product planning by analyzing the design characteristics of women's knitted golfwear products among golfwear brands. First, the top 10 brands, as selected by Golf Magazine, were used for analysis. The selected brands include PXG, Titleist Apparel, Wide Angle, Pearlygates, Footjoy Golf, Castelbajac, Fantom, Ping, Le Coq Golf, and PGA Tour & LPGA. 692 women's cross-knit knitwear products were investigated based on design elements, such as flat tissue, gauge, color, pattern, image, and items. The characteristics of women's knitted golfwear showed a high utilizations of Jacquard and high gauge Intarsiafor pattern expression and a low variety of deformed stich. The proportion of achromatic colors is large, and many brands use point colors based on black and white. Brand identity is important, and brand letters, Monograms are frequently used, and the proportion of sportive and modern image in the products is high. With the increase of MZ generation golfers, the preferred design direction will change and gradually deepen.

The Use of Arthroscopic UU Stich for Rotator Cuff Tear and Clinical Results (회전근 개 파열의 관절경하 봉합에서 새로운 봉합 방법의 이용)

  • Purpose: There are various known methods for arthroscopic rotator cuff repair. The purpose of this retrospective study is to report on the clinical results and anatomical results of UU repair surgery, which is a new repair method. Materials and Methods: We enrolled 156 patients (88 men and 68 women) who underwent UU repair for rotator cuff tears from January 2009 to May 2010 in our hospital. Their average age was 55 years old (range: 38~75 years old) and the average follow-up period was 12 months (range: 6~23 months). For determining the results, we evaluated the VAS for pain, the daily living index (ADL) in the ASES scores, the UCLA and KSS scores, and all these tests were conducted at the first hospital visit and 6 months and 1 year after surgery and at the final follow-up. During the follow-up period, MRI was performed 3 and 6 months after surgery only in the patients who consented to MRI scans to confirm the presence of re-rupture. Results: The average scores of the VAS as a pain indicator decreased from 7.0 before surgery to 2.7 after surgery (p<0.05). The UCLA and KSS scores increased from 22.2 to 32.5 and from 83.7 to 91.5, and the changes was significant (p<0.05). For the active joint range of motion, the average forward flexion was improved from 125 to 175 degrees, the average lateral external rotation was improved from 38 to 58 degrees, and the average abduction was improved from 104 to 169 degrees. Out of a total of 156 patients, re-rupture was observed in 4 cases (3%) of 117 cases (75%) for which MRI was performed (with consent) between 3 and 6 months after surgery. Conclusion: UU repair surgery as arthroscopic repair of rotator cuff tear is a good repair method that shows excellent clinical results and a low re-rupture rate.
