통계기법을 활용한 포장파손자료의 잠재오차 보정 (Correction of Latent Errors in Pavement Deterioration Data using Statistical Methods)

  • 성공적인 자산관리시스템의 도입은 풍부하고도 신뢰할 수 있는 데이터와 함께 시작된다. 그러나 현실에서는 알려지지 않은 다양한 원인에서 비롯되는 관측 오차들은 항상 존재하기 마련이다. 이는 관리자의 유지보수활동을 방해하며 파손과정이나 생애주기비용 예측결과의 신뢰성에도 악영향을 미친다. 무엇보다도 관리자가 자신의 손으로 직접 조사한 자료를 믿지 못하는 모순된 결과를 낳는다. 이런 현상은 도로포장관리분야에서 특히나 심각하다. 도로관리자들은 이러한 사실에 대해 충분히 인식하고 있으나, 현실적으로 오차 없는 조사를 수행한다는 것은 하나의 큰 도전이라고도 할 수 있다. 이러한 점들을 고려하여 본 연구에서는 포장표면 조사자료에 포함된 오류 및 잠재오차를 보정하기 위한 통계적 방법론을 제시하고자 하였다. 방법론으로는 오차의 구조 및 신뢰도를 고려할 수 있도록 확률분포이론에 근거한 두 가지 기법(샘플기준법과 분포기준법)을 제안하였다. 제안된 방법론은 국도에서 수집된 포장상태자료들을 활용하여 적용 가능성을 살펴보았으며, 그 결과 눈에 보이는 오류들만을 제거하는 일반적인 방법론으로는 포장자료에 포함된 불확실성을 충분히 고려할 수 없음을 확인하였다. 제안된 방법론은 도로자산관리에 필요한 다양한 분석의 신뢰성을 개선하는데 유용하게 활용될 수 있을 것이다.

전방머리자세와 중립자세에 대한 인위적 자세변화가 호흡에 미치는 영향 (Effect of the Changes in Forward Head Posture and Neutral Head Posture on Respiratory)

  • Purpose : Forward head posture is typical neck disorders occur in all people. And this attitude causes a shortening and weakening of the muscles in the body. It also causes excessive extension acts as a reward. This attitude has to change if the pain occurs around the neck and shoulders, and are subjected to unusual stress. Patients with chronic neck pain associated with forward head posture was found to be the more severe the fall of the respiratory, forward head posture poor quality of much breath. The purpose of this study was to compare the effect of changes in forward head posture and neutral head posture on respiratory. Method : Forty volunteers were participated in study and divided into two groups [forward head posture group (n=20) and neutral head posture group (n=20)]. We measured cervical alignment with global postural system to find out a forward head posture. Respiratory function was measured with a SPIROVIT SP-1 equipment and we found out a forced vital capacity (FVC), forced expiratory volume at one second (FEV1) and FEV1/FVC. A pared t-test was used to determine a statistical significance for the pulmonary function variation and a independent t-test was used to determine a statistical significance in the two groups. Results : In the experimental group, FVC and FEV1 were significantly higher in the artificial neutral head posture than in the forward head posture. In the control group, FVC and FEV1 were significantly higher in the neutral head posture than in the forward head posture. FVC, FEV1, and FEV1/ FVC were significantly higher in the neutral head posture of control group than the artificial neutral head posture of experimental group and higher in the artificial forward head posture of control group than the forward head posture of experimental group. Conclusion : In conclusion, neutral head posture is considered to be an important factor in correct posture and improvement of lung function and continuous study of posture correction program for posture imbalance will be needed.

The Safety and Efficacy of Cadaveric Allografts and Titanium Cage as a Fusion Substitutes in Pyogenic Osteomyelitis

  • Objective : The safety and efficacy of various fusion substitutes in pyogenic osteomyelitis has not been investigated. We evaluated and compared the cadaveric allograft and titanium cages used to reconstruct, maintain alignment and achieve fusion in the management of pyogenic spinal infection. Methods : There were 33 patients with pyogenic osteomyelitis underwent fusion in this study. Fifteen of the 33 patients were operated on by fusion with allografts (cadaveric patella bones) and 18 of those were operated with titanium mesh cages filled with autologous cancellous iliac bone. After the affected disc and vertebral body resection with pus drainage, cadaveric allograft or titanium cages were inserted into the resected space. Posterior transpedicular screw fixation and rod compression in resected space, where cadaveric allograft or titanium cages were inserted, was performed to prevent the malposition in all patients except in 1 case. Recurrent infection was identified by serial erythrocyte sedimentation rate and cross reactive protein follow-up. Osseous union and recurred infection available at a minimum of 2 years following operation was identified. The amount of kyphosis correction and the subsidence were measured radiographically. Results : Spinal fusion was achieved in 29 of 33 patients. In the cadaveric allograft group, 93.3% of patient (14 of 15) showed the osseous union while 83.3% of patient (15 of 18) in the titanium cage group showed union. Subsidence was noted in 12 of the patients. Twelve patients (36.3%) showed unsettling amounts of subsidence postoperatively whereas 46.6% of patients in the cadaveric allograft group and 37.7% of patients in the titanium cage group showed similar subsidence, respectively. There were statistical difference in the fusion rate (p=0.397) and subsidence rate (p=0.276) between the two groups. There was significant statistical difference in the postoperative improvement of segmental kyphosis between the two groups (p=0.022), that is the improvement in sagittal alignment was greater in the titanium cage group than in the cadaveric allograft group. There was no case of recurred infection. Conclusion : The cadaveric allograft and titanium cages are effective and safe in restoring and maintaining sagittal plane alignment without increased incidence in infection recurrence in pyogenic osteomyelitis. The postoperative improvement of segmental kyphosis was better in the cage group.

개별공시지가와 주택실거래가의 공간적 불일치에 관한 연구: 공간 단위 임의성 문제(MAUP)의 스케일 효과 탐색 (A Study on the Spatial Mismatch between the Assessed Land Value and Housing Market Price: Exploring the Scale Effect of the MAUP)

  • 공시지가제 및 주택가격 공시제는 토지나 주택 거래를 위한 지가 정보나 국세 및 지방세의 과세를 위한 기초자료로 폭넓게 활용되고 있지만, 실제 시장에서는 공시가에 비해 낮은 현실화율을 보이고 있다. 본 연구는 이러한 개별공시지가와 주택실거래가 사이의 공간적 불일치에 주목하고 있으며, 특히 개별 공시가격 산정에 적용될 수 있는 임의적 공간 단위의 효과에 초점을 맞추어 다음 두 가지를 살펴보고 있다. 첫째, 개별공시지가, 주택실거래가, 그리고 이들의 가격 차이에 대한 공간적 분포를 집계구 단위를 기반으로 살펴본다. 둘째, 표준지나 표준주택에 대한 가격 산정, 나아가 개별공시지가나 주택가격에 대한 비준표 적용에 영향을 미칠 수 있는 공간 단위 임의성 문제(MAUP)의 스케일 효과를 탐색한다. 서울시를 대상으로 GIS와 통계 소프트웨어를 이용하여 분석하였고, 그 결과 주택실거래가가 개별공시지가에 비해 높은 일부 군집 지역들을 상세한 수준에서 발견할 수 있었으며, 상이한 공간 스케일에 따라 개별공시지가에 대한 지역 특성 변수들의 통계적 결과가 다르게 나타나고 있음을 실증적으로 확인하였다.

디지털 방사선장치에서 구리 부가필터의 유용성 평가에 관한 융복합 연구 (A Convergence Study on Evaluation of Usefulness of Copper Additional Filter in the Digital Radiography System)

  • 본 연구는 저에너지 방사선을 제거하기 위해 사용되는 구리 여과판의 디지털 방사선 장비에서 유용성을 분석하고자 선량, 화질평가의 융복합 연구를 실시하였다. 실험기간은 2015년 4월부터 6월까지 이었다. 관전압과 관전류 변화에 따른 구리 여과판 사용 전, 0.1, 0.2, 0.3 mm 의 선량을 평가하였다. 화질평가는 PSNR, MAE, MSE, CNR, SNR 정성적 평가로는 국가암검진 흉부 평가표의 해상, 대조도 평가 7문항을 이용하였다. 흡수선량은 16-88 % 정도 여과판 사용 전에 비해 측정치 낮아졌고, 관전압이 높아짐에 따라 격차가 작아짐을 알 수 있었다. PSNR은 30 dB이상으로 모두 의미 있는 수치였고, CNR, SNR은 여과판 미사용 시 우수했으나 정성적 평가에서는 항목마다 통계적 유의성이 달랐다. 0.1 mm 여과판에서는 폐혈관 관찰 부위에서 측정치가 높고, 0.3 mm도 밀도가 높고 공기가 많은 부위를 제외하고 통계적으로 유의하지 않았다. 구리 여과판은 좋은 선질과 디지털촬영 장비의 장점인 보정 능력 이용하여 더 적은 선량으로 화질을 향상 시킬 수 있다.

MYLK Polymorphism Associated with Blood Eosinophil Level among Asthmatic Patients in a Korean Population

  • The myosin light chain kinase (MYLK) gene encodes both smooth muscle and nonmuscle cell isoforms. Recently, polymorphisms in MYLK have been reported to be associated with several diseases. To examine the genetic effects of polymorphisms on the risk of asthma and related phenotypes, we scrutinized MYLK by re-sequencing/genotyping and statistical analysis in Korean population (n = 1,015). Seventeen common polymorphisms located in or near exons, having pairwise $r^2$ values less than 0.25, were genotyped. Our statistical analysis did not replicate the associations with the risk of asthma and log-transformed total IgE levels observed among African descendant populations. However, two SNPs in intron 16 (+89872C> G and +92263T> C), which were in tight LD (|D'| = 0.99), revealed significant association with log-transformed blood eosinophil level even after correction multiple testing ($P=0.002/P^{corr}=0.01$ and $P=0.002/P^{corr}=0.01$, respectively). The log-transformed blood eosinophil levels were higher in individuals bearing the minor alleles for +89872C> G and +92263T> C than in those bearing other allele. In additional subgroup analysis, the genetic effects of both SNPs were much more apparent among asthmatic patients and atopic asthma patients. Among atopic asthma patients, the log-transformed blood eosinophil levels were proportionally increased by gene-dose dependent manner of in both +89872C> G and +92263T> C(P = 0.0002 and P = 0.00007, respectively). These findings suggest that MYLK polymorphisms might be among the genetic factors underlying differential increases of blood eosinophil levels among asthmatic patients. Further biological and/or functional studies are needed to confirm our results.

VAR과 VECM 모형을 이용한 해운시장 분석 (Analysis of Shipping Markets Using VAR and VECM Models)

  • 본 연구는 VAR 및 VECM 모형을 활용해 컨테이너선, 건화물선, VLCC(유조선) 해운시장의 물동량(수요), 선박량(공급), 운임(가격)의 동태적 특성을 분석한다. 이를 통해 시장 참여자들이 실제 업무에서 인지한 시장 특성을 통계적 패턴으로 이해할 수 있을 것으로 기대된다. 세 가지 해운시장 모두에서 나타나는 통계적 패턴은 다음과 같다: 1) 그란저 인과성 분석 결과, 전기에 선박량이 증가하면 다음기에는 운임이 하락한다. 2) 충격-반응 분석 결과, 물동량 충격은 운임을 상승시키고, 선박량 충격은 운임을 하락시킨다. 3) 물동량 충격, 선박량 충격, 운임 충격 중에서 운임 충격이 압도적으로 큰 것으로 나타났다. 4) 조정결정계수(adjR2)의 비교 결과, 선박량이 해운시장의 자체 변수(물동량, 선박량, 운임)에 의해 가장 잘 설명된다. 5) 공적분 벡터의 추정 결과, 물동량 증가는 운임을 상승시키고, 선박량 증가는 운임을 하락시킨다. 6) 교정 계수 추정 결과, 전기에 운임이 장기 균형보다 높으면 다음기에 하락 압력이 존재한다.

Relationship Between the Dose of Clodronate and Serum Level of Alkaline Phosphatase, Calcium, and Phosphate During Orthodontic Tooth Movement

  • Objective : To evaluate the relationship between the dose of Clodronate and serum level of alkaline phosphatase (ALP), calcium (Ca), and phosphate (PO4) during orthodontic tooth movement MaterialS and MethodS: A total of 18 sex-matched Wistar rats (weight=180~230g, mean age=8 weeks) were allocated into the 2.5mM Clodronate (2.5C) group, 10mM Clodronate (10C) group, or control group (n=6 for each group). After the application of a nickel-titanium closed coil spring (force of 60g) between the upper central incisors and first molars (UFM), 2.5C, 10C, or saline was injected every third day into the subperiosteum of the alveolar bone adjacent to UFM for the experimental and control groups. The animals were sacrificed 17 days later. Trunk blood was quickly collected into a heparinized tube and centrifuged at 2,000 rpm for 20 min. The plasma was used for the biochemical assays of the serum level of ALP, Ca, and PO4. Kruskall-Wallis test and Mann-Whitney test with Bonferroni correction were performed for the statistical analyses. Results : Dose-dependent increase in the level of ALP (P<0.01) and decrease in the level of Ca (P<0.001) were observed among the control, 2.5C, and 10C groups. Although there was no significant difference in PO4 between the 2.5C and 10C groups, the 10C group showed a significantly higher level of PO4 than the control group (P<0.01). Conclusion : Since Clodronate induced significant dose-dependent change in the serum level of ALP, Ca, and PO4 during orthodontic tooth movement, orthodontists should consider these biochemical markers not only as a diagnostic tool for bone turnover rate but also as a monitoring tool for orthodontic tooth movement.

편평족 중학생의 고관절 교정 운동 프로그램과 발교정구 착용 유무가 안정시 종골 기립 각도, 발목의 가동범위, 코어 근력에 미치는 영향 (The Effects of Corrective Hip Joint Exercises and Foot Orthotics on RCSP, Ankle's Range of Motion, and Core Muscle Strength for Middle School Students with Pes Planus)

  • Objective : The purpose of this study is to evaluate the effects of hip joint exercises and orthotics on RCSP, ankle's range of motion, and core muscle strength of middle school students with pes planus. Method : Out of the original pool of 200 students, 60 students with pes planus (RCSP < -2) were selected for the study. The selected 60 students were then divided into four groups. The first group was a combined orthotics and exercise group (12 students), the second was the orthotics-only group (9 students), the third was the exercise-only group (8 students), and the last was the control group (10 students). Exercise groups worked out twice a week for 60 minutes per session over 8 weeks. The independent variables were corrective hip joint exercises and orthotics. The dependant variables consisted of kinematic and kinetic variables. The kinematic variables were RCSP, and ankle's range of motion (dorsiflexion and plantarflexion). The kinetic variables were muscles forces that consist in core muscle strength, which are hip joint adduction, abduction, and flexion muscles forces. Statistical analysis was performed via SPSS 18.0 with multivariate analysis of covariance (MANCOVA) and a paired t-test was used. Results : The left foot was more responsive to the treatments, both exercise and orthotics, than the right foot. RCSP improved significantly in the left foot for the first and third groups. Only the first group significantly improved hip joint adduction, abduction, and flexion muscles' strengths. As for the ankle's range of motion of the left foot, plantarflexion showed improvement when treated with exercise, orthotics, or both. Conclusion : This study found that exercise is more effective in correcting RCSP and foot orthotics is more effective in reinforcing core muscle strength. Future studies should expand on these results to examine the relationship between the ankle, hip, and pelvis.

골격성 III급 부정교합자의 체질량지수에 따른 술후 연조직 변화 (THE THICKNESS OF SOFT-TISSUE BASED ON BODY MASS INDEX AND POSTOPERATIVE CHANGE IN PROGNATHIC PATIENTS)

  • This study has been carried out in order to measure the thickness of soft-tissue on lateral cephalographs based on body mass index(BMI) and the change in soft-tissue thickness after surgical correction of mandibular protrusion. The control material in cephalometric study comprised students at The Dental College, 38 persons, aged 21~24 years and the patient material comprised 20 women and 12men, aged 19~28 years with mandibular protrusion.The thickness of the soft-tissue based on BMI in control and study groups, the comparison between them, immediate postoperative change in the thickness, 6 months after surgery, ratio of soft-tissue response and correlation was established through various statistical methods. The result were as follows : 1. The groups based on BMI showed significant differences each other as regards the linear measurements. The thickest soft-tissue was measured 13.6mm, 15.47mm, 16.76mm at Ss, the thinnest at G' 6.0mm, 6.7mm, 7.26mm respectively. 2. The differences between control and experimental groups based on BMI showed to be significant. There were no differences at G'. The soft-tissue in prognathic patients was thicker at Ss, Ls and thinner at Li, Ls, Pg', Gn', Me'. Differential gap was greater in overweight groups. 3. The immediate soft-tissue change after surgery showed the increase at Li, Ls, Pg', Gn', Me' except G', Ls in all groups. 4. The postoperative soft-tissue change 6 months after surgery was similar with immediate change. The soft-tissue shows the increase in the thickness at Li, Pg', Gn', Me' and the greatest difference occurred at Li, 1.1mm, 0.98mm, 1.2mm respectively. 5. The patients with lower BMI index showed higher soft-tissue response to bony movement at Pg'. The immediate response ratio was 91%, 87%, 81% in A,B,C groups respectively, the response 6 months after surgery showed 96%, 91%, 84%.
