  • Effect of food on the absorption characteristics of oral rifampicin was studied in the fasted rats. Rifampicin dissolved in a new cosolvent was also injected to the rats intravenously, and the pharmacokinetic analysis was performed to explain the effect of food on the gastrointestinal absorption of rifampicin. Rifampicin was absorbed rapidly and completely in the fasting state. Food had a profound effect on the gastrointestinal absorption of rifampicin, i. e., bioavailability and the extent of absorption were decreased to less than one-third of the fasting state in the postprandial state. Food seemed to imhibit the absorption and reabsorption of rifampicin in the gastrointestinal tract, but not the absorption rate constant. Hepatobiliary excretion seemed to be the major route of elimination, since the renal clearance accounted for only 8 % of the systemic clearance. Nevertheless, first-pass effect was negligibly small and most of rifampicin absorbed could reach systemic circulation. Serum concentration change of oral rifampicin on multiple dosing differed markedly in the fasting and postprandial state, which suggested the need of careful adjustment of dosage regimen in both states.

  • The concentrations of metabolites of low molecular weights (90 to 310 amu) present in rat urine were determined by field ionization mass spectrometry. Three groups of rats were examined; intact controls, sham-operated rats and rats with selective lesions in their hypothalamus. The latter lesions are shown to induce characteristic aberrations in the metabolic profile, demonstrable five weeks after treatment, which are distinct from those induced by a sham operation.

  • Coumarin and its derivatives occur widely in nature. Many attempts were made for synthesis of various coumarin derivatives because of their interesting biological activities. In this study, solid phase synthetic approach of 3-(4-hydroxyphenyl)coumarin was achieved for combinatorial synthesis of substituted 3-phenylcoumarin analogues. Starting from 4-hydroxyphenylacetic acid methyl ester, release of 3-(4-hydroxypnehyl)coumarin from polymer support was accom-plished.

  • Distribution and binding properties of sodium salicylate the human red blood cells were studied under various experimental conditions. The effect of tonicity and hemolysis on the steady state level of the drug within the human red blood cells were accounted for in this study. When the washed cells were suspended in normal saline solution, the drug was so rapidly permeated into red cells. Since the pH of the system forces nearly complete ionization of the drug, ionic diffusion through aqueous pores is thought to be the mode of salicylate transport. Human red cell binding capacity and association constant for salicylate were estimated. This work supports the view that the red cells act asan important reservior of salicylate.

  • A novel quinone derivative, Griseusin C (1), along with a known quinone, Naphthoquinone C (2), was isolated from the lyophilized culture broth of the marine-derived fungus Penicillium sp. The structures were elucidated on the basis of extensive 1D-and 2D-NMR, as well as HRESIMS, spectroscopic analysis. The relative stereochemistries of the compounds were assessed by NOESY analysis.

  • This study aims for the above mentioned. After all, through the analysis of Electronic Question/Answering Function to understand a user's demand under online circumstances, groping for the method to provide an appropriate Archival Information Service is the most important thing. For this, in this study, it researched the users interviews and the research related to users as a precedence study, and the studies having examined the state of demanding information by users through analyzing the e-mail actually. Additionally, by looking over the study of Library and Information Science that is activated in a field of Electronic Question/Answering Function rather than Archival Science, as a matter of fact, the study has come up with the standard for analyzing Electronic Question/Answering Function. And based on the precedence study, the instances for the National Archives from USA, England, Australia and Canada were analyzed, and the chance of activating Archival Information Service were tried to grope for in the study. This study might be one of methodologies in examining the users study that is not activated yet in Archival Science. Therefore, the users study can be carried out in various methods as well as Electronic Archives/Answering Service. This study might be the important information in providing far better Archival Information Services. It is desirable that based on this opportunity, the study related to the various users by examining not only Electronic Archives/Answering Function but also Question/Answering of the users and the Archivists in the filed to the larger extend will be activated for Archival Science.

  • The purpose of production status report is figuring out the amount of records produced by departments and record centers and establishing plans for transfer and collect of archives. These are the main functions of production status report clarified by Public Records Management Act. Production status report is introduced as the means to control the record management in public institutions which lack the understanding of the record production and management. Up to now, public institutions carry out production status report. However, it only has been done as a formal procedure and records collected unsurely transfer to Archives. The implementation of production status report does not accord with the original purpose. In addition, there are different views about the appropriateness of production status report. Record managers in the field, the researchers who made efforts to state production status report in the law and the archives did not reached the agreement of opinions yet. The objective of this study is not to judge whether production status report is of importance or not. Although its significance is controversial, it's one of the most important record management tasks and it stands the position as the distinct method in Korea. Nonetheless, the issue that production status report lacks efficiency in the field due to the lack of support of forms and systems brings up continuously. Thus, I evaluated current functions of production status report and proposed future improvements so that it accomplishes its original intent and support users in the field.

  • The focus of this paper lies on the fact that the 'management' and 'utilization' of audiovisual archives are still not specialized in both the public and the private sectors. The use of online video platforms including 'YouTube' has became common. Accordingly the production and collection of high-definition and high-capacity audiovisual archives has been rapidly increasing. However, it also emphasizes that there are no references or principles in the current Public Records Act and its enforcement rules, public standards, and guidelines. This paper ultimately examines the provisions that are related to audiovisual archives of the current Public Records Act, which needed to be revised and enacted due to the lack of an audiovisual archives management manual of national institutions, public broadcasters, and organizations can refer to. In addition, this study tries to find out what kind of systems and guidelines are used in audiovisual archives management. This paper examines the current state of standardization of audiovisual records of the National Archives. It also analyses the systems and the guidelines methodically for efficient audiovisual record management in the public records management sector. It suggests the new direction of relevant public standards and guidelines through this research. Futhermore, it measures to activate the audiovisual management policy-making functions of the National Archives. The necessity of establishing a Public Audiovisual Archives as an organization was also reviewed in this paper. The Public Audiovisual Archives will collect Public Audio and Videos systematically and comprehensively through the legal deposit system. And it will be operated by the management and the utilization system so that it can be used for public as a collective memory. Finally, it will takes a charge of a professional role in audiovisual record management field, such as technology standardization to safeguard and protect the copyrights through this process.

  • The effect of clover saponin on the phase transition of liposomal lipid bilayers of dimyristoyl phosphatidylcholine was investigated with differential scanning calorimetry. The thermograms of the liposomal bilayers incorporated with the clover saponin were obtained, and the enthalpy changes and the sizes of cooperative unit of the transition were calculated. The results showed that incorporation of the clover saponin into the liposomal bilayers effectively reduced the transition temperature at which the transition from solid state to liquid-crystalline state occurs, and broadened the thermogram peaks. It also reduced the size of cooperative unit of the transition. These results indicate that the clover saponin might have significant effect on the fluidity of biological membranes.
