This study was designed and carried out to identify the methodologies of the staff evaluation used by the headnurses and their perception on the purpose of the evaluations, and to measure the degree and type of perceived purpose and the degree of implementation of staff evaluation principles into preactice. A hundred and eleven from four general hospitals with 600 beds and over were conveniently sampled. Data were gathered from August 20, through September 10, 1994 ; demographic data of respondents and 'methodologies used for staff evaluation' by questionaires, level of 'perceived purposes of staff evaluation' and level of implementation of the 'principles of staff evaluation into practice' by Likert-type rating scales developed by the researcher. Raw and percentile scores and means were calculated and data were processed further by t-tests and ANOVA. Results are as follows ; 1. Traditional methodlogies : checklists(90.1%) and ranking methods(45.9%) revealed to be the two mostly prefered and used methods. 2. Of the 20 item-descriptions of the 'purpose of staff evaluation': 10 'control, evaluative' and 10 'non-control, developmental' the first(mean=3.19) to the ninth(mean=2.74) in rank order revealed to be the 'control, evaluative purpose', while the tenth in rank order revealed to be the first among the 'non-control, evaluative' item(mean-1.57). 3. Level of purpose of staff evaluation perceived as 'control ; evaluative'(mean=43.76, S.D.=5.01) revealed to be significantly(t=-3.86, p<.05) highter than 'non-control ; developmental'(mean=40.65, S.D.=3.41). 4. Level of implementation of 'staff evaluation principle into practice' revealed to be moderately high(mean=2.40).
This study was carried out to grasp visiting nurses' perception of the service referral between health and welfare with a view to providing the basic data for the visiting nursing activities. A questionnaire survey was conducted on public health nurses in 25 health centers in Seoul from Feb. 12, 2001 to Mar. 15, 2001. A total of 151 questionnaires were collected and they were analysed by use of SPSS/WIN 7.5. The results of the survey are as follows. 1. In general, visiting nurses were burdened with heavy workloads. On average, a visiting nurse covered 5 ‘dong's(the smallest administrative unit), 564 households, and 1223 persons. They spent almost a quarter of their working hours moving from home to home and recording the charts after home visiting. They took 30-60 minutes to provide their services when visiting homes. As for the frequency of home visiting, they were following the instructions recommended by the government. However, their services were still wasteful, not skill-oriented, in that they spent more time assessing ‘subjects’ rather than providing their ‘services’ for them. 2. As for the degree of service performance, visiting nurses scored average 2.94 and 2.28 on the four-point scale in the area of health and welfare respectively. The Pearson coefficient between the two variables was high(.56). According as the health services increased, the welfare services increased as well, which showed that the service referral between the two areas should be essential. 3. ‘The necessity of cooperation with social welfare staff’ scored average 4.49, and ‘the degree of cooperation with social welfare staff’ scored average 3.16 on the five-point scale; There was a statistically significant difference (average 1.33) between the two variables. Such a big difference between perception and practice results from the lack of political support that connects the two service areas comprehensively. Therefore it is recommendable to establish a so-called ‘Visiting Nursing Center’ in the ‘dong’ office in order to provide integrated services of health and welfare at once in cooperation with social welfare staff. That's the way to meet the public needs directly and it's more efficient as well in terms of cost-saving.

This study aims to analyze the gap between university students' cognitions and expectations on users' cognitions about dimensions of library staff service quality and the reason of gap. The results showed that the overal service didn't reach the users' minimum expectation. Among the every item of service quality, the greatest expectation service was the quick delivery of non home library materials and staff's politeness. The most great was in-depth subject services and friendly encounter. The staff service quality gave the library satisfaction; in-depth subject services, exact understanding of user needs and politeness. The great gaps were caused to the lack of willingness to answer question, the lack of communication, and the lack of user care etc.
Psychophysical approaches to the room acoustics have been made in number of researches. The present study is looking at whether the listener's perception of frequency change in rooms are dependent on the acoustics of a listening environment. P(C)s for frequency change in short tones were measured in different listening conditions. Two experiments were carried out to investigate the influence of room acoustics on the listener's perception of frequency change, and its implication for evaluating the acoustics of listening environments were examined and discussed. It was found that the temporal and spectral contents of reflections from room surfaces might be an important factor which influenced the listener's perception of frequency change in a reverberant sound field. This implicates that psychophysical approach by measuring listener's frequency change perception might be an useful tool for evaluating room acoustics. However, cares should be taken, since some individual differences were found to exist with respect to the direction of frequency change.
Objectives: This study was performed to emphasize improvement of the perception of dental hygienists' environmental working conditions by analyzing various factors. Methods: Two hundred ninety-eight female dental hygienists working at 35 medical institutions in Daegu City and Gyeongsangbuk-do Province participated. A self-recording type survey was done in October 2016. Results: Factors influencing the perception of infection control was length of career. Dental hygienists with more experience have a higher level of perception. Factors influencing the perception of working posture was the number of patients per day and career level. Dental hygienists seeing 50 or fewer patients per day and senior staff showed higher levels of this perception. Factors influencing the perception of noise in the working area were length of career and lunchtime break. The perception level was high in the group with longer careers and dental hygienists who rest at lunch time. Factors influencing chemical exposure during work were the number of patients per day and the type of institute. Dental hygienists working in dental clinics or dealing with more patients had lower levels of perception. Conclusions: The sociodemographic and working characteristics of dental hygienists influence the perception of dental hygienists' environmental working conditions.
Multicultural Family Support Centers (MFSC) have provided five program areas including family, gender equality, human rights, social integration, and counseling since 2015. It is important to examine the MFSC staff's perceptions of the family programs and program needs for multicultural families to improve the effectiveness of these programs. In this study, we aim to explore the staff's perceptions of the family programs and to assess multicultural family program needs based on the family life cycle. A total of 130 MFSC staff were recruited through 128 MFSCs across Korea. Descriptive statistics were conducted for data analysis. Our findings revealed that MFSC staff have increasingly recognized that their target audiences are not only marriage immigrants and their families but also foreign workers' families and families from North Korea. In addition, the MFSC staff identified the importance of family programs instead of only programs for individual family members and multicultural families' different program needs based on their family life cycle. Contrary to the positive perception of the family programs, they described challenges of the family programs including a shortage of funds, difficulty recruiting family member combinations (e.g., couples, parent-child) for family programs, a lack of a program manual, and a heavy workload. This study provides insights into the family programs including their development and delivery.
There are currently many research papers on the knowledge, perceptions and actions of radiation-related staff, but hardly any papers on radiation major students in college who are to be staff members of radiation related jobs in the future. It is of course important to understand the perceptions of staff working on the lines and change their knowledge and perceptions, but in the long term it seems more efficient to understand those who are in the stage of being educated to be staff members-their knowledge and perception of radiation so that ultimately they can attain the right kind of understanding. Therefore the aim of this study is to grasp the pre-radiation staff's basic concept of radiation and space dose, their understanding of radiation safety based on this, and whether there is a change in their perception before and after the space dose measurement experiment; in the end this is to see if the space dose measurement experiment is effective in changing perception on radiation safety. This study took as its subject 64 students majoring radiation in college, I.e. pre-radiation staff members, and gauged their basic conceptualization of radiation, understanding of space dose, and understanding of radiation safety; in the X-ray room within the department the students were asked to measure space dose for themselves, so as to see whether there was a change in their understanding of radiation safety before and after the experiment, according to their understanding of the basic concept of radiation and of space dose. As a result of the space dose measurement experiment, students' increased basic knowledge of concept of radiation and understanding of the dangers of space dose were noteworthy, and accordingly their understanding of radiation safety became stricter and more conservative. In spite of this, their work ethic stayed in the lead of their understanding of radiation safety; this implies the need of a more departmentalized safety education program. Therefore instead of safety education that simply uses visual-audial material in a kind of lecture, I suggest here that there be a more experiential safety education program that enables learners to try out space dose measurement experiments for themselves, a work ethic education that aims for a conventional point of view towards radiation safety as well as a stern attitude.
The purpose of this study was to investigate the perception of designating the environmental education center for researcher, teacher, professor, NGOs. The questionnaire was composed of the introduction of designation, human resources, function, operation, facilities and 131 participated in this survey. According to the results of the study, First, environmental education center is divided into four types(national, municipal A, municipal B, private environmental education center). Second, according to the type, It is necessary to put the difference in each center. Third, the majors and career about environmental education are needed for staff.
With the dynamically changing environment of society, managing change is the vital element of organizations's survival and growth. Health care organizations have expended enormous resources to restructure patient care delivery. Despite the growing literature describing these organizational innovations, there is a paucity of credible data that reflects systematic measurement and evaluation of such changes. This study examined the nurses' psychological response toward the work process redesign, newly introduced by the nursing department in a acute care hospital. The aim of the study was to figure out how nurses's general perception of change and perceived attributes of change affected their acceptance of change during the organizational transition. This was descriptive- correlational. The sample for the study included 50 head nurses and 135 staff nurses. Data was analyzed using SPSS PC+, version 10.0. The major findings of the study were as follows: First, the mean score of the perception of change was 71.2(SD=13.8) with the range of 0-100, which means nurses generally perceived change positively. There were significant differences in perception of change by gender and education level. Head nurses perceived change more positively than staff nurses. The higher education level showed the more positive view of change. Second, among the perceived attributes of change, trialability had the highest mean score, which means nurses perceived the change more positively if it is testable on a limited basis. Relative advantage was perceived the most negatively. Finally, factors influencing the acceptability of the work-process redesign were perceived comparability, complexity, relative advantage, and observability, which accounted for 43.7% of the variance in the acceptability of change. This study evaluated the preliminary effects of the nursing process for reengineering, focusing on nurses' acceptability towards change. The usefulness of this research study was to determine the factors influencing acceptance of organizational members during transitional periods of change and to suggest effective strategies for increasing adoption as well as for decreasing resistance to change.

This study compared and analyzed the levels of expectations of specialized hospitals, and the recognition of professional competency in specialized hospitals for the general public aged 20 years or older and those professionals on the hospital staffs who had more than three years of experience. The research period ran from July 2018 to May 2019. T-test and regression analysis were used for the analysis of the data. Research result; There was no difference in the level of expectations for the specialized hospitals between the general public and the hospital staffs. It was shown that the professional factor affecting subjective expectations of the specialized hospitals was a difference in the way of thinking between the general public and the hospital staff. The professional factor affecting the expected level of hospital use for the general public and hospital staffs was confidence in the doctors. However, the professional factors affecting the credibility of doctors differed between the general public and the hospital staff. The factor for the general public was excellent technical skill in the field, and the factor for the hospital staff was the specialized ability of doctor and their years of medical service. It is thought that efforts are needed to reduce the difference between the perception of hospital staff and that of the general public in order for specialized hospitals to continue to develop.
