  • This work concerns the stabilization of uninfected steady state of an ordinary differential equation system modeling the interaction of the HIV virus and the immune system of the human body. The control variable is the drug dose, which, in turn, affects the rate of infection of $CD4^{+}$ T cells by HIV virus. The feedback controller is constructed by a variant of the receding horizon control (RHC) method. Simulation results are discussed.

  • In this paper, we propose a method for evaluating the uncomfortable shaking in the video. When you shoot a video using a handheld device, such as a smartphone, most of the video contains unwanted shake. Most of these fluctuations are caused by hand tremors that occurred during shooting, and many methods for correcting them automatically have been proposed. It is necessary to evaluate the shake correction performance in order to compare the proposed shake correction methods. However, since there is no standardized performance evaluation method, a correction performance evaluation method is proposed for each shake correction method. Therefore, it is difficult to make objective comparison of shake correction method. In this paper, we propose a method for objectively evaluating video shake. Automatically analyze the video to find out how much tremors are included in the video and how much the tremors are concentrated at a specific time. In order to measure the shaking index, we proposed jitter modeling. We applied the algorithm implemented by Optical Flow to the real video to automatically measure shaking frequency. Finally, we analyzed how the shaking indices appeared after applying three different image stabilization methods to nine sample videos.

  • Purpose : This study was somatosensory less in patients with idiopathic scoliosis somatosensory input to the lumbar stabilization exercises carried out to determine the most effective treatment method to be stable and unstable in terms of supporting the lumbar stabilization exercises the patient's torso length and postural sway by comparing the distance from a standing position and looked for differences in effect on the balance. Methods : The subjects of the study were 18 patients who showed the symptom of scoliosis. The study classified the patients into two experimental groups, one using an unstable surface and one a fixed surface, and the patients were required to do a lumbar stabilization exercise a total of 12 times for 60 minutes per session, three times a week for four weeks. The study carried out a paired comparison t-test so as to compare differences between measurement values in each experimental group before and after the exercise. Results : Superior iliac spine on the left, there was a significant reduction in the group doing the lumbar stabilization exercise on an unstable surface (p<0.05). Regarding change in sway distance to the left and right directions in the group doing the lumbar stabilization exercise on the unstable surface, there was a significant decrease in both the condition of closed eyes or open eyes (p<0.05). As for change in sway distance in forward-and-backward direction, there was a significant reduction in the condition of either closed eyes or open eyes (p<0.05). Conclusion : The lumbar stabilization exercise on an unstable surface improved the trunk posture of patients with scoliosis symmetrically, and the static balance ability in a standing posture was discovered to be improved. In the future, the lumbar stabilization exercise on an unstable surface may be used as a posture correction and balance increase exercise for patients with scoliosis.

  • In order to treat paddy soils contaminated by Pb, Cd, and As near the abandoned mine, $H_2PO_4$ was used for stabilization of Pb ($PO_4$/Pb mole ratio of 2/1). In addition, $CaCO_3$ and $FeSO_4$ were used as stabilizers for treating Cd and As (2% w/w), respectively. Leaching tests were conducted with artificial rain in the column to assess the heavy metal stabilization efficiency. The mass of heavy metals in the effluents passed through the columns were analyzed. The remaining heavy metals in the soils were also analyzed as Korean soil standard method, phytoavailability test and sequential extraction test. Lead in the effluent was not detected when $H_2PO_4$ was used as a stabilizer. This result suggests that $H_2PO_4$ is efficient for Pb stabilization. In addition results of sequential extraction scheme suggest that heavy metals are present as residual forms which is not easily extracted.

  • Purpose : The aim of this study is to compare the trunk muscle activities in trunk stabilization on the stable and unstable supporting surfaces using by sEMG. Methods : The subjects of this study include seventeen male. We measured sEMG activities of rectus abdominis and erector spine in subjects during trunk stabilization such as plank exercise, quadruped position, quadruped position with rising hand and foot on the stable and unstable surface. Results : sEMG activities in plank exercise was significantly higher in left rectus abdominis and left erector spine on unstable surface then stable surface (p<.05). sEMG activities of left rectus abdominis and left erector spine in quadruped position was significantly higher in unstable surface than stable surface (p<.05). In comparison with posture, Plank exercise showed a significant difference increase other postures (p<.05). Conclusion : sEMG activities of muscle in trunk stabilization was significantly higher in unstable surface than stable surface and plank exercise. So, we suggest that trunk stabilization on the unstable supporting surface and plank exercise were more effective method than stable surface to improve trunk muscles activities.

  • The purpose of Lumbar Stabilization is to recover the ability of regulating movement of muscular strength, which currently becomes an essential approach to the treatment for lumbago. Sling exercise is a dynamic exercise and a method of active exercise for the patients to take part in their own treatment. This research is to develop the correlation between Lumbar Stabilization and muscular strength as well as Sling exercise. The subjects of this experiment are 12 healthy and normal male and female lasting for 4 weeks. EMG and Postural Med were used as measuring apparatuses. After experiment of 4 weeks exercises, there was not a meaningful result in the measured result of EMG(P>0.05), But there was a significant increase in the result of Postural Med after the experiment(P<0.05). According to this result, we can find out that there is a significant correlation between Sling exercise and muscular strength as well as Lumbar Stabilization. The increase in the lumbar region augments Lumbar Stabilization and the reaction speed of muscle power. So it recovers the stabilization of spine. This Sling exercise program is efficient for the treatment and prevention of back pain.

  • This paper proposes a robust digital video stabilization algorithm to extract and track an object, which uses a phase correlation-based motion correction. The proposed video stabilization algorithm consists of background stabilization based on motion estimation and extraction of a moving object. The motion vectors can be estimated by calculating the phase correlation of a series of frames in the eight sub-images, which are located in the corner of the video. The global motion vector can be estimated and the image can be compensated by using the multiple local motions of sub-images. Through the calculations of the phase correlation, the motion of the background can be subtracted from the former frame and the compensated frame, which share the same background. The moving objects in the video can also be extracted. In this paper, calculating the phase correlation to track the robust motion vectors results in the compensation of vibrations, such as movement, rotation, expansion and the downsize of videos from all directions of the sub-images. Experimental results show that the proposed digital image stabilization algorithm can provide continuously stabilized videos and tracking object movements.

  • The attitude dynamics of KITSAT-1 are modeled including the gravity gradient stabilization method. We define the operation scenario during the initial attitude stabilization period by means of a magnetorquering control algorithm. The required constraints for the gravity gradient boom deployment are also examined. Attitude dynamics model and control laws are verified by analyzing in-orbit attitude sensor telemetry data.

  • This paper deals with asymptotic stabilization problems for linear systems with time-varying input disturbances. In order to eliminate the influence of a disturbance on the system, a disturbance observer is designed and the time-varying disturbance can be rejected using its estimated value. Since the disturbance observer is kind of low-pass filter, it has inevitably estimation errors. To eliminate the inflences on the performance due to these errors, the additional control is designed based on these estimation errors using a well-known min-max control method. It is shown that the asymptotic stability of the closed-loop system is guaranteed. In general, the min-max control method requires the switching of control inputs and the switching magnitude of the control input is determined by the disturbance estimation error bounds. As the error bounds can be made arbitrarily small by choosing the high gain for the disturbance observer, the control method suggested in this paper can reduce the chattering phenomena as small as possible. Therefore, it has superior performance to the existing ones.
