  • Considering the rapid growth of mobile industry and the emerging application marketing, this study focused on fashion applications, which had not drawn much academic attention before, and analysed relevant content composition, information-seeking benefits based on users' lifestyles and resulting differences in satisfaction and loyalty. In short, fashion applications were divided into fashion and non-fashion brand apps. Brand apps were subdivided into luxury, women's wear, men's wear, casual wear, sportswear, accessories and the like. Non-brand apps included commerce, magazine, information, style tip, SNS and wardrobe manager types. As for users' lifestyle-based information search, the higher the tendency to search information on the internet and to favour reasonable consumption, the more basic information on products and brands they sought, whereas the higher the tendency to look for high-profile brands and to favour global culture, the more additional information like images or entertainments they sought. To sum up, given that studies on fashion-specific applications were rare, the present study reviewed and categorized current fashion applications, and suggested theoretical and practical groundwork for developing content based on target consumers' lifestyle and for planning fashion applications in practice.

국내 20대 여성의 애슬레저 웨어(Athleisure wear) 착용실태 조사 (A Study on the Wearing Condition of Athleisure Wear of Korean Women in Their 20's)

  • This study investigates the wearing behavior and athleisure wear design preferences of women in their twenties as related to the design development of athleisure wear. A questionnaire survey was conducted on 185 women in their 20s. The survey was conducted from September to October 2016. Questionnaire items consisted of respondents' general items, athleisure wear and preference related items, and athleisure wear purchase related items. We collected 185 questionnaires from participants; subsequently, 169 were used as analytical data (except for incomplete questionnaires). The results of the study are as follows. Fit and wear comfort was the most important factor in the selection of athleisure wear. As a result of investigating the popularity of the athletic wear brand, the preference for the total sportswear brand was higher than the professional athletic wear brand. When the preferred colors were examined, the achromatic colors were ranked higher than chromatic colors. An examination of the preferred designs according to items indicated that the bra top preferred the 'U' shaped front plate and the 'Y' base basic type; in addition, T-shirts with the round neckline and the 1/4 length sleeves were preferred as tops. Leggings preferred long length type. It is necessary to develop a brand that matches the preference of the twenties' consumers by adjusting the aged target that can avoid the overheated competition and develop a niche market.

  • In this paper, we examined the trend information collected by apparel industries to develop fashionable products. We also investigated the product development process of a swimwear industry, ELLE Swimwear, through in-depth interviews. The results are as follows; 1. The apparel industries were collecting information about a fashion trend, international exhibitions and fairs, world collections, and a market trend to develop fashionable products. 2. As the swimwear consumers are spreaded in all ages, the launching of more specialized swimwear brand with ages is required. 3. These days, swimwear is not only an item of sportswear but also being a fashionable product on street. Therefore, the industries should try to develop a various assortment of swimwear capable of coordinating with multi-mix instead of developing a separate item. 4. To design and produce swimwear satisfying functional, sensual and cultural performance, the development of new materials and patterns are required. 5. Nurturing of swimwear pattern specialists dealing with CAD is urgently required. 6. Turning of understanding about the importance of VMD and more attractive marketing strategies by a specialized team are also required.

MZ세대의 콘텐츠 콜라보레이션을 활용한 패션브랜드의 가치창출 사례연구 (A case study on value creation of fashion brands using content collaboration targeting MZ generation)

  • The fourth Industrial Revolution, known as digital transformation, has made MZ generation to be the focus of the new consumer market, brought about the use of technological platforms a new consumption method. Currently, as various types of content collaboration are emerging that specifically targeting at the MZ generation. Content collaboration are considered an integration of content to create new values through co-existence and co-prosperity. This study identified the characteristics of collaboration of fashion brands from 2018 using literature and online news articles, and identified and classified through case studies of it determined movie content, game and virtual characters. By this research, it shown that collaboration with movie contents have increased the collaborative synergy by using the story in global media content. Collaboration with mobile games was generally used by young casual and sportswear brands. These brands which utilized characters from mobile games popular with to attract more teen consumers and strengthen brand awareness by adding values of high-technology and scarcity to the familiar images. In addition, collaboration with virtual characters has expanded value of the collaborative approach on expanding the range of advanced digital technology, from a promotional strategy during the distribution process through to the use of virtual models. As such, collaboration using the various types of content has developed beyond simple integration of identities among various areas, integrated products or brands that as a new value.

원산지효과, 상표자산 및 상표충성 간의 관계에 관한 연구: 미국, 중국, 한국의 비교분석 (The Relationship among Country of Origin, Brand Equity and Brand Loyalty: Comparison among USA, China and Korea)

  • The marketing environment has become competitive to an extent that requires firms to target their products at markets that span national boundaries. However, competitive clout cannot be achieved in global consumer markets unless firms thoroughly understand and adequately respond to the core values and needs of those consumers. Brand equity is one of the most important assets to a company. Especially in sportswear markets, brand equity is the crucial value added to a product by its brand name. Factors such as country of origin also influence customer's attitude towards brand equity. Therefore, this paper discusses the relationship between country of origin effect and brand equity, and how they influence consumers' loyalty for respective brands. This paper focused on the sports shoes market, because it is an increasing area of opportunity for world manufacturers. The objectives of this study were the following. (1) Test the effect of country of origin on brand equity. (2) Test how brand equity influences consumers' brand loyalty. (3) Find whether there are differences in the effects of country of origin and brand equity among the three countries. (4) Find whether there are differences in the effects of country of origin and brand equity among the different lifestyles. Based on the review of literature results, the hypotheses are concluded as the following: H1-a: Country image has positive influence on country of origin. H1-b: Product perception has positive influence on country of origin. H2-a: Perceived quality has positive effect on brand equity. H2-b: Perceived price has positive effect on brand equity. H3: Country of origin has positive effect on brand equity. H4: Brand equity has a positive impact on brand loyalty. Research model was constructed (see Fig. 1). After data analysis, the following results were concluded: sports shoes purchase behavior showed significant differences among Korean, Chinese, and American consumers for favorite brand, purchased brand, purchased place, information usage, and favorite sports games. The results of this study also extend the research of the relationship among country of origin, brand equity and brand loyalty to the sports shoes market. Brand equity was proven to have a significant relationship with brand loyalty for all countries. The factors which can influence brand equity are different for different countries. The third finding of this paper is that we identified different three lifestyles, adventurer, follower, and laggard, for Korean, Chinese and American consumers. Without the nationality boundary, seeing the emergence of a new group of consumers who have similar preferences and buy similar brands is more important. All of the consumers consider brand equity to keep their brand loyalty. Perceived price is the only factor which can influence brand equity for adventurers; brand is more important for them. The laggards were not influenced by any factor. All of the factors expect perceived price are important for the followers. Marketing managers should consider brand equity when introducing their brand into a new market. Also localization is the basic strategy that all the sports shoes companies should understand. But as a global brand, understanding the same characteristics for each country is more important to build global strategy.

실버 소비자의 연령대에 따른 등산복 구매 및 만족도 (Climbing Sportswear Purchase and Satisfaction according to Silver Consumer Age)

  • 현재 주목받고 있는 실버 소비자의 등산복 구매 실태와 만족도를 알아보고 노인 연령대에 따른 차이를 분석하였다. 본 연구 대상의 표집은 북한산에서 등산을 하고 계시는 노인 100에 대하여 65세를 기준으로 뉴실버와 실버 소비자로 노인소비자를 구분하였다. 자가응답과 대필방식을 병행하여 설문지를 작성하였으며 수집된 데이터는 SPSS 12.0을 이용하여 t Test와 카이검증을 통하여 분석하였다. 뉴실버 소비자들은 실버소비자보다 스포츠웨어를 자주 구입하였으며 구매비용도 더 많은 것으로 나타났다. 브랜드 인지도도 높았으며 구매장소는 스포츠웨어 전문매장을 선호하였다. 구매기준과 불만족 요인도 연령대에 따라 차이가 있었다. 즉 뉴실버 소비자에게는 등산복의 품질, 디자인/색에 대한 불만족이 높은 반면에, 실버 소비자에게는 품질, 착용감/쾌적감이 불만족이 높았다.

전략적 고객 경험 모듈을 이용한 패션 라이프 스타일에 따른 고객 경험 인식 차이 (Difference in Perception of Customer Experience Based on Fashion Lifestyle Using Strategic Experiential Modules)

  • The purpose of this study is to classify customer experience components using Bernd H. Schmitt's Strategic Experiential Modules and explore the relevance between fashion lifestyle and customer experience components. A survey was conducted on 400 adults between the ages of 20s to 50s who had experience in sportswear stores. The results obtained are as follows. First, according to fashion lifestyle, the respondents were divided into an individuality-valued pragmatic group, a trend-oriented brand-seeking group, a fashion-interested group, and a conservative pragmatic group. Second, customer experience components were divided into sensory experience, emotional experience, cognitive experience, behavioral experience, and relational experience. Third, on analyzing the relationship between customer experience and fashion lifestyle, it was found that a fashion-interested group has the highest value in all experiences; therefore, it can be considered that the higher the interest in fashion, the more important is the customer experience. On the other hand, the conservative pragmatic group represented generally smaller values than the other three groups in all customer experiences. Fourth, there were significant differences in the customer experience components that were considered to be important depending on the fashion lifestyle type. An individuality-valued pragmatic group valued cognitive experiences, a fashion-interested group valued all experiences, and a conservative pragmatic group showed low scores in all customer experiences. The results of this study will allow companies to build more customer-friendly experiences and enable consumers to engage in satisfactory purchasing activities through better customer experiences.

패션 브랜드 지점 조사를 통한 구미시 상권 구조 및 패션 동향 분석 (Analysis of the Organization of Trading Area and Fashion Trend in Gumi based on the Observation of Fashion Brand Stores)

  • The purpose of this study is to analyze the organization of trading area and fashion trend in Gumi based on the observation of fashion brand stores which had been undertaken on a regular basis from July 2001 through July 2004. Gumi has over 1,000 stores located in main trading streets, about $25\%$ of which was fashion retail stores. In July 2004, $64.6\%$ of them was selling branded products, and the number of unisex casual wear stores was the greatest, followed by women's casual wear stores, sportswear stores, and children's wear stores. On the main streets of Gumi, casual attires as well as casual wear stores can be easily observed because the population of eumi is young compared to that of other regions. Among casual wear brands, especially sensory, or trendy casual wear brands such like BNX, A6, Coax, Koolhaas, EXR, and Smex came into Gumi area in large numbers since fall of 2002. From the observation data, dynamic and systemic effects of economic state, population, seasonal elements, product characteristics, etc. on the organizations of trading area were identified.

청소년용 교복 및 패션제품 개발을 위한 학부모 및 청소년 패션 태도 조사 연구 (A Study on the Fashion Attitudes of Adolescents and the Parents of Adolescents : Developing School Uniforms and Fashion Items)

  • The purpose of this study is to analyze the differences in fashion attitudes between adolescents and the parents of adolescents. 562 adolescents and 163 parents' responses in South Korea are used for the analysis. Survey questionnaires specifically designed for the adolescents and parents are used to compare the differences of the two populations. The results suggest that adolescents and parents in South Korea have different evaluation values for adolescents' fashion goods and school uniforms. The Adolescents placed a premium on 'Comfort' and 'Design' for fashion goods and school uniforms. However, the parents placed a premium on 'Practicality' and 'Price' values for fashion goods and school uniforms. The school uniform items which were most accepted in Korean middle and high schools need the change in composition of items for four seasons. In purchasing behavior, the adolescents answered that they have more than one item of preferred fashion brand. The Korean adolescents prefer famous sportswear brand like Nike, Adidas and etc. The fashion market for adolescents in Korea is closely related with the parents in shopping behaviors. The comparison of the fashion attitude between parents and their children is more practical method for developing the adolescents' fashion items and young fashion market.

한국 청소년의 거리패션 분석 연구 -1990년대 후반을 중심으로- (A Study on Street Fashion of Korean Teenager -Since the Latter Half of the `90s-)

  • The purpose of this study is focused on revealing teenager characteristics and mass culture in the end of the 20th century, and researching the general traits of teenager costume in the latter half of the \`90s and the typical style based on the analysis of the teenager culture. The result of this study are following as; The general traits of teenager costume are classified with sports-orientation, brand-orientation, and foreign street fashion-orientation. Typical styles are classified with sportive look, hiphop look, and funny look. Sportive look became the core of the street fashion developed with the street sports in the city, and presented the practical use with the fashionability mixing sportswear such as hightech snickers, sports character wear and items. Hiphop look, the genderless fashion, expresses teenager\`s free life style and the diversiied sensibility and deconstructs the border of gender, racism. Funny look accepts the burden of the millenium as a humor and presents katharsis by creating unexpected style. The contemporary costume of teenager deconstructs the fixed idea about mix and match, good taste and bad taste, gender, coordination suited with T.P.O and intends ‘open costume’ for 21st century.
