  • This paper presents the iterative algorithm for obtaining the ME PSE(Maximum Entropy Power Spectral Estimation) of 2-dimensional signals. This problem involves a correction matching power spectral estimate that can be represented as the reciprocal of the spectral of 2-dimensional signals. This requires two matrix inversion every iterations. Thus, we compensate the matrix to be constantly positive definite with relaxational parameters. Using Row/Column decomposition Discrete Fourier Transform, we can decrease a calculation quantity. Using Lincoln data and white noise, this paper examines ME PSE algorithms. Finally, the results output at the graphic display device. The 2-dimensional data have the 3-dimensional axis components, and, this paper develops 3-dimensional graphic output algorithms using 2-dimensional DGL(Device Independent Graphic Library) which is prepared for HP-1000 F-series computer.

  • 원전 구조물의 내진해석에서 사용하는 시간이력 함수는 적절한 하중을 보장하기 위하여 설계응답스펙트럼에 부합할 뿐만 아니라 최소 PSD함수 이상의 PSD함수를 갖도록 함으로서 각각의 진동수에서 일정 크기 이상의 에너지를 갖고 있어야 한다. 도로교 구조물에서도 구조물의 대형화와 정교화로 인한 구조물의 공공 기능의 안전성이 더욱 강조되어, 설계 목적의 PSD함수의 규정이 필요하지만 적절한 절차가 개발이 되지 않아 현실적으로 적용하기 어려운 실정이다. 본 연구에서는 다수의 인공지진을 이용하여 표준 PSD함수를 계산하는 절차를 제시하고 현재의 도로교 내진설계 스펙트럼에 부합하는 표준 PSD 함수를 제안하였다.

Resource allocation for Millimeter Wave mMIMO-NOMA System with IRS

  • In order to improve the coverage and achieve massive spectrum access, non-orthogonal multiple access (NOMA) technology is applied in millimeter wave massive multiple-input multiple-output (mMIMO) communication network. However, the power assumption of active sensors greatly limits its wide applications. Recently, Intelligent Reconfigurable Surface (IRS) technology has received wide attention due to its ability to reduce power consumption and achieve passive transmission. In this paper, spectral efficiency maximum problem in the millimeter wave mMIMO-NOMA system with IRS is considered. The sparse RF chain antenna structure is designed at the base station based on continuous phase modulation. Furthermore, a joint optimization problem for power allocation, power splitting, analog precoding and IRS reconfigurable matrices are constructed, which aim to achieve the maximum spectral efficiency of the system under the constraints of user's quality of service, minimum energy harvesting and total transmit power. A three-stage iterative algorithm is proposed to solve the above mentioned non-convex optimization problems. We obtain the local optimal solution by fixing some optimization parameters firstly, then introduce the relaxation variables to realize the global optimal solution. Simulation results show that the spectral efficiency of the proposed scheme is superior compared to the conventional system with phase shifter modulation. It is also demonstrated that IRS can effectively assist mmWave communication and improve the system spectral efficiency.

  • 최대 엔트로피 스펙트럼 분석 (Maximum entropy spectral analysis)에 관한 Burg알고리즘 (algorithm)의 계산효율과 안정성에 대하여 검토하였다. Burg의 방법은 Yule-Walker의 방법보다 계산효율이 낮을 뿐만 아니라 그의 수학적 불합리성으로 인하여 간혹 불안전할 때가 있다. 이러한 불합리성을 인공 시계열의 해석을 통하여 증명한 후 보다 안정하고 효과적인 방법을 소개하였다. 또한 파워 스펙트럼밀도 (Power spectral density)의 계산에서 Goertzel알고리즘을 이용하는 효율적인 방법도 소개하였다.

  • In order to understand changes of water temperature for thermal discharge of Hadong power plant in Gwangyang and Jinju Bay, it was analyzed for temperature data of representative season by MEM(Maximum entropy method) that is one of the spectral analysises. And due to understand effect of thermal discharge at each point, analyzed spectral data showed reactive energy rate of reference point by calculating energy from 24 time period to height frequency zone. As a result of spectral analysis, it showed that there were 9 points which are largely effected, 7 points which will be estimated, 6 points which is difficult to estimate, 14 points which rarely effected by thermal discharge.

  • 시공간적으로 불규칙하게 작용하는 변동 풍속 난류의 자료는 풍공학적으로 돌풍계수 평균풍속 변동 풍하중등의 계산에서 요구되지만, 내풍 및 사용성에 따른 동적응답의 평가에서는 변동 풍속의 파워 스펙트럴 밀도함수가 요구된다. 본 논문에서는 1987-2016.12.1일까지의 일순간최대풍속 자료를 확률과정으로 가정했고, 이 실측된 자료와 확률이론을 근거로 평균류방향 파워 스펙트럴 밀도 함수에 대한 기초적 자료를 얻고자 대표지점(6개 지점)을 선정했다. 선정된 각 지점에 대한 일순간최대풍속자료는 기상청으로부터 획득했다. 해석결과 본 논문에서 평가된 스펙트럼 모델은 저진동수 영역에서는 Solari, 고진동수 영역에서는 von Karman의 모델과 근접한 현상을 나타냈다.

Analysis of Data Spectral Regrowth from Nonlinear Amplification

  • The regrowth of OQPSK power spectral sidelobes from AM/AM and AM/PM amplifier nonlinearity is analyzed. The time-domain expression for amplifier output shows how spectral re-growth will depend on the cubic coefficient of the Taylor's series of the amplifier nonlinearity as well as input amplitude ripple. Closed form spectrum calculations show that the spectral sidelobes produced by AM/PM take the same form as those produced by AM/AM. The rate of growth of AM/PM sidelobes is, however, not as great as for AM/AM.

잡음환경에서 Teager 에너지의 전력 스펙트럼 편차에 기반한 음성 검출 알고리즘 (Voice Activity Detection Algorithm Based on the Power Spectral Deviation of Teager Energy in Noisy Environment)

  • 본 논문에서는 잡음환경에서 효과적인 음성을 검출하기 위한 새로운 음성검출 (VAD, voice activity detection) 알고리즘을 제안한다. 제안된 방법은 개선된 음성/비음성 검출을 위해 기존의 파워 스펙트럼 편차를 적용하는 대신 Teager 에너지 기반의 파워 스펙트럼 편차 (power spectral deviation)를 이용한다. 또한 향상된 VAD 성능을 위하여 각각의 주파수 밴드에 대한 음성부재확률 (speech absence probability)을 제안된 파워 스펙트럼 편차를 도출하는데 스무딩 (smoothing) 파라미터로 적용한다. 제안된 알고리즘은 기존의 방법과 객관적인 실험을 통해 비교 평가한 결과 다양한 배경잡음 환경에서 향상된 성능을 보였다.

Cascaded Volume Bragg Grating for Narrow Spectral Linewidth in High-power Laser Diodes

  • Narrowing the spectral linewidth and improving the wavelength stability of high-power laser diodes (HPLDs) are both in high demand for rapidly maturing industrial laser applications. In this study, we investigate the spectral behavior of a commercial HPLD bar module composed of 19 laser diodes (LDs) in a single-layered bar with a built-in volume Bragg grating (VBG) and an additional cascaded VBG. Optical loss due to the extra cascaded VBG is kept below 5% when the optical output is 5 W or more. The full width at half maximum of the Fabry-Perot peak from the cascaded VBG is reduced to about 12.4% and 29.1% at the edge (1st LD) and center (10th LD) of the HPLD bar module respectively, compared to using only a built-in VBG at an optical power of 10 W or more. In addition, fine wavelength tuning is achieved by temperature control of the extra VBG, and the obtained wavelength-tuning range amounts to about 10.6 pm/K.

  • There are many people who suffer from simulation sickness when immersing in virtual reality. In this study, we analyzed two photoplethysmogram(PPG) parameters - a second derivative parameter and power spectral density ratios - in order to relate PPG parameters with simulation sickness. 36 young, healthy subjects were participated in the experiment, and each subject was equipped with a PPG electrode during his or her immersion. Simulation sickness section was defined as a 7 - second section which starts from the point where a subject reported simulation sickness, and normal section as a same-length section where no physical stimuli was presented to him or her. We compared the PPG parameters of the simulation sickness sections with the normal sections, - d/a ratio is believed to have lower value during vasodilation and higher value during vasoconstriction, however, we could not find much difference in the parameter between normal and simulation sickness sections. We also compared 1 to 10Hz power spectral density ratios in normal sections with in simulation sickness section, and found that 6 density ratios among them have different value. Therefore, the density ratios might be utilized as parameters to detect simulation sickness of subjects.
