동해안 서식 동해코끼리조개(Panopea sp.)의 세로토닌 주사에 따른 산란 유발과 다정수정 방지를 위한 정자밀도에 따른 유생발달 (Effects of Serotonin Injection on Spawning and Modulation of Sperm Densities for Preventing Polyspermy to Achieve Larval Development in Eastern Gooeyduck Clam Panopea sp. Distributed on the East Coast of Korea)

  • We examined the effects of serotonin on the spawning response, sperm motility, and D-shaped larva production in Eastern Gooeyduck clam Panopea sp. based on the sperm densities at fertilization and washing after mixing the eggs and sperm. The highest spawning induction was found showed in females and males injected with 1 mL of 2 mM serotonin. The spawning responses in females and males were higher at concentrations greater than 1 mM and 0.75 mM, respectively. Regarding the activities of sperm in sea water after serotonin injection, the sperm showed activity at >90.0% until 120 mins. We also examined the effects of sperm concentration at the fertilization and washing times after mixing the eggs and sperm. We confirmed that washing within 1 minute at a concentration of 1,500 sperms/mL or less can prevent egg destruction by polyspermy and secure a large number of D-phase larvae. These results should be useful for developing the aquaculture process for Eastern Gooeyduck clam, Panopea sp.

  • The freshwater goby, Micropercops swinhonis ($G\"{u}nther$) was studied on the spawning behavior and egg develeopment at the two areas of Chollabukdo, Korea from March to May 1995. Egg mass attached to a layer under stones and the inner wall of waterplant, Cyperus. Spawning behavior was divided in to 1) premating stage: selecting spawning sites and formation of territory by male, 2) mating stage: enticement with zigzag-like dance and intermittant shaking of head by male and fertilization, 3) postmating stage: fanning, guarding and cleaning the nest by male. The eggs were transparent and spherical in shape, measuring $0.9\times1.4mm$ with yellowish yolk sac and many oil globules. Hatching began in about ten days after fertilization at water temperature $16~20^{\circ}C$. The newly hatched larvae were 3.8~4.0 mm in total length with 30 myomeres and their mouths and anuses were opened. Melanophores appeared at the air-bladder and the ventral side of caudal region.gion.

양미리 (Hypoptichus dybowskii)의 산란과 발생 (Spawning and Egg Development of Sand eel(Hypoptichus dybowskii))

  • In order to study the reproductive physiology of Sand ell(Hypoptichus dybowskii) catched at kangwon-do, Wooamjin Bay, spawning and egg development were investigated in April and May, 1996. The observed spawning period was from the middle of April to the end of May with the water temperature above $8^{\circ}$C. Body size and colouration were distinguished between male and female. The type of testicular structure is lobular, and the ovary is a pair of sac-sahaped covering with a fibromuscula capsule and comprising a mature egg of average 86. The unfertilzed egg are demersal and adhesive, and their diameter were 1.65-1.95 mm. the colour of yolk is light yellow and contained a lot of tiny oil globules. The average spawned egg was 62 in sargasso weeds. Hatching was observed in 12 days after fertilization with the water temperature of 14 ${\pm}1^{\circ}$C. The average size of larva after hatching was 6.85${\pm}$0.23mm in total length, and larva were containing yolk including globule.

A Genetic Analysis of the Common Squid, Todarodes pacificus in the Korean Waters

  • In order to estimate the genetic variability and differentiation in common squid, eleven isozymic loci, coded for nine enzymes detected by starch gel electrophoresis, were scored from nine spawning cohorts in four localities. The expected average heterozygosity ranged from 0.00019 (between II-S$_2$ and Na-W) to 0.00814 (Between Bu-S and Na-W) in nine different spawning cohorts in four localities. A dendrogram, based on genetic distance mentioned, illustrated that nine different spawning cohorts were divided into three groups, similar to the result estimated by their ecological characterizations. From these results, we estimate that the common squid distributed throughout Korean waters will maintain this gene exchange. It is postulated that either the summer or the autumn spawning cohort has developed a local population that is isolated by hydrographic factors.

연속 산란 어류의 온도함수 성장곡선 추정 (A seasonal growth curve estimation for continuous spawning fishes)

  • 어류의 성장함수로는 동화작용과 이화작용의 차이가 성장을 결정하는 형태의 곡선이 사용 된다. 대부분의 어류는 일 년에 정해진 기간에 한번 산란하는 형태를 갖는다. 이러한 어류를 일시적 산란 어류라고 하고 이와는 다르게 일 년 동안 영양 상태에 따라 계속적으로 산란하는 멸치 등의 어류를 연속산란 어류라고 한다. 본 논문에서는 일시적 산란 어류에 비교하여 산란 시기가 성장에 영향을 많이 주는 연속 산란 어류의 성장곡선을 산란시기의 수온 함수로 성장식을 유도하였다.

  • Effects of human chorionic gonadotropin (HCG) on ovulation and spawning of the grass puffer, Takifugu niphobles, were investigated. Matured females spawned successfully by all doses of HCG. Spawning usually occurred 24 hours after hormone injection. Body weight of adult, gonadsomatic index (GSI), pseudo-GSI, body weight of spawned egg, success rate of spawn, fertilization rate, hatching rate, and survival rate of juvenile were correlated with increasing HCG doses. However, abnormal rate of juvenile was not correlated with increasing HCG doses. These results should be useful for developing aquaculture program of grass puffer.

잠수관찰을 통한 경남 진해만과 통영 연안 청어 Clupea pallasii의 산란기 추정 (Estimation of Spawning Season of Clupea pallasii in the Jinhae Bay and Coastal Waters of Tongyeong in Gyeongnam Using Scuba Observation)

  • 이번 연구는 산란기로 알려진 12월부터 2월까지 경남 진해만과 통영 연안에서 잠수조사를 통해 산란회유하는 청어의 산란기를 명확히 밝히는 데 목적이 있다. 경남 진해만에서 2017년 12월부터 2018년 1월까지 3개의 정점에서 총 18회, 통영 영운리 연안에서는 2017년 12월부터 2018년 2월까지 총 24회 잠수조사를 통해 결과를 분석하였다. 조사기간 중 확인된 청어 수정란은 진해만 저도 연안에서 평균 740,274개/㎡, 진해만 구산면 연안에서는 평균 671,718개/㎡였다. 통영 영운리 연안에서는 2017년 12월 30일에 388,444개/㎡개의 수정란이 1회 관찰되었고 그 이후 조사에서는 관찰되지 않았다. 이번 연구결과 경남 진해만과 통영 연안에서 청어 산란은 12월 말에 시작되고 이때의 수온은 평균 7.7℃였다.

  • Flathead flounder Hippoglossoides dubius is a commercially important fish in the coastal waters of Gangwon Province, which is its spawning ground and breeding habitat. A total of 1,669 gonads were sampled monthly from February 2011 to May 2013 to investigate ecological characteristics, such as variations in maturation and spawning by gonad index, visual maturity stage, histological observations and oocyte diameter. Males were numerically dominant over females in the fishing grounds year round. The spawning season was from January to April, and the peak was from February to March. Oocyte number as a measure of fecundity was between 27,372 and 915,209 eggs with a length range of 26.0-48.7 cm TL, while the largest oocyte grew to 0.9-1.4mm in egg diameter during its spawning season. The relationship between fecundity and total length was $F=0.0016TL^{5.2539}$. The smallest mature lengths of the females and males were 28.4 and 22.6 cm respectively, and the 50% mature lengths of females and males were 32.9, 26.9 cm respectively.

  • 북방종개 Iksookimia pacifica의 연령 및 산란기 특징을 밝히기 위해 2013년 1월부터 12월까지 강원도 고성군 북천에서 조사를 실시하였다. 전장빈도분포도를 이용하여 연령을 추정한 결과 암컷은 산란기 (7월)를 기준으로 전장 30~49 mm는 만 1년생, 50~74 mm는 만 2년생, 75~99 mm는 만 3년생, 100~124 mm는 만 4년생, 130~160 mm는 만 5년생 이상으로 추정되었다. 성비 (♂/♀)는 0.63이었으며 암컷이 수컷보다 30~60 mm가 더 컸다. 이차 성징인 수컷 가슴지느러미의 골질반은 부화 후 13개월 후에 생성되어 암 수가 구별되었다. 산란기는 생식소성숙도로 추정한 결과 7~8월 (산란성기 7월)로 추정되었으며, 포란수는 $2,503{\pm}1,337$개, 성숙난의 크기는 $1.11{\pm}0.04mm$였다.

  • 본 연구는 2008년 11월부터 2009년 10월까지 경상남도 의령군 유곡면 세간교 일대 유곡천에서 수수미꾸리의 산란시기와 산란특성에 대해 조사하였다. 수수미꾸리의 연령을 분석한 결과 수컷은 1년생 전장 45~55 mm, 2년생 55~75 mm, 3년생 75 mm 이상, 암컷은 1년생 40~55 mm, 2년생 55~75 mm, 3년생 75~95 mm, 4년생 95 mm 이상으로 추정되었다 (2009년 1월 기준). 산란시기는 5~6월 사이로 추정되었고 (수온 $21.0{\sim}26.6^{\circ}C$) 성적으로 성숙하는 연령은 만 2년생 이상으로 판단되었으며 포란수는 202~747개 ($491{\pm}154.0$)로 나타났다.
