The purpose of this study was to investigate spatial characteristics and using behavior of activity room in skilled nursing facilities for the elderly and to provide basic guidelines about its space planning. The activity rooms in the most of the research facilities were arranged by usage modification of unnecessary spaces after the foundation of the facility, and were used not only for the program service but for the staff lounge. It decreased space speciality and resulted in limited area of the space and crowded furniture arrangement. The design guidelines for activity room were as follows. First, the space plan of activity room is based on the use of once to twice per week and for 30 minutes per use, and is mainly for the human knowledge and art programs that are appropriate for small group. Second, the activity room of the facility with less than 3 stories needs to be in the same floor as elderly individual room, but should be independent and easy to be controlled by the staff. On the other hand, in more than 4 stories facility, it is better to be in the different floor as the elderly living area such as administrational area close to the lounge and garden. Third, at least $5.9m^{2}$ per user for the area of the activity room is recommended including the elderly, staff, furniture, equipments and restroom. Fourth, the furniture of activity room includes the shelves, big table with enough knee space, wheel, and stopper, and stackable chairs. Toilets and water closet are needed for the emergency, and the windows to the corridor and curtain door should be avoided for soundproof and easy access of wheelchair users.

The purpose of this study is to examine how the floor heating system is affecting to users in childeren's libraries. This study included the method that extracts the affordance of the floor heating system, after surveyed using behavior in children's libraries and referred to J. J. Gibson's affordance and surface concepts. As the positive affordance, it was grasped that the floor heating system promotes social relationships and affords various surfaces for library using, but also as the negative affordance, that hinders users in the public usings and the behaviors for reference and using. The behaviors of these various characters can be regarded as life behaviors resulted from the sitting life style and the natural using behavior can give to children emotional rest and autonomous reading experience. For the function as the children's library, the learning of sociality in the public building and the various reading space, the space planning of children's library should be done after the positive and negative affordances extracted from this study are reflected. The guidelines for space planning are summarized as the followings: the layout of book furniture, the shoe chest and the space around that, the furniture hight and children's eye level, and the practical using of the table for sitting life style.

The most recent study of the hospital design indicates that the researchers focus more on creating the healing environment within the hospital facility. Furthermore, it demonstrates the environment of individual living space for patients such as hospital wards becomes much more significant. This study seeks to analyze how various configurations and compositions of the resting space in the general hospital in Korea affect on patients in the aspect of healing environment and its treatment provided within the facility. The behavior of patients and their family members are analyzed thru the observation and the surveying process in order to find out the level of satisfaction and their demand for the healing environment in the resting space such as day-rooms, corridors and external garden. Finally, the purpose of this study is to create the principles of architectural composition for the healing environment in the hospital design.

This study examines the millennial generation, who express themselves and share information on social media after experiencing constantly changing 'hot places' (places of interest) in contemporary cities, with the goal of analyzing space consumption behaviors. Data were collected via an Instagram crawler application developed with Python 3.4 administered to 19,262 posts using the term 'hot places' from November 1 and December 15, 2019. Issues were derived from a text mining technique using Textom 2.0; in addition, semantic network analysis using Ucinet6 and the NetDraw program were also conducted. The results are as follows. First, a frequency analysis of keywords for hot places indicated words frequently found in nouns were related to food, local names, SNS and timing. Words related to positive emotions felt in experience, and words related to behavior in hot places appeared in predicate. Based on importance, communication is the most important keyword and influenced all issues. Second, the results of visualization of semantic network analysis revealed four categories in the scope of the definition of "hot place": (1) culinary exploration, (2) atmosphere of cafés, (3) happy daily life of 'me' expressed in images, (4) emotional photos.

Kinematically redundant manipulators have been studied because of its usefulness of kinematic redundancy. It is natural that the kinematic redundancy induces a kind of control redundancy. By using the weighted kinematically decoupled joint space decomposition, we unify the control redundancy and the kinematic redundancy parameterized by the joint space weighting matrix. Concentrating to the particular component of each decomposition, we can describe the local minimization behavior of the control weighted quadratic by each weighted decomposition. The result extends the conventional results on general setting, and should be of interest in understanding the motion behavior of kinematically redundant manipulators.

This paper proposes the state-space model of the thermal behavior of the spindle system to establish dynamic mathematical model of thermal characteristics in machine tool spindle system. the model is derived form physical law of heat transfer and thermoelasticity and represents the thermal behavior induced by uneven thermal expansions whitin a bearing. The model, which is sucessfully validated for two typical configurations of high speed spindle assembles, provides a tool for understanding the basis mechanics of induced thermal expansion as a function of initial preload, spindle speed and housing cooling conditions.

Fatigue Behavior of a GFRP bridge deck consisting of rectangular unit modules is studied by an experimental method. The experiment focuses on how the damage in the transverse direction influence the overall behavior of the deck It is proposed filling the space in each module with a soft foam. Using the recent experimental data, the fatigue behavior is discussed. If the space of the deck is filled with the foam, the fatigue life of the deck was increased about 1,000 times for the same level of the stress variation as the reference deck not filled.

본 연구의 목적은 인지적 업무분석(CWA) 프레임워크를 활용하여 중학생들의 공공도서관에서의 정보행태를 조사하며, 도서관 공간에서의 행태 분석 연구에서 CWA의 효과를 파악하는데 있다. 연구방법으로 CWA 프레임워크를 적용한 심층면담과 관찰방법을 사용하였다. 연구 결과 학생들이 보고서 작성을 위해 도서관에서 자료를 찾을 때, 보고서에 적합한 자료, 도서관 자료의 한정성, 도서관의 개관시간, 자료의 이용 가능성 등이 정보행태에 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 이용 행동은 크게 3가지 타입으로 보여주고 있는데, 온라인목록을 이용하여 자료의 청구기호를 확인한 후, 서가에서 자료를 찾아 열람테이블에서 보고서를 작성하는 타입, 바로 서가에 가서 필요한 자료를 찾아 대출하는 타입, 도서관 직원에 의존하여 자료를 대출하는 타입으로 구분되었다. 또한 CWA는 도서관 공간에서 정보행태를 조사하는데 효과적이지만, 여러 가지 복합적인 조사가 누적되어야만 효과적으로 공간을 재구성하는데 적용할 수 있다고 본다.

This paper is concerned with the geometrically nonlinear behavior of elastic systems under conservative loading conditions. In particular, the topic are snap through problems and the arc-length method to pass limit points of space trusses is used. And numerical examples are presented to trace nonlinear equilibrium paths.

The purpose of this study is to categorize elderly people's behavior using the questionnaire filling up by oneself for 24hours and to analyze the time required according to behavior and space. Also, through analytical researches, we find a way to develop smart home service. In this study, we carry out a questionnaire targeting a number of 20 elderly people. The questionnaire is to survey elderly people's behaviors for 24hours. Questionnaire items consist of three parts : items for checking time required about a daily behavior, items for analyzing a space in daily lives, generalities. This study is analyzed through descriptive statistics. The results of this study were as follows. Firstly, the elderly people's behaviors were eight categories. Among these behavior's categories, the highest portion is the behavior related to Individual maintenance such as sleep, personal hygiene, nap, etc. by 49%. Secondly, the portion of time required in residence based on daily lives is higher than outside of residence by 73%. Lastly, analyzing each space in residence focused on time required of elderly people's behaviors, bed room is the highest portion by 49%, and followed by living room with 29% and kitchen with 15%, and bath room with 7%.
