굴 껍데기에서 개미산으로 추출한 칼슘화합물과 활성제의 수관살포가 사과 '후지' 과실의 칼슘농도, 과피 형태 및 품질에 미치는 영향 (Effects of Tree-spray of Calcium Formate Compound Extracted from Oyster Shell and Active Agent on the Calcium Concentration, Fruit Skin Shape, and Quality of 'Fuji' Apple Fruit)

  • 본 연구는 굴 껍데기로 제조한 개미산 칼슘화합물에 몇 가지 활성제를 첨가한 용액 수관살포가 사과 '후지' 과실의 칼슘농도, 과점의 발육 및 품질에 미치는 영향을 구명코자 실시하였다. 굴 껍데기로부터 추출한 칼슘 화합물(Os-CaF, $52.4mg{\cdot}kg^{-1}$)을 수관살포하였을 때 조직으로의 칼슘전이 효과는 무처리에 비하여 잎, 과피 및 과육에서 현저한 증가를 보였다. 그리고 Os-CaF에 활성제를 첨가하여 살포하였을 때 '후지' 과실의 칼슘함량은 증가되었다. 특히, 잎에서는 ascorbic acid, polyvinyl alcohol을, 과피에서는 Ag-colloidal, polyvinyl alcohol을, 과육에서는 ascorbic acid, Ag-colloidal, polyvinyl alcohol을 첨가한 칼슘화합물이 칼슘 흡수량을 현저히 증가시켰다. 칼슘화합물의 농도 및 활성제 종류에 따른 과실품질(과중, 경도, 가용성고형물, 산 함량, 과피색)은 차이가 없었다.

Chitosan을 이용한 감식초의 청징화 (Clarification of Persimmon Vinegar Using Chitosan)

  • The effects of chitosans with two different molecular weights (150 and 37 kDa) on the clarification of persimmon vinegar were investigated. The coagulated solids increased with increasing chitosan concentrations. Chitosan treatment had no effect on pH and acidity. Turbidity, browning, contents of tannin and soluble solids decreased with increasing chitosan concentrations. An increase in chitosan concentration resulted in an increase in color L* value and a decrease in a* and b* values. Reduction in turbidity and tannin contents somewhat differed depending on the molecular weights of chitosan. In sensory evaluation, chitosan treatment did not affect color and flavor over all concentrations tested. However, astringent taste was noticeably strong by treatment with 500mg/L chitosan, resulting in low overall acceptability. Therefore, the most effective clarification of persimmon vinegar was achieved by treatment with 400mg/L chitosan, irrespective of molecular weight.

타닌접착제를 위한 시베리아산 낙엽송 수피 온수추출물의 한외여과 특성 (Ultrafiltration Characteristics of Hot-Water Extracts from Siberian Larch Barks for Tannin-based Adhesives)

  • Hot-water soluble extracts were prepared from medium-sized barks of Siberian larch (Larix gmelineii). The extracts were fractionated by ultrafiltration method for producing uniform quality of adhesives. Molecular weight distribution of the extracts was ranged of 100 to 300.000. pH of the extracts affected amounts of flux, and the range of pH 6~pH 8 was proper for wood adhesives, because of easy concentration and fast gelation time. Removal of particles greater than $0.45{\mu}m$ from the extracts increased both filtration speed (flux) and yields of solids in the filtrates. In ultrafiltration process. operating pressure, filtrate temperature, and flow rate significantly increased with the increase of individual condition. Ultrafiltration using PM10 membrane was very effective to fractionate and concentrate the extracts. Removal of large particles greater than 0.45 m from the extracts increased filtration speed(flux) and yields of solids in the filtrates. A gelation time was accelerated with the increasing pH of the extracts and its concentration. The Stiasny precipitate(26%) from the filtrate obtained by PM 10 membrane was very lower than that(78%) of the retentates. This ultrafiltration method was efficient for obtaining high yield purified phenolic compounds.

커피원두의 분쇄입자크기에 따른 에스프레소의 관능적 특성 (The Sensory Characteristics of Espresso according to Grinding Grades of Coffee Beans)

  • Grinding is an indispensible step in preparation of espresso coffee. The purpose of this study was to evaluate physicochemical and sensory characteristics of espresso according to the grinding grades of coffee beans. Specifically, physicochemical characteristics according to the grinding grades of coffee beans were tested based on foam index, persistence of foam, total solids, concentration, extraction yield, pH, viscosity, total soluble solid content and density. With regard to sensory characteristics, QDA were carried out by 10 trained panels. Persistence of foam, total solids, concentration, extraction, pH and viscosity in physicochemical test showed significant differences among the three categories of the samples. In other words, the finer the size of particles was, the higher value was, at the p=0.001 value. Meanwhile, the value of foam index and total soluble solid content to the grinding grades was the highest in 'fine', at the p=0.001 value. Tiger-skin effect in crema, an important attribute for excellent espresso coffee, was perceived by all of the panels in 'fine'. Also, intensity of flavor was perceived as to the strongest in 'fine'. Moreover, 'fine' had the sweetness to balance the acids and bitters. In conclusion, according to the grinding grades, it was identified that there were differences in the physicochemical and sensory characteristics. Furthermore, when the size of particles was 'fine', it brought to the most positive result.

인삼청량음료 제조에 관한 연구 (Studies on the Manufacturing of Soft Ginseng Drink Part I. Purification procedure of raw ginseng extracts)

  • Red ginseng tails were extracted with ethanol solutions over a range of concentrations and temperature conditions. Investigations were carried out to study the effects of treatments on yields, soluble solids, saponin and precipitate occured in red ginseng extract beverage during storage. It was found that: (1) Higher concentration of ethanol at low temperature resulted in less yield of crude extract (2) The amount of precipitate in the non-purified extract beverage were less with decrease in ethanol concentration used (3) The treatment for purification of extracts and storage of purified extract at 37$^{\circ}C$ for 6 months had no effect on HPLC chromatogram pattern of saponins (4) The amount of purified extract decreased by purification treatment and more decrease was found as the temperature and concentration of ethanol increased. For Preparation of red ginseng extract beverage, the treatment of extracts with ethanol at low temperature was found to be more effective to minimize precipitation in tile beverage.

역삼투막을 이용한 사과쥬스의 예비농축 (Pre-concentration of Apple Juice with Different Reverse Osmosis Membranes)

  • 청징한 사과쥬스를 역삼투 장치를 이용하여 예비농축을 하였다. 사용한 역삼투막의 종류에 따른 농축한계농도는, HR 95 및 HR 98형의 역삼투막에 60 bar를 가하여 농축하였을 때 $29.0^{\circ}$Brix이었으며, 이 농도에 도달하는데 소요된 시간은 HR 95형이 86분, HR 98형이 71분이었다. CA 865와 CA 960형은 30 bar에서 농축한계 농도를 보이지 않고 역삼투압 장치의 가동시간이 경과함에 따라 직선적으로 농도가 증가 하였는데 HR형의 경우에 비하여 동일 농도에 도달하는 시간이 더 많이 소요되었다. 한편 역삼투막을 통하여 손실된 가용성 고형물의 양을 쥬스의 농축농도와 관련지어 비교시 20.0 $25.0^{\circ}$ Brix의 농축범위에서 HR 95 HR 98 CA 865및 CA 960의 역삼투막을 통과한 permeate에는 가용성고형물이 각각 평균 1.3, 0.5, 7.5 및$2.3^{\circ}$Brix씩 함유되어 있었으며 HR형 특히 HR 98을 통한 손실이 가장 적은 것으로 나타났다. 또한 총산 및 향기성분 permeate를 통한 손실도 가용성고형물의 손실에서 보인 경향과 유사 하였다.

수치실험을 통한 초음파 결합형 SBR 호기성 소화의 거동 예측 (Performance Estimation of SBR Aerobic Digestion Combined with Ultrasonication by Numerical Experiment)

  • Using a developed mathematical model and calibrated kinetic constants, numerical experiments for a aerobic digestion of wastewater sludge by SBR aerobic digestion process combined with ultrasonication (USSBR) were performed in this study. It simulated well the phenomena of the decomposition of particulate organics and the release of organic nitrogen and transformation. To achieve 40 % of particulate organics removal, USSBR process requires only 6 days of SRT and 14 W/L of ultrasonic power whereas SBR aerobic digestion process requires 12 days of SRT. Based on the model simulation results, an empirical equation was presented here. This equation will be used to predict digestion efficiency for the given variables of SRT and ultrasonic power dose. USSBR aerobic digestion process can reduce the nitrogen concentration. The optimal operation strategy for the simultaneous removal of solids and soluble nitrogen in this process is estimated to 7 days of SRT with 14 W/L of ultrasonic power dose while anoxic period was 6 hours out of 24 hours of cycle time. In this condition, 40 % of particulate organics as well as 36 % of total nitrogen will be removed and the soluble nitrogen concentration of the centrate will be lower less then 40 mg/L.

흡착제를 이용한 택서스속 식물세포 배양액으로부터 Paclitaxel 회수 (Recovery of Paclitaxel from Suspension Culture Medium with Hydrophobic Resin)

  • 택서스속 식물세포인 Taxus chinensis 배양에서 식물세포, 세포조각 및 여액에 있는paclitaxel 의 분포는 paclitaxel 생 산량에 의존하였다. 즉, 여액에 녹을 수 있는 paclitaxel에 힌계가 있기 때문에 발효조에서의 생산량이 적을 경우 여 액 에 녹아 있는 paclitaxel양은 상대 적 으로 증가하여 수율 증가 측면에서 이를 반드시 회수하여야 한다. 여러가지 종 류의 흡착제 중에서 HP20 (stylene, high porous polymer)의 경우 흡착 및 탈착 효율이 좋고 가격도 저렴하여 가장 경 제적인 흡착제 임을 알 수 있었다. 식물세포와 세포조각이 포함되어 있는 배양액의 경우 흡착효율이 상당히 떨어져 10 g/l흡착제로 3일 동안 반응시켜도 여액내 paclitaxel은 여 전히 잔존함을 알 수 있었다 데칸터 여 액, 식불세포만 제 거된 배양액의 경우에는 흡착효율이 향상되어 5 g/l흡착제 처리로 1일 정도면 배양액내 paclitaxel이 완전히 흡착됨을 말 수 있었다. 또한 고속원심분리기 여액, 식물세포와 세 포조각이 제거된 여액의 경우 3 g/l흡착제 처리로 1일 정 도면 여 액내 paclitaxel이 완전히 흡착되 어 여 액내 paclitaxel 을 완전히 회수할 수 있었다. 이상의 결과로부터 여액에 녹아 있는 paclitaxel 회수를 위하여 식물세포와 세포조각을 미리 제거한 여액, 즉 고체 함량을 줄인 여액이 더욱 효과 적임을 알 수 있었다.

적출조건에 따른 홍삼엑기스의 구성성분 및 수율간의 상관 (Relationship between Chemical Components and their Yields of Red Ginseng Extract Extracted by Various Extracting Conditions)

  • Korean red ginseng tails was extracted with solutions having various ethanol concentration at the temperature range of 70-100 $^{\circ}C$. Extraction was carried out for 1-5 times of 8 hours at given temperature. The results obtained on physicochemical properties of yields, saponins, sugars, minerals, color and viscosity were analyzed statistically to find the correlation with extracting conditions. A very high positive correlation was found between extraction time and cumulative values of yields of chemical components. Increase in ethanol concentration affected negatively on viscosity, absorbencies and yields of soluble solids and minerals. Some of the properties also showed a high correlation with temperature increase. Equations were also derived from the significant results on correlation analysis.

H 광산배수 내 미세부유물질 및 용해성 중금속의 제거를 위한 침전 및 여과 공법에 관한 연구 (Settling and Filtering Process for the Treatment of Fine Suspended Solids and Soluble Heavy Metals in H Mine Drainage)

  • Fine suspended solids generated effluence from treatment process of mine drainage could destroy environment as the aesthetic landscapes, and depreciate water quality. Therefore, the purpose of this research is focused on process development applied the actual field for controlling fine suspended solids and heavy metals, and so lab-scale test was performed for inducement of basic data. The mine drainage used in this research was sampled in H mine located Jeongseon-gun, Gangwon-do. Concentration of suspended solid, arsenic, iron and manganese was exceeded the standard of contaminant limitation for the clean water, and particle size of suspended solid was less than 10 m as fine particle. Although hydraulic retention time of mine drainage for effective settling was required more than 6 hours, hydraulic retention time would be increased in winter season when the settling efficiency could be reduced because of viscosity decreasing. Moreover, installed inclination plate helped to increase settling efficiency of suspended solid about 48 %. Filtering media that was the most effective removal of suspended solids and heavy metal was decided granular activated carbon of 1~2 mm was the optimal size.
