온라인 중고 거래 플랫폼을 활용한 리셀의 의미 (The Meaning of Resell Activities Using the Online Second-hand Platform)

  • Reselling, an activity of purchasing high-scarcity products and selling them back at high prices, has gained popularity among those in their 20s and 30s in recent years. This study examines the resell activity process of the MZ generation using the online second-hand platform and its inherent meaning. Interviews with 15 participants in their 20s and 30s showed that respondents have four purchase stages: being influenced by social media, collecting and comparing information using various social media, purchasing efforts, and post-purchase behavior. The research derived three inherent meanings of resell activities: (1) means of self-presentation and differentiation, (2) confirmation of investment skills and aptitude to lead fashion trends, and (3) pleasure of consumption. Respondents indicated meeting self-satisfaction through public selfies on social media. In addition, they emphasized the empirical pleasure during the buying journey by collecting product information, comparing prices, and negotiating with buyers. Our findings confirm the spread of resell activities from minority groups to enthusiastic youth. This study is significant for focusing on fashion products that attract attention in the resell market and examining the respondents' consumption experiences from various perspectives.

사회복지학 및 간호학 전공 대학생의 에이즈 감염인에 대한 인식, 지식, 편견 및 사회적 거리감 (University student's Perception, Knowledge, Attitude and Social distance for People living with HIV/AIDS)

  • 본 연구는 향후 사회적 취약계층을 돕는 전문직을 양성하는 분야인 사회복지학과 간호학 전공 대학생의 에이즈에 대한 인식, 지식, 에이즈 감염인 및 사회적 소수인에 대한 편견, 에이즈 감염인에 대한 사회적 거리감을 탐색하고, 사회적 거리감과 관련된 요인을 분석하는 것을 목적으로 한다. 645명의 자료를 분석하였으며, 분석결과, 첫째, 에이즈 감염인에 대한 인식은 성과 관련된 단어를 떠올리는 경우가 가장 많았으며, 둘째, 에이즈에 대한 지식의 경우, 예방과 관련된 문항, 감염경로에 대한 일부 문항은 전체적으로 지식이 높은 대상자라 하더라도 오답인 경우가 많았다. 셋째, 사회적 소수인에 대한 편견 및 에이즈 감염인에 대한 편견은 각각 상관관계가 통계적으로 유의하였으며, 마지막으로, 에이즈 감염인에 대한 사회적 거리감에 영향을 미치는 요인은 위계적 회귀분석 결과 에이즈 감염인에 대한 편견만 최종적으로 통계적으로 유의한 변인으로 남았다. 최종모델의 설명력은39%였다. 본 연구결과가 대학생 교육과 프로그램 개발의 방향 모색을 위한 기초자료로 활용되기를 기대한다.

미술의 공공성과 키스 해링(Keith Haring)의 사회적 개입에 관한 연구 (A Study on Art's Public Features and Social Intervention by Keith Haring)

  • This thesis started from the attempt to make it clear that 80's American artist Keith Haring(1958-1990) had conducted social intervention of criticism, resistance, and participation through his works, and so pursued public value. Haring of graffiti fame left popular and familiar cartoon style pictures on the street wall, the billboards, the posters and so on. Popular and playful works was explained as his unique characteristics, but Haring's creative way at the field has more value than just being grasped as artist's personal characteristics. Haring's work pieces became everyday art by joining with people's life, and are working as a social speaking place. So I think that these Haring's art works possess characteristics of 'the public sphere'. 'The Public Sphere' means that is independent and free from the government or partisan economic forces, so that is not connected with the interested relations, and that is the sphere of rational argumentation without 'disguise' or 'fabrication', and that is the sphere where general public can participate in and is inspected by them. The public sphere between the sphere of public authority such a nation and a market and the private sphere of free individual, it is mutually connected with them and works as the space forming public opinion. Private individuals communicate with this public sphere and perform a role of direct and indirect check, balance, and social criticism way off from power. Openness that should include the voice of not only leading power but also the socially weak such as citizens, women, homosexuals, minority races, and so on, and alienated class, is an index of the public characteristics. The public sphere is not working just with speech and mass media. Many artists as well as Haring open their mouth and act through an art at the center of society, and create another public sphere by an art. I understood that the real participatory and practical characteristics on the Haring's work is a phenomenon and current of a part of the art world including Haring. Such current started from 1960s is the in-depth effort to be connected with the life more closely, to communicate with people, and to improve problems of life. And it has pursued public value on the different way from the nation or public power. Artists have intervened in the society with strategic and positive ways in order to raise pushed-out value and sinked rights as the public agenda, and labored to accept the value of variety and difference at the society. The aspect of such social intervention is the notable features, findable on the Haring's works and process. Haring's works include art historical meanings and are expressed with familiar and plastic language, so they were able to communicate with various classes. And he secured various customers at the field and the street. This communicative and public approach factor raised the possibility much for his works to work as the public sphere. Haring presented critical and resistant speech toward society with his works based on this factor. He asserted his position and justice of gender identity as a sexual minority. And his such work continued to movement for alienated class and social week over his own rights. His speech and message on the wall painting, poster, T-shirts, billboard of the subway, and so on worked as a spectacle and pressed concern with social issues and consciousness shift. And he's been trying to protect and care people who is injured by HIV and drug and to realize social justice through social week protection. Haring's works planned to meet many people as much as possible performed its role of intervening in society through criticism, resistance, speech, and participation, and controlling and checking social issues. These things considered, Haring's works show his consciousness about public attributes of art, and obviously include public value seeking. And also we can find the meaning of such his work as that an art is working as the public sphere and shows the possibility to discuss and practice public issues.

소셜 북마킹 시스템의 이용자 행위 패턴에 관한 연구 (A Study About User Pattern of Social Bookmarking System)

  • 최근 들어 웹의 진화가 급속하게 진전되면서 사용자가 직접 참여하는 유형의 서비스들이 활발하게 보급되었다. 사용자들은 네트워크 공간상에서 여러 종류의 콘텐츠를 공유하며 의견을 교환한다. 이러한 서비스의 대표적인 예로 소셜 북마킹 사이트를 들 수 있다. 사이트의 이용자들은 웹 사이트를 북마킹하는 과정에 있어서 타인의 북마킹 내역 및 태그 정보를 공유하며태그를 생산하게 되는데 이를 협업적 태깅이라고 한다. 본 연구에서는 최근 활발하게 이용되는 소셜 북마킹 및 협업적 태깅에 대한 실증적인 분석을 수행하였다. 분석 결과 분석 결과 전체 이용자 중에서 아주 소수만이 북마킹 활동을 활발하게 수행하며, 소수의 사이트와 태그가 다수의 사용자에 의해 이용되었다. 24%의 사용자가 총 80%에 해당하는 태깅을 수행하였으며, 75%의 사이트와 81%의 태그가 3번 이하로 태깅되었다. 사용자에 따라서 북마킹 활동에도 차이가 있었으며, 가장 이른 시점에 부여된 태그가 다수의 동의를 얻었다. 특정 사이트의 태그 구성 비율은 점차 수렴해감을 확인할 수 있었다. 본 연구결과가 향후 소셜 북마킹 시스템의 발전에 도움이 시사점을 제공한다고 기대한다.

트위터 사용자의 위치정보와 성향을 고려한 트윗 수집 시스템 (Tweet Acquisition System by Considering Location Information and Tendency of Twitter User)

  • 최근 소셜 네트워크 서비스가 급격히 성장하면서, 소셜 네트워크 분석에 관련된 연구들도 많은 관심을 받고 있다. 특히 트위터는 사회적 이슈나 사건들에 대해 실시간으로 반응하기 때문에, 사회과학 분야나 정보검색 분야의 연구자들이 유용한 실험 데이터를 수집하는 데에 활용되고 있다. 그러나 정작 데이터를 수집하는 방법론에 관한 연구는 아직 미흡하다. 이에 본 논문에서는 위치 기반의 이벤트와 정치 사회적 이벤트 위주의 사용자의 성향을 고려한 트윗 수집 시스템을 제안한다. 우선 위치정보와 이벤트 관련 키워드를 포함하고 있는 트윗과 정치 사회적인 이벤트 검출에 필요한 ID들을 수집한 후, 사용자들의 성향을 분류할 ID 분석기를 설계했다. 또한 ID 분석기의 신뢰도 측정을 위해 상위 등급에 분류된 ID를 이용하여 트윗을 분석했다. 분석결과 1등급으로 분류된 ID는 88.8%의 신뢰도를 보였으며, 2등급으로 분류된 ID는 76.05%의 신뢰도를 보였다. 또한 ID 분석기는 77.5%의 신뢰도를 보였으며 소수의 ID를 사용함으로써 데이터의 수집시간을 줄였다.

여성한센인의 삶에 관한 생애사 연구 (A Biographical Research on Lives of Korean Women with Leprosy)

  • 이 연구는 여성한센인의 삶을 깊이 이해할 목적으로 수행된 것으로, 생애사 연구방법을 활용하였다. 이를 위해 여성한센인을 심층인터뷰한 결과, '천형과의 만남', '개미 같은 몸에 황소 같은 업보', '잦아드는 촛불'의 주제묶음이 도출되었다. 여성한센인은 발병 후 사회적 편견과 차별로부터 생존을 위해 강제 수용되었으며, 수용시설에서의 비인격적인 대우를 받으며 여성으로서의 결혼, 임신, 육아의 기회를 박탈당하였다. 치료 후에도 몸의 추형에 따른 사회로부터의 상대적 격리를 감수하면서, 피맺힌 서러움을 지닌 채 숨은 듯 살아가고 있었다. 한편으로는 차별과 배제로 일관된 한 많은 일생과 여전히 준비되지 않은 죽음을 바라보며 또 다시 체념하는 불안한 모습도 관찰되었다. 이 연구는 그동안 드러나지 않았던 여성한센인의 삶을 있는 그대로 내부자적 관점에서 드러냄으로서, 그들의 삶에 관한 총체적 이해에 유용한 기초자료가 될 것으로 본다.

버추얼 아이돌에 대한 유튜브 시청자 특성과 반응 분석 (Analysis of YouTube Viewers' Characteristics and Responses to Virtual Idols)

  • Due to the advancement of virtual reality technology, virtual idols are widely used in industrial and cultural content industries. However, it is difficult to utilize virtual idols' social perceptions because they are not properly understood. Therefore, this paper collected and analyzed YouTube comments to identify differences about social perception through comparative analysis between virtual idols and general idols. The dataset was constructed by crawling comments from music videos with more than 10 million views of virtual idols and more than 10,000 comments. Keyword frequency and TF-IDF values were derived from the collected dataset, and the connection centrality CONCOR cluster was analyzed with a semantic network using the UCINET program. As a result of the analysis, it was found that virtual idols frequently used keywords such as "person," "quality," "character," "reality," "animation," while reactions and perceptions were derived from general idols. Based on the results of this analysis, it was found that while general idols are mainly evaluated with their appearance and cultural factors, social perceptions of virtual idols' values are mixed with evaluations of cultural factors such as "song," "voice," and "choreography," focusing on technical factors such as "people," "quality," "character," and "animation." However, keywords such as "song," "voice," "choreography," and "music" are included in the top 30 like regular idols and appear in the same cluster, suggesting that virtual idols are gradually shifting away from minority tastes to mainstream culture. This study aims to provide academic and practical implications for the future expansion of the industry and cultural content industry of virtual idols by grasping the social perception of virtual idols.

동양계 미국 사회복지사의 진로선택에 영향을 미친 요소들 간의 관계에 대한 연구 (Exploring Relationships of Factors Influencing Career Choices Among Asian American Social Workers)

  • 본 연구는 사회인지직업이론 (Social Cognitive Career Theory)을 근거로, 동양계 미국인의 문화적응도 (levels of acculturation)와 이민 세대 (family immigration status)에 따라 주변인들의 불인정 (disapproval by significant others)으로 인한 진로선택의 어려움과 부모의 진로에 대한 관여도 (parental involvement)가 달라진다는 가설을 검증하였다. 사회조사연구로 설계되었으며 370명의 동양계 미국사회복지사의 자료를 분석하였다. 연구결과, 이민세대에 따라 진로선택에 관련하여 부모의 관여도와 주변인들의 불인정으로 인한 진로어려움이 달라지는 것으로 나타났다. 그러나 문화적응도는 부모의 진로 관여도와 주변인들의 불인정으로 인한 진로선택의 어려움에 유의미하게 영향을 미치지 않는 것으로 나타났다. 연구결과를 바탕으로 진로선택행동에 영향을 미치는 문화적 요인들을 고려한, 동양계 미국인들을 위한 진로상담에 대한 함의가 논의되었다.

중국 신장 위구르족 전통 아틀라스(Atlas) 직물의 특성 (Characteristics of the traditional Atlas fabrics of the Xinjiang Uygur Minority Ethnic Group, China)

  • The study investigates Atlas fabrics, the Ikat weaving method used by the Uygur People in Xinjiang, China. Based on domestic and foreign papers and other literature, different cultural characteristics of Ikat fabrics from various regions are compared. Following a theoretical investigation, characteristics of fabrics from the Indian Patola, Indonesian Ikat, Japanese Kasuri, and Uzbekistan Adras are summarized and compared with the characteristics of pattern, color, and manufacturing process of Atlas silk from Xinjiang China (also an Ikat fabric). The results are as follows. First, although the weaving process used for Ikat fabrics differs from country to country according to different national cultures, lifestyles, colors, patterns, and usage methods, they are all Ikat dyed fabrics. Therefore, they are all regarded as precious objects symbolizing a certain social status, and are used as a gift for special occasions, such as weddings. Second, the form of the pattern varies. Indian Patola has clear outlines and regular patterns, while the patterns of Japanese Kasuri are mainly inspired by folk life ideas. Indonesian Ikat contains influences from indigenous tribes, and Uzbekistan's and China's Atlas textiles are influenced by geography, religion, and national culture, including bright colors and pattern designs inspired by plants, musical instruments, and geometric figures. Finally, the patterns and colors of Xinjiang Atlas fabrics present strong ethnic characteristics. Unlike the Uzbekistan fabric which is mostly influenced by Islam, human and animal patterns would not feature in Xinjiang Atlas patterns, which mostly consist of long strips, repeated in a neat and orderly form.

Trends in Reports on Climate Change in 2009-2011 in the Korean Press Based on Daily Newspapers' Ownership Structure

  • Objectives: The mass media play a crucial role in risk communication regarding climate change. The aim of this study was to investigate the trend in journalistic reports on climate change in the daily newspapers of Korea. Methods: We selected 9 daily newspapers in Korea, which according to the ABC Association, represented 77% of newspaper circulation, out of a total of 44 Korean daily newspapers. The collected articles were from 2009 to 2011. All of the articles were sorted into the following 8 categories: greenhouse gas, climate change conventions, sea level rise, Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change synthesis reports, expected damage and effect, use of fossil fuels, global warming, and mitigation or adaptation. A chi-squared test was done on the articles, which were counted and classified into cause, effect, and measurement of climate change according to the newspaper's majority or minority ownership structure. Results: From the 9 selected newspapers, the number of articles on climate change by month was greatest in December 2009. Generally, the articles vague about climate change (lack of precise data, negative or skeptical tone, and improper use of terminology) were much more common than the articles presenting accurate knowledge. A statistical difference was found based on ownership structure: the majority-owned newspapers addressed the cause of climate change, while the minority-owned newspapers referred more to climate change measurement. Conclusions: Our investigation revealed that generally Korean daily newspapers did not deliver accurate information about climate change. The coverage of the newspapers showed significant differences according to the ownership structure.
