Since 2000, there have been many changes in the residential types, such as an intelligent apartment which integrates both resting space and production space with comfort able, pleasant and safe environments based on internet systems. As the result of the rapid decrease in the birth rate and the prolonged lifespan around the world, it is expected that we will enter into an aging society by 2026. With such the expected change in the living patterns, many issues concerning the increased number of the elderly people have emerged as major social problems such as changes of family formation, its function and values, responsibility of caring for the aged, health and medical care, habitation policies and so on, and it is required to reconsider the social awareness on the living qualities of each old person. However, we have not yet satisfied such requirements with appropriate policies for the improvement of the living environment for them. It is considered, therefore, that we need to develop a new tool that, according to our goals, can give us a broad understanding on several considerations in designing the future homes for the elder people, making it possible to check the process changed by residents' needs in real time and apply it immediately to the space. As we have seen, it is required that spatial design process and design methodology should be considered in designing the homes for the aged for the pre-occupancy design evaluation.

특히 산업사회의 개막이래, 사회의 모순과 결함에 대해서 그동안 지적되었으며 가설되어 왔던 진지한 담론들은 이제 비로소 담론의 독서실을 나와서 현실을 향한 실천으로 전향되어 가고자 하고 있다. 정보화 시대의 과거에 없던 구체적 특질과도 같은 학문의 사회에 대한 실천적 경향은 그러나 아직은 의지의 표출 또는 의사 표시의 단계에 있으며 구체적 실행의 방법 그리고 그 방법의 시행 및 조치가 가능할만한 구조의 정립에는 이르지 못하고 있다. 이 연구에서는 사회가 결함되어 있는 부분(부분이라기 보다는 오히려 총체적인 것이지만)을 그 동안의 분석적 '지적'들을 통합하는 방법으로 명확히 하면서, 그 동안 '대안'되어져 온 것들의 의미를 또한 종합적으로 규명하고자 하였다. 이어서 그 종합적 대안의 성격이 '디자인'의 실천적 이념이 지향하고자 하는바와 매우 흡사하거나, 혹은 일치하고 있다는 발견을 하고자 하였으며, 그러한 디자인의 이념과 방법을 사회화함으로써, 결국은 사회의 모순과 결함을 상당한 규모에서 해소시킬 수 있는 개혁적 치료의 방법으로 삼고자 하였다. 그러나 디자인의 이념과 방법을 사회 현실 일반으로 가져가기 위해서는 '교육'이라고 하는 영역의 가교가 새롭게 구축되어야 할 필요가 불가결하다고 보고, 교육 영역을 대상으로 사회개선의 예비 구조를 찾아보았으며, 거기에서 요구되는 조건과 방향을 제시하였다.

This study explored the effective ways of managing the intensive-curriculum based on the analysis of current situations in adopting the curriculum at schools. In order to achieve the study goals, interviews with five middle school teachers were conducted and the literature regarding current situations about adopting the intensive-curriculum were analyzed. Based on the study results, effective ways of designing curriculum were discussed and teaching models were developed according to the subject areas.

This design proposal was accepted to a design competition for the improvement of Indi Youth Street, Mapo-Gu, which was held by the Seoul Metropolitan Government in June, 2000. The \`Hong-ik University District\` projected area consists of several streets, where the independent and youth culture unique to this area is blossoming-Indi music, underground arts, and historic meaning of the area as an estuary of Mapo. The site is also expected to attract many citizens and fereigners because of convenient accessibility of the new subway station to the Inchon International Airport and because of many attractions on the street- foods, music, art and people. Accordingly, the proposal set the main design concept of this project as \`the Street of Youth Culture\` considering its special and social status as well as the physical improvement of the street environment. With this concept in mind, the proposal designed the improvement of the physical conditions based on the motive of \`the Street of Youth Culture\`, having Indi/under art, Indi/ under music, Indi/under drama and Indi/multimedia animation. This design proposal of the Street of Youth Culture consist of three segments, which symbolize the millenium Youth Plaza, MultiMedia Animation Pocket and Arts Exhibition Pocket based on unity and balance. This plan has the ultimate aim of making the district one of the people\`s favorite streets in Seoul, which people love to visit again and find the vivacity of the new millennium youth culture.

Nowadays, as a result of increasing income and spare time, the social demands for better living environment become more increasing. Above all, landscape improvement, the essential part of physical environment, will be a more important subject in urban planning. In these circumstances, classification of urban scenic quality is required for urban landscape development programs. The major purpose of this study is to suggest a technical method of designing urban scenic quality map for urban district area based on the scenery management system of the USDA forest service and literature studies. As a conclusion of this study, four steps are desirable for the technical method for designing a scenic quality map of urban districts areas : 1) Define a landscape unit on the map, 2) Take a photograph of these landscape unit on site, 3) Evaluate the landscape unit by semantic differential scale with landscape adjectives, and 4) Draw the scenic quality map, investigate the landscape characteristics and suggest the landscape scenic development plans.

This research attempts to develop a method to relieve dysmenorrhea, which is an obstacle to many women's social activities, by designing a smartwear with built-in thermotherapy and TENS device. TENS therapy has the advantages of being controlled by patients and not depending on the use of drugs. The TENS device is designed as a stomach band so as to be unnoticeable to others when outer clothes are worn; the size was minimized and attached to underwear to facilitate use everywhere at any time. A current problem is the limitation of minimizing, but as battery technology is further developed, we can anticipate much smaller devices. The development of aforementioned smartwear function will increase women's choices in occupations and general improvement in quality of life.

본 연구는 중국의 상하이와 광저우에 거주하는 소비자들을 대상으로 성별에 따라 모바일커머스를 수용하는데 영향을 미치는 요인이 무엇이며, 남녀 간 어떠한 차이를 보이는지를 분석하였다. 연구모형은 기존의 합리적 행동이론(TRA), 계획된 행동이론(TPB), 기술수용이론(TAM), 통합기술수용이론(UTAUT) 등과 이후 연구된 후속연구들을 참고한 후 모바일기기의의 속성 중 개별성 및 개인성이 중요하다고 판단하여 감성요인들 위주로 선별하여 설계하였다. 분석결과는 중국 소비자의 모바일커머스 수용의도에 영향을 미치는 요인으로서 지각된 위험, 개인의 혁신성, 모바일기기에 대한 친밀성, 사회적 영향이 모두 통계적으로 유의한 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났으며, 남녀 집단 간의 차이는 여성이 남성에 비해 지각된 위험, 사회적 영향에 더 민감하게 영향을 받는 것으로 나타났으며, 남성은 모바일기기의 친밀감과 개인의 혁신성에서 유의적인 것으로 나타났다. 이와 같은 연구의 결과는 중국의 소비자에게 있어서 모바일기기가 갖는 개별적이고 개인적 속성으로 인해 어떤 다른 쇼핑채널에서 보다 감성적 요인이 중요하게 작용한다는 것을 의미하는 것이며, 시장세분화의 기본요소로서 남녀 집단 간 차이의 결과는 모바일커머스의 운영에 있어서도 남녀 소비자에게 개별적이고 차별화된 마케팅전략의 수립이 필요하다는 것을 시사하고 있다.

This study aims to investigate the child patients' space use and behavior with its focus on the rest and play activities. The structural observation method followed by literature review adapted to find out the commonality and difference of play activities among the age groups. Children's development and types of play activities and participation in activities were reviewed through the related studies. Preliminary research on spatial composition and facilities and the observation of child patients' play behavior and space use was carried out as a main research. A total of 148 cases were studied and PASW 18, a statistics analysis program, was used for data analysis. The results are as follows; (1) The Lobby was important space as a play and rest area. (2) The subjects mainly played physical play and social-cognitive play. The result of this study provides fundamental data for designing children's hospitals that can contribute to the treatment and health improvement of child patients.

Decrease of children caused by economic growth, scientific and technological advancement, long life, spread of nuclear families, increase of women's entry in public affairs, etc. in modern society has given rise to aging societies as another social problem. This has resulted in the advent of problems of the aged and necessity of geriatric hospitals specializing in providing medical services for the old. Even though the geriatric hospitals currently operated are mainly used by aged persons, however, their color environment has been decided, for the most pin, not in view of characteristics of the old but in view of supporting families' criteria for selection of facilities. This study intends to help geriatric hospital designers recognize importance of color environment considering characteristics of the old and select the relevant colors In designing geriatric hospitals in future to elevate remedial value and prevent accidents in space use. To this end, this study suggests problems of color environment found in surveys of the existing geriatric hospitals currently operated throughout the nation and further make some proposals for improvement.

인간과 컴퓨터 사이의 복잡한 상호작용을 지원하기 위해서는 사용자 인터페이스의 설계가 중요하다. 고객의 요구사항을 수집하고 설계하기 위하여 매우 포괄적인 다방면의 지식이 요구된다. 사용자 인터페이스 설계자는 그래픽 전문가, 요구사항 분석가, 시스템 설계자, 프로그래머, 기술 전문가, 사회 행동과학자, 그리고 업무분야에 따라서 그 분야의 전문가를 필요로 한다. 따라서 다방면의 전문성을 만족시킬 수 있는 사용자 인터페이스를 설계하기 위하여 더 많은 연구가 요구되고 있다. 본 논문에서는 필드 추상화 객체, 태스크 추상화 객체, 트랜잭션 추상화 객체, 폼 추상화 객체 등의 4단계의 가시화 기법을 제안한다. 이 모델링 단계는 사용자 인터페이스에서 가시적 응집도를 향상시켜주고, 초보 설계자도 양질의 사용자 인터페이스를 개발할 수 있도록 지원한다.
