The small and medium construction companies are facing potential EHS(Environment, Health & Safety) of major accidents to cause casualties or a financial loss and increasing social responsibility. So, they have to voluntarily accomplish the EHS management system rather than passively with regard to EHS regulation. In this study, the framework of integrated EHS management system is developed based on cloud computing, and construction companies are to materialize self-regulation EHS process of construction workplace and to standardize the total EHS business process using the developed system. The proposed system also provides risk analysis, education/control and continuous improvement for EHS tasks and users can easily access the system on the web at a low price through cloud computing service. Eventually, the integrated system contributes to the managerial improvement by minimizing economic and physical loss caused by construction accidents.

As a result of an increase in population of the Metropolitan area and a steady change of circumstances in many parts, the city is sprawling out into the suburbs. This phenomenon causes the necessity of modification of present urban plan. It is risen as a point of issue that construction systems of new railway routes and underground construction, which should be followed the new urban plan in case of inter-regional railway and regional railway. It is hard to find sufficient financial resources, nevertheless the railway improvement definitely affects regional development and improvement of social environment. Also, there is a limit to government subsidies. In this respect, it is necessary to set up a new idea about movement of existing railway routes and improvement of the equipment. This study examines the present problems of railroad construction system in urban downtown area and introduces a suitable institutional way through referring to the instances of other countries.

Noting the changes within the Singapore construction industry, fuelled by the government's 'green' initiatives in tandem with the prolonged effect of the 1997-2005 recession, this paper investigates Singapore contractors' attitudes towards environmental sustainability. Data were collected from 34 interviews with senior management of large and medium-sized general building contractors and the firms' archival records. The results show that the majority of the contractors embrace positive attitudes towards environmental sustainability. The respective contractors explicitly express their environmental drives by incorporating keywords such as 'quality', 'sustainability' and 'environmental and social benefits' into their firms' mission statements. The results also show that three environmental-related measures implemented by all contractors are: (i) stricter housekeeping procedures in construction sites; (ii) stricter wastage rates for construction materials; and (iii) greater focus on Just-In-Time delivery to minimise materials deterioration due to inappropriate site storage.

Neglected buildings for long period can seriously reduce the durability of the building due to rust in rebars and deterioration in concrete quality due to exposure to outside air, and the seriousness of suspended buildings such as safety accidents and social crimes is emerging due to poor management. In this study, various problems such as the occurrence of safety accidents were analyzed through a fact-finding survey of buildings that have not been maintained due to long-term neglect in all areas of Jeju. In order to reuse a building that has been discontinued, the safety of the building structure itself must be checked. After securing safety through durability investigation, construction should be resumed or converted into a normal building through re-purposing, dismantling, remodeling, etc.

As construction projects have been getting larger and more complex, a single individual or organization cannot have complete knowledge or the abilities to handle all matters. Collaborative practices among heterogeneous individuals, which are temporarily congregated to carry out a project, are required in order to accomplish project objectives. These organizational knowledge creation processes of project teams should be understood from the active and dynamic viewpoint of how they create information and knowledge rather than from the passive and static input-process-output sequence. To this end, agent-based modeling and simulation which is built from the ground-up perspective can provide the most appropriate way to systematically investigate them. In this paper, agent-based modeling and simulation as a research method and a medium for representing theory is introduced. To illustrate, an agent-based simulation of the evolution of collaboration in large-scale project teams from a game theory and social network perspective is presented.

The relevance of the research topic lies in the necessity to use social networks as innovative tools of marketing communications. A wide audience and the ability to segment the market for a specific consumer determine the construction of a corporate strategy, which will be based on using the social networking approach. The spread of the global coronavirus pandemic has led to the rapid development of remote communication channels between the company and the customer. The issue of using marketing tools in social networks acquires the most urgent importance in the modern world of the introduction and implementation of the company's marketing strategies. The purpose of the academic paper is to study the use of social networks as features of implementing the marketing campaign. Social networks are the result of the development of digital technologies and the processes of creating an information society involved in the digital space. The objectives of the research are to analyse the opportunity of using social networks as a tool for marketing communications and their implementation at the level of its widespread use by enterprises and establishments. It is significant to create an advertising campaign by defining the target audience and outlining the key aspects, on which the company is focused. The research methodology consists in determining the theoretical and methodological approaches to the essence of introducing social networks and their practical importance in the implementation of marketing activities of companies. The obtained results can significantly improve the quality of functioning of modern enterprises and organizations that plan to master a new market segment or gain competitive advantages in the existing one. The academic paper examines the essence of social networks as a tool of marketing communications. The key principles of the development of digital social platforms were revealed. The quality of implementing the advertising campaign in the social network was studied, and further prospects for the development of using social networks as a component of the marketing strategy were outlined. Therefore, the academic paper analyses the problems of using social networks as a marketing tool.

Owing to the deregulation, low interest, sufficient liquidity and etc., the real estate market has been recovered in some areas and some investment products to the degree being concerned about the overheating. In order that the construction and real estate industries, which play the considerable role in our economy, may be soundly grown toward contribution of the stable growth of our economy, it is being requested to acquire the transparency, predictability and trade stability of the international level conforming to the deregulation during the sale in lots of the building. For this reason, keeping pace with the trend of the construction industry and the current of the society, which are more and more large-scaled and globalized, it will be necessary to solve the social matters and to construct the more efficient and continuous construction management by widening and activating the field of CM through scheme of more specialized, sustainable and general CM method and establishment of new business bounded system in the construction management.

This study empirically examines how much effect levels of fatigue and stress of a construction worker have on disaster risks from the perspective of human factors concerning construction disaster risks. To achieve the purpose of this study, a survey was conducted with respect to construction workers working at large construction sites within the metropolitan area. The retrieved survey data were analyzed by using the statistical software programs, SPSS 18.0 and AMOS 8.0. The results of this study do not definitively lead to the conclusion that the level of fatigue or stress of construction workers result in disaster risks. However, it does show that the results vary depending upon the individual approach and treatment of stress and fatigue. In particular, this study revealed that disaster risk levels could increase through unsafe behavior intentions which were established as a mediator variable. Also, with respect to unsafe behavior intentions of construction workers leading to disaster risks, when examining the results that the level of mental fatigue, occupational stress and social-psychological stress of construction workers had a greater significant effect than the level of physical fatigue, this study demonstrates the importance of psychological and mental issues that could be easily overlooked with respect manual labor workers.

Construction waste is given a great deal of weight on the total waste. Because of many reconstructions, urban redevelopment projects and dismantlement of dilapidated building, construction waste that generated by dismantlement is having a great effect on total construction waste. Problems about waste treatment are increasing along with an amount of construction waste. Therefore, environmental problems that related to waste treatment become a social issue recently and problems about waste treatment are confronted with a major subject. A study focuses on giving solutions to treat construction waste through quantitative analysis of the problems about waste treatment.

Delays in completing construction projects have significant financial and social impact to all parties involved in the construction process and in particular in developing countries. This is very evident in most construction projects in Libya and in both public and private sectors. The research study was initiated by Libyan Government and the main aim of the project is to develop a new strategy in reducing the impact of delay factors. In order to achieve this, a number of objectives have been set-to conduct a comprehensive literature survey, to conduct a comparative study of the delay factors in project completion in both Libya and UK using semi structured questionnaire and finally, to identify and analyse the causes of delay and ranked them using frequency of occurrence and severity. The critical causes of delay for construction projects were quite different between Libya and UK. For the former, the most critical causes of delay in Libyan construction industry were low skills of manpower, changes in the scope of the project, slowness in giving instruction and poor qualification of consultant, while for the latter they were financial problems, bad weather conditions on the job site and change in the scope of project. Statistical experiments including Paired Samples T-Test, was run to test the significance of the survey data in both countries Libya and UK. The statistical results confirmed the collected data from the survey were significant.
