아동의 개인 및 가족 변인과 교실의 심리사회적 환경이 유능감에 미치는 영향 (Individual and Family Variables and Classroom Environment that Affect Children's Perceived Competency)

  • This study examined different individual, family factors and classroom environment that affect children's perceived competency. For an analysis, achievement motivation, intrinsic locus of control and anxiety were included in individual variables. For family factors, parental support and marital conflict were examined. For classroom psycho-social environment, teacher support, peer relations, classroom involvement and teacher control were used. The sample consisted of 565 fifth and sixth grade children. Statistics and methods used for the data analysis were Cronbach's alpha, Factor analysis, frequency, percentage, t-test, Pearson's correlation, and Hierarchical Regression. Several major results were found from the analysis. First, boy's perceived academic competency was higher than girl's. And no sex difference was in children's social and athletic competency. Second, boy's and girl's perceived academic and social competency and boy's perceived athletic competency had a positive correlation with achievement motivation, intrinsic locus of control, parental support, teacher support, peer relations and classroom involvement. And girl's perceived athletic competency had a positive correlation with achievement motivation, intrinsic locus of control, parental support and peer relations. But boy's and girl's perceived academic and social competency and boy's perceived athletic competency had a negative correlation with anxiety and parental marital conflict. Third, the most important variable predicting boy's and girl's perceived academic competency was achievement motivation. The most important variable predicting boy's and girl's perceived social competency was peer relations. And the most important variable predicting boy's perceived athletic competency was peer relations. On the other hand, the most important variable predicting girl's perceived athletic competency was father's support.

주부 우울에 영향을 미치는 요인들에 관한 비교연구 (A Comparative Study of Influencing Factors on Depression in Housewives)

  • 이 연구의 목적은 주부들이 경험하는 우울의 정도를 알아보고, 그들의 우울에 영향을 미치는 요인을 종합적으로 비교 분석해 보는 것이다. 특히 주부의 발달단계에 따라 우울의 정도와 우울에 영향을 미치는 요인들이 어떻게 달라지는가에 연구의 초점을 두었다. 서울, 부산, 창원, 마산에 거주하는 20 30대 성년주부와 40 50대 중년주부 총 272명을 대상으로 한 설문조사 분석결과, 주부들이 평균적으로 가벼운 기분장애에 해당되는 우울을 경험하고 있음이 나타나 그들의 정신건강 상태의 심각성을 보여주었다. 이러한 우울상태는 여러 연구들이 주장한 것처럼 중년주부가 성년주부보다 심각한 것은 아니었다. 그러나 우울에 영향을 미치는 요인은 주부의 발달단계에 따라 달리 나타났다. Stepwise multiple regression 분석결과 성년주부의 우울을 설명하고 예측하는 요인은 자존감, 배우자와의 갈등, 충격적 사건경험, 나이, 자녀와의 갈등으로 나타난 반면, 중년주부의 우울을 설명하고 예측하는 요인으로는 자존감, 배우자와의 갈등, 직업, 월수입으로 나타났다. 연구결과를 바탕으로 우울한 주부들을 위한 사회사업개입 방안이 논의되었다.

  • 상류지역과 하류지역간 갈등은 우리나라의 대표적인 사회적 갈등이자 물갈등에 해당하는 사례로 이해당사자들에게는 재산권 침해와 수질보전 및 이용이라는 이념과 이익을 기반으로 경제적, 환경적 측면에서 이해관계가 첨예한 문제이다. 그러나 각 지역에서 느끼는 경제적 피해 및 편익에 대한 연구는 미흡한 실정이며 각 지역의 주장에만 근거하고 있어 갈등해결을 위한 방안을 도출하는데 어려움에 직면하고 있다. 본 연구에서는 우리나라의 주요한 물갈등의 하나인 상수원보호구역을 대상으로 상류지역의 재산권제약으로 인한 사회적 손실과 수질보전으로 인한 하류지역의 사회적 편익을 비교하여 상수원보호구역의 타당성을 검증하고 갈등해결을 위한 유역통합물관리 정책을 제언하였다.

한국 계층갈등의 지형과 공감사회: 코로나 시대의 극복방안 (Class Conflict and Empathetic Society in Korea: Crisis Management in the COVID-19 Era)

  • 본 연구에서는 한국사회의 계층갈등의 지형을 규명하고 불평등의 전개양상에 대한 체계적인 분석을 통해 공감사회에 관한 틀을 마련함으로써 코로나 시대의 극복방안을 제시하고자 한다. 분석결과, 계층에 대한 객관적 차원뿐만 아니라 주관적 차원인 삶에 대한 만족도와 계층의식은 비례하며, 계층적 지위일치의 구성은 양극화를 보여준다. 왜곡된 분배구조와 사회가치에 의해 소득 및 자산격차가 심화되고 있으며 교육격차와 계층의 구조화로 사회이동의 가능성을 굴절시키고 있는 것이다. 이러한 문제는 기회균등이나 제도적 공정성만으로는 치유하기 어려우며, 문화적 가치체계에 대한 냉철한 진단과 과감한 개혁이 필요하다. 코로나 위기극복과정을 통해 과거로 회귀하는 것은 옳지 않으며 잘못된 의식과 관행을 바로 잡아 국가와 사회구성원의 정합성을 재정립해야 한다. 나이가 경제와 글로벌 및 디지털 차원의 혁신과정을 통해 국가발전보다 사회발전을 우선시하고 구성원의 삶 자체를 중시하는 뉴 노멀 시대의 대전환이 요구된다. 갈등해결의 지속성은 사회적 토대로서 공동체에 관한 연대의식에 달려 있으며, 사회구성원의 신뢰와 소통에 바탕을 두는 공감사회가 필요하기 때문이다.

저소득 가정과 일반 가정 아동의 우울성향에 대한 부모간 갈등과 양육행동의 영향 (The Relationship between Parents' Conflict and Child-Rearing and School-Aged Children's Depression in Low Income Family and Non-Low Income Family)

  • The purpose of this study was to investigate the relationship between parents' conflict and child-rearing and school-aged children's depression in low income family and non-low income family. The subjects were 357 school-aged children who attended elementary school and who were 5th 176(49.3%) and 6th grade 181(50.7%)(boys were 206(57.7%), girls 151(42.3%)). The data were analyzed by t-test, Pearson's correlation, simple regression, enter regression(using SPSS 12.1). Major findings were as follows: (1) Parents' conflict was significantly associated with children's depression in low income and non-low income family. (2) Parents' conflict was significantly associated with parents' child-rearing in low income and non-low income family. (3) Parents' conflict partially exerted indirect effect on children's depression, controlled by parents' child-rearing in low income and non-low income family. The effect of parents' child-rearing as mediation was higher in low-income family than in non-low income family.

유튜브에서 다루어지는 갈등은 무엇인가?: 갈등 관련 유튜브 콘텐츠에 대한 토픽모델링 (What are the Conflicts Covered on YouTube?: Topic Modeling of Conflict-related YouTube Contents)

  • 이 연구는 갈등 관련 유튜브 콘텐츠를 중심으로 유튜브 공간의 특성을 규명하는 데 목적이 있다. 2012년부터 2022년까지 유튜브에 게재된 갈등 관련 콘텐츠를 수집하고 토픽모델링 분석을 통해 주요 내용과 특성을 파악했다. 분석 결과, 갈등 관련 유튜브 콘텐츠는 사회 구조적 갈등에 대한 뉴스 보도와 가족 내 갈등을 다룬 방송 프로그램 위주로 구성되어 있었다. 이러한 결과는 유튜브 공간이 갈등 관련 문제에 대한 공론장으로 활용될 수 있다는 기대보다는 기존 방송 콘텐츠의 수익 창출 수단으로 기능하리라는 우려를 하게 만든다. 앞으로 우리 사회가 유튜브를 어떻게 활용할지에 대한 깊이 있는 논의가 필요한 시점이다.

부부갈등과 유아의 기질 및 정서조절능력이 유아의 문제행동에 미치는 영향 (Problem Behavior of Preschool Children : The Influence of Marital Conflict and of Children's Temperament and Emotion Regulation)

  • In this study of the influence of marital conflict and of children's temperament and emotion regulation on problem behavior, 194 mothers of 3- to 5-year-old children responded to the O'Leary- Poter Scale(1980), the Emotionality, Activity and Shyness scale(Buss & Plomin, 1984) and the Emotion Regulation Checklist(Shields & Cicchetti, 1997); teachers rated children's behavior on the Problem Behavior Questionnaire(Behar & Stringfield, 1974). Data were analyzed by independent t-tests, correlations, and multiple regressions. Results demonstrated that shyness, activity, and emotion regulation had direct effects on hostile-aggressive behaviors. Shy temperament had a direct effect on fearful-anxious behavior. Both marital conflict and temperament influenced hostile-aggressive behaviors indirectly through emotion regulation, implying a crucial role of emotion regulation in preschoolers' social development.

스트레스 상황에 대한 지각된 통제감과 아동의 스트레스 대처행동 (The Perceived Controllability of Stress Situations and Children's Coping with Hassles)

  • This study investigated characteristics of children's coping behaviors in the context of perceived controllability of stress in hassles with parent(s), friend-alienation, friend-conflict, and in learning situations. The subjects were 489 sixth grade children selected from seven elementary schools in Seoul. Statistical analysis was by ANOVA, Scheffe' test, and MANOVA. Major findings were that (1) Active, passive, aggressive, and avoidant coping differed by perceived controllability of stress in all 4 stress situations. The children who perceived a higher level of controllability were more active, and less passive, aggressive, and avoidant in coping with each hassle. (2) Perceived controllability was higher in learning related than in friend-conflict situations. Active, passive, and social support seeking coping behavior was higher in learning related stress situations than in friend-conflict situations. Avoidant coping behavior was lower in learning related than in friend-conflict situations.

대물 다툼 상황에서 2세아의 또래 갈등 과정 분석 (Processes in Peer conflicts of Two-Year-Olds: Disputes over Objects)

  • This study investigated interactions of two-year-old toddlers in peer conflicts caused by disputes over objects. Thirty pairs of same-gender peers were recruited from 10 child care centers. The age of these toddlers ranged from 24 to 36 months. The data were collected by experimental observation. The interaction processes between the pairs of subjects were recorded by video camera. 24 pairs displayed peer conflict over objects. The data were analyzed qualitatively and quantitatively employing content analysis and the SPSSW in 6.0. Major findings showed that when the toddler was in conflict with a peer for toys, (1) he or she interacted actively with the other child, employing both non-verbal and verbal strategies to resolve the conflict; (2) behaviors and statements reflected an egocentric tendency; (3) they recognized ownership of toys; and (4) he or she employed some prosocial strategies which could provide a basis for developing social skills in a conflict situations with peers.

맞벌이 가구와 남성홀벌이 가구 부모의 양육스트레스 연구 : 부부관계와 아버지 양육참여의 상호작용 효과 분석 (Parenting Stress among Dual- and Single-Earner Families : The Interaction Effect of Marital Relationship and Father's Child-Rearing Involvement on the Parenting Stress)

  • Objectives: This study aims to investigate the effect of marital relationship on parenting stress among dual- and single-earner families. In particular, this study focuses on the interaction effect of marital relationship and father's child-rearing involvement on the parenting stress. To access factors associated with parenting stress, we included marital satisfaction and marital conflict as the dimensions of marital relationship in this study. Method: We employed data from the 5th wave of the Panel Study of Korean Children(PSKC) data. Our analysis sample consisted of 1,515 parents having at least one child aged under 4 years. Also, this study conducted descriptive statistics and multiple regression analysis. Results: First of all, marital satisfaction and marital conflict were significantly related to parenting stress for both mother and father in dual-earner families. While both indicators were significantly related to parenting stress for father, marital conflict only was a significant predictor for mother in single-earner families. Second, father involvement was a significant predictor for parenting stress for father in both dual- and single-earner families. Third, interaction effects were found between father involvement and marital conflict in the dual-earner families and between father involvement and marital satisfaction in the single-earner families. Conclusions: Based on the results, we recommended programs designed to enhance father's child-rearing involvement such as parenting education and community-based campaign. In addition, we recommended that policy and practice need to identify marital relationship dynamics to promote father's involvement and to reduce marital conflict in both dual- and single-earner families accordingly.
