  • Elementary School is a special facility where sense of place plays critical role for the development of children. Children in special education call for special attention as they hold inferior status compared to the children in regular class especially under the inclusive education policy. Eight cases of special education class area are analyzed in terms of social space, personal space and favorite place which is known to be basic factor for the development. As a result outdoor space found to be designed inappropriate even when designed accessible to the special education class as it could not meet the developmental needs of children in special education. Special education class area inside the building is also found to be too exclusive to allow social mix with children in regular class disregarding the intention of inclusive education. Location of these class should be strategic as it is critical to be linked with regular classroom efficiently still allowing psychological buffer as the children in special education tend to form restorative space inside the special education classroom showing the possibility of creating sense of place there.

  • This study was designed to measure the difference in health-related quality of life (HRQOL) among social classes and explore the factors that may explain it. Study subjects were 7,992 Korean adults aged 20-69 from the 4th (2007-2009) Korea National Health and Nutrition Examination Surveys data. We described mean value of EQ-5D index as a HRQOL by class and performed hierarchical multiple regression analysis to find the factors. The result was as follows. In the distribution of EQ-5D index level among social classes, new middle class (class II) had the highest score (0.966 in men and 0.955 in women); upper and middle-upper class (class I) 0.965 in men and 0.936 in women; working class (class IV) 0.958 in men and 0.936 in women; old middle class (class III) 0.955 in men and 0.932 in women; low class (class VI) 0.941 in men and 0.908 in women; and rural self-management class (class V) the lowest score (0.918 in men and 0.866 in women). In men, chronic disease, job stress, education and income level were found to make the difference in the health-related quality of life among social classes; in women, those factors and health behavior explained the difference. In conclusion, the lower social class has lower HRQOL. Except for education and income level, chronic disease may be the major factor to explain the difference in the health-related quality of life among social classes.

As for collected data, the statistical package SPSS 18.0 Version was used for factor analysis, frequency analysis, reliability test, one-way ANOVA, Chi-Square test, Scheffe-test, correlations analysis and multiple regression analysis. LOHAS class was divided into three groups (higher, middle and lower) based on LOHAS index. • Purpose : This study is aimed to evaluate the position of mandibular foramen of mandibula prognathism patients using 3-dimensional CT images in order to reduce the chance of an anesthetic failure of the mandibular nerve and to prevent the damage to the inferior alveolar nerve during the orthognathic surgery. Materials and Methods : The control group consist of 30 patients with class I occlusion. The experimental group consist of 44 patients with class III malocclusion. Three-dimensional computed tomography was used to evaluate the position of the mandibular foramina. Results : The distance between mandibular plane and mandibular foramen, class I was 25.385 mm, class III was 23.628 mm. About the distance between occlusal plane and mandibular foramen, class I was 1.478 mm, class III was 5.144 mm. The distance between posterior border plan of mandibular ramus and mandibular foramen had not statistically significant. About the distance between sagittal plane of mandible and mandibular foramen did not also showed statistically significant. Conclusion : The result of this study could help the clinicians to apprehend more accurate anatomical locations of the foramina on the mandible with various facial skeletal types. thereby to perform more accurate block anesthesia of the mandibular nerve and osteotomy with minimal nerve damage. In addition, this study could provide fundamental data for any related researches about the location of the mandibular foramina for other purposes.

  • The stdy of this study is to explore whether there is a social class difference in the relationship of mother and daughter-in-laws. The findings and summarized as follows. in the upper class the relationship of mother and daughter-in-laws seems 'fictitious one' In the middle class when her husband's occupation status is higher than his father's the relationship of mother and daughter-in-laws seems 'the relationship which is trobultesome only on daughter-in-law's behalf. When her husbands' occupation status is similar to his father's and her family is living together with in-laws and she and her mother-in=law are housewives the relationship of mother and daughter-in-laws seems 'the troublesome relationship for the both parts of mother and daughter-in-laws' In the same situation as above except the fact that the mother-in-law is housewife and daughter-in-law working the relationship between mother and daugther-in-laws seems apper to be 'interdependence' When her husband is self- mployed the daughter-in-laws keeps the interdepen-dent relationship with the mother-in-law. In the low class the relationship of mother and daughter-in-laws seems 'neglect' or 'conflicting'.

A survey was conducted from Feb. 2 to 17, 2013 and a total of 410 responses were analyzed using SPSS 18.0. The results of this study are described below. First, evaluation criteria for natural cosmetics had four dimensions - practical, aesthetic, promotional, and social criteria. Third, for the upper and middle LOHAS classes, purchase intentions were influenced by practical criteria. However, evaluation criteria had no effect for the lower LOHAS class. Fourth, the upper LOHAS class considered practical criteria, the middle LOHAS class considered practical and social criteria, and the lower LOHAS class considered aesthetic criteria, As a result, word-of-mouth intentions were influenced by evaluation criteria for natural cosmetics.

  • The conventional framework of welfare politics, based on class concepts, tends to fail in explaining the recent social changes. Theoretical response from the social science diverges into two blocs. One is the postmodernist approach that denies possibility of structural cleavage; the other is the alternative trial that seeks to find various kinds of cleavages. The former approach is to be rejected because there is few empirical supports for it. The latter is too sparse to be applied to the studies of welfare politics that requires a comprehensive analysis. This study starts from critical investigation of such approaches, aiming at providing a theoretical framework that combines merits of existing studies on welfare politics. The theoretical framework of three statuses of welfare rights and duties, which is to be presented as an alternative to the conventional class counterpart, does not only underscore the expansion of welfare rights but also the burden of welfare duties. Hence, it can comprehensively subsume complex existence of interest cleavages of welfare politics. To make a long story short, individual interest, related to the welfare state, will effect individual attitudes toward the welfare state and their ways of political support.

  • This study explored what latent classes appear according to the combination of Belief in a Just World (BJW) and social class of middle-aged adults, and examined whether there are differences in career transiton, perceiving a calling, and working as meaning in each class and what characteristics they have. 224 middle-aged people who experienced turnover through online and offline were surveyed and analyzed by Latent Profile Analysis. The participants were divided into 5 latent classes such as; 'Relative self-satisfaction', 'Social contentment', 'Relative deprived', 'Fairness trust' and 'Fairness distrust'. According to the results of MANOVA analysis to figure out if there are differences in career transitions, perceiving a calling, and working as meaning depending on latent classes, significant differences were appeared among latent classes. Finally, multinominal logistic regression analysis was conducted to examine whether demographic characteristics and 'decent work' affect the latent group classification. As a result, the more 'decent work', the higher the probability of belonging to the class with high BJW and social class. On the basis of the results of this study, the implications on the case conceptualization and counseling strategy for adults focusing on BJW and Social class in adults and future research were discussed.
