This case study investigated the effects of sensory integration therapy on social behaviors and feeding of children with intellectual disabilities who lack sensory processing abilities. The study was conducted done from September to December, 2016, and an ABA(two sessions, nine sessions, two sessions/total 13 sessions) design was used among Single Subject Research Design. Nine sessions of sensory integration program were conducted for 50 minutes each, and Wilbarger's Protocol was employed 2-3 times per day. To understand children's basic development levels, observation evaluation of each area and social maturity scale were conducted in the early stage. To Understand the children's sensory processes ability, a Sensory Profile(SP) was developed, while the activities of daily living and task performance ability scale were evaluated using the Functional Independence Measure for children(WeeFIM) and Canadian Occupational Performance Measure(COPM), respectively. Search behavior and feeding, which are social behaviors of children, were evaluated through observation. The results showed that the sensory integration program improves social behaviors of children and enables them to eat. The children's feeding was stable from the 5th session after the intervention, and the search behaviors started to change from 3 weeks after the intervention and became stable after 7 weeks. These results indicate that the sensory integration program is effective in mediating difficulties that children with intellectual disabilities who lack sensory processing ability experience in daily living.

This study is to suggest ways to overcome the social exclusion experienced by migrants in Korean society and achieve social integration, focusing on the fact that social exclusion continues in many fields along with the increasing number of migrants. The research results are as follows. First, the legal system related to migrants must be enacted and revised. As the number of migrants increases, various legal and institutional enactments as well as reorganization of related laws are inevitable. Immigrants should be allowed to overcome social exclusion so that their cultural uniqueness and value are recognized and preserved, and they are given the same qualifications and abilities as the residents. Second, migrants' political participation must be guaranteed. When the political participation of migrants, which is currently only open to a small part, is guaranteed, Korean society can be seen as progressing one step toward a multicultural society. Third, residents and migrants must coexist. As a premise of this, it is necessary to prepare a ground where social exclusion can be overcome so that migrants can coexist. Immigrants should be able to develop a relationship of coexistence in the reality that social exclusion is progressing in each field compared to permanent residents. In conclusion, in order for the increasing number of immigrants to settle in Korean society, social integration can be achieved only when social exclusion imposed on immigrants is overcome.

This study aims to explore the possibilities of social integration focused on the inclusionary housing scheme developed in the United States. Inclusionary housing is produced by inclusionary zoning with planning power. One of the main goals of developing inclusionary housing is to achieve social integration in neighborhoods. The author investigates the origin, evolution, characteristics, and mechanism of the inclusionary housing scheme in the United States. Results show that the inclusionary housing scheme utilizes market mechanism such as the incentives of floor ratio bonus, fast tract permit approach as well as the affordability obligation for the low-income households. Considering the policy orientation in the United States toward market mechanism, the inclusionary housing program has played a significant role in producing and preserving affordable housing for the underprivileged in affluent neighborhoods and has produced meaningful results in academic achievements, better job outcomes, health results, and social interaction even though it has been also criticized with by its superficiality. Finally, the author draws policy implications for housing policy in Korea from the lessons and limitations of the inclusionary housing mechanism.

The purpose of this study is to find out an effective way for students with developmental disabilities to use smartphone applications as a social real life tools in a society. For the purpose of this study, the researcher reviewed relevant previous literature on topics such as "students with developmental disabilities, information society, use of smartphone, and application use". The results of this study are as follows. First, the researcher describes strategies to support students with developmental disabilities living in an information society to improve their social integration ability by using smartphone. Second, it describes the types of smartphone applications that could support the social real life of students with developmental disabilities. Third, it describes the needs of smartphone applications to improve social adaptability of students with developmental disabilities. The results of this study will lead students with developmental disabilities to learn and use various functions of smartphone in the information society to interact with people around them and improve their communication skills. In addition, the results can be used as basic data to develop and support appropriate applications that can help vocational rehabilitation and social integration of students with developmental disabilities.

Amongst society's transitional presuppositions towards the future, population aging is the most critical issue in Korea. Immediate attention to devise a countermove is required. One of the major trends appeared in retirement communities of advanced countries is social integration which has been considered as a promising future direction of elderly housing development. This study aims to find out social integration characteristics and to categorize local engagement types of recent retirement communities through the characteristics of sharing common facilities and programs. Data were collected through mainly web site and literature reviews. Contentent analysis technique was used. Ten CCRC cases were selected through web search using the major key words such as 'intergenerational'. As a result, community engagement types were classified into six categories by the degree of sharing both physical and program resources between the retirement community and local area. This type can be utilized to develop alternative housing and retirement community for the older adults as a new model which activates the resident and vitalizes the retirement community through local engagement by physical and social resources.

This paper is built upon an attempt to answer the question: "What can be done to facilitate social integration between the elderly of Bagac, Bataan and the communication students of St. Paul University Manila?" The research was designed as a qualitative inquiry that involved an outreach activity by 24 dominantly female students of Development Communication to the senior citizens of Bagac, Bataan (Philippines) and a reflection period involving the students. The students were tasked to pay special attention to the digital engagements and/or disengagements of the elderly to allow them to learn more about the difficulties and potential of using social media in development-related projects involving senior citizens. The actual two-hour encounter involved socialization between the elderly and the students. The students, prior to the encounter, were tasked to generate the funds, use them to acquire and prepare the gifts, develop the program during the actual encounter based on research-based guidelines, and photo document the entire activity. They were given guide questions for reflections a week after. The reflections were thematically analyzed and revealed that in order to facilitate greater social integration between the elderly and the communication students. The university should address the health and digital aversion issues that intensify the sense of isolation of the elderly experience daily. This can be done by enhancing the communication skills of the communication students in 16 areas.

Recently, as the number of foreigners residing in Korea has increased, Korea is preparing to enter a multicultural country. This study was conducted to present a social integration model for the purpose of solving the social problem of social integration of multicultural families. The purpose of this study is as follows. First, this study examines the role of local social capital for social integration by improving the quality of life of multicultural families and increasing their intention to participate in society. Second, the purpose of this study is to examine the effects of multicultural family members on the formation of local social capital, subjective quality of life and social participation intention, focusing on the role of social enterprises. To achieve the purpose of this study, members of multicultural families living in Seoul and Gyeonggi Province were selected as samples, and responses to local social capital, subjective quality of life, social participation intention and social identity were collected through structured questionnaires. A total of 363 valid questionnaires were tested for the relationship between variables through the structural equation model. The analysis result of this study is that first, human social capital and corporate social capital of members of multicultural families have a significant positive effect on subjective quality of life. Second, it was found that the corporate social capital and community social capital of members of multicultural families had a significant positive effect on the intention to participate in society. Third, it was found that the subjective quality of life of members of multicultural families did not significantly affect their intention to participate in society. Finally, it was found that social identity plays a partly controlling role when community capital of multicultural family members affects their intention to participate in society. Through this analysis result, it is expected that it will play a meaningful role as basic data for policy proposals for social integration of multicultural families.

The purpose of this study is to review recent trends and major emerging problems and explore alternatives of Korean social welfare service policies. The concerns on social welfare service are triggered by the issues of rapid getting lower birth rate and severe growing rate of old people. These concerns resulted in the expansions of social welfare services. But Korean social welfare service systems are not prepared for these expansions. Presenting problems are disconnection between state and local governments, not securing minimum standards on accessibility and service provision, excessive concerns on making caring jobs and lacking in securing of safety and rights of vulnerable service users. As alternatives, this study proposes the integration of market approaches which can facilitate service user's choice and anti-market schemes which could act against the negative effects of market approaches.

Rural amenity resources consist of natural, cultural and social resources. Some of resources have been surveyed in other institutes and organizations and information system about these resources has been constructed. Integrating with information of existing system or database is helpful to produce useful rural amenity resources information to users. This integration of distributed information is based on semantic integration. In this paper, we used ontology for semantic integration and introduced the method of external information integration using ontology. We designed ontology table to represent ontology in database and integrated distributed information using ontology. To examine the improvement of information service efficiency and the applicability, rural amenity resources information and tourist attraction information database were constructed and integrated. Also, the information service efficiency with information integration was evaluated using recall ratio and compared to the information service efficiency without information integration.

본 연구의 주목적은 청소년들의 부적응 행동과 자아존중감 간의 관계를 규명하고, 자아존중감과 부적응 행동 간의 관계에서 부애착과 모 애착의 조절효과를 검증하고,자료분석을 위해 SPSS win18.0 프로그램을 활용하여, 기술통계(descriptive statistics)분석, 단순상관관계 분석을 실시한 후 본 연구의 주 목적인 상호작용모형을 알아보기 위하여 위계적 중다회귀분석(Multiple Moderating Regression Analysis)을 실시하였다.
