  • The globalization through sport has its own positive point, because its speed can proceed faster than the other area. For twenty-five years long Soccer has influenced people all of the world not only as a role of the most enjoyable sport, but also as a role of the most important position in politics, economics and social fields. Moreover, soccer has comprised transcendentally within region, race and nation which has made a big market share in leisure industry. By completing this research, the Sport Exhibition should be defined innovatively as a place that enables people actively to develop their creativity. Some of overseas sport exhibitions were selected as a sample in this study, such as The National Football Museum in England, Cornilon Nord Saint Denis in France and Sir Matt Busby Way Old Trafford Manchestrer Ml6 ORA in England, which produced an experience based exhibition. Here this study is purposed to establish, efficiently, the history of korean soccer and FIFA Worldcup as a part of construction for 2002 FIFA Worldcup exhibition and to define its conceptional characteristics composition of planning and schematic design than to play a role as basic study of architectural space.

  • In this paper, we propose a new method to the speed control of soccer robot using messy Genetic Algorithm(mGA). In order to arrive in the target of the soccer robot within the smallest time ,we propose the speed control function with several parameters which represent the reflection ratio distance and angle error. Also, we propose the algorithm for searching these parameters by using messy Genetic Algorithm. As a result of finding the optimal parameters, we can move the robot the most quickly in the target under the complex environment.

  • In this paper, we develop an algorithm of soccer image sequences mosaicing using reverse affine transform. The continuous mosaic images of soccer ground field allows the user/viewer to view a “wide picture” of the player’s actions The first step of our algorithm is to automatic detection and tracking player, ball and some lines such as center circle, sideline, penalty line and so on. For this purpose, we use the ground field extraction algorithm using color information and player and line detection algorithm using four P-rules and two L-rules. The second step is Affine transform to map the points from image to model coordinate using predefined and pre-detected four points. General Affine transformation has many holes in target image. In order to delete these holes, we use reverse Affine transform. We tested our method in real image sequence and the experimental results are given.

  • Robot soccer is a challenging research area in which multiple robots collaborate in adversarial environment to achieve specific objectives. We designed and built the robotic agents for robot soccer, especially MIROSOT. We have been developing the appropriate vision algorithm, algorithm for ball tracking and prediction, algorithms for collaboration between the robots in an uncertain dynamic environment. In this work we focus on the development of ball tracking and prediction algorithm using Kalman filter. Robustness and feasibility of the proposed algorithm is demonstrated by simulation.

A Study on the Distribution of Trampling Frequency on the Athletic Turf of a Soccer Field (축구경기장 잔디의 답압류도분포에 관한 연구)

  • In this study, the distribution of players on a soccer field was investigated with slide -photos in order to suggest a basic data for the athletic turf maintenance and construction. The results of this investigation may be summarized as follows. 1) There's a tendency that trampling frequency per grid (32.23m$^2$)of a soccer field gradually increases from the corner area to the center. Especially the area around goal and center-circle get the highest frequency. 2) Trampling numbers per grid show the similar tendency to trampling fequency. And the grid around the goal get the highest trampling number per grid.(6.52 times/32.23m$^2$). 3) The extent of the damage to the athletic turf per grid also show the similar tendency to the foregoing results. Under such extent of the damage to the athletic turf as these, the method of the turf maintenance and construction will be made.

  • This paper presents an evolvable cooperation strategy based on a genetic programming for the interactive robot soccer game. The interactive robot soccer game has been developed to allow a person to join in the game dynamically and to reinforce entertainment characteristics.   • This study explores one of charity drive contents on YouTube channel. Due to the advance of science and technology, ordinary people come to make their own video content online, usually via YouTube. YouTube becomes number one online video storage/streaming platform, and many people upload their own video and they get attention and fame. This study analyzes various aspects of Shoot for Love, soccer-based charity drive videos shown on YouTube channel created in South Korea. Unlike popular videos in YouTube, Shoot for Love centers on charity by casting popular soccer players and celebrities. Especially, this study researches 1) Components 2) Traits of Components 3) Contents of Components in Shoot for Love. Throughout this, it not only analyzes unique aspects of Shoot for Love that show how and why YouTube content matters, but also suggest plausible methods to drive charity and institution are suggested that appeal to the public.

Influence of Transcranial Direct Current Stimulation on Lower Limb Muscle Activation and Balance Ability in Soccer Player

  • Purpose: This study is to investigate influence of tDCS on lower limb muscle activity and balance ability in soccer player. Methods: Sessions were conducted with 15 subjects in tDCS group and 15 in action observation training group for 20 minutes, 5 sessions a week, for 8 weeks. All soccer players underwent 30 minutes of plyometric training before main exercise. To evaluate lower limb muscle activation, rectus femoris and biceps femoris were taken measure using surface electromyogram system and to evaluate balance ability, surface area, whole path length, limited of stability were measured using biorescue. Results: Regarding balance shown in surface area, whole path length, limited of stability and muscle activation in rectus femoris and biceps femoris, tDCS group showed more significant change than action bservation training group. Conclusion: Therefore, intervention using tDCS is more effective in improving lower limb muscle activation and balance ability than action observation training.

  • A fully automatic and computationally efficient method is proposed for intelligent display of soccer video on small multimedia mobile devices. The rapid progress of the multimedia signal processing has contributed to the extensive use of multimedia devices with a small LCD panel. With these emerging small mobile devices, the video sequences captured for standard- or HDTV broadcasting may give the small-display-viewers uncomfortable experiences in understanding what is happening in a scene. For instance, in a soccer video sequence taken by a long-shot camera technique, the tiny objects (e.g., soccer ball and players) may not be clearly viewed on the small LCD panel. Thus, an intelligent display technique is needed for small-display-viewers. To this end, one of the key technologies is to determine region of interest (ROI), which is a part of the scene that viewers pay more attention to than other regions. In this paper, the focus is on soccer video display for mobile devices. Instead of taking visual saliency into account, we take domain-specific approach to exploit the characteristics of the soccer video. The proposed scheme includes three modules; ground color learning, shot classification, and ROI determination. The experimental results show the propose scheme is capable of intelligent video display on mobile devices.

Effects of Acute Soccer Game on Serum Levels of Neurotrophins and Neurocognitive Functions in Male Adolescents (1회성 축구활동이 남자 청소년의 혈청 neurotrophins 수준과 신경인지 기능에 미치는 영향)

  • The purpose of the present research is to investigate the effects of acute soccer game on serum levels of neurotrophins and neurocognitive function. The subjects of the research were 15 healthy male adolescents. The subjects underwent two experiments: one experiment in the soccer game treatment (SOC) condition, and the other in the self-study treatment (CON) condition. Blood samples were collected at three times: before treatment (Pre), after treatment (Post), and 2 hours post treatment (Post-2 h) for the analyses of serum brain-derived neurotrophic factor (BDNF), nerve growth factor (NGF), and insulin-like growth factor-1 (IGF-1). For the measurements of neurocognitive functions, the Stroop Color-Word test was performed at blood collecting times. The results of the research showed that the serum levels of BDNF, NGF, and IGF-1 were significantly increased after the soccer game (p<0.05), and significantly higher in SOC than CON at Post (p<0.05). In the Stroop Color-Word test, significantly increased scores were observed in SOC at Post (p<0.05), and significantly higher in SOC than in CON at Post and Post-2 h (p<0.05). These results suggest that acute soccer game has positive effects on neurocognitive functions by increasing the neurotrophins.
