Design of Smart Plug based Media Platform interlocking with ESS (ESS 연동형 스마트 플러그 기반의 미디어 플랫폼 설계)

  • In this paper, the function design of smart media platform control with smart monitoring, and displaying modules which have the priorities of smart plug based smart outlet, is proposed for electrical suppliance of essential information appliance in emergency power consumption situation(blackout, peaktime etc). The effect of power management will be maximized by this smart gateway interlocking with ESS(energy storage system) which has bi-directional power transmission control modules, and smart outlet based on the priority control actions.

  • Media is a means for exchanging one's emotions or objective information in human society. Due to the spread of smart media due to the advent of digital media, media in modern society is not a simple means but encompasses the entire society in which humans live. It even took over the control function. Therefore, by examining the types and characteristics of media according to the service platform in which smart media is used, and building a big data hub for media based on this, new development and research directions for digital media can be explored. In this paper, we analyze various metadata generated through smart media and propose a plan for building a big data platform using it.

  • The Smart Use Interface Platform(SUIP) which is the next generation of smart phone's intelligent user interface platform researches, has a function of finding outer devices and has the dynamic loading function of the device driver. This paper introduce platform converter between smartphone and outer devices, named SUIP converter and it's applications, the SUIP converter can combines the smart phones which has Smart Use interface Platform and the Devices like sensor network devices which can be hardly connected to the smart phones.

  • A software platform for the next-generation, smart user-interface of mobile devices is described as in this paper. The proposed platform is developed to adapt new devices that may appear in the future through extending the Android platform. Dynamic loading function of software module is developed in order to download and install new software modules for the new devices. Also, platform technology for utilizing external devices to improve quality of service and dynamic switching of wireless interface to reduce power consumption of platform are developed.

  • In this paper, a smart travel service platform is proposed with PPL(Product Placement) database based on the location of TV viewer who is 's marking by smart devices. This platform is designed with the active PUSH and smart kiosk signage with video clip of LTE/beacon's places. As a result, this PPL-DB platform is inter-worked for the PPL database of category, location, product, favor with interactive tagging in pictures and videos.

  • In order to solve the urban problems caused by the increase of the urban population, the construction of smart city applying the latest technology is being carried out all over the world. In particular, we will create a smart city platform that utilizes data generated in the city to collect and store and analyze, thereby enhancing the city's continuous competitiveness and resilience and enhancing the quality of life of citizens. However, existing smart city platforms are not enough to construct a platform for smart city as a platform for solution elements such as IoT platform, big data platform, and AI platform. To complement this, we will reanalyze the existing overseas smart city platform and IoT platform in a comprehensive manner, combine the technical elements applied to it, and apply it to the future Korean smart city platform. This paper aims to investigate the trends of smart city platforms used in domestic and foreign countries and analyze the technology applied to smart city to study smart city platforms that solve various problems of the city such as environment, energy, safety, traffic, environment.

  • In this paper, high-speed Hybrid MAC (Medium Access Control layer) implementation suitable for smart grid applications is researched. MB-OFDM (Multi-Band Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiplexing) is considered for high-speed communication method in smart grid application. In this paper, the MAC adopts the distributed network managing method. Also, the MB-OFDM merit of high-speed transfer rate of up to 480Mbps must be supported. Hence, this paper presents an efficient hardware-software integration (co-design) method in order to realize a high- speed transmission, and a realizing method of distribution network. Finally, MAC performance and reliability based on MB-OFDM PHY (PHYsical layer) are confirmed through simulation and emulation.

  • We intend to improve the sustainability of rural villages by investigating the element technologies and platforms necessary for building smart villages. There are so many investment smart city platforms and solutions in many cities. but there are relatively few investments in rural or small cities. This situation can not only increase the urban problem due to the increase of population to the city, but also deepen the digital gap of citizens. So far, studies on smart village have been investigated in fragments. We will examine the cases applied to smart village as a whole and study the open smart village platform that analyzes the overall data storage and management of the village after the smart village was finally established. First, we will look at the overseas trends of smart village and second, we will study the smart village platform that efficiently manages smart village through the technology necessary for smart village.

  • 이미지 혹은 영상에 대한 자동 태깅은 해당 콘텐츠에 대한 추가적인 정보를 자동으로 시스템에 제공하는 기술로써 영상 인식, 콘텐츠 매시업, 정보 검색 등 다양한 기술/서비스 분야에서 여러 목적으로 활용되고 있다. 특히, 방송 콘텐츠는 많은 양의 정보를 제한된 영역 및 시간에 축약하여 담고 있기 때문에 영상 처리 기술을 통한 객체 인식이나, 콘텐츠 매시업, 추천 서비스 등의 성능 향상을 위해 자동 혹은 수동 태깅을 통한 정보 제공이 요구된다. 본 논문에서는 블로그를 이용한 프레임 단위의 방송 콘텐츠 태깅 기술을 제안한다. 제안하는 기술은 기존의 콘텐츠 단위의 정보 제공이나, 수동 태깅 된 정보를 제공하는 기술들과 달리, 영상의 각 프레임에 대한 자동 태깅을 목표로 한다. 제안하는 방법은 거리 학습을 통해 영상의 각 프레임이 가지는 특성을 고려한 모델을 구축한 후, 이를 토대로 영상의 프레임들과 블로그의 이미지를 매칭한다. 매칭된 결과를 기반으로 특정 블로그는 영상 내 특정 프레임 구간에 태깅 된다. 제안한 방법은 이미지 매칭 성능을 측정하여 평가하였다. 블로그 이미지에 대해 Top 1 매칭 프레임을 살펴본 결과, 70%의 정확률을 보였다. 소프트 매칭(Top n)의 경우, 최대 90%의 성능을 얻을 수 있음을 실험을 통해 알 수 있었다.
