Emotional Intelligence System for Ubiquitous Smart Foreign Language Education Based on Neural Mechanism

  • Ubiquitous learning has aroused great interest and is becoming a new way for foreign language education in today's society. However, how to increase the learners' initiative and their community cohesion is still an issue that deserves more profound research and studies. Emotional intelligence can help to detect the learner's emotional reactions online, and therefore stimulate his interest and the willingness to participate by adjusting teaching skills and creating fun experiences in learning. This is, actually the new concept of smart education. Based on the previous research, this paper concluded a neural mechanism model for analyzing the learners' emotional characteristics in ubiquitous environment, and discussed the intelligent monitoring and automatic recognition of emotions from the learners' speech signals as well as their behavior data by multi-agent system. Finally, a framework of emotional intelligence system was proposed concerning the smart foreign language education in ubiquitous learning.

  • With the advent of the 4-th industrial revolution, manufacturing companies have increasing interests in the realization of smart manufacturing by utilizing their accumulated facilities data. However, most previous research dealt with the structured data such as sensor signals, and only a little focused on the unstructured data such as text, which actually comprises a large portion of the accumulated data. Therefore, we propose an association rule mining based facility error pattern extraction framework, where text data written by operators are analyzed. Specifically, phrases were extracted and utilized as a unit for text data analysis since a word, which normally used as a unit for text data analysis, is unable to deliver the technical meanings of facility errors. Performances of the proposed framework were evaluated by addressing a real-world case, and it is expected that the productivity of manufacturing companies will be enhanced by adopting the proposed framework.

  • The federated learning can be utilized in conjunction with the blockchain technology to provide good privacy protection and reward distribution mechanism in the field of intelligent IOT in edge computing scenarios. Nonetheless, the synchronous federated learning ignores the waiting delay due to the heterogeneity of edge devices (different computing power, communication bandwidth, and dataset size). Moreover, the potential of smart contracts was not fully explored to do some flexible design. This paper investigates the fusion application based on the FLchain, which is the combination of asynchronous federated learning and blockchain, discusses the communication optimization, and explores the feasible design of smart contract to solve some problems.

  • In this study, we developed the Field-Experiential Learning Framework Using the Location Based Mobil-learning System (LBMS) and it is mobile Augmented Reality (AR) for smart learning system which is advanced e-learning. AR is technology that seamlessly overlays computer graphics on the real world. LBMS-AR has become widely available because of mobile AR. Mobile AR is possible to get information from real world anytime, anywhere. Nowadays, there are various areas using AR such as entertainment, marketing, location-based AR. We analysed the result of survey and implemented the functions. Also, for survey about application's effectiveness, we have focus group interview (FGI). Then we demonstrated and explained the application to them. The result of survey about application's effectiveness shows that application have higher utilization in education area. One of the most promising areas is education. AR in education shows lifelike images to users for realism. It's a good way for improving concentration and attention. We utilize only a beacone for image-based AR without other sensor.

  • In the near future, we can access information which we want, whenever we want, wherever we use. Because almost devices in ubiquitous environment are connected by either wired or wireless network. Especially, u-Learning emphasizing on pedagogical property is enable to improve learning abilities. As researches of the previous u-Learning. there have been learning by mobile devices such like PDAs as well as the smart classroom, which makes the remote students participate in the existing class. However, these researches have not satisfied pedagogical, cooperative and ubiquitous properties yet. Thus we suggest the framework for both local and mobile classroom, which can make the properties easy to satisfy.

  • There are many studies on red tide due to the continuous increase in damage to domestic fish and shell farms by the harmful red tide. However, there is insufficient domestic research of identifying harmful red tide algae that automatically recognizes red tide images. In this paper, we propose a red tide image classification method using deep learning based open source. To solve the problem of recognition of various images of red tide algae, the proposed method is implemented by using tensorflow framework and Google image classification model.

Finding the best suited autoencoder for reducing model complexity

  • Basically, machine learning models use input data to produce results. Sometimes, the input data is too complicated for the models to learn useful patterns. Therefore, feature engineering is a crucial data preprocessing step for constructing a proper feature set to improve the performance of such models. One of the most efficient methods for automating feature engineering is the autoencoder, which transforms the data from its original space into a latent space. However certain factors, including the datasets, the machine learning models, and the number of dimensions of the latent space (denoted by k), should be carefully considered when using the autoencoder. In this study, we design a framework to compare two data preprocessing approaches: with and without autoencoder and to observe the impact of these factors on autoencoder. We then conduct experiments using autoencoders with classifiers on popular datasets. The empirical results provide a perspective regarding the best suited autoencoder for these factors.

  • With the fast development of artificial intelligence day by day, users are demanding explanations about the results of algorithms and want to know what parameters influence the results. In this paper, we propose a model for bankruptcy prediction with interpretability using the SHAP framework. SHAP (SHAPley Additive exPlanations) is framework that gives a visualized result that can be used for explanation and interpretation of machine learning models. As a result, we can describe which features are important for the result of our deep learning model. SHAP framework Force plot result gives us top features which are mainly reflecting overall model score. Even though Fully Connected Neural Networks are a "black box" model, Shapley values help us to alleviate the "black box" problem. FCNNs perform well with complex dataset with more than 60 financial ratios. Combined with SHAP framework, we create an effective model with understandable interpretation. Bankruptcy is a rare event, then we avoid imbalanced dataset problem with the help of SMOTE. SMOTE is one of the oversampling technique that resulting synthetic samples are generated for the minority class. It uses K-nearest neighbors algorithm for line connecting method in order to producing examples. We expect our model results assist financial analysts who are interested in forecasting bankruptcy prediction of companies in detail.
