디지털 지형 고도 데이터를 이용한 자동 지형 추종 시뮬레이터 개발 (Development of Automatic Terrain Following Simulator Using Digital Terrain Elevation Data)

  • 본 논문에서는 디지털 지형 고도 데이터를 이용한 자동 지형 추종 시뮬레이터를 제안하였다. ATF Simulator는 Flight Simulator, Radar Simulator, TFC Simulator로 구성하였다. 지형 추종에 필요한 지형 정보로 디지털 지형 고도 데이터와 디지털 지형 고도 데이터를 이용하여 생성한 레이다 스캔 데이터를 활용하였다. ATF Simulator는 디지털 지형 고도 데이터를 이용하는 Passive mode, 레이다 스캔 데이터를 이용하는 Active mode, 두 가지 모두 이용하는 Hybrid mode로 세 가지 운용모드를 제공한다. LabVIEW 개발 환경과 MATLAB App Designer 개발 환경을 통해 지형 추종 시스템 개발에 소요되는 비용 및 시간을 줄일 수 있는 ATF Simulator를 개발하였으며 기능요구사항을 충족하는지 확인하여 검증하였다.

동적 자동차 시뮬레이터에서 Simulator Sickness와 생리적 반응에 대한 연구 (A Study on Simulator Sickness and Physiological Responses in Dynamic Driving Simulator)

  • The study was to evaluate psychological and physiological changes of simulator sickness in the controlled condition of driving a car (1 hr. at speed of 60 km/h) in a graphic simulator. Simulator sickness was measured and analyzed every 5 min using both subjective responses(i.e., Simulator Sickness Questionnaire) and Physiological signals(EEG, HRV, Skin Temperature, GSR). The results showed that there was significant differences in subjective response 10 min after the main experiment. From 10 min after the driving, the level of subjective simulator sickness increased significantly, relative one of the rest condition. There also was significant differences in physiological responses between the rest and the 5 min after from the start of driving : for EEG, $\delta$ and $\theta$ at Fz area increased, while $\alpha$ decreased; the averaged R-R interval and skin temperature decreased; LF/HF and GSR increased. The results indicated that simulator sickness was induced by activation of the autonomic nerves and inactivation of the central nerves.

Development of Hardware-in-the-loop Simulator for Spacecraft Attitude Control using thrusters

  • The ground-based spacecraft simulator is a useful tool to realize various space missions and satellite formation flying in the future. Also, the spacecraft simulator can be used to develop and verify new control laws required by modern spacecraft applications. In this research, therefore, Hardware-in-the-loop (HIL) simulator which can be demonstrated the experimental validation of the theoretical results is designed and developed. The main components of the HIL simulator which we focused on are the thruster system to attitude control and automatic mass-balancing for elimination of gravity torques. To control the attitude of the spacecraft simulator, 8 thrusters which using the cold gas (N2) are aligned with roll, pitch and yaw axis. Also Linear actuators are applied to the HIL simulator for automatic mass balancing system to compensate for the center of mass offset from the center of rotation. Addition to the thruster control system and Linear actuators, the HIL simulator for spacecraft attitude control includes an embedded computer (Onboard PC) for simulator system control, Host PC for simulator health monitoring, command and post analysis, wireless adapter for wireless network, rate gyro sensor to measure 3-axis attitude of the simulator, inclinometer to measure horizontality and battery sets to independently supply power only for the simulator. Finally, we present some experimental results from the application of the controller on the spacecraft simulator.

전자부품 통합 신뢰성 Simulator 개발 (Development of Reliability Simulator for Electronic Components)

  • The reliability, that is Long-Term Quality, require an approaching different from Short-Term Quality which is used before. As the electronic components are able to be easily normalized on the reliability testing, various testing standards are used. In this study, we proposed two reliability simulator that is PoF(Physics of Failure)-based and failure rate models-based. PoF-based simulator is introduced based on CalceEP program that is created by University of Maryland. This simulator can be modified by user interface of properties and PoF models and operated on stand alone system. Failure rate models-based simulator introduced according to analyzing reliability prediction documents. Also, unified database including failure data models is built from existing MIL-HDBK-217F N2, PRISM, and Bellcore, and web-based simulator is developed. The developed reliability simulator will service of the PoF model, properties, failure rate model accumulated and its data by web and internet.

  • 본 연구의 목적은 Graphic Simulator를 이용한 감성자극제시 및 측정연구에서 큰 변수로 작용하는 Simulator Sickness(SS)가 시간, 성별 그리고 Sick와 Non-sick 그룹에 따라 어떻게 변화하는지를 알아보고자 한다. 피험자는 신체 건강한 남녀 10명(남자 5명, 여자 5명)을 대상으로 하였다. Simulator Sickness Questionnaire(SSQ)를 이용하여 16가지 SS증상을 측정하고, 메스꺼움, 안구운동불편, 방향감각사실, Total Simulator Sickness 점수를 계산하였다. 실험 결과, Simulator Sickness는 남녀 모두 시간에 따라 계속 증가하는 경향을 나타내었고, 성별에 따른 차이는 나타나지 않았다. 또한 Sick와 Non-sick 그룹사이에 통계적 유의차(p<0.05)를 발견할 수 있었으며, Sick 그룹의 평균 점수가 더 높게 나타났다.

Driving Simulator에서 Simulator Sickness의 정량적 측정에 관한 연구 (A study on Quantitative measure for Simulator Sickness in Driving Simulator)

  • The purpose of this study is to propose and to apply new Revised Simulator Sickness Questionnaire(RSSQ) that is effective quantification tool by revising and complementing SSQ because Simulator Sickness Questionnaire(SSQ), which is being used generally to quantify Simulator Sickness has several problems. For this study, we reduced 31 symptoms that are related to Simulator Sickness to 22 symptoms and derived weighting for each other from 15 experts. We developed new RSSQ with 22 symptoms and implemented factor analysis by using 142 RSSQ which is questioned before and after getting on simulator. It was classified to four major symptom groups as the result of the factor analysis. They are Disorientation, Oculomotor, Nausea, and Confuse. The scoring system of RSSQ provides subscales score of Disorientation, Oculomotor, Nausea, and Confuse as well as total severity. The scoring system of RSSQ which is proposed by this study is expected to improve accuracy of measure compared with an existing scoring system of SSQ, and to contribute with understanding the effect of Simulator Sickness more adequately and clearly.

Openwave WAP Simulator를 이용한 WMLScript의 구현에 대한 연구 (A Study of Implementing WMLScript using Openwave WAP Simulator)

  • 본 연구는 Openwave WAP Simulator를 이용하여 WML과 WMLScript의 구현 방법을 소개하고자 함에 그 목적이 있다. 이를 위해서 본 연구에서는 WAP시스템의 구조와 WAP 브라우저의 중류 및 WAP 콘텐츠 개발 방법에 대한 기존 연구들을 살펴본 후 Openwave Phone Simulator는 물론 Oponwave WAP Simulator, Openwave HTTP Simulator, Nokia Mobile Internet Toolkit을 이용하여 이를 구현하였다. 현재 WMLScript의 구현을 위한 제 설치과정과 복잡한 절차들에 대한 연구는 다소 희소한 편이라 본 연구에서는 이러한 제 과정을 순서대로 소개하여 WMLScript를 이용한 모바일 응용프로그램의 개발과 실험을 보다 쉽게 하고자 한다.

이족보행로봇의 횡보행 경로생성을 위한 시뮬레이터 연구 (Study on a Simulator for Generating Side Walking Path of the Biped Walking Robot)

  • A research on a simulator for a side walking path of a 16 degree-of-freedom (d.o.f) biped walking robot(BWR) which is composed of 4 d.o.f upper-part body and 12 d.o.f lower-part of the body is presented. For generation of stable side walking motion, the kinematics, dynamics and the zero moment of point(ZMP) of the BWR were analyzed analytically and included in the simulator. To operate the motion simulator for stable side walking of the BWR, a graphic user interface program was developed which needs inputs for the side distance between legs, base joint angle, walking type, and walking velocity. The simulator was developed to generate joint angle data of legs for side walking, and the data are transmitted to the BWR for stable side walking. In the simulator, a new path function for smooth walking motion was proposed and applied to the simulator and actual motion of a BWR. Also for actual side walking, an algorithm for estimating backlashes of the actuating joint motors was proposed and included in the simulator. To validate the performance of the proposed motion simulator, the simulator was operated and its side walking data of the simulator were generated for a period of side walking.

자동차 시뮬레이터의 운동감에 대한 감성평가 (Human Sensibility Ergonomic Evaluation of Sense of Motion Perceived in a Vehicle Simulator)

  • The vehicle simulator is a useful virtual reality system. The simulator enables engineers to effectively research and analyze various experiments. Therefore, the development of a specific vehicle simulator is required, and its performance must be verified. This paper verifies the performance of Pusan National University Vehicle Simulator. Human sensibility ergonomic tests of vehicle simulator were also executed. The sense of simulator motion was chosen as the standard of performance evaluation. The driver's senses were subdivided into senses of rectilinear and rotational velocities. This study extracted ergonomic sensibility words that can be used to evaluate the performance of the simulator As a practical application of simulator, the relation was studied between the sense of simulator motion and the characteristics of drivers, who are classified into their sexes and driving careers. A statistical method was applied to human sensibility ergonomic tests of vehicle simulator.

  • POSCO has been developed a general purpose dynamic simulator of the hot strip steel mill. The simulator is a tool for developing the process control system in an industrial system solution business, by making the most use of control and simulation techniques fostered in steelmaking business. This simulator has, not only a powerful numerical analysis function, but an easy-to-use graphic user interface which readily enables to simulate dynamic system. This paper presents the features of the simulator and steel rolling process simulator as its application.
