  • While the elliptic curve cryptosystem (ECC) is getting more popular in securing numerous systems, implementations without consideration for side-channel attacks are susceptible to critical information leakage. This paper proposes new power attack countermeasures for ECC over Koblitz curves. Based on some special properties of Koblitz curves, the proposed methods randomize the involved elliptic curve points in a highly regular manner so the resulting scalar multiplication algorithms can defeat the simple power analysis attack and the differential power analysis attack simultaneously. Compared with the previous countermeasures, the new methods are also noticeable in terms of computational cost.

  • Recently, it is increasing a users requiring actually and a variety of service due to a growth of wet based technique and network technique. In services, the interest in web and mobile contents domain is increasing rapidly. The most contents supported point or a E-Money as result of contents's usage. But, the point system be in name only due to a lack of a contents using a point or a related service. As a solution for this problem, this paper designed a supported system that integrated a point system supporting others contents and can associated to a game using that point. we made a simple game and supporting contents in web for simulating the designed system. • Many of the current visual odometry algorithms suffer from some extreme limitations such as requiring a high amount of computation time, complex algorithms, and not working in urban environments. In this paper, we present an approach that can solve all the above problems using a single camera. Using a planar motion assumption and Ackermann's principle of motion, we construct the vehicle's motion model as a circular planar motion (2DOF). Then, we adopt a 1-point method to improve the Ransac algorithm and the relative motion estimation. In the Ransac algorithm, we use a 1-point method to generate the hypothesis and then adopt the Levenberg-Marquardt method to minimize the geometric error function and verify inliers. In motion estimation, we combine the 1-point method with a simple least-square minimization solution to handle cases in which only a few feature points are present. The 1-point method is the key to speed up our visual odometry application to real-time systems. Finally, a Bundle Adjustment algorithm is adopted to refine the pose estimation. The results on real datasets in urban dynamic environments demonstrate the effectiveness of our proposed algorithm.

  • Objectives : This study was performed to investigate the effect of acupuncture at Yintang point(EX-$HN_3$) on heart rate variability in healthy adults with mental stress. Methods : 38 healthy volunteers(sham point group : 19, Yintang point group 19) participated in this study. The study was established by randomized trial. After 10 minutes rest period, mental stress was provided for 10 minutes. HRV was recorded before and after stress. And then simple acupuncture was applied at sham or Yintang point for 15 minutes. We measured HRV 3 times: before and after stress, and after acupuncture. Results : In sham point group, LF norm and HF norm changed significantly after mental stress. In Yintang point group, LF, HF, LF norm, HF norm and LF/HF showed a significant change after mental stress. In sham point group, all indicators were not affected after acupuncture. In Yintang point group, HF norm decreased significantly. LF, LF norm and LF/HF increased significantly. There were significant differences between two groups(p<0.05). Conclusions : The results suggest that acupuncture at Yintang point(EX-$HN_3$) can regulate and prevent the alteration of autonomic nerve system by mental stress.

  • Objective: The aims of this study were to investigate a simple method for assessing anterior-posterior jaw relationships via cone-beam computed tomography (CBCT) images taken in the natural head position (NHP) relative to the nasion true vertical plane (NTVP), and measure normative data in Korean adults with normal profiles. Methods: Subjects were selected from patients presenting for third molar extraction and evaluated as having normal profiles by three examiners. The CBCT images of 80 subjects (39 males, 41 females) were taken in the NHP according to Solow and Tallgren's method. Linear measurements of the A-point, B-point, and Pog were calculated relative to the NTVP. Student's t -test was used to assess sexual differences in these measurements. Results: The mean linear measurements of the A-point, B-point, and Pog relative to the NTVP were 0.18 mm (standard deviation [SD], 4.77 mm), -4.00 mm (SD, 6.62 mm), and -2.49 mm (SD, 7.14 mm) respectively in Korean males, and 1.48 mm (SD, 4.21 mm), -4.07 mm (SD, 6.70 mm) and -2.91 mm (SD, 7.25 mm) in Korean females respectively. There were no statistically significant differences between Korean males and females (p < 0.05). Conclusions: Three-dimensional CBCT analysis using the NTVP is a simple and reliable method for assessing anterior-posterior skeletal relationships.

  • In this paper, roll behavior of three planar half car models are compared. The first model is a simple model whose contact point between a wheel and the ground is assumed to be fixed with a revolute joint. The second model is a modified model of the fIrst model, whose wheel tread width can vary. In this model, the instant center of a wheel with respect to the ground, which is crucial to find the roll center, is assumed to be at the contact point of a wheel and the ground. The last model uses the pole of a wheel with respect to the ground for small displacement as the instant center of a wheel with respect to the ground. Loci of the center of gravity point, the fixed and the moving centrodes which are traces of roll center position in the ground and the body frame respectively, wheel contact points, and instant centers of a wheel with respect to the ground are calculated.

  • This paper discusses a maximum power point tracking controller (MPPTC) by using chopper with an adjustable input to output voltage. The MPPTC is determined by sensing only the actual voltage from solar cell array. It is simple and continuously tracks the solar cell array maximum power point regardless of the load type. Also, the system obtains protection circuit to protect overcharge and disovercharge against the battery.

  • The 3-level converter/inverter system is very efficient in the ac motor drives of high voltage and high power application. This paper proposed a simple method to diagnose faults using change of current vector pattern in space vector diagram when the faults occurrence in the 3-level inverter and a control method that can protect system from unbalance of the neutral point voltage according to faults. The validity of the proposed method is demonstrated by the simulation results.

  • The load and resistance factors are generally obtained using the First Order Reliability Method (FORM), in which the design point should be determined and derivative-based iterations have to be used. In this paper, a simple method for estimating the load and resistance factors using the first four moments of the basic random variables is proposed and a simple formula for the target mean resistance is also proposed to avoid iteration computation. Unlike the currently used method, the load and resistance factors can be determined using the proposed method even when the probability density functions (PDFs) of the basic random variables are not available. Moreover, the proposed method does not need either the iterative computation of derivatives or any design points. Thus, the present method provides a more convenient and effective way to estimate the load and resistance factors in practical engineering. Numerical examples are presented to demonstrate the advantages of the proposed fourth moment method for determining the load and resistance factors.

  • The coexistence and extinction of species are important concepts for biological systems and can be distinguished by an investigation of stability. When determining local stability of nonlinear systems, Lyapunov indirect method based on the Jacobian linearization has been widely employed due to its simplicity. Despite such popularity, it is not applicable to singular systems whose Jacobian has at least one eigenvalue that is equal to zero. In such singular cases, an appropriate Lyapunov function should be sought to determine the stability of systems, which is rather difficult and quite involved. In this paper, we seek for a simple criterion to determine stability of the equilibrium that is located at the boundary of the positive orthant, when one of eigenvalues of the Jacobian is zero. The goal of the paper is to present a generalized condition for the equilibrium to attract all trajectories that starting from initial condition in the positive orthant and near the equilibrium. Unlike the Lyapunov direct method, the proposed method requires just a simple algebraic computation for checking the stability of the critical point. Our approach is applied to various biological systems to show the effectiveness of the proposed method.
