  • For studies of fibrinolytic enzyme strain K-54 was isolated from the Korean traditional food chungkook-jang. Isolated strains K-54 was identified as Bacillus subtilis. The molecular weight of fibrinolytic enzyme from B. subtilis K-54 was 27 kDa. Optimum temperature for fibrinolytic enzyme of B. subtilis K-54 was $50-70^{\circ}C$ and optimum pH for producing the enzyme of this strain was ranging from 8 to 12. Also, it was found out enzyme activity was completely inhibited by 1mM PMSF. The result indicated this enzyme was thermo-stable alkaline serine protease with strong fibrinolytic activity. The wool and silk were treated with protease of B. subtilis K-54. As a result, the property of dyeing of wool fabrics was increased. By the increasing of treatment time became smoothened. But the change of mechanical properties were not changed.

  • In one dyeing system of silk/synthetic blend fabrics (polyester, nylon, acetate) with acid dyes/disperse dyes, dyeability and desorptibility of disperse dyes on silk fabric and transfer from dyed silk fabrics to synthetic fabrics by color difference were examined. When silk dyed with C.I. Disperse Red 19 and C.I. Disperse Red 60 at 10$0^{\circ}C$ for 60 minutes, color difference of dyed silk were $\Delta$E=56.72, $\Delta$E=47.65 for blank silk, respectively. The desorption rate of the dyed silks were measured in boiling bath with and without dye-free synthetic fibers. The desorption rate of dyed silk was effected by affinity of synthetic fabrics contained. When silk dyed with Red 19 and Red 60 was reduced at 10$0^{\circ}C$ for 60 minutes, the decolouration rates of dyed silk were 75% and 40%, respecdtively.

  • The silk fabrics were treated with color solution extracted from leaf of Camellia. The depression effect of destruction and yellowing of silk treated with color solution, shift of UV-VIS spectra of color solution, color difference of silk fabrics by dyeing with acid dyes and drycleaning fastness of silk treated with color solution were studied. UV-VIS spectra appeared to hypsochromic shift by irradiation. The decrease of tensile strength and the elongation of the silk treated with color solution showed depressed but those of untreated silk increased by irradiation. The yellowness index of silk treated with color solution showed a little change by irradiation. The color difference after dyeing with several acid dyes on treated and untreated silk showed not remarkable changes. Dsrycleaning fastness of silk treated by color solution was excellent.

  • The optical behavior of coloring matter extracted from onion's coats, the depression effects of destruction, yellowing and W transmittance of silk treated with color solution of onion's coats color difference of silk fabrics dyed with acid dyes and drycleaning fastness of silk treated with color solution has been investigated. The results are as follows : 1) The coloring matter extracted from onion's coats by alkali-acid method appeared properties of aglycon type. 2) &{\lambda}_{max}&of color solution extracted by distilled water was found at 280 and 327nm. 3) The decrease of tensile strength and the elongation of the silk treated with color solution were depressed but those of untreated silk were increased by irradiation of UV light. 4) The yellowness index of silk treated with color solution showed a little change by irradiation. 5) The UV transmittance of silk treated with color solution was decreased as increasing concentration of color solution. 6) The color difference after dyeing with several acid dyes on treated and untreated silk fabrics showed remarkable changes. 7) Drycleaning fastness of silk treated by color solution was excellent.

  • The extracts drawn out from Sophora japonica by methanol was concentrated. Using this concentrate the silk was dyed, 400% conc. of dyeing material, $80^{\circ}C$ temperature of dyeing, 30 min time of dyeing. The K/S value of silk fabric was the most efficient for the simmordanting method. On the other hand, the amount of absorbed mordant the Cu-mordant was largest mordants. The surface colors on the dyed fabric depended heavily upon mordants or mordanting methods. For all cases, the value of the dyed fabric was dark. for the mordanting, color difference was distinct when using the Fe-mordant. Lightfastness of the color fastness was best in Cu-mordant. The Fe-, Cu- mordant showed the greatest antimicrobial activity.

  • The dyeing of silk fabric with chinese scholar tree extract was investigated. The colorant was extracted with distilled water, and concentrated under reduced pressure, and, finally spray-dried. The optimum temperature and dyeing time for the dyeing of silk with the scholar tree extract was $60^\circ{C}$ and 60 minutes respectively. In mordant dyeing, pre-mordanting method was most effective for color yield, and 1~2 % of mordant concentration was acceptable. Fastness of the dyed silk fabric to laundering and rubbing was shown to be good, but fastness to light, dry cleaning, and perspiration were varied with used mordants.

  • This study was carried out to investigate dyeing characteristics of CDP(cation dyeable polyester)/silk knitted fabrics with disperse type cation dyes/acid dyes by one bath dyeing method in comparison with two bath dyeing method in the interests for rationalization of the dyeing process. The apparent color depth(K/S) of the disperse type cation dyes with CDP and that of acid dyes with silk decreased slowly with increasing pH values of dyebath with the exception of sharp decrease at alkali region for CDP. The contamination behavior of CDP by the acid dyes and that of silk by the disperse type cation dyes decreased with progressing of dyeing. The migration ratio(%) of the disperse type cation dyes with CDP is low compared with that of acid dyes with silk. The sediment in mixed dying solution of disperse type cation dyes and acid dyes remarkably less compared with that of regular type cation dyes and acid dyes at $100^{\circ}C$ regardless applying of preventer agent of precipitation. When CDP/silk knitted fabrics was dyed with by with mixtures of disperse type cation dyes/acid dyes one bath or two bath dyeing method, the characteristic of reflectance spectra of CDP components were greatly influenced by disperse type cation dyes and that of silk components by acid dyes. It was confirmed that K/S values of each components of CDP/silk knitted fabrics dyed by one bath dyeing method decreased slightly compared with two bath dyeing method.
