A stoneware bottle was recovered from the Incheon Yeongheungdo Shipwreck in 2013. Primary observations showed that this object had a sealed opening and was covered with a foreign material. After it was cleaned via mechanical and chemical methods, wave patterns were observed on the outer surface of the bottle and a yellowish-brown transparent material was found within. In this paper, the process of conserving the stoneware bottle and the analysis conducted on the unknown material found within is explained. The conservation process included steps such as cleaning, desalination and restoration. After of the missing area located at the rim, the original shape of the bottle was made clear. In addition, the unknown inner material was analyzed using FT-IR and GC-MS. Results showed that the material is similar to golden lacquer. It is speculated that the Yeongheungdo Ship had wrecked during the Unified Silla period while carrying a bottle loaded with golden lacquer.

This objective of this study is to thoroughly analyze the policies of international organizations and major advanced countries relevant to the realization of Green port To construct Green ports, there first must be competition to build such ports in sustainable, fixed quantities. Second, there is a great need for cooperation and support networks made binding by mutual agreements on ship recycling. Third, there is a need for scientific research on responses to changes in environmental regulations and on environmental issues. Today, the majority of the world's ports use gasoline or electric energy, and improving capacities for self-sufficiency through development of new and renewable energy is judged to be a pressing task. The conditions for an eco-friendly port is that it must be an important center for economic and industrial activity, and valuable as a site where people live and work, with residences and work places existing in close proximity.

The aim of this research is to analyze the concentration and deconcentration development of cruise ports in the Mediterranean area by utilizing the concentration ratio (CR), the Herfindahl-Hirschman Index (HHI), the Gini coefficient, and shift share analysis (SSA). The results of analysis indicated a concentration trend in the West Mediterranean. The cruise ports located in Venice, Piraeus, Naples and Livrno in Adriatic and East Med region lost cruise passengers, while the those in West Mediterranean gained the passengers and showed the trend of concentration. This paper providing the shifting passengers among cruise ports that indicates the competitiveness of cruise ports for industrial stake holders to better understand the cruise ports such as tourist boards, ship agents, and port agents.

Cultural heritage means a great lot to a nation's social system and its people's behavior consciousness and plays an important role in its self-development and improvement. It is essential for a nation's self-education and renewal. Improper cultural heritage will be disastrous because it may fall a nation into a loss of terrible chaos. Only the proper cultural heritage can make it always self-awaking, self-correcting and remaining vital in life. This paper, from the perspective of Choi Bu's Pyohaerok, makes a thorough analysis of the unbalance heritage of Chinese ancient culture for thousands of years. For example, many fine traditions gradually vanished in our actual life or only take half their life in heritage nowadays, such as our ancient broad and profound Confucian etiquette, ancient exquisite brocade art and architecture, ancient advanced ship-building technology and many other advanced numerous technological inventions; however, too much unwanted cultural rubbish keeps constant prevailing and takes repeated successions in the life, such as the heavy-form-and-light-content management mode, borrowing power to do evil, neglecting technological inventions long time and generally believing in ghost theory,etc.. This paper mainly focuses on the partial successions of the bad cultural heritage and its bad influence on the country, and concludes that it is just that that makes the country more and more backward. Therefore, the paper makes some pondering over these issues and proposes some related ideas of country-building to attract others participation to deal with them.

The study on the temporal and spatial monitoring of passing vessels is important in terms of protection and management the marine ecosystem in the coastal area. In this paper, we propose the automatic detection technique of passing vessel by utilizing an artificial intelligence technology and broadband striation patterns which are characteristic of broadband noise radiated by passing vessel. Acoustic measurements to collect underwater noise spectrum images and ship navigation information were conducted in the southern region of Jeju Island in South Korea for 12 days (2016.07.15-07.26). And the convolution neural network model is optimized through learning and validation processes based on the collected images. The automatic detection performance of passing vessel is evaluated by precision (0.936), recall (0.830), average precision (0.824), and accuracy (0.949). In conclusion, the possibility of the automatic detection technique of passing vessel is confirmed by using an artificial intelligence technology, and a future study is proposed from the results of this study.

The criteria of tugboat requirement in domestic trading ports have been determined by the administrator of regional maritime affairs and port office on the basis of the regulations for the tugboat operations and management. But, there is a little confusion that the criteria of tugboat requirement and method for calculation of them are different from port to port and total power calculated on the basis of power per tugboat requirements by the number of tugs is not in accordance with total required power for the use of tug in several ports. The comparison of tugboat requirements among domestic major ports showed that it should be necessary for the criteria to be made in unified form. Because the current criteria are only on the basis q the ordinary condition with wind velocity under 10m/s, the criteria on the condition of the wind velocity over 10m/s are suggested to be necessary for the precautions against a disaster such as unexpected strong winds or typhoon.

In this paper we analyzed the search patterns for the anti-submarine warfare (ASW) surface ships cooperating with ASW helicopters. For this purpose, we modeled evasive motion of a submarine with a probabilistic method. And maneuvers and search actions of ships and helicopters participating in the anti-submarine search mission are designed. And for each simulation scenario, the case where a ship and a helicopter searches a submarine independently according to its optimized search pattern is compared with the case where the search platforms participate in the ASW mission cooperatively. Based on the simulation results, we proposed the reconfigured search patterns that help cooperative ASW surface ships increase the total cumulative detection probability (CDP).

Conservation of the natural environiment In chosun-Dynasty, Korea, is analysed on the basis of the of official records of the king's offices(Chosun-wangjo-sillok). In the popular ideologies of the dynasty, Seongleehak(philosophy of humanity arid natural laws) and Pungsu (geomancy) , the naturnal enviroment is defined as an entity con-sisting of Cheon (heaven) , San(mnountains) , Su (water), Geumsu (animals)and Chomok (plants) .the notion of Tacksi-Tackmul(being careful to take natural resources at the right time) was one of the Cheonmyung (eavenly decrees) . It was believed that violation of this principle resulted in natural disasters. Sasan(four mountains surrounding Hansungbu-, the capital city, now Seoul) , were strictly preserved according to geomancy practices. In areas other than the capital city, Sanlimcheontack (mountains, forests, rivers and ponds) were con-served for sustained production of building materials especially pinetrees for ship building, foods, firewoods, horses, and orter useful natural resources. Various conservation policy insturuments were adopted. Prunning trees was permitted only in October. Capturing fishes was allowed only after the spawning period. Protection areas were designated in Sasan, Seongjoesiplee (surroundings of the capital city) , Geumsan(protected mountains), Kangmujang(hunting and army training grounds), Sijang(firewood areas), Mokmajang(horse ranches) and Neungyuk(royal tombs) . Activities prohibited for conservation purposes included cutting timbers, burning, building houses or tombs, dumping wastes, farming and breaking up fresh land, grazing, hunting and trespassing. Positive actions for conservation were rituals to Heaven ennoblement of natural elements such as mountians or rivers, planting trees, Boto (supplementing soil on low ridges) , Josan (mounding) and making ponds. Boto, Josan and making ponds were to make ideal terrains for geomancy. Many government bodies and civil servants were engaged in the conservation activities. For example, Sanjik(forest keeper) was a special position with responsibility for forest management.

As the demand of sea leisure increases recently, interest is converged sea safety and offer of quick and systematic information according to weather environment that change rapidly. Use of Electronic Navigational Chart(ENC) in the sea in offer of geography information through Mobile terminal was gone to level that run in PDA environment in domestic by bulky good physician data information and complicated processing way of island in the sea expression in sea, and is loaded in obligatory sailing equipment of ship yet and is used. In this paper, we develop server system that take charge index for offer of quick information through Restrictive resource management and Caching Technique, image conversion and database construction and fast search to service various marine leisure informations of Weather Data and so on and image information of ENC in the sea to Mobile portable phone terminal efficiently.

Route Design & TSS(Traffic Separation Scheme) establishment are often used to improve the marine traffic safety in the heavy waters. There are several domestic and international route design guidelines, but there is no guideline of TSS design. So, TSS is designed by specialist's subjective opinion. Until now, when TSS is designed there are a few paper about the easiness effectiveness of marine accident, but there is no paper to design TSS guideline. This paper proposes the design guideline about TSS to improve the safety of navigation vessel by the quantitative assessment in the viewpoint of mariner.
