Although the existing X-CASH card system observes the KS standard for a transportation card system, there has been an issue for interoperability between X-CASH and other public transportation system due to the partially undefined part in the standard. This issue is followed by the inconvenience of the existing X-CASH users. If the existing X-CASH card user wants to get any other public transportations which are not interoperated with X-CASH, the user would have to buy other cards. Consequently, some users have to bring more than one card with them. In addition, it is almost impossible that the existing X-CASH system operator makes the X-CASH card available for the infrastructure built by other cards operators because their technologies are too much different. The X-CASH operator must construct its own infrastructure on the same route and it would cause an unnecessary loss of expense and labor. To solve these problems, We modified the existing X-CASH system and developed the Nation-wide Interoerable X-CASH system which lets both the existing X-CASH card and Nation-wide Interoperable X-CASH card work. This developed X-CASH system consists of the purchase SAM, the purchase terminal and the settlement. And The conformity test for it was successfully authorized. Also we, KORAIL NETWORKS, have done the test-bed on this Nation-wide interoperable X-CASH system in Gwangju for six months with Telecommunications & Clearings, the HiPlusCard Corporation. This test confirmed that the Nation-wide Interoperable X-CASH system would practically work well.
When the natural villages in Jeju province are incorporated into the district of city planning, they are considered to be a small-scale residential districts. Therefore, a garden city should be planned that considers the characteristics of the villages to implement an appropriate street system, to use the area effectively, and to harmonize the villages with the surrounding communities. There have been an especially large number of problems with the street system in the city of Seogwipo, which was notified as the area of natural settlement. This study analyzes the problems inherent in street planning and the present condition of roads whose construction has been postponed for a long time due to several problems including an inappropriately planned street system. Based on the research of various documents, a practical street system has been investigated. Most of the residents in natural settlement units demand use of the continued the existing roads as well as the implementation of an effective street system. They ask for street planning under which the involved construction would take only a short period of time and would result in only minimal damage to their existing properties. Therefore, the street system should be planned so as to preserve the nature-friendly features of natural settlements, their surroundings and tourism resources. Even after streets hwve been planned and their completion you has been established, the plan should be continuously evaluated, analyzed and compared with other alternatives. The street plan should continuously incorporate improvement measures which would satisfy various aspects of the street system including land use, traffic demand, and future population demands. Both the amount of money to be invested and economical efficiency should be considered for street planning since the street system has a great impact on many industries. Unnecessary costs related to excessive road construction should be avoided. The street network plan should also include the complete evaluation of the natural topography as well as the surrounding. Considering these views, the data concerning the current condition of the city and the related investigation play an important role in establishing a street plan. However, the investigation of future construction plans by the city is as of yet at a very early stage. Therefore, there is an urgent need for the investigational study of the current city development plans. The street system for the natural settlement area should be established only after the thorough investigation of all aspects of street planning. In addition, the plan should be flexible enough to consider the characteristics of Jeju.

The manufacturing system has been changed from labored manual process system, which is managed and operated by managers and operators, to CIMS(Computer Integrated Manufacturing System) for integration of manufacturing, research, development and consumption in the age of diverse customer's needs[6]. However, because it involves the hierarchical system composed of many sub-systems interface and its installation & setup cost is very expensive, CIMS has many difficulties in constructing the durable optimal system that is able to adapt to rapid in-outer circumstance change. So, HMS(Holonic Manufacturing System), the new conceptual manufacturing system having the self-problem-solving and self-organization[11], is instructed to solve these difficulties that it has in these days. The system flexibility in the HMS is able to be ensured, with the integration of human's strong points into mechatronics manufacturing system to reduce interference among sub-systems. In this paper, the manufacturing process rationalization and integration of the assembly line in an automobile industry, has lots of problems in efficiency and productivity, has been studied in an early stage of converting the present state of process system to HMS, which is human-oriented processing system, to improve the line efficiency, system productivity and reliability by using human capability effectively. This paper is derived into the human-oriented & object-oriented holons settlement of the shop floor system composed of processing, assembly and material handling system for the future holonic manufacturing system, which is going to be computer supported control system.
Investor-State Dispute Settlement(ISDS) grants a foreign investor the right to access an international arbitrator, if he believes actions taken by a host government are in breach of commitments made in an investment agreement or an investment treaty. The arbitration procedure of ICSID is made specifically to resolve investment disputes, so most of investment disputes have been settled in accordance with the procedure. Owing to limitation of dispute settlements through the ICSID arbitration procedure, several investment dispute conciliation schemes have been emerged as alternatives. In the case of a conciliation, the conciliation procedure will be in progress based on arbitrary agreement between parties, and if both parties agree on a conciliation program, then the arbitrary execution rate is relatively higher than that of arbitration procedures. In addition, it is evaluated that the time duration of conducting a conciliation procedure is in general rather short in 8 to 24months, and its incumbent cost is also rather inexpensive. Most of all, through amicable settlement of a dispute between a foreign investor and a host state, the foreign investor may continue his investment activities without a hitch, while the host state may invite more investment without any risk of losing its external credibility. In conclusion, it is desirable to lead any investment dispute between a foreign investor and a host state settle in accordance with the dispute settlement procedure as specified in the relevant investment agreement. In addition, to make the foreign investor continue his investment activities, it will be necessary to provide a separate investment dispute conciliation system aside from such arbitration procedures to cope any unexpected incident flexibly.
In the early Joseon when royal authority was not still firmly established, King Taejong, or Lee Bang Won tried to make their political position guaranteed through relationships with Ming, making efforts to develop relations with the Chinese nation positively. This political orientation towards Ming by of the king Taejong was also clearly reflected in the settlement of official uniform in the early Joseon, which can be described as follows. Gaoming(誥命), Yinxin(印信) and Mianfu(冕服) granted by Ming for the first time since the foundation of Joseon suggested that the Chinese nation recognized the formal settlement of Joseon dynasty and the inauguration of King Taejong. presumedly, the grants played a critical role in the firm establishment by King Taejong of his royal authority under unstable political conditions. Under the reign of King Taejong, Joseon tried to abolish ancient regime and, instead, accept systems and institutions of Ming as it maintained smooth relations with the Chinese nation. King Taejong whose royal authority was locally deemed lack in legitimacy and morality wanted to receive the moral recognition of his reign. So the monarch tried to not only strengthen his authority, but also take in advanced culture and civilization through submissive diplomatic relations with Ming. This was a practical diplomatic strategy that was clearly discriminated from toadyism. It was a policy towards Ming, pursuing substantial national benefit. Therefore, official uniform system under the reign of King Taejong should be understood accordingly.
The importance of considering soil-structure interaction effect in the analysis and design of RC frame buildings is increasingly recognized but still not penetrated to the grass root level owing to various complexities involved. It is well established fact that the soil-structure interaction effect considerably influence the design of multi-storey buildings subjected to lateral seismic loads. The shear walls are often provided in such buildings to increase the lateral stability to resist seismic lateral loads. In the present work, the linear soil-structure analysis of a G+5 storey RC shear wall building frame resting on isolated column footings and supported by deformable soil is presented. The finite element modelling and analysis is carried out using ANSYS software under normal loads as well as under seismic loads. Various load combinations are considered as per IS-1893 (Part-1):2002. The interaction analysis is carried out with and without shear wall to investigate the effect of inclusion of shear wall on the total and differential settlements in the footings due to deformations in the soil mass. The frame and soil mass both are considered to behave in linear elastic manner. It is observed that the soil-structure interaction effect causes significant total and differential settlements in the footings. Maximum total settlement in footings occurs under vertical loads and inner footings settle more than outer footings creating a saucer shaped settlement profile of the footings. Each combination of seismic loads causes maximum differential settlement in one or more footings. Presence of shear wall decreases pulling/pushing effect of seismic forces on footings resulting in more stability to the structures.

Since considerable time passed after completion of dam construction, Methods to judge the safety and/or to manage effectively have extreme limitation and restriction. Behavior analysis based on one point (site) by such as surface settlement gauge is typically performed in order to define deformation characteristic of dam. However, deformation characteristics of entire dam can not be analyzed by this method. This study adopted state-of-the-art terrestrial laser scanning technology, and developed the technology to analyze the entire deformation of dam. The analysis was compare with the outputs of surface settlement gauge to confirm the performance of 3D terrestrial laser scanning technology. As a result, through analyses of laser scanning data and the surface settlement gauge data, the studied dam shows behavior of deformation by own weight of dam. It is possible to confirm that the dam is entering the stage of stabilization presently.
To observe the behavior of lateral deformation of buried pipe and the preventing effect of embankment piles against the lateral deformation, a series of full-scale field tests were performed on a reclaimed coastal area. A buried pipe was installed in the west coast undergoing reclamation and embankment was performed by three steps. Then vertical settlement and lateral displacement were measured by the settlement plate and the inclinometer. Embankment pile system were applied to prevent the lateral displacement of buried pipe. Heave of the buried pipe slightly happens during embankment and following settlement. Finally the behavior steadily converged. The preventing effect of the embankment pile was approximately two times stronger than non-reinforcement. Both settlement and lateral displacement appear to be bigger at upper ground and smaller at lower ground.

This study is about the problems found in the process of the current governments planning rural settlement area development. As a measure to solve them, It proposed the analysis method of village characteristic in terms of standard score and tried to use this method as a basic material in planning more effective rural settlement area development. On the basis of the above analysis, which is an objective basic material to solve the problems revealed in the process of the bottom-up development planning by the residents' demands, It shows the following conclusion about what method should be applied to each part according to a village's characteristics and its development level. 1. Accessibility can be a basic material for setting the local area, analyzing its settlement system, and them such development facilities as village-linking roads, rural road, or various kinds of bridges and determining the investment priority. 2. With the index of the industrial basis, we can see what village has plenty of social, economical resources including advanced industrial facilities and looking into the advance level of the industrial basis, we can get some information about determining the local area development direction such as estashing the plan to build a farm product gathering center, a collective work place, storage facilities, and special housing development. 3. Since the issue about living environment is raising it's head, compared to weakened agricultural competitive power, with the analysis of this living environment, we can get an objective basic material for solving problems caused by the local egoism and the effective investment strategy of the limited resources. Therefore, It is necessary that we should abstain from expert-centered planning and formal public opinion-collecting and on the basis of this analytic result, we should plan development. We need to continue our research about index selecting and differentiation, weight etc. and using these analysis methods, we should make up a systematic development plan by analyzing village characteristics and setting the development direction.
To accommodate the rapid growth of e-commerce transactions, non-face-to-face transactions, businesses use a wide variety of payment methods. However, many of these payment mediums are not secure as shown by increases in fraudulent transactions. In this paper, we analyze a particular e-commerce transaction medium, the Safety Transaction Service (STS). This system protects consumers through a wide variety of safeguards: safety settlement systems (escrow), consumer damage compensation insurance, payment guarantee, and secure bank settlement. In contrast to the safeguards, we identify the limitations and concerns with the STS and potential legal and political improvements. The plethora of payment methods limits the consumers ability to distinguish between the secured and unsecured transaction services. Regulation and consumer based verification of transaction services are essential to root out dangerously fraudulent systems. We propose the development of specific standards to these systems, in particular the need for consumer confirmation and clear settlement documentation. Only through the active promotion of scrutiny and improvement to STS will consumers be protected in e-commerce.
