  • In this paper, a fuzzy set based machine-cell formation algorithm for cellular manufacturing is presented. The fuzzy logic is emoloyed to express the degree of appropriateness when alternative machines are specified to process a part shape. For machine grouping, the similarity coefficient based approach is used. The algorithm produces efficient machine cells and part families which maximize the similarity values.

군집분석 기법을 이용한 공공도서관 그룹화에 대한 연구 (A Study of Library Grouping using Cluster Analysis Methods)

  • 이 연구의 목적은 공공도서관 그룹화를 위해 적합한 군집분석 모델을 파악하고 그 특징을 분석하는데 있다. 국가도서관통계시스템의 공공도서관 통계 데이터를 사용하였으며, 군집분석 기법의 3가지 모델을 적용하였다. 공공도서관 규모를 기준으로 군집분석을 실시한 결과 크게 2가지 군집으로 구분되었으며, 군집의 크기는 크게 한쪽으로 치우쳤다. 그룹화 모델로 도서관 규모를 기준으로 삼으면, 계층적 군집분석의 와드측정법과 k-평균군집분석 모델이 적합하였다. 공공도서관 그룹화 연구 결과에 대한 시사점은 다음과 같다. 첫째, 통계 데이터 외에 도서관 서비스 관련 다양한 데이터 수집이 진행되어야 한다. 둘째, 분석 대상이 되는 데이터 세트에 적합한 분석 모델이 적용되어야 한다. 셋째, 도서관 서비스 향상을 위해 군집분석 기법의 다양한 분야 적용 가능성에 대한 적극적인 연구가 필요가 있다.

  • 위성 영상에서 건물형태를 발생하기위한 새로운 접근방식이 본 논문에서 제안되었다. 제안된 알고리즘은 낮은 수준의 선소들을 연결하고 유사한 개체들을 군집화하기 위해 선소 측정함수가 적용된 신경망이다. 제안된 신경망은 윤곽선 영상에서 추출된 윤곽선들을 군집화 목적으로 사용된다. 본 논문에서는 3차원 선소의 오류에 의한 군집화 결과의 비현실적 건물모델의 발생을 근원적으로 차단하기 위하여, 높이 정보를 이용한 계층적 군집화를 제안하였다. 제안된 새로운 거리척도의 신경망과 군집화를 통해 성공적인 건물모델의 재구성을 실험으로 보여주었다.

  • 협동 학습은 학습자들을 소그룹으로 나누어 상호 협력하여 학습하게 함으로써 학습자의 학업 성취감을 향상시키는 것을 그 목적으로 한다. 그러므로 효과적인 소그룹 생성을 위한 몇몇 기존 연구들이 존재하며, 대부분 연구에서는 교과목, 교수자, 그리고 학습자의 정보로부터 변인 요소들을 추출하고 이를 기반으로 소그룹을 생성한다. 그러나 아직까지 많은 연구들은 특정 교과목에 의존적인 그룹 생성 방법을 제안하고 있을 뿐 다양한 교과목을 대상으로 그룹을 생성하기위한 방법을 제안한 연구는 많지 않다. 더욱이 그룹 생성을 위해 자동화된 시스템을 제안한 연구는 찾아보기 힘들다. 본 논문에서는 다양한 교과목 상황에 따라 그에 맞는 소그룹을 자동으로 생성하는 시스템을 제안한다. 제안된 시스템은 교과목의 기본 정보만을 입력받아 자동으로 그룹을 생성하거나 사용자가 필요하다고 판단되면 추가로 변인 요소를 입력받아 자동으로 소그룹을 생성한다. 본 논문에서는 다양한 변인 요소를 반영하기 위하여 규칙(Rule)을 정의하고 규칙을 기반으로 소그룹을 생성하는 방법을 제안한다. 또한 본 논문은 제안한 그룹 생성 시스템의 사용성을 평가하여 다양한 교과목이 존재하는 대학교육을 대상으로 실제 응용에서 활용 가능함을 보인다.

생태적가치 기반의 오대산국립공원 보전지구 재설정 방안 연구 (Re-establishment of a Conservation Area in Odaesan(Mt.) National Park based on Ecological Values)

  • This study aimed to re-establish the conservation area reflecting landscape ecological value through scenario program, targeting Odaesan National Park. The basic data were mapped in watershed planning units, which were set considering topographical and ecological values. The framework of Marxan with Zones, using an indexation process, was using the mapped indicators. Each best solution according to the scenarios was assessed through sensitivity analysis, and a final solution was selected among the best solutions, considering criteria including area ratio of conservation area and grouping. Lastly, the final solution was verified in the overlap analysis with recent zonation. As a result, through the framework of Marxan with Zones, the best solution of scenario 1, which was set by the highest conservation criteria was selected as the final solution, and the area ratio of conservation area and grouping was excellent. As for the overlap analysis, the suggested conservation area was improved compared to recent zonation in terms of the area ratio (39.4%), biotope grade I (35.6%) and the distribution points (7 places) of legally protected species.

A Region Based Approach to Surface Segmentation using LIDAR Data and Images

  • Surface segmentation aims to represent the terrain as a set of bounded and analytically defined surface patches. Many previous segmentation methods have been developed to extract planar patches from LIDAR data for building extraction. However, most of them were not fully satisfactory for more general applications in terms of the degree of automation and the quality of the segmentation results. This is mainly caused from the limited information derived from LIDAR data. The purpose of this study is thus to develop an automatic method to perform surface segmentation by combining not only LIDAR data but also images. A region-based method is proposed to generate a set of planar patches by grouping LIDAR points. The grouping criteria are based on both the coordinates of the points and the corresponding intensity values computed from the images. This method has been applied to urban data and the segmentation results are compared with the reference data acquired by manual segmentation. 76% of the test area is correctly segmented. Under-segmentation is rarely founded but over-segmentation still exists. If the over-segmentation is mitigated by merging adjacent patches with similar properties as a post-process, the proposed segmentation method can be effectively utilized for a reliable intermediate process toward automatic extraction of 3D model of the real world.

Fuzzy PID Control by Grouping of Membership Functions of Fuzzy Antecedent Variables with Neutrosophic Set Approach and 3-D Position Tracking Control of a Robot Manipulator

  • This paper aims to design of the neutrosophic fuzzy-PID controller and it has been compared with the conventional fuzzy-PID controller for position tracking control in terms of robustness. In the neutrosophic fuzzy-PID controller, error (e) and change of error (ce) were assessed separately on two fuzzy inference systems (FISs). In this study, the designed method is different from the conventional fuzzy logic controller design, membership degrees of antecedent variables were determined by using the T(true), I(indeterminacy), and F(false) membership functions. These membership functions are grouped on the universe of discourse with the neutrosophic set approach. These methods were tested on three-dimensional (3-D) position-tracking control application of a spherical robot manipulator in the MATLAB Simulink. In all tests, reference trajectory was defined for movements of all axes of the robot manipulator. According to the results of the study, when the moment of inertia of the rotor is changed, less overshoot ratio and less oscillation are obtained in the neutrosophic fuzzy-PID controller. Thus, our suggested method is seen to be more robust than the fuzzy-PID controllers.

C4.5 알고리즘을 이용한 산업 재해의 특성 분석 (A Feature Analysis of Industrial Accidents Using C4.5 Algorithm)

  • Decision tree algorithm is one of the data mining techniques, which conducts grouping or prediction into several sub-groups from interested groups. This technique can analyze a feature of type on groups and can be used to detect differences in the type of industrial accidents. This paper uses C4.5 algorithm for the feature analysis. The data set consists of 24,887 features through data selection from total data of 25,159 taken from 2 year observation of industrial accidents in Korea For the purpose of this paper, one target value and eight independent variables are detailed by type of industrial accidents. There are 222 total tree nodes and 151 leaf nodes after grouping. This paper Provides an acceptable level of accuracy(%) and error rate(%) in order to measure tree accuracy about created trees. The objective of this paper is to analyze the efficiency of the C4.5 algorithm to classify types of industrial accidents data and thereby identify potential weak points in disaster risk grouping.

  • Many literatures, so far, have concentrated on approaches employing dependent coordinates set resulting in computational burden of constraint forces, which is needless in many cases. Some researchers developed methods to remove or calculate it efficiently. But systematic generation of the motion equation using independent coordinates set by Kane's equation is possible for any closed loop system. Independent velocity transformation method builds the smallest size of motion equation, but needs practically more complicated code implementation. In this study, dependent velocity matrix is systematically transformed into independent one using dependent-independent transformation matrix of each body group, and then motion equation free of constraint force is constructed. This method is compared with the other approach by counting the number of multiplications for car model with 15 d.o.f..
