An Analysis on the Economical Efficiency for the Travel Aids Service through RFID (RFID를 활용한 길안내 서비스의 경제성 분석)

  • This paper presents an economic analysis for the travel aids service system for visually handicapped persons through RFID (Radio Frequency Identification). This research estimates both cost and economic effect of the service. By using input-output analysis technique, three kinds of repercussion effects - domestic production, value added, and workers induced by the travel aids service - are also calculated. To evaluate the profitability of the service, we investigate the procedures through which the service has an effect on the interested parties and develop formulas describing the procedures. The benefit of the service have been generally obtained by measuring the willingness to pay (WTP). This paper, however, obtains the monetary value of benefit by estimating the parameters of the formulas, so that a close improvement of the service may be possible with the result of the economic analysis.

A Comparison of Hygiene and Safety Management Execution depending on the Characteristics of Children's Food Service Facilities (어린이 급식소 특성에 따른 위생·안전관리 수행도 비교)

  • The objective of the current study was to compare the execution of hygiene and safety management according to the characteristics of children's food service stations, with the ultimate objective of providing sanitary and safe food service to children. To this end, the study conducted surveys of 73 public and private pre-schools with fewer than 100 children in district A from July 30 to October 31 2015. The differences were evaluated by t-test and analysis of variance. The confidence and validity of the results were analyzed by six food ingredient and facilities management questions, three personal hygiene and facilities management questions, four environmental management questions, and five storage and treatment management questions; for a total of 18 questions. The cumulative distribution of the four factors was 61.569%, and the Cronbach's alpha was 0.821, which indicated that the results were reliable. The results revealed that public pre-schools (a) and home-based pre-schools (b) had different levels of food ingredient and facility management, but no differences in the number of cooks, number of children served, type of food distribution, and the existence of mass food service facilities. The results of the study may be used to develop hygiene and safety management manual and educational contents to promote the health of the children served.

  • Recently, Domestic situation have been occurred lots of accidents related with disaster and safety including Sewolho Accident. Nevertheless there is insufficient about IoT recognition service technics. Furthermore mosf of people aware of M2M and IoT technics, but there is no service system at a whole perspective. Goverment have been discuss about that disaster and saftey but it is hard to construct that service system. In this paper, we suggest a process and technology about IoT recognition service on disaster and safety.

  • The usual reasons for elderly safety accidents include lack of care for disaster, physical disability, and an error of judgment and so on. But it is true that accidents will occur continuously with the afore-mentioned causes. Against the elderly safety accidents, safety is the main prerequisite for leading the successful and easy life in the elderly. Therefore, this study is purposed to provide the way of thinking about elderly safety issues by suggesting the methods and contents of education program. This study is specifically focused on developing audio-visual materials involved in all the safety accidents and researching the effect of safety education ability through materials with a view to identify the substantial problems. Education program should make a continuous and long term study so that the curricula of the safety accidents prevention education can be done systematically.

Evaluation of Performance and Service Life of Low Pressure LPG Regulators for Home Use

  • This paper presents the evaluation of LPG (Liquefied petroleum gas) regulators for home use. For the evaluation, several properties of the regulators were experimentally analyzed, such as the operation of safety device, the adjusting and lock-up pressure, the adjusting spring and the diaphragm, with respect to the used time of the regulators. Experimental results showed that the initial operation performances of regulators were degraded with increase of the service time and also showed that the degradation of the performance and material property could become serious after about six-year-use of the regulators.

Effect of Nurses' Emotional Labor on Customer Orientation and Service Delivery: The Mediating Effects of Work Engagement and Burnout

  • Background: The emotional labor performed by organization members affects psychological well-being at the individual level, which consequently affects results at the organizational level. Moreover, despite evidence that the customer orientation and service level of nurses greatly affect hospital management, studies that comprehensively analyze emotional labor, work burnout, and work engagement related to customer orientation and service level are lacking. This study investigated relationships and paths by designing a model of the effect of emotional labor performed by nurses on the level of service delivery and customer orientation. Methods: This survey-based study was based on a path analysis designed to verify a hypothesized model involving emotional labor performed by nurses, level of service delivery, customer orientation, work engagement, and burnout. Questionnaires were distributed to 378 nurses in general hospitals with more than 500 beds located in Seoul, Republic of Korea, between March 25 and April 8, 2013. Results: The results showed that deep acting and work engagement had direct and indirect effects on increasing the level of service delivery and customer orientation of nurses. However, surface acting had an indirect effect on reducing the level of service delivery and customer orientation. Conclusion: It would be more effective to develop interventions to enhance deep acting and work engagement than to attempt to reduce surface acting and work burnout in clinical nursing settings.

Relationships among personal and organizational communication skills, occupational stress, and patient safety activities of nursing workforce working in the integrated nursing care service ward (간호·간병통합서비스병동 간호사와 간호보조인력의 개인 및 조직 의사소통능력, 직무스트레스와 환자안전활동의 관계)

  • Purposes: This study aimed to identify the relationships among personal and organizational communication skills, occupational stress, and patient safety activity levels of two nursing workforce groups (nurses and nursing assistants) who provide integrated nursing care services. Methodology: The study design is a cross-sectional study. Seventy-one nurses and forty-three nursing assistants working in the integrated nursing care service wards participated in this study. The data were collected using a self-reported questionnaire from June to July 2021. The relationships among the variables were analyzed using the Pearson correlation coefficient. Findings: Nurses' personal communication skills (r=.294, p=.013), organizational communication skills (r=.408, p<.001), and occupational stress (r=.243, p=.041) were associated with their patient safety activities. However, nursing assistants' personal communication skills, organizational communication, and occupational stress were not correlated with their patient safety activities. Practical Implication: Patient safety activities of nurses were related to their communication skills and occupational stress, but nurse assistants were not. Therefore, nurses should encourage nursing assistants to responsibly engage in patient safety activities and supervise their works appropriately to achieve high-quality care.

  • This paper reviewed the relationship between perceived justice and service quality, and the moderating effect of gender in the franchise system of food service business. Based on the responses from 135 franchisees, the results of multiple regression analysis showed that distributive and procedural justice have positive relationships with almost service quality factors. The results of moderating analysis showed that male franchisees have more positive relationships with almost service quality factors than female franchisee while in distributive justice, and that female franchisees have more positive relationships with almost service quality factors than male franchisee while in procedural justice.

  • Logistics companies want to be competitive companies in fierce logistics market and are worrying about securing of differentiated competitiveness for it. The standards judging if logistics industry maintains the competitiveness are based on the satisfaction of users due to the well-established service system that can response not only economic feasibility of logistics costs such as transportation costs, storage costs, unloading charges, information costs, etc. but also diversity and upgradability of logistics needs. Therefore, this study focuses on seeking of service quality improvements with VBSD(Value Based Service Design) model focusing on customer value factors based on Kano model and QFD based service design approach from angles of customer value improvement and service costs reduction.

A Study on Correction Approach for the Life Safety Index for Personalized Services Based on User Profiles (생활안전 예방서비스 사용자 프로파일 기반 맞춤형 서비스를 위한 생활안전지수 보정 방안 연구)

  • This study introduces a study on the adjustment methods of the Life Safety Index. The Life Safety Index is a service provided by the Life Safety Prevention Service System. It comprehensively evaluates individuals' levels of safety in their daily lives, continually monitors their safety status, and presents a comprehensive index to prevent safety accidents in advance. Previous studies have developed the Life Safety Index using evaluation criteria (items) for assessing life safety prevention services, incorporating both the AHP (Analytic Hierarchy Process) and Likert Scale techniques. In this study, we build upon this existing Life Safety Index and explore methods for applying adjustment factors based on individuals' characteristics to enhance its accuracy and customization. We develop adjustment factors using existing national statistics to provide personalized services tailored to individual profiles. Therefore, this paper proposes a method for providing customized services by applying adjustment factors to the Life Safety Index, contributing to the development and application of life safety index adjustment methodologies.
