The Proposals of Identity Escrow Scheme to Control User's Anonymity (사용자의 익명성을 제어하는 신원 위탁 방식 제안)

  • We introduce the concept of a Identity Escrow Scheme, an application of key escrow ideas to solve the problem of authentication. In the Identity Escrow Scheme, the User escrows a own real identity to the Issuer and receives a Authentication Information. In authentication step, between the User to the Service Provider, the User only gives a Authentication Information to the Service Provider. Therefore, the Service Provider don't know a real identity of user's. However, when the User does unlawful actions, the Lawful Agent is called by the Service Provider, and his anonymity is revoked by cooperation of the Issuer and the Lawful Agent. We propose new Identity Escrow Schemes and analyze these.

A Mutual P3P Methodology for Privacy Preserving Context-Aware Systems Development (프라이버시 보호 상황인식 시스템 개발을 위한 쌍방향 P3P 방법론)

  • One of the big concerns in e-society is privacy issue. In special, in developing robust ubiquitous smart space and corresponding services, user profile and preference are collected by the service providers. Privacy issue would be more critical in context-aware services simply because most of the context data themselves are private information: user's current location, current schedule, friends nearby and even her/his health data. To realize the potential of ubiquitous smart space, the systems embedded in the space should corporate personal privacy preferences. When the users invoke a set of services, they are asked to allow the service providers or smart space to make use of personal information which is related to privacy concerns. For this reason, the users unhappily provide the personal information or even deny to get served. On the other side, service provider needs personal information as rich as possible with minimal personal information to discern royal and trustworthy customers and those who are not. It would be desirable to enlarge the allowable personal information complying with the service provider's request, whereas minimizing service provider's requiring personal information which is not allowed to be submitted and user's submitting information which is of no value to the service provider. In special, if any personal information required by the service provider is not allowed, service will not be provided to the user. P3P (Platform for Privacy Preferences) has been regarded as one of the promising alternatives to preserve the personal information in the course of electronic transactions. However, P3P mainly focuses on preserving the buyers' personal information. From time to time, the service provider's business data should be protected from the unintended usage from the buyers. Moreover, even though the user's privacy preference could depend on the context happened to the user, legacy P3P does not handle the contextual change of privacy preferences. Hence, the purpose of this paper is to propose a mutual P3P-based negotiation mechanism. To do so, service provider's privacy concern is considered as well as the users'. User's privacy policy on the service provider's information also should be informed to the service providers before the service begins. Second, privacy policy is contextually designed according to the user's current context because the nomadic user's privacy concern structure may be altered contextually. Hence, the methodology includes mutual privacy policy and personalization. Overall framework of the mechanism and new code of ethics is described in section 2. Pervasive platform for mutual P3P considers user type and context field, which involves current activity, location, social context, objects nearby and physical environments. Our mutual P3P includes the privacy preference not only for the buyers but also the sellers, that is, service providers. Negotiation methodology for mutual P3P is proposed in section 3. Based on the fact that privacy concern occurs when there are needs for information access and at the same time those for information hiding. Our mechanism was implemented based on an actual shopping mall to increase the feasibility of the idea proposed in this paper. A shopping service is assumed as a context-aware service, and data groups for the service are enumerated. The privacy policy for each data group is represented as APPEL format. To examine the performance of the example service, in section 4, simulation approach is adopted in this paper. For the simulation, five data elements are considered: $\cdot$ UserID $\cdot$ User preference $\cdot$ Phone number $\cdot$ Home address $\cdot$ Product information $\cdot$ Service profile. For the negotiation, reputation is selected as a strategic value. Then the following cases are compared: $\cdot$ Legacy P3P is considered $\cdot$ Mutual P3P is considered without strategic value $\cdot$ Mutual P3P is considered with strategic value. The simulation results show that mutual P3P outperforms legacy P3P. Moreover, we could conclude that when mutual P3P is considered with strategic value, performance was better than that of mutual P3P is considered without strategic value in terms of service safety.

  • A PDA has limitation of storage space and inconvenience of Pen-based equipment to input. To solve these problems, this paper implemented that previous Speech Recognition provides using XML(extensile Markup Language) Web Service and PDA Client is possible to use speech command by request Speech Recognition Web Service. This system consists of Mobile Client and Speech Recognition Web Service Provider. The Mobile Client transmits user information and speech data to the Speech Recognition Web Service Provider using DIME(Direct Internet Message Encapsulation). The Speech Recognition Web Service Provider returns recognition results and user name only to an authorized Mobile Client. So We are able to use speech service without installing Speech Recognition or Speech DB in PDA.

  • Recently, as technology for obtaining locational awareness and wireless telecommunications improve, technologies and services involving Telematics has grown rapidly. However, the services are currently available on certain terminals selected by the telematics service provider (TSP). This means in order to access services provided by other TSPs, it is necessary to purchase related terminals. To solve this problem, it is essential to achieve service interoperability between TSPs, or between TSPs and the contents provider (CP). Under this backdrop, the aim of this paper is to design and implement a telematics service framework for openning services in a heterogeneous network environment. Futhermore, the paper presents open telematics protocols required for communication in the telematics service framework, and develop technologies to deal with this in different network environments.

  • Premium Service is the next service to be developed after the Freephone Service and Credit Call Service which has currently been developed and is being now tested. Premium Service is a service which provide information on a telephone line. The calls are charged with a special rate which includes service and call charge. Public telecommunication operator performs charging and accounting from the service user for the service provider and for every service provided subtracts the commission from the part of service revenue and gives the rest back to the service provider. This paper is about the study on the implementation of the Premium Service in the Service Switching Point.

Critical Factors Affecting the Choice of Logistics Service Provider: An Empirical Study in Vietnam

  • The trend of globalization leads an increased need for international freight transportation and accelerates the development of the international logistics industry. The objective of this paper is to identify the critical factors that affect the choice of logistics service provider (LSP). The data sample was collected through a questionnaire, responded by 218 companies that outsource logistics services. The analysis uses descriptive statistics; exploratory factor analysis (EFA) and regression analysis were conducted with SPSS. The role of capabilities, customer service, and company reputation were evaluated and tested. Our findings show that capabilities and customer service have a considerable impact on the choice of LSP. The findings also indicate that company reputation do not have significant impact on the choice of LSP. They also showed that the capabilities is the variable that has the most significant effect on the choice of LSP. An implication of this study is that the competition should not only focus on pricing, but should be extended to improving enterprises capabilities, i.e., upgrading human resources, modernizing the modes of transportation, expanding business geographically and developing new technologies. Our study provides LSP managers with insights into how to meet customer expectations in the competitive logistics service sector.

  • In this study, we investigated the effects of service quality on customer satisfaction in education service industry, focusing on the opinion of dissatisfied customers who have decided to switch the service provider. Additionally, in professional service industries such as law, hospital, and education, customers expect visible results which are often ignored in earlier service quality studies. Customer's comprehensive assessment of the professional service depends on both process quality experienced during service delivery and service result perceived after service delivery. The hypotheses on the causal relationships among service quality, customer satisfaction, intention to switch service provider, and service performance were tested by using Structural Equation Model.

  • This thesis defines an end-to-end billing process model. The processes in the model can be mapped to the TMN(Telecommunications Management Network) model which is based on an international telecommunications management standard. We have identified two interfaces in this billing process model. Part 1 of this thesis provides a protocol-independent design of the UAI(Usage Accounting interface) between the service provider and the network provider. Part 2 of this thesis provides information modeling of the UMI(Usage Metering Interface) between the network provider and the equipment provider. This interface is applied to the B-ICI(Broadband ISDN Inter-Carrier Interface) environment.

  • It is very important for the logistics business success that Third-Party Provider maintains a successful logistical relationship with customers. The important factors for the successful logistical relationship are customer orientation, service timeliness, reciprocal dependability, keeping long-term relationships, and logistics cost savings. Therefore, Third-Party Provider establishes the logistics strategy based on the reciprocal dependability with customers and the long-term of view. In addition, the logistics strategy provides the logistics services satisfying customers and saving logistics cost.

  • Service Level Agreement (SLA) is a service providing scheme by a service class agreement between a user and a service provider SLA allows that a user can select an expected service class in various service classes provided from a service provider. Recently, SLA management is adapted to support the end-to-end Qos for service users in Beyond 3 Generation (B3G) networks. In B3G networks, SLA provides multiple service classes on access networks so that service classes should be managed to assure the service satisfaction for users. In this paper, we propose a dynamic Qos management scheme by IP traffic class controlling based on SLA in B3G networks. Also, to manage dynamic traffic service, we consider Differentiated services (Diffserv) mechanism for the resource management by SLA. An If service traffic class on SLA can be dynamically changed by Diffserv traffic management to support dynamic end-to-end Qos. Hence, in this paper, we consider the buffer threshold scheme for controlling traffic loads and the traffic level control scheme for implementing the dynamic traffic management by the SLA.
