항공 기내식의 서비스 품질에 대한 고객 기대도와 인지도 측정 (The Measurement of Expected and Perceived Service Quality of In-flight Meal by Customers)

  • The current exploratory study attempted to investigate the levels of expected and perceived service quality of in-flight meals. A questionnaire was developed following extensive literature review and in-depth interviews. The survey was conducted on board a flight by international passengers and also by passengers in the trans lounge waiting for connecting flights between October 21, 2005 through October 30, 2005. Out of the 450 questionnaires administered, a total of 319 completed questionnaires were returned, yielding a response rate of 89.6%. The 20 items representing the service quality factor of in-flight meals were analyzed, resulting in four distinct dimensions-food quality, employee service, cleanliness and reliability. In all dimensions, customer expectation was higher than the perceived level of service and the service quality of Korean based airlines was higher than that compared to foreign based airlines. There were differences in the perceived service quality of in-flight meals according to the demographics of the respondents. The results of this study can be beneficial from a theoretical and practical point of view by providing empirical data that measures the service quality of in-flight meals.

리더의 피드백은 종업원의 창의적 문제해결 행동을 촉진시키는가? 종업원의 피드백 수용정도와 직무 복잡성의 3차항 상호작용효과 (When and How does Leader Feedback Promote Employee Creative Problem-solving Behavior? A Three-way Interaction Model of Employee Feedback Acceptance and Task Complexity)

  • Purpose: This paper investigates the effects of leader feedback on employee creative problem-solving behavior. It also explores the relevant conditions that maximize the above relationship from the psychological trait and task nature perspectives. Specifically we examine how employee feedback acceptance and task complexity moderate the relationship between leader's feedback behavior on follower creative problem-solving behavior. Finally the three-way interaction among leader's feedback behavior, employee feedback acceptance and task complexity is analyzed for the best conditions to maximize the positive effect of leader's feedback on creative problem solving behavior. Methods: This paper used a cross-sectional design with questionnaires administered to 411 employees working in Korean manufacturing and service firms. It applied a hierarchical regression analysis to test the hypothesized relationships including three-way interaction effect among leader's feedback behavior, follower feedback acceptance and task complexity on follower creative problem-solving behavior. Results: The empirical results of the paper indicated that the leader feedback behavior had enhanced employee creative problem-solving behavior. It was also found that follower feedback acceptance and task complexity positively moderated the relationship between leader's feedback and follower problem solving behavior. In addition, the test of three-way interaction effects also revealed that the higher the levels of both employee feedback acceptance and task complexity, the greater the positive effect of leader feedback behavior on employee creative problem solving behavior. Conclusion: This paper contributes to the leadership and creativity literatures by identifying the role of leader's behavior enhancing employee creative problem-solving behavior and the specific conditions strengthening the positive effect of leader feedback behavior on employee creative problem-solving behavior.

프랜차이즈 호텔의 LMX가 종업원의 직무스트레스, 직무역할성과, 그리고 충성도에 미치는 영향 (Effects of LMX on Work Stressors, Work Role Performance, and Employee Loyalty in Franchising Hotels)

  • Purpose - In hotel industry, quality of leader-member exchange(LMX) relationship is very critical, because it impacts on the employee's work attitude and behaviors. Thus, this research examines the effect of LMX on employee loyalty in the context of hotel business and identifies mediating roles of work stressors, work role performance in the relationship between LMX and employee loyalty. This research suggests the guidelines for how hotel leaders should manage their employees and build employee loyalty that improve management and business performance. Research design, data, and methodology - This study tests the structural relationship between LMX, work stressors, work role performance, and employee loyalty. Work role performance divide into three sub-dimensions such as individual task proficiency, individual task adaptivity, and individual task proactivity. In order to examine the purposes of this research, research model and hypotheses were developed. All constructs were measured with multiple items developed and tested in the previous studies. The data were collected from 113 franchise hotel employees and were analyzed using SPSS 22.0 and SmartPLS 3 program. Result - The findings of this research are as follows. First, leader-member exchange(LMX) have significant positive impacts on work stressors, work role performance, and employee loyalty. Second, work stressors have significant negative impacts on work role performance and employee loyalty. Third, work role performance has significant positive impact on employee loyalty. Conclusions - The outcomes of this research indicate that hotel leaders should focus on the dyadic relationship with their employees how to improve employee productivity through LMX relationship. In turn, the quality of this relationship influences employees's work attitudes and behaviors. As a result of increasing job demands in hotel business which relies heavily on human resources, the hotel leader must find ways to prevent or reduce stressors and associated strains. If hotel employees perceive the high quality of LMX relationship, they improve their work role performance which influences loyalty. Therefore, the hotel leaders should develop monetary or non-monetary reward system for the employees and, make an efforts to have unique social exchange relationships with employees.

기업체 복지시설의 실내디자인 방향에 관한 연구 -직원식당을 중심으로- (A Study on the Direction of the Interior Deisgn of Welfare Facility -Focus on Cafeteria for Employee-)

  • As the trend shows that corporate investment for staff's welfare facilities has increased alongside employee's enhanced economic and conscious level which has resulted from economic growth and industrialization this study aims at analyzing interior design elements in staff's welfare facilites especially in cafeteria and suggesting new directions for designing those spaces. The method and scope of this study in firstly to described general points such as function and role of public food service and interior design elements in staff's cafeteria and then to grasp and analyze the present conditions of the staff's cafeteria for enterprises and financial organizations which has been built after 1990. The conclusion of his study can be summarized as follows : First it is desirable to locate employee's cafeteria on upper or top floor which has relatively good atmosphere. Second it is recommended to make overall atmosphere of employee's cafeteria impressive and in commercial restaurant. Third the separation of service circulation serveries and eating area is necessary. Fourth material for each parts should be easy to maintain and durable. Fifth more illuminance that the regulation is recommended and lighting fixture should be selected in terms of economics and maintenance. Sixth selecting bright and warm colors with partial application of accent colors is effective. Seventh furniture should be harmonized with the ambience of the space and required to be convenient and durable. Eighth to provide visual and auditory pleasure during eating it is desirable to equip the minimal A/V system. In addition diverse aspects such as improving employee's welfare caring for company the way of treating employee an boosting corporate images should be considered when designing staff's cafeteria and interior designer should be able to satis managerial aspects productivity and effectiveness as well as pursuing functional aesthetic facts.

  • 본 연구는 외식산업 종사원의 자기효능감, 자기존중감과 소진 간의 영향관계를 파악하여 외식산업의 인적자원관리의 효율성을 제고하는데 그 목적이 있다. 이러한 연구목적을 달성하기 위하여 문헌적 연구와 구조모형분석을 이용한 실증적 연구를 함께 실시하였으며, 분석결과를 바탕으로 외식산업의 인적자원관리 방안을 제시하였다.

  • 현대해상화재보험은 내부고객 특히 접점 종업원들의 중요성을 인식하고 내부고객을 만족시킴으로써 외부고객 만족도를 높이고자 하는 노력을 지속적으로 기울여왔다. 그러한 노력의 결과로 대부분의 경쟁사들이 매출 감소를 경험하고 있는 어려운 시장 환경 속에서도 지속적인 성장을 거둠으로써 고객만족 경영의 모범을 보여주고 있다. 본 사례에서는 현대해상화재보험이 실행한 내부마케팅 전략들을 자세히 살펴봄으로써 종업원들을 대상으로 한 내부 고객만족이 어떻게 외부고객 만족과 연결되는지 확인하고, 시사점과 향후 과제를 제시하였다.

노인요양시설 종사자의 감정노동행동이 직무소진과 서비스품질에 미치는 영향: 감성리더십의 조절효과 (The Effect of Emotional Labor Behavior of Employee at Geriatric Long-Tern Care Facilities on Job Burnout and Service Quality: Moderating Effect of Emotional Leadership)

  • 이 연구의 필요성은 노인요양시설 종사자의 근무환경의 질, 복지개선이 시설이용 어르신들의 양질의 서비스 제공을 위해 노인요양시설 종사자들을 대상으로 감정노동행동이 직무소진과 서비스품질에 미치는 영향과 감성리더십을 중심으로 효과를 규명하는데 있다. 연구결과를 요약하면 다음과 같다. 첫째, 감정노동행동 중 내면행동이 직무소진의 부의 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났으며, 표면행동에는 정의 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 또한, 감정노동행동이 서비스품질에도 정의 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 둘째, 감성리더십은 감정노동행동 중 내면행동에서 정서적 고갈과 개인적 성취감저하에서만 조절효과를 보였으며, 표면행동에는 비인격화에서 조절효과가 나타났다. 셋째, 감성리더십은 감정노동행동 중 표면행동과 서비스 품질에서는 유형성, 신뢰성, 확신성 요인에서 감성리더십의 조절효과가 나타났다. 따라서 노인요양시설 종사자의 근무여건 개선과 노인요양시설 이용 노인들의 서비스 품질 향상을 위한 앞으로도 많은 연구들이 이루어져야 하겠다.

'블랙컨슈머 행동'과 종사원의 조직일탈행동 : 격려의 조절효과 ('Black Consumer Behavior' and Organizational Misbehavior : The Moderating Effects of encourage)

  • 본 연구의 목적은 서비스 산업에서 고객의 '블랙컨슈머 행동'을 지각한 종사원이 조직에 미치는 부정적 행동인 '조직일탈행동'에 미치는 영향과 조직내 '격려'의 조절효과를 분석을 통해 관리적 시사점의 제공이다. 특히, Adler(1991)는 격려가 개인의 인지적 도식 틀에 긍정적 기대를 주입하는 것으로 인지, 정서, 행동에 긍정적 영향을 미친다고 주장(Dinkmeyer and Losoncy, 1996)하였다. 이러한 Adler(1991) 주장을 근거로 고객의 블랙컨슈머 행동을 지각한 노동자의 반응행동에 대한 격려의 조절효과를 실증적으로 분석하였다. 선행연구를 바탕으로 블랙컨슈머 행동, 조직일탈행동, 격려에 대한 연구모형을 설계하였다. 2015년 11월 15일부터 12월 3일까지 부산지역 호텔, 카지노, 면세점 그리고 외식 서비스 종사원 323명을 대상으로 설문지를 배포하였다. 그 중 279부를 회수(회수율은 86.4%)하였고, 회수된 설문지 중에서 무성의한 응답 또는 무응답이 많은 부실응답 설문지를 제외하여 262부를 최종 분석에 사용하였다. 실증분석 결과 블랙컨슈머 행동은 조직일탈행동에 유의한 영향을 미치고, 격려는 블랙컨슈머 행동 중 과도성과 조직일탈행동에 대한 유의적인 조절효과가 있다는 결과를 확인할 수 있었다. 이러한 실증분석 결과를 바탕으로 블랙컨슈머에 노출된 서비스 노동자에 대한 관리적 시사점을 제공하였다.

의류매장에서 내부서비스품질이 직무만족과 조직성과에 미치는 영향 (Internal Service Quality, Employee Satisfaction, and Organizational Performance of Apparel Retailers)

  • Marketing strategists believe that the best way to satisfy customers is through satisfied employees. In fashion retail businesses, salespersons play a pivotal role for the success of business, since fashion products have emotional properties and customers' emotion is largely affected by personal selling at the point of purchases. The present study aims to examine relationships among internal service quality, job satisfaction, and organizational performance in fashion retail businesses. Specifically, the study will test the validity of applying service quality concept to the internal service targeting the sales person of fashion retailers and identify dimensions of internal service quality. Data were collected from salespersons of women's wear and imported brand stores at four major department stores. 205 survey responses were used for the final analysis. The factor analysis extracted empathy/tangibility, assurance, responsiveness and reliability factors. The structural path analysis and effect analysis indicated that the importance of assurance and responsiveness of internal service quality had significant direct effects on job satisfaction and significant indirect effects on organizational performance. Reliability dimension of internal service quality had a significant direct effect on job satisfaction. The importance of empathy/tangibility dimension, however, was relatively weak in the model.

  • The heart service of a receptionist who receives customers in the front line of a business has a great effect on the management of Company. Considering of this, this study offers a view that high job satisfaction of an employee who works eating-out businesses raises the quality of service and has a great influence upon satisfaction of customers. To support this view, the only original study were made. and for the management of human resources in the eating-industry, satisfaction factors, that have a great effect upon the characteristics of job satisfaction by vital statistics factors, are human relations, advancement, working surrounding. And we should recognize that among these, especially, human relations have d considerable effect on service offering degree and they are important variables for customers' satisfaction. In conclusion, service offers have a need to know how service products differed to customers are selected and appraised. Until now our recognition has been confined mainly to products themselves, but when service can exert its value much more. accordingly, under the recognition that job contentment has an effect on service offering and works as important variables for customers' satisfaction, employers should have incessant on job education of employees.
