  • XML(eXtensible Markup Language) based electronic catalog is very useful for searching target information because of its structural and contents based searching support capability. And XML document editing is easier than HTML because of XML document is divided by structure, contents and presentation. This paper is to present a prototype of XML based Electronic Catalog Management System(ECMS) whose system consists of data input, output and manipulation system for inserting, updating, editing and deletion. A proposed system could resolved the problems at virtual intermediary shopping mall invloved in the difficulty of interoperability when customer try to compare similar products at mixed shopping mall and reduced web service costs at independent shopping mall by using XML format. The proposed ECMS offers rapid response capability for product data change of electronic catalog and easy and friendly interoperability among similar products.

  • Project management is critical for the success of the large and complicated IT project. Accordingly, to improve the efficiency of the project management, operation of separate Project Management Office (PMO) organization is getting important. Despite the appreciation of PMO as necessary for project success, the result has not always been positive. In this respect, we intended to formalize the PMO success model by incorporating necessary factors related to PMO services and capabilities, and their relationship. Empirical testing results verified critical antecedents comprising PMO services, which included schedule, quality, budget and others. Furthermore, moderating impacts of PMO capabilities are quantitatively assessed. The research findings offer practical insights for successful management of PMO.

Distribution Competitive Advantage of Vietnamese Fintech Enterprises and its Impact on Dynamic Capabilities

  • Purpose: The study has identified factors affecting dynamic capabilities and the distribution of competitive advantage under the impact of dynamic capabilities of Vietnamese fintech businesses. Research design, data, and methods: The method used in this study is a survey analysis of 120 Vietnamese fintech businesses to test the hypothesized relationships of the research model as well as evaluate its effectiveness. The study uses the Cronbach alpha analysis, factor analyses, and structural equation modeling to assess the research's measurement and structural models. Results: Research results show that 3 critical success factors: "Capacity to develop financial service ideas," "Ability to develop a platform," and "Business capacity" have a positive impact on "Dynamic capabilities." In addition, the study also evaluates the effect of "dynamic capabilities" on the "competitive advantage" of fintech businesses. Conclusion: Theoretically, this result contributes to discovering new, specific factors affecting the dynamic capabilities of fintech businesses. In practice, the research results are empirical evidence of the distribution of competitive advantages of Vietnamese Fintech businesses and their impact on dynamic capabilities.

  • In this paper, we have designed and implemented mobile instant messenger which has extensible presence service capability. Most previous work on instant messaging system has some limitation with regard to interoperability and extensibility. To solve these problems, we have employed the presence service architecture of IETF. In order to provide extensible presence capability in the wireless mobile communication, we have employed the presence service attributes which are defined in OMA's IMPS architecture. In particular, we have designed and implemented the presence service libraries for manipulating the presence information in response to user's requirement. finally, we have developed the wireless E-mail service, employing the presence service architecture, to verity the extensibility.

  • Import Agency Service Mall, which provide customers not only with convenient shopping experiences but also with purchasing, warehousing, shipping, and customs clearance services, have been playing a significant role in rapidly transforming Korean consumers into global consumers. The consumers' great demand for foreign goods(services) created Import Agency Service Mall(referred to hereafter as IASM) as a new business model of distribution and consumption, which seems to grow rapidly. Accordingly, this study examined the e-Trust by analyzing the characteristics of IASM, determinants of trust, risk perception and its association with e-Trust in IASM, and finally applying the result to general internet shopping mall(referred to hereafter as GISM). The following results came out from the analysis: First, from the result of checking these two types of internet shopping mall consumers have different determinants of trust. Second, from the question if two types perceive different risk, purchasing the foreign goods, it came out that they showed critical difference in variable relevant to goods delivery and customer service. IASM perceived risk from those two variables more than GISM Third, from the review of the relationships between determinants of trust and risk perception variables, IASM showed interrelation among all the variables except between customer service and perceived risk. Fourth, the researcher examined how the risk perceived in the course of purchasing goods has an effect on consumers e-Trust. In case of IASM, risk perception relevant to customer service had an effect on consumer e-Trust. To the contrary, incase of GISM, risk perception didn't have any effect on e-Trust. Finally, from the review of interrelation between determinants of trust and consumer e-Trust, it came out that for IASM capability had an effect on consumer e-Trust and for GISM consumer service had an effect on consumer e-Trust.

  • As developing of the internet and computer technology, more interests are gathered to the conference service which provides capability of multi-party real-time visual conference. In this paper, we have designed and implemented a SIP-based visual conference system which includes Presence service. The elements of this conference system are user system, which has conference UA(User Agent) capability, presence seuer and conference server. For the presence service, we have adapted publication method which uses SIP PUBLISH message, and with this service various status informations of users are easily acquired. Also invitations and involvements to the conference are easily made through this service. For the conference server which controls establishment and management of multi-party connections, we have included conference event package. This package provides dynamically changing conference informations and users informations through SIP subscription and notification functions.

  • The increasing complexity of avionics systems has emphasized the portability and reusability of software components. In this paper, a structural design method for IOSS (Input Output Service Segment) and TSS (Transport Service Segment) complying with the FACE (The Future Airborne Capability Environment) standard in the VxWorks 653 operating environment that satisfies ARINC 653 requirements is described. IOSS and TSS operate independently in different partitions to minimize time/space separation and the influence of other software, and to increase portability and reusability, strategy patterns among design patterns are applied. In addition, IOSS provides external interface service by applying distributed IO service structure, and among external interfaces, the ARINC 664 P7 interface of FACE-compliant equipment is placed in TSS to optimize the data movement path.

  • Over the past three decades, services have become the largest part of most industrialized nations' economies but it is the least-studied part of the economy. One approach is to develop a general theory of service with well-defined questions, tools, methods, and practical implications of society. The purpose of this study was to propose a service systems model to systematically approach a service research. For this purpose, we conducted literature review about business model and extant service systems researches. Based on a literature review, we propose a service systems model that comprises value proposition, participants, shared information/knowledge, organizational capability, value network, and technology. Implications for practice and recommendations for additional research were discussed.

  • This study was to develop improving vocational basic skill program and content which are basic of instruction-learning ability for the vocational education substantiality. To pursue this goal, 'interpersonal relation capability' among vocational basic skills was developed through the research methodology and procedure. The interpersonal relation capability was selected as one of vocational basic skill areas when it was more effective by e-learning contents through literature review, expert conference etc. The interpersonal relation capability can be harmony with persons under performing business tasks. In this study, interpersonal relation capability was programmed a interpersonal scheme, a cooperative capability, a leadership capability, a conflict management, negotiation capability, a customer service capability. Especially this program was developed as a form of e-Learning contents focusing on improving problem solving under real case using multimedia strategies such as movies, simulation, game.

  • The end-to-end rate-based control mechanism is used for the flow control of the ABR service to allow much more flexibility in ATM switching system. To accommodate the ABR service effciently many algorithms such as EFCI, EPRCA, ERICA, and CAPC2 have been proposed for the switch algorithm. ABR cells and related RM cells are received at the ATM switch fabric transparently without any processing. And then cells received from the traffic source are queued in the ABR buffer of switching system. The ABR buffer usually has some thresholds for easy congestion control signal transmission. Whatever we use, therefore, these can be many ABR traffic control algorithms to implement the ABR transfer capability. The genertion of congestion indicate signal for ABR control algorithms is determined by ABR buffer satus. And ABR buffer status is determined by ABR cells transfer ratio in ATM switch fabrics. In this paper, we presented the functional structures for control of the ABR traffic capability, proposed the readout scheduling, cell slot allocation of output link and the buffer allocation model for effective ABR traffic guranteeing with considering CBR/VBR traffics in ATM switch. Since the proposed readout scheduling scheme can provide more avaliable space to ABR buffer than existing readout scheduling scheme, generation rate of a SEND signal, that is, BCN signal in destination node can be increased for ABR call connection. Therefore, the proposed scheme, in this paper, can be appropriate as algorithm for effective ABR traffic service on output link of ATM switching node.
