Deviated nose is highly challenging in rhinoplasty since the surgeon should consider both aesthetic and functional aspects of the nose. Deviated nose correction is surgically complex, and a thorough understanding of the mechanical and physiological changes of intranasal structures, including the septum and turbinates, is necessary for functional improvement.

Septo-optic dysplasia is a congenital anomaly with diverse phenotypes from normal to mixtures of visual abnormality, endocrine dysfunction, psychomotor retardations and epileptic seizures. It is characterized by optic atrophy, pituitary dysfunction and midline structure abnormalities in corpus callosum or septum pellucidum. Diagnosis of septo-optic dysplasia plus is made when cortical malformations accompanied. Here we report a middle-aged woman with septo-optic dysplasia plus having unilateral optic atrophy, agenesis of septum pellucidum and cortical malformations.

37세 남자의 슬개상 점액낭내 외상성 출혈을 치험하여 보고하고자 한다. 둔탁한 외상 후 슬개상 부종과 통증이 지속되었고, 방사선 사진에서 비정상 소견은 보이지 않았지만, 자기 공명 영상의 시상면 사진상 액체액체층이 있는 고립된 슬개상 낭종이 관찰되었다. 관절경적 검사에서 완전한 격막의 슬개상 추벽이 있었고 슬관절내에 활액막염의 소견은 없었으며 슬개상 추벽을 절제하자 점액낭에 고여있던 혈액이 새어 나왔다. 슬개상 점액낭 내에 색소성 융모 결절성 활액막염이나 다른 종양을 의심할 만한 병변은 없었다. 수술 후 증상은 소실되었고 추시 6개월째 재발은 없었다.

We developed an optimal design interface based on VBA(Visual Basic Application) that takes advantage of API(Application Program Interface) function of commonly used EM analysis software. The developed interface is adopted for an optimal design of a septum in a waveguide tee junction using PSO(Particle Swarm Optimization) algorithm. The objective function of the optimal design is defined by $S_{11}$-parameter of the waveguide tee junction Design variables are established as position of the septum, that are changed to satisfy the design goal Using the developed design interface and PSO algorithm, the objective function converged to the smallest value, showing the validity of the proposed method. The design interface was developed using Microsoft Excel software, enabling easy control of design parameters for user. Also, various analysis parameters can be set in the Excel interface, including waveguide input mode and frequency. After completion of the design, field solutions at user-specified positrons can be extracted to the output files in complex number form.
