Flexible Intelligent Exit Sign Management of Cloud-Connected Buildings

  • Emergencies and disasters can happen any time without any warning, and things can change and escalate very quickly, and often it is swift and decisive actions that make all the difference. It is a responsibility of the building facility management to ensure that a proven evacuation plan in place to cover various worst scenario to handled automatically inside the facility. To mapping out optimal safe escape routes is a straightforward undertaking, but does not necessarily guarantee residents the highest level of protection. The emergency evacuation navigation approach is a state-of-the-art that designed to evacuate human livings during an emergencies based on real-time decisions using live sensory data with pre-defined optimum path finding algorithm. The poor decision on causalities and guidance may apparently end the evacuation process and cannot then be remedied. This paper propose a cloud connected emergency evacuation system model to react dynamically to changes in the environment in emergency for safest emergency evacuation using IoT based emergency exit sign system. In the previous researches shows that the performance of optimal routing algorithms for evacuation purposes are more sensitive to the initial distribution of evacuees, the occupancy levels, and the type and level of emergency situations. The heuristic-based evacuees routing algorithms have a problem with the choice of certain parameters which causes evacuation process in real-time. Therefore, this paper proposes an evacuee routing algorithm that optimizes evacuation by making using high computational power of cloud servers. The proposed algorithm is evaluated via a cloud-based simulator with different "simulated casualties" are then re-routed using a Dijkstra's algorithm to obtain new safe emergency evacuation paths against guiding evacuees with a predetermined routing algorithm for them to emergency exits. The performance of proposed approach can be iterated as long as corrective action is still possible and give safe evacuation paths and dynamically configure the emergency exit signs to react for real-time instantaneous safe evacuation guidance.

볶은 콩가루 첨가를 달리한 만두피의 특성 연구 (A Study on the Characteristics of Mandu-pi Differing in Roasted Soy Flour Content)

  • The purpose of this study was to investigate the effect of roasted soy f1our on the characteristics of Mandu-pi. Various Mandu-pi samples were prepared with wheat flour along with the addition of different amount of roasted soy flour. and then instrumental characteristics and sensory evacuation were investigated. As a result of amylography study, there were no difference In the initial pasting and maximum viscosity temperatures between samples. And maximum viscosity decreased with the increase of flour addition. In farinography study, the addition of roasted sop f1our did not affect the gelatinization temperature, while stability and developing time of dough increased by addition of soy flour level. Besides cooked weight, cooked volume and water absorption of Mandu-pi were also higher significantly than control. The more soy flour was added, the less lightness and more redness and yellowness were obtained. The result of sensory evaluation revealer that there were no differences between samples in beano aroma, smoothness, and chewness. However Mandu-pi added roasted soy flour showed higher scores in surface appreance, nutty aroma, nutty taste. sweet taste, and overall preferance than control.

밤호박을 이용한 즉석죽 제조 및 품질특성 (Preparation and Quality of Instant Gruel Using Pumpkin)

  • 밤호박를 이용한 가공식품을 개발하여 안정적인 내수기반을 마련하고자 밤호박과 몇가지 부재료를 이용하여 즉석죽을 제조한 결과는 다음과 같다. 밤호박 즉석죽은 증숙 밤호박 78.4%, 가열 옥수수 9.2%, 볶은 양파 4,6%, 삶은 통팥 6.9%, 설탕 0.6%, 소금 0.3% 비율로 배합했을 때 제품의 관능적 품질이 양호하였다. 즉석식품으로서 저장성을 확보하기 위해 12$0^{\circ}C$에서 20~60분간 열처리한 결과 제품의 색도는 낮아졌으나 산도와 점도는 증가하는 경향이었다. 제품의 열처리 효과를 검토하기 위해 37$^{\circ}C$에서 5일간 저장한 후 제품의 기호도를 조사하였을 때 12$0^{\circ}C$에서 30~40분 처리가 양호한 결과를 나타내었다.

이화여자대학교 학생들의 의료실태에 관한 조사 연구 (A Status of Student Sickness and Medical Care in University Health Service, Ewha Womans University)

  • A study was carried out in order to obtain the status of student sickness and medical care in University Health Service, Ewha Womans University. This study was based on the clinical records of University Health Service and hospitals 'for student insurance pay claims during the year of 1981. And the findings from the study were as follows; 1. A total number of student patients cared at University Health Service in 1981 was 9,822 and the incidence rate of primary cared was 773 per 1,000 students. 2. A total number of student patients cared at hospitals was 393 and the incidence rate of secondary cared was 31 per 1,000 students and 5 student out of 31 per 1000 was cared under the haspitalization. 3. The evacuation rate of student patients from University Health Service to hospital was 393 out of 9,822 student primary cared or 4.0 percent. 4. The order of 5 major diseases of primary cared in University Health Service was respiratory system diseases (36.6%), Digestive system diseases (17.4%), Skin and subcutaneous tissue diseases (16.0%), Symptoms and undetermined diagnosis (13.7%) and Nerve and sensory organ diseases (12.0%) respectively. 5. The disease order of student patients(333) cared in hospitals as out-patients was Skin and subcutaneous tissue diseases (40.3%), Nervous and Sensory organ disease (19.2%), Digestive system diseases (10.8%) respectively. 6. The disease order of student patients (60) cared in hospitals as in-patients was Digestive system diseases (35.0%), Respiratory system diseases (13.3%), Nerve and sensory organ diseases (10.0%), Infectious and parasitic diseases (10.0%), and Symptom and Undetermined diagonsis (10.0%) respectively. 7. The evacuation rate of student patients in University Health Service to hospital was varied according to disease groups; the lowest rate was the diseases evacuated to Internal Medicine Department 1.5% or 75 out of 5,072 patient primary cared and the highest rate was Neuropsychiatry department 63.7% or 7 out of 11 patients. 8. The monthly distribution of student patients in University Health Service was the highest in September (17.9%) and April (15.5%) each semester. 9. The monthly number of student patients treated in hospitals was the range 20 to 40 in out patients and 2 to 9 in in-patients. 10. The hospital ill days per case were $4.3{\pm}5.0$ days in out-patients and $9.7{\pm}9.5$ days in in-patients.

누에분말을 첨가한 절편의 영양성분 및 품질 특성 (Quality Characteristics of Julpyun added with Silkworm Powder)

  • 쌀가루에 누에가루를 0, 3, 6, 9%로 섞어서 누에분말 절편을 제조하여 일반성분, 관능검사, 색상검사, 조직감을 분석하였다. 그 결과 요약은 다음과 같다. 누에 분말의 첨가량이 증가할수록 수분, 조단백질, 조회분 모두가 증가하는 경향이었다. 관능검사 결과 색에서는 누에분말 6% 첨가한 절편이 가장 높은 선호도를 나타내었고 flavor는 누에 분말 3% 첨가한 절편이 가장 높은 선호도를 나타내었고 그 다음이 6% 첨가 절편이었으나 서로간의 유의적인 차이가 없었다. 또한 맛, 조직감, 전반적인 기호도는 모두 누에분말 3% 첨가한 절편이 높은 선호도를 나타내었다. 색도검사 결과 누에분말을 첨가량이 증가할수록 명도는 낮아졌고 적색도는 누에분말 6% 첨가한 절편이 가장 낮은 값을 보이긴 하였으나 유의적인 차이는 없었다. 황색도는 누에분말 6% 첨가한 절편이 가장 높은 값을 보였다가 9% 첨가 절편에서는 다소 낮아지는 경향을 나타내었다. 그러나 누에분말 3% 첨가한 절편과 비교하여 볼 때 현저히 증가된 값을 나타내었다. 조직감을 측정한 결과 경도는 누에분말의 첨가량이 증가할수록 높아졌고 응집성은 무첨가 절편이 114.9로 가장 높았으며 누에분말 3% 첨가한 절편이 104.9로 가장 낮았으나 유의적인 차이는 없었다. 점성과 부서짐성은 누에분말의 첨가량이 증가할수록 감소하는 경향이었고 누에분말 3% 첨가한 절편이 각각 높은 값을 나타내었다.

성상신경절차단 후 생긴 심한 후인두 혈종 -증례보고- (A Severe Retropharyngeal Hematoma after Stellate Ganglion Block -A case report-)

  • A 73-year-old man with sudden sensory neural hearing loss received a stellate ganglion block. Two hours after the block, the patient complained of newly developed neck discomfort. After an additional two hours, the neck swelled up gradually and neck pain and dyspnea developed. A plain radiograph of neck revealed narrowing of the upper airway; a tracheostomy was performed and the dyspnea was improved. On the next day, the pain site extended to the right scapula and a CT image revealed a huge retropharyngeal hematoma. Hematoma evacuation and bleeder ligation were then performed and the patient was discharged on the fourth day after admission without any complications. A practitioner should always remember to educate the patients about possible complications and undertake intensive observation when performing procedures, even in patients who do not initially present with a compromised airway.

자발성 척수내혈종 - 증례보고 - (Spontaneous Hematomyelia - Case Report -)

  • Hematomyelia is an extremely rare condition that cause severe neurological symptoms. We reported 4 cases of spontaneous hematomyelia, two cases of cavernous angioma and two cases of hematoma. In all patients, the clinical course was progressive ; motor and sensory abnormalities below the lesion and voiding difficulties were the common presenting symptom complex. The preoperative diagnosis was made by magnetic resonance imaging and the all patients underwent surgical exploration. Complete removal of hematoma was done in 3 patients and complete evacuation after aspiration of hematoma were performed in one patients. Neurological function did not worsen postoperatively in any patients. The early diagnosis with magnetic resonance imaging and immediate surgical treatment of the hematoma and the associated vascular malformation are considered to be the best way to halt the progression of the disease.
