  • This paper investigates the influence of social networks on the satisfaction and loyalty of online game users. We gather the resulting questionnaires written by all respondents and compare social networks of users in the online game world. Social networks of online game users influence a sense of community. In consequence, the community sense influences the satisfaction and loyalty of online game users, respectively. Therefore, the companies which produce an online game and provide various services to users should consider the social networks and communities of their game users. Especially they have to try to manage the users who are the opinion leaders of the online game. If the companies make good relationships with users who are the opinion leaders of the online game, they would easily improve the loyalty of ordinary users by performing word-of-moth marketing of the users' opinions concerning about the online game.

  • The purpose of this study was to evaluate the relationship between the tactile sensation and mechanical properties of towel. Six kinds of towels with different surface structure and fiber composition were used for this study. To evaluate the tactility of towel, 36 adjectives were collected and then 11 adjectives were selected. The subjective evaluation was examined by one to one comparative method and by blind test for estimating the only the sense of touch of the towels. Kawabata's Evaluation system for fabrics was used to measure the mechanical properties which are tensile, bending, shear, compression, surface, weight, and thickness of six towels. The results are as follows; First, surface structure of the towels had an effect on estimation the sense of touch. Pile surface was evaluated thicker, compacter, more cushiony, and more elastic. Waffle surface was evaluated knottier and rougher, and microfiber suede surface was evaluated softer and denser. Second, the highest value of the mechanical properties measured were G, 2HG, B, and SMD of 100% cotton 100% pile, WC, T, and W of elban loop pile, WT, 2HB, and LC of 100% cotton cut pile, RT and MIU of microfiber suede, and RC of microfiber waffle. Third, the 11 adjectives were correlated with more than one mechanical property. 'Knotty' and 'rough' were correlated with MMD and SMD, 'soft' were correlated with B, 2HB, MMD, and SMD. 'Thick', 'heavy', 'compact', and 'elastic' were correlated with WC, T, and W, 'cushiony' was correlated with WC. 'Stiff' was correlated with B and 2HB, 'dry out' was correlated with RT, WC, MIU, and T. 'Dense' was correlated with RT and SMD.

  • To solve the classification problems, various data mining techniques have been applied to database marketing, credit scoring and market forecasting. In this paper, we compare various techniques such as bagging, boosting, LASSO, random forest and support vector machine with the daily lens transaction data. The classical techniques-decision tree, logistic regression-are used too. The experiment shows that the random forest has a little smaller misclassification rate and standard error than those of other methods. The performance of the SVM is good in the sense of misclassfication rate and bad in the sense of standard error. Taking the model interpretation and computing time into consideration, we conclude that the LASSO gives the best result.

The analysis indicated that benefits were sought after functional/comfort, health, feminity, and compensation were found. First, breast cancer survivors considered functional/comfort to be most important benefit so as to keep the body comfortable from the weather. Second, participants put the healthy body as the first priority and chose a well-being lifestyle and were likely to wear clothes made in healthy fabric, such as organic, bamboo or charcoal. Also, they preferred to look active by wearing sport brands or outdoorwear brands. Third, after the surgery, they experienced the sense of femininity loss and the sense of crisis as a woman. Single women and married women in early 30s recognized more seriously, and they tried to recover feminity by wearing clothes with feminine details. Forth, breast cancer survivor consumers tended to shop for the psychological compensation. In summary, consumers with breast cancer surgery, unlike general healthy women, did not sought to be economic, fashion, self-expression benefits, rather they sought health, femininity, and compensation benefits. Therefore, it seems necessary to develop proper products and marketing strategy to meet the said consumer's special needs.

It is extremely important to provide visual information when communicating with consumers in the commercial arena because humans acquire over eighty percent of the information around them through sense of sight. One cannot compete with just sheer quality in today's world. Therefore, the applications of digital technology in the visual merchandising became crucial, for it can dramatically improve the market value. Among these applications is digital signage, a new media for esthetic experience. I strongly believe that this would be a new marketing tool for the brand's distinctive and unique publicity.
