  • In this paper, we discuss the development of monitoring system with data process equipment which transfers data from Remote Terminal Unit(RTU) to monitoring computer. The RTUs sense temperature, pressure and PLC(Programmable Logic Controller) nodes conditions of scrubber in semiconductor manufacture processing. The data Process equipment is connected every RTU and a monitoring computer through serial communication. This equipment receives informations from RTU, process data, and transfers them to monitoring computer. To avoid congestion in data communication, task scheduling algorithm used RT O/S(Real-Time Operating System) is embedded in ROM which is a part of data Process equipment.

  • A tangible floating display that can provide different perspective views without special glasses being introduced. The proposed system can display perspective floating images in the space in front of the system with the help of concave mirrors. In order to avoid wearing special equipment to interact and deliver the sense of touch, the proposed system adopted an ultrasound focusing technology. For providing an immersive experience to the viewers, the proposed system consists of a tangible floating display system and a multiple-view imaging system for generating three lenticular displays in front of the users.

Interference Avoidance through Pilot-Based Spectrum Sensing Algorithm in Overlaid Femtocell Networks

  • Co-channel interference between macro-femtocell networks is an unresolved problem, due to the frequency reuse phenomenon. To mitigate such interference, a secondary femtocell must acquire channel-state knowledge about a co-channel macrocell user and accordingly condition the maximum transmit power of femtocell user. This paper proposes a pilot-based spectrum sensing (PSS) algorithm for overlaid femtocell networks to sense the presence of a macrocell user over a channel of interest. The PSS algorithm senses the pilot tones in the received signal through the power level and the correlation metric comparisons between the received signal and the local reference pilots. On ensuring the existence of a co-channel macrocell user, the maximum transmit power of the corresponding femtocell user is optimized so as to avoid interference. Time and frequency offsets are carefully handled in our proposal. Simulation results show that the PSS algorithm outperforms existing sensing techniques, even at poor received signal quality. It requires less sensing time and provides better detection probability over existing techniques.

  • In animals, proper locomotion is crucial to find mates and foods and avoid predators or dangers. Multiple sensory systems detect external and internal cues and integrate them to modulate motor outputs. Proprioception is the internal sense of body position, and proprioceptive control of locomotion is essential to generate and maintain precise patterns of movement or gaits. This proprioceptive feedback system is conserved in many animal species and is mediated by stretch-sensitive receptors called proprioceptors. Recent studies have identified multiple proprioceptive neurons and proprioceptors and their roles in the locomotion of various model organisms. In this review we describe molecular and neuronal mechanisms underlying proprioceptive feedback systems in C. elegans, Drosophila, and mice.

Sensor Node Control Considering Energy-Efficiency in Wireless Sensor Networks (무선 센서 네트워크에서 에너지 효율성을 고려한 센서 노드 제어)

  • The life-time and performance of a wireless sensor network is closely related to energy-efficiency of sensor nodes. In this paper, to increase energy-efficiency, each sensor node operates in one of three operational modes which are normal, power-saving, and inactive. In normal mode sensor nodes sense and transmit data with normal period, whereas sensor nodes in power-saving mode have three-times longer period. In inactive mode, sensor nodes do not sense and transmit any data, which makes the energy consumption to be minimized. Plus, the proposed algorithm can avoid unnecessary energy consumption by preventing transmitting duplicate sensed data. We implemented and simulated the proposed algorithm using Tiny OS based ZigbeX platfom and NS-2, respectively. Performance evaluation results show that the proposed algorithm can prolong sensor networks' lifespan by efficiently reducing energy consumption and its standard deviation of all sensor nodes.

Optimal Path Planning in Redundant Sealing Robots (여유자유도 실링 로봇에서의 최적 경로 계획)

  • In this paper, we focus on a robotic sealing process in which three robots are used. Each robot can be considered as a 7 axis redundant robot of which the first joint is prismatic and the last 6 joints are revolute. In the factory floor, robot path planning is not a simple problem and is not automated. They need experienced operators who can operate robots by teaching and playing back fashion. However, the robotic sealing process is well organized so the relative positions and orientations of the objects in the floor and robot paths are all pre-determined. Therefore by adopting robotic theory, we can optimally plan robot pathes without using teaching. In this paper, we analyze the sealing robot by using redundant manipulator theory and propose three different methods for path planning. For sealing paths outside of a car body, we propose two methods. The first one is resolving redundancy by using pseudo-inverse of Jacobian and the second one is by using weighted pseudo-inverse of Jacobian. The former is optimal in the sense of energy and the latter is optimal in the sense of manipulability. For sealing paths inside of a car body, we must consider collision avoidance so we propose a performance index for that purpose and a method for optimizing that performance index. We show by simulation that the proposed method can avoid collision with faithfully following the given end effector path.

Factors Influencing the Provision of Personal Information in Electronic Government Services (전자정부서비스에 대한 개인정보제공의 영향요인)

  • Frequent outbreak of intrusion of private information is occurring recently not only at portal sites but also in electronic information service of public agencies. Due to these intrusions, it is observed that the citizens tend to avoid providing their private information even to the service for public agencies. Therefore, the object of this research can be explained as demonstrating the influence of the intention of provision for private information to foster the selectronic information ervice of the public agencies. In order to achieve this, this research intends to demonstrate how the experience of the intrusion of the private information affects the concern about the privacy and how the information factor from the public electronic information service has influence on the reliability toward the public. The results showed that the experience of intrusion of privacy, awareness of the danger of privacy, and the sense protection of the information from the manager at public agencies have direct influence on the concern of privacy. Meanwhile, it has been verified that the awareness of information protection of a manager, the systemicity of information protection, and the surveillance and punishment of information protection have influence on the reliability of public agencies.

  • This paper presents a supercompact multi-wavelet scheme and its application to fluid simulation data. The supercompact wavelet method is an appropriate wavelet for fluid simulation data in the sense that it can provide compact support and avoid unnecessary interaction with remotely located data (e.g. across a shock discontinuity or vortices). thresholding for data compression is applied based on a covariance vector structure of multi-wavelets. The extension of this scheme to three dimensions is analyzed. The numerical tests demonstrate that it can allow various analytic advantages as well as large data compression ratios in actual practice.

  • ADR has recently been expanded, making it possible to solve traffic accident disputes, which is a matter of urgency for parties to avoid. This point serves as an important procedural element. Such disputes are an area that requires a quick resolution. To try to solve any dispute that occurs in the complex environment of modern times one-by-one through litigation does not make sense. It gives an undue burden on the judicial body and the investigation agency. Like litigation, today's arbitration system, should have effective conflict resolution. The arbitration of automobile traffic accident disputes can be seen as roughly adjusted through the insurance company, the Dispute Coordinating Committee, and the Crime Victims Protection Act. It consists of experts mainly, and the resolution of automobile traffic accident disputes can be resolved through the Sajonsa and workers insurance company. However, adjustments to failure incident mostly need attention. Most of a company's compensation insurance indemnity needs to be processed in practice. In addition, a vicious cycle of litigation and delay period is repeated if a lawyer is appointed. There are unreasonable adjustment systems in the midst of these. Avoiding traffic accidents allows parties to resolve disputes better. Arbitration of disputes in automobile traffic accidents handled by arbitration institutions is desirable. It is determined that the handling of a case by a village attorney is efficient.

Multiple Target Angle Tracking Algorithm Using Angular Innovation Extracted from Signal Subspace (신호 부공간에서 구한 방위각 이노베이션을 이용한 다중표적 방위각 추적 알고리즘)

  • In this paper, a multiple target angle tracking algorithm that can avoid data association problem and has a simple structure is proposed by obtaining the angular innovation of the targets from a signal subspace. The signal subspace is recursively estimated by a signal subspace tracking algorithm, such as PAST. A nonlinear matrix equation which satisfy the estimated signal subspace and the angular innovation is induced and expanded into a Taylor series for linear approximation. The angular innovation is obtained by solving the approximated linear matrix equation in the least square sense. The good performance of the proposed algorithm is demonstrated by various computer simulations.
