Background: In times of continuous change and volatile markets, organizations are increasingly characterized by downsizing, work intensification, and resource rationalization. This has resulted in diversification, and the emergence of newrisks within the field of occupational health and safety, with an important impact. This paper focuses on one such type of risk in the modern workplace-psychosocial risks. The current study aimed to explore stakeholder perspectives, regarding the extent to which psychosocial risks are incorporated into strategic risk management practices, at both the business and policy level. Methods: Semi-structured interviews were conducted with 14 professionals, representing employer, expert, policy maker, and trade union stakeholder perspectives. Results: It was found that the majority of organizations do not sufficiently, if at all, understand and incorporate psychosocial risks into strategic decision making, whereby the key barrier related to practical difficulties of not knowing how to manage psychosocial risks adequately. Conclusion: The study found that there is a need to close the gap between policy and practice on a number of levels. Future recommendations comprise a policy framework and infrastructure underpinned by educational initiatives, partnerships, and networks to drive a shift in attitudes toward recognizing the duality of the concept of risk (including both potential negative and positive outcomes) and moving beyond simple regulatory compliance.
We have investigated the complex forming behavior of cucurbit[6]urils(CB6) and cucurbit[7]urils(CB7) with 7-diethylamino-4-methylcoumarin(C460) in water. The electronic absorption maximum of C460 shows bathochromic shift with the addition of CB7 and fluorescence intensity is greatly increased, while CB6 has no noticeable effects on the spectroscopic properties of C460. It is noted that CB7 interacts more strongly with C460 than CB6 does. Fluorescence lifetime also significantly increased for the CB7 complex, which is attributed to reduced polarity surrounding C460 and/or C460 being in a restricted environment. The stoichiometry for the complex formation determined from the fluorescence titration measurement indicates that 2:1 complex in which two CB7 molecules bind to C460 is formed. Thus, two step equilibrium processes are suggested for the complex formation and the binding constants are estimated. The semi-empirical electronic structures calculations indicate that C460 is not included in the CB7 cavity but interacts noncovalently with the portal carbonyls of CB7.

The increasing number of retrenchments because of the current global pandemic, Covid-19, has led many to shift to the digital economy, especially among the low-income group (B40) in Malaysia. Crowdsourcing is the collection of information, opinions, or work from a group of people, usually sourced via the Internet. Fueled by the development of Internet-based platforms that provided its technological foundation, and the need for an agile and uniquely skilled workforce, crowdsourcing has grown from the grassroots, with a burgeoning body of research investigating its many aspects. However, very few studies examined crowd workers' motivation for continuous participation on online crowdsourcing platforms. Thus, this paper aims to explore the technological factors that facilitate B40's group motivation in Malaysia to continue to participate in online crowdsourcing platforms. This paper employed a qualitative approach, using a semi-structured interview. The thematic analysis method was used to decode the data extracted from the interview transcript. The finding of this study identified four main themes and seven sub-themes: (1) Technology efficacy, (2) Platform Management: client-worker management, safety net, payment mechanism, (3) Platform Design: UI design, rating feature and (4) Infrastructure: Internet connection, technology infrastructure. This study can provide a guideline for managing crowdsourcing practices in Malaysia, especially for the crowdsourcing platform developer.

All the aspects of human life have been affected by the novel coronavirus (Covid-19). It has rapidly spread in most countries including the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. As a result, early precautionary actions aiming to minimise the virus effect are taken by the Saudi government. One of these actions is the sudden shift to online classes and suspending the attendees to all educational institutes. Such immediate change can have a significant effect on the educational process, especially for students. One can argue that students' information-seeking behaviour within the current situation can affect their learning quality and outcomes. Therefore, this paper examines the Saudi students' information-seeking behaviour by taking a sample of students from Umm Al-Qura University. A descriptive analysis is conducted with 193 students and two approaches are used to collect data, questionnaire and semi-structured interview. The results showed that the majority of students face difficulties when searching and retrieving e-resources from the university library website. The problems range from mainly poor User Experience (UX), network connection, multiple errors and lack of subscription with academic publishers.

The purpose of this study was to analyze one science teacher's understanding of student argumentation and his explicit teaching strategies for implementing it in the classroom. One middle school science teacher, Mr. Field, and his students of 54 participated in this study. Data were collected through three semi-structured interviews, 60 hours of classroom observations, and two times of students' lab reports for eight weeks. Coding categories were developed describing the teacher's understanding of scientific argumentation and a description of the main teaching strategy, the Claim-Evidence Approach, was introduced. Toulmin's approach was employed to analyze student discourse as responses to see how much of this discourse was argumentative. The results indicated that Mr. Field defined scientific inquiry as the abilities of procedural skills through experimentation and of reasoning skills through argumentation. The Claim-Evidence Approach provided students with opportunities to develop their own claims based on their readings, design the investigation for evidence, and differentiate pieces of evidence from data to support their claims and refute others. During this approach, the teacher's role of scaffolding was critical to shift students' less extensive argumentation to more extensive argumentation through his prompts and questions. The different level of teacher's involvement, his explicit teaching strategy, and the students' scientific knowledge influenced the students' ability to develop and improve argumentation.

Though lots of approaches to develop mobile apps are suggested up to now, developers have difficulties selecting a right one. This study compares native and cross-platform application development approaches, particularly focusing on the shift in preference from Java to Kotlin and the increasing use of Flutter. This research offers practical insights into factors influencing developers' choice of programming languages and frameworks in mobile application development by creating identical applications using Java, Kotlin, and Dart (Flutter). Furthermore, this study explores the best practices for development by examining the quality of code in 45 open-source GitHub repositories. The study evaluates LOC and code smells using semi-automated SonarQube assessments to determine the effects of selecting a specific language or framework on code maintainability and development efficiency. Preliminary findings show differences in the quality of the code produced by the two approaches, offering developers useful information on how to best optimize language and framework selection to reduce code smells and improve project maintainability.

We measure the topology of the galaxy distribution using the Seventh Data Release of the Sloan Digital Sky Survey (SDSS DR7), examining the dependence of galaxy clustering topology on galaxy properties. The observational results are used to test galaxy formation models. A volume-limited sample defined by Mr<-20.19 enables us to measure the genus curve with amplitude of G=378 at 6h-1Mpc smoothing scale, with 4.8% uncertainty including all systematics and cosmic variance. The clustering topology over the smoothing length interval from 6 to 10h-1Mpc reveals a mild scale-dependence for the shift and void abundance (A_V) parameters of the genus curve. We find strong bias in the topology of galaxy clustering with respect to the predicted topology of the matter distribution, which is also scale-dependent. The luminosity dependence of galaxy clustering topology discovered by Park et al. (2005) is confirmed: the distribution of relatively brighter galaxies shows a greater prevalence of isolated clusters and more percolated voids. We find that galaxy clustering topology depends also on morphology and color. Even though early (late)-type galaxies show topology similar to that of red (blue) galaxies, the morphology dependence of topology is not identical to the color dependence. In particular, the void abundance parameter A_V depends on morphology more strongly than on color. We test five galaxy assignment schemes applied to cosmological N-body simulations to generate mock galaxies: the Halo-Galaxy one-to-one Correspondence (HGC) model, the Halo Occupation Distribution (HOD) model, and three implementations of Semi-Analytic Models (SAMs). None of the models reproduces all aspects of the observed clustering topology; the deviations vary from one model to another but include statistically significant discrepancies in the abundance of isolated voids or isolated clusters and the amplitude and overall shift of the genus curve. SAM predictions of the topology color-dependence are usually correct in sign but incorrect in magnitude.
The aim of this study is to explore fathers' own expectations and experiences of fatherhood along with their views of what it meant to be a 'good' father. Qualitative methodologies were used; semi-structured in-depth interviews with 10 dual-earner fathers with young children. Interviewees overwhelmingly welcomed the opportunities offered to them by the new fatherhood model and supported a perceived cultural shift towards men and fathers being involved in, rather than detached from, family life. However tension and difficulty in living the ideal were also reported: gaps between perceptions and behaviors; struggle for traditional breadwinning role and caring; conflicts between selflessness and career and uninvolved in family decisions. Political and practical considerations are discussed, and the implications of this study for future research are identified.

The eletrochemical charateristics of mercapto compound additives on the copper electroplating for semi conductor metalization were investigated. Mercapto compounds including sulfur atom is known that they activate deposition rate in eletroplating. Four different types of mercapto compounds were chosen with different concentration and both the characteristics of plating and throwing power were investigated by electrochemical experiments such as Hull cell test, Haring-Blum cell, cathodic polarization, EQCM(Electrochemical Quartz Crystal Microbalance). 3-Mercapto-1-propanesulfonic acid among 4 different mercapto compounds was regarded as the most proper activator with the results of the mass change of Cu metal deposited on eletrode by cathodic polarization and EQCM. The overpotential was more shifted to 100 mV in the concentration of 20 ppm than the solution with only $Cl^-$ in cathodic scan.
The starry flounder Platichthys stellatus, like all flatfish, exhibits conspicuous lateral asymmetry in numerous traits, most obvious of which is the migration of one eye to the other side of the head during metamorphosis. Additional changes related to eye migration include asymmetrical pigmentation, and a behavioral shift from larvae that exhibit upright, open-water swimming to juveniles and adults that lie on the ocean floor, eye side up. However, the morphology of these juveniles has been quite plastic in recent years, a phenomenon which is thought to be related to a diverse suite of semi-intensive and intensive larviculture methods. The cause of morphological abnormalities in the farmed flatfish is poorly understood. In the present study, we observe the features of morphological specificity and abnormality of immature fish (mean total length 23 cm) and survey the occurrence frequency of the specificity and abnormality of juvenile (mean total length 6.70 cm) in artificial culture facility. We find 2 types of abnormality (e.g., albino in ocular side and hypermelanosis in blind side) and 1 type of specificity (e.g., lateral polymorphism). These considerably differ from normal individuals (has sinistral eye and pigmented on only one side) by several characteristics (dextral eye, ocular side albinism, blind side hypermelanosis). The incidences of albinism, hypermelanosis, and body reversal are $10.1{\pm}2.56%$, $91.7{\pm}1.7%$, and $13.1{\pm}1.1%$, respectively. These suggest that these morphometric and morphological differences occur more in artificial environment during and just after metamorphosis.
