Object Classification Method Using Dynamic Random Forests and Genetic Optimization

  • In this paper, we proposed the object classification method using genetic and dynamic random forest consisting of optimal combination of unit tree. The random forest can ensure good generalization performance in combination of large amount of trees by assigning the randomization to the training samples and feature selection, etc. allocated to the decision tree as an ensemble classification model which combines with the unit decision tree based on the bagging. However, the random forest is composed of unit trees randomly, so it can show the excellent classification performance only when the sufficient amounts of trees are combined. There is no quantitative measurement method for the number of trees, and there is no choice but to repeat random tree structure continuously. The proposed algorithm is composed of random forest with a combination of optimal tree while maintaining the generalization performance of random forest. To achieve this, the problem of improving the classification performance was assigned to the optimization problem which found the optimal tree combination. For this end, the genetic algorithm methodology was applied. As a result of experiment, we had found out that the proposed algorithm could improve about 3~5% of classification performance in specific cases like common database and self infrared database compare with the existing random forest. In addition, we had shown that the optimal tree combination was decided at 55~60% level from the maximum trees.

A Development of Home Mess-Cleanup Robot with Entertainment Function

  • The vacuum-cleaner had made the burden of house chore lighten but the operation labour of a vacuum-cleaner had been so severe. Recently, the cleaning robot was producted to perfectly solve the cleaning labour of a house but it also was not successful because it still had a problem of mess-cleaning, which is the clean-up of big trash and the arrangement of newspapers, clothes, etc. The cleaning robot is to just vacuum dust and small trash and has no function to arrange and take away before the automatic vacuum-cleaning. For this reason, the market for the cleaning robot is not yet built up. So, we need a design method and technological algorithm of new automatic machine to solve the problem of mess-cleanup in house. In this paper, a Home Mess-Cleanup Robot(HMR), which has a practical function of the automatic mess-cleanup, is developed. It need functions of agile automatic navigation, novel manipulation system for mess-cleanup. The automatic navigation system has to be controlled for the full scanning of living room, to recognize the absolute position and orientation of the self, the precise tracking of the desired path, and to distinguish the mess object to clean-up from obstacle object to just avoid. The manipulation system, which is not needed in the vacuum-cleaning robot, must have the functions, how to distinguish big trash to clean from mess objects to arrange, how to grasp in according to the form of mess objects, how to move to the destination in according to mess objects and arrange them. Then, it should be an intelligent system so that the mess cleaning task can be autonomously performed in a wide variety of situations and environments. It need to also has the entertainment functions for the good communication between the human and HMR. Therefore, the Home Mess-cleanup Robot with Entertainmental Human Interface is developed in this paper. Finally, the good performance of the designed machine, HMR'4, is confirmed through the results of the mess clean-up and arrangement.

Finally, the good performance of the designed UHMR is confirmed through the results of the mess clean-up and arrangement.

Drastic Brightness and Color Variations of the New Discovered Polar OTJ 071126+440405

  • Self-consistent mathematical model of the exotic object OTJ 071126+440405= CSS 081231:071126+440405 is discussed. The system was discovered as a polar at the New year night 31.12.2008/01.01.2009 by D.Denisenko (VSNET Circ), and we have initiated an international campaign of photometric and polarimetric observations of this object (totally -80 runs in Ukraine, Korea, Slovakia, Finland, USA) as a part of the "Inter-Longitude Astronomy" (ILA) project on monitoring of variable stars of different classes (Andronov et al., 2003). Here we present the geometrical and physical model of the system in the low luminosity state and in the intermediate luminosity state as well as in the high luminosity state. As the system is of -20 mag at minimum, no spectral observations were made to determine parameters of the red dwarf. From the statistical relationship, the mass of the red dwarf is estimated to be -0.165 solar masses, for the white dwarf (from eclipse duration) - from 0.5 to 1.76 solar masses. As the system resembles ER UMa in some characteristics, the lower value may be assumed. The inclination of the system and other physical parameters are estimated. The object is an excellent laboratory to study multiple physical processes in the magnetic systems.

주성분 분석과 Blob 군집화를 이용한 열화상 사람 검출 시스템의 성능 향상 (Performance Improvement of Human Detection in Thermal Images using Principal Component Analysis and Blob Clustering)

  • 본 논문에서는 조명이 없는 야간 및 악천후 등 가시영상 카메라를 이용하여 사람 영역을 추정하기 힘든 환경에서의 대안으로 열화상 카메라를 이용한 사람검출 방법을 제안한다. 일반적인 열화상에서 사람은 주변 배경에 비해 밝게 표현되는 특징을 이용하여, 밝기 히스토그램 상의 사람의 열화상의 신뢰 구간을 계산해 1차적으로 사람 영역을 추정한 뒤, 가우시안 필터링 및 레이블링을 통해 불필요한 잡음을 제거한다. 그 이후에 Self-occlusion 등에 의해 분리된 사람 영역을 각 blob별 무게중심 및 분포정보를 이용하여 하나의 객체 영역을 추정한다. 최종적으로 추정 영역에 대한 가로와 세로의 비율 및 크기 정보와 주성분분석(PCA; principal component analysis)를 이용하여 추정된 영역에 대하여 사람인지 여부를 결정한다. 실험결과를 통하여, 제안된 방법은 가시영상에서 검출하기 힘든 환경들에 대하여 좋은 성능을 나타내는 것을 알 수 있었다.

Multi-level Cross-attention Siamese Network For Visual Object Tracking

  • Currently, cross-attention is widely used in Siamese trackers to replace traditional correlation operations for feature fusion between template and search region. The former can establish a similar relationship between the target and the search region better than the latter for robust visual object tracking. But existing trackers using cross-attention only focus on rich semantic information of high-level features, while ignoring the appearance information contained in low-level features, which makes trackers vulnerable to interference from similar objects. In this paper, we propose a Multi-level Cross-attention Siamese network(MCSiam) to aggregate the semantic information and appearance information at the same time. Specifically, a multi-level cross-attention module is designed to fuse the multi-layer features extracted from the backbone, which integrate different levels of the template and search region features, so that the rich appearance information and semantic information can be used to carry out the tracking task simultaneously. In addition, before cross-attention, a target-aware module is introduced to enhance the target feature and alleviate interference, which makes the multi-level cross-attention module more efficient to fuse the information of the target and the search region. We test the MCSiam on four tracking benchmarks and the result show that the proposed tracker achieves comparable performance to the state-of-the-art trackers.

대타자와 주체의 변증법적 인터페이스 탐색 -크리스티나 로제티의 「도깨비 시장」 읽기 (The Exploration of the Dialectical Interface of Other and Subject: A Reading of Christina Rossetti's "Goblin Market")

  • This study takes its point of departure from Lacanian psychoanalysis and explores the point that an irremediable gap in the human subject can be illuminated in terms of the Lacanian categories, fantasy, symptom, gaze or voice as cause of desire of the Other. With respect to the category of the symptom, Lacan claims that the Other is always already there in the constitution of the subject, that is, the relation of the subject to the Other that is overwhelming as well as attracting the subject. Chapter II deals with the unthought, excessive ground of the conscious that borders on the subject, as is the case of self-excentric aspect of the man. Indeed, in Lacan's early work, the subject is essentially a relationship to the Other as desire(objet petit a), and there is no such thing as a symptom or fantasy without some subjective involvement. Lacanian unknown real, perpetual excess as the cause of desire animates the subject even as it threatens to blast it apart. The structures that establish the lines of desire in every individual are derived from an ineluctably intersubjective field. The Other is always already there in the constitution of the subject. In the final years of Lacan's teaching we find a kind of universalization of the symptom and almost everything that is becomes in a way symptom. Symptom, embodied in Laura in "Goblin Market," is her only substance, the only positive support of her being. By looking at the Laura's symptom in chapter III we gain an insight into the forbidden domain, into a real space that should be left unseen and unthought. The voice of goblin men therefore functions as a sublime object that is animating as well as dominating element even as it threatens to disintegrate the subject. Objet petit a as a sublime object that must be excluded in reality returns in the real, taking on a certain materiality which has an effect on Laura, that is, animates Laura's desire. Objet petit a is a real object, signifying nothing. In conclusion, the theoretical importance of Lacanian psychoanalysis is the relation between a subject and an Other as Objet petit a.

공연 시 배우의 각성변화와 심리적 자기조절 분석 (Analysis on Psychological Self-regulation and Arousal Variation of Actors on Performance)

  • 본 연구는 공연 시 배우의 심박수의 각성변화와 유발된 각성상태에 대한 심리적 자기조절을 분석하는데 그 목적이 있다. 연구대상자는 연극 전문극단에 소속되어 있는 배우 5명을 목적적 표본추출하였다. 각성변화를 측정하기 위해서 심박수 측정기를 활용하였고, 자기조절 행동을 관찰 및 기록할 수 있는 행동 관찰지를 사용하였으며, 공연종료 후 개인별 심층상담을 실시하였다. 심박수 변화에 대한 평균과 표준편차를 산출하여, 공연 시간대별 변화 추이를 그래프화 하였으며, 자기조절 행동을 분석하기 위해 질적 연구방법을 실시하였다. 도출된 연구결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 배우들은 공연이 시작되기 전부터 심박수의 각성수준이 높아지는 변화를 나타냈으며, 공연 시작 20분 전부터 5분 전까지 가장 높은 각성상태를 보였다. 둘째, 공연 시작 전 심호흡, 호흡 가다듬기, 자기대화, 배우들과의 대화, 대본연습에 집중, 화장실 가기, 흡연, 복장점검 등의 자기조절적 행동을 나타냈다. 셋째, 공연 시 높아진 각성상태를 조절하기 위해서 이완기법, 자기집중화, 자신감강화, 상황대처 및 적응 등과 같은 심리적 자기조절 방법을 사용하는 것으로 나타났다.

일부 보건계열 대학생의 취업 스트레스와 자아존중감에 관한 연구 (A Study on Employment Stress and Self-esteem of Health College Students)

  • 본 연구는 전문대학 보건계열 대학졸업 예정자들이 겪는 취업 스트레스와 자아존중감과의 관련성을 분석하여 대처방안을 모색하는데 목적을 두고 있다. 2010년 5월10일부터 6월 11일까지 서울에 소재하고 있는 일부 보건대학 졸업예정자 295명을 분석대상으로 하였다. 설문지를 이용하여 일반적 특성, 취업스트레스, 자아존중감에 관한 자료를 수집하였고, 수집된 모든 자료는 SPSS 12.0 통계프로그램을 이용하여 분석하였다. 연구 결과는 다음과 같다. 1. 대학생활 만족도가 높은 집단에서 취업스트레스가 낮게 나타나 통계적으로 유의한 차이를 보였다(p<0.001). 2. 자아존중감 수준은 3.10 이었고, 긍정적 자아존중감(3.76)이 부정적 자아존중감(2.44)보다 높게 나타나 통계적으로 유의한 차이를 보였다(p<0.001). 3. 취업스트레스와 자아존중감(r=0.132)과는 유의한 상관성이 있었다. 4. 회귀분석 결과, 취업스트레스와 유의한 관련성이 있는 요인은 가정형편, 학업성취도, 대학생활 만족도, 자아존중감(p<0.001)이었다. 즉, 가정형편이 어려울수록, 그리고 학업성취도가 낮고, 대학생활 만족도가 낮고, 자아존중감이 낮을수록 취업스트레스가 높았다. 결론적으로 대학생들의 취업스트레스를 효과적으로 대처하기 위해서는 우선 자아존중감을 증진시킬 수 있는 교육적 접근이 필요하며 대학현장에 취업 전담부서를 비롯한 전반적인 학교행정복지서비스를 강화하여 보다 나은 학문적 환경을 조성하고 지역사회와의 산학협력체계를 확대하여야 할 것이다. 무엇보다도 취업에 대한 주체적 책임은 학생들이기 때문에 스스로 자신의 문제를 해결하기 위한 능동적인 노력이 선행되어야 하며 가족의 적극적인 관심, 배려, 사랑이 절대적으로 필요하다고 생각된다.
