  • This study examines the process of internalization and elaboration of the logic of competition in the post-IMF era through the genealogy of the survival program. Post-IMF is based on disaster reality, which reveals a specific emotional structure related to the competition, if the narrative of overcoming the IMF event finds narrative models that can be sufficiently reconciled between communityism and individual success. This study also examines the process of disaster preparedness through survival form and narrative structure embedded in such form. Thus, this study reconstructed the diachronic change to track the change of the survival program and the subsequent narrative change. Relative to the time of the healing-mentor, the survival program seems to be declining, but rather seems to have created a new transition through the logic of self-development contained in the healing-mentoring discourse. this logic leads to be ghettoized hierarchy of preferences. Now, the survival program is to perform fantastic surrogate satisfaction by delegating competition to a narrow self-directed area rather than to a big empathy within the community.

  • This study aims to identify the effects and traits of narrative online group counseling for college students by comparing them with face-to-face group counseling. For this purpose, 18 college students were assigned as experimental group (videoconferencing method, using "Zoom"), comparison group (face-to-face method), and control group (no treatment). 8 sessions of narrative group counseling program was conducted for two groups. The difference between pre- and post test scores of 'self-identity' and 'relationship' showed significant improvement in 'self-identity' in both experimental and comparison groups, while positive change in 'relationship' was only significant in the experimental group. The traits of online group counseling experience were identified by comparing the post-interview data asking about their counseling experiences. In conclusion, we found that despite the various limitations, the context of online group counseling showed similar effects to face-to-face group counseling, and suggested a direction for the development of online group counseling.

  • This study aims at analyzing the trend of feeling under the neo-liberalism era through the soap operas. In particular, this article focuses on 'envy'. Unlike jealousy, envy is the feeling of comparison appearing in people in similar circumstances that is displayed within the dual relation with its characteristic of having dynamics on the fortune (victory) of the other party for an unpleasant feeling, denial and interference. However, under the neo-liberalistic order with unlimited competition as its characteristic, 'envy' has the tendency to discourse with its passion of subjects participating in the limited share of competition. This begins in 'envy' under a soap opera to lead to competition to reproduce as the drama to dream of success for self-development. Under the circumstances, the feeling or behavior of characters not showing the general pattern but to individualize with the envious behavior of evil characters to turn away from the structural context for characters of issue of suffering originated within. For example, the soap opera imagines with 'envy' for the feeling of characters to reproduce the neo-liberalistic subject in darkness as well as to transfigure the suffering or context encountered by the characteristics to present the issues.

  • The "AR Campus Diary" project innovates in the realm of art through integrating augmented reality (AR) with interactive storytelling, fostering personal and interpersonal development through artistic expression. This artistic endeavor metaphorically represents the growth and fruition of individual stories, facilitated by a series of progressive art activities that emphasize continual interaction between self and others. Set against the backdrop of a university campus, the project employs AR markers designed to unfold stories in phases through a dedicated application, allowing participants to experience and influence the narrative uniquely. Diverging from traditional film editing techniques, "AR Diary" offers viewers the autonomy to navigate through story segments of their choosing, marking a departure from conventional cinematic storytelling by leveraging marker-based plot progression. This project not only showcases the fusion of technology and art but also pioneers a participatory form of art education based on engagement and play.

  • Chinese youth films fall into the dilemma of continuous development after experiencing rapid development from 2013 to 2017. How to update the creative ideas and methods of the films, arouse the audience's interest in watching and stimulate a new aesthetic experience has become a focal point for the creators who concern about the Chinese film market. "Us and Them" is a successful youth film in 2018. Its creative practice proves that defamiliarization can provide theoretical and methodological basis for the creation of Chinese youth films. Therefore, taking the current situation of Chinese youth film as the research background, treating "Us and Them" as the research object, the defamiliarization of narrative discourse and narrative content used in the film are analyzed. First, the defamiliarization of narrative discourse composed of scenes, characters and plots makes the film "stand out" from the real world. Second, the defamiliarization of narrative content composed of metropolis adoration, self-identity and hometown affection makes the film "stand out" from the existing context. These methods of creation not only meet the needs of the contemporary, but also provide an effective reference for the creation of other youth films. Research will be needed to utilize the elements of defamiliarization through the analysis of the successful case in spite of the time change.
