  • Objectives : This study aims to investigate the relationship between the self-leadership and stress of students majoring in dental hygiene in clinical practice. This study will be helpful to cope with clinical practice effectively. Methods : Subjects were 221 dental hygiene students from 4 universities in Daegu and Gyeongbuk. Data were abalyzed by independent t-test and multiple regression analysis. Results : Stress-response was 60.36 points in high self-leadership group and 57.20 points in kow self-leadership group. It was statistically significant. Clinical practice-induced stress was made by self-expectation, rehearsal, and self-criticism. Stress was able to be overcome by self-reward and positive mind. Conclusions : It is necessary to take the curriculum into consideration which can improve the self-leadership before the clinical practice or at the early phase of clinical practice in order to ensure that the students majoring in dental hygiene are exposed to less stress arising from clinical practice and better cope with such stress.

생태시의 윤리와 관계의 시학 -메리 올리버의 다른 몸 되기 (The Ethics of Ecological Poetry and the Poetics of Relation: Mary Oliver's Becoming Other)

  • While environmental ethics, a relatively new field of philosophy, has gained its practical power in the contemporary world, the ethics of ecological poetry has not been studied well and the relationship between poetry and ethics has also been troubled for a long time. How can it be probed, interrogated, and constructed in ecological criticism? Attempting to steer some critical focus to the topic of ethics and poetic language, this essay is to elucidate these questions within the ecological traits of Mary Oliver's poems. In the process of revisiting Oliver's poems, this essay tries to rescue the poet Oliver, one of the most gifted poets in contemporary American poetic landscape, but a long-neglected one, and questions of ethics which have been evaded for a long time in ecological criticism. Oliver's ecological imagination at once invites readers to become other in the outer world in a most spontaneous way and re-questions the fundamental distance between the self and the other in the process of becoming other. Challenging the humanistic view of nature, she opens the various layers of becoming other: from the possible state of perfect merging to the sad recognition of the impossibility of merging, from the happy moment of rebirth beyond death, to the conflicting moment of being-together. In the different cycles and levels of becoming other, Oliver's poetry completes the poetics of relation in the components of 'self-in-relation.' In those different layers of relations, the ethics of ecological poetry is newly explored rather than residing in the safe net of goodness or sympathy between the self and the other, or the stark division between the two. Oliver's witty, sensitive, sometimes sad eyes toward others, therefore, entice readers to move from the established view of nature to the extraordinary moment of encountering it, thus accomplishing the ethics of beings, not just of ecological poetry.

The Effect of Problem-Based Learning for Patient Safety on Self-Leadership, Patient Safety Competencies, and Reflective Thinking of Nursing Students

  • This study is a one-group pretest-posttest design to evaluate the effect of problem-based learning (PBL) for patient safety on self-leadership, patient safety competencies, and reflective thinking of nursing students. The research was conducted from March 2 to April 15, 2022, in which 57 nursing students participated. PBL for patient safety was examined in a total of 8 sessions in the order of motivation, problem identification, task performance planning, problem-solving methods, summary and solution, presentation, and evaluation. The following topics of patient safety were selected for each team: nursing records, high-alert medication, medication error and intravenous fluid regulation, blood transfusion care, fall, bedsore, infection control, and pain management. We provided feedback on the learning process and outcomes of nursing students. According to the results, self-leadership showed a statistically significant improvement in self-expectations (t=2.60, p=0.01), goal setting (t=2.84, p<0.01), self-reward (t=3.32, p<0.01), and self-criticism (t=2.32, p=0.02). Patient safety competencies showed a statistically significant improvement in patient safety knowledge (t=13.05, p<0.001) and patient safety skills (t=4.87, p<0.001) but not in reflective thinking. The results prove that PBL for patient safety is an effective teaching-learning strategy to improve self-leadership and patient safety competencies. Future studies must develop and validate specific and long-term teaching-learning methods to improve reflective thinking.

정서공감과 우울의 관계: 자기비난의 매개 역할을 중심으로 (The relationship between emotional empathy and depression: Focused on the mediating effect of self criticism)

  • 우울한 사람들은 슬픔에 빠져 있고 부정적인 측면에 대해 반추하므로 외부를 향한 관심이나 반응성은 저하되는 경향이 있다. 타인에 대한 관심과 반응성을 기반으로 하는 행동이라 볼 수 있는 공감에 있어서 우울한 사람이 어떠한 특성을 보일지에 대한 의문을 가지고, 본 연구에서는 146명의 온라인 대학생들로부터 자료를 얻어 공감과 우울의 관계에 대해 살펴 보았다. 상관분석 결과, 공감의 인지적 측면인 조망수용은 우울과 부적상관을 나타냈고, 공감의 정서적 측면 중 공감적 반응과 공감적 관심 역시 우울과 부적 상관을 나타냈다. 그러나 또 다른 정서 공감의 지표인 개인적 고통의 경우 우울과 정적상관을 나타냈다. 공감 관련 변인들을 예측변인으로 설정한 회귀분석에서는 조망수용이 우울에 부적 영향을, 개인적 고통이 우울에 정적 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 개인적 고통이 자기비난을 매개로 하여 우울에 영향을 미친다는 가설을 다중회귀분석과 Sobel 검사를 통해 확인해 보았는데, 자기비난은 개인적 고통의 정적 효과를 완전 매개하는 것으로 나타났다. 이러한 결과를 바탕으로 본 연구의 함의와 제한점에 대해 논하였다.

칸트 윤리학과 니체의 도덕비판: 자기기만, 존중과 거리의 파토스를 중심으로 (Kant's Ethics and Nietzsche's Critique of Morality: Self-Deception, Respect and Pathos of Distance)

  • 칸트에 따르면 도덕은 단지 유익할 뿐만 아니라 무엇보다 인간의 인간다움을 지키고 보존하는 사회제도다. 그러나 이런 도덕도 병리현상을 일으키거나 동반할 수 있는데, 니체의 도덕비판을 그런 병리현상, 특히 도덕의 자기기만에 한 통렬한 비판으로 읽을 수 있다. 도덕의 구체적 병리현상에 한 니체의 비판으로부터 칸트적 입장에서 있는 사람도 많은 것을 배울 수 있을 것이다. 그러나 그런 비판이 수행되는 기본적인 자세 및 관점과 관련해서는 끝내 좁혀질 수 없는 간극이 존재할 터인데, 칸트적 입장에 따르면 도덕의 가장 근본적인 자세는 존중이기 때문이다. 이와 달리 "거리의 파토스"는 무시와 경멸에 기반하고 있다.

대학생의 우울취약성이 대인관계문제에 미치는 영향: 자아탄력성의 조절효과를 중심으로 (Effect of Depressive Vulnerability on Interpersonal Problems among University Students: Focusing on Moderating Effect of Ego-Resilience)

  • This study investigates the effect of depressive vulnerability on the interpersonal problems of university students. We explore the moderating effects of ego-resilience on the relation between depressive vulnerability and interpersonal problems. We selected 380 university students as participants from Daegu and Gyeongsan cities. Collected data was analyzed by descriptive statistics, Pearson's correlation, moderating effect with SPSS 23.0. PROCESS, a SPSS macro program developed by Hayes (2013). The findings are as follows. First, there were significant correlations between non-sociability and dependency, self-criticism, non-self-assertiveness, over-consideration, dominance, personal relations, emotion control, and optimism. Second, ego-resilience was found to moderate the relationship between depressive vulnerability and non-self- assertiveness, over-consideration, and dominance among university students. This study suggests that intervention to address ego-resilience are important to resolve the interpersonal problems of university students.

성인남자의 자아개념과 의복행위와의 상관연구 -의복만족도, 과시성 유행을 중심으로- (A Study of the Relationship between Self-Concept and Clothing Behavior of Adult Males)

  • The purpose of this study was to investigate the relationship between self-concept and clothing behavior of adult males. Measures selected for this study consisted of the clothing satisfaction, clothing exhibitionism and fashionability scale developed by author and Chung self-concept scales. The questionnaires were distributed to the three groups of adult males in Seoul. Data from 532 respondents, (171 bankers, 181 businessmen and, 180 teachers) were analyzed by correlations and F-tetss. The results were: 1) A significant positive relationship was found between total positive self and the satisfaction of clothing. 2) A significant positive relationship was found between self-criticism and the exhibitionism of clothing. 3) A significant positive relationship was found between physical self and the exhibitionism of clothing. 4) Significant difference was found on an aspect of clothing behavior among the occupational groups: the bankers and businessmen were more interested in fashion than the teachers. 5) As for the criterion used on the purchase of clothing for five occasions, comfort was most important factor for the clothing selection.

통각에서 연기론으로 -- 심층생태론의 대안 모색 (From 'Self-realization' to Interdependent Arising -- Seeking an Alternative to Deep Ecology)

  • Arne Naess' ecocentrally-oriented worldview of 'Self-realization' has been continually attacked by sociocultural critics since it was launched in the early 1970s. Especially ecofeminists and social ecologists criticize that the concept of Self-realization cannot accept social & cultural particularity enough. In other words, they assert that Deep Ecology cannot efficiently resist interpersonal hierarchy. Concentrating their criticism on compassion just for nonhuman beings, the interpersonal equality-oriented critics claim that Deep Ecology should incorporate voices of marginalized humans within their eco-centered world view. Even if Naess recently recognizes necessity to draw more attention to sociohistorical particularity, still unchanged remains essentialism in his neological term 'Self-realization.' Compared to exclusiveness in Naess' Self-realization, the Buddhist worldview of Interdependent Arising(pratityasamutpada) favors both intraspeciel egalitarianism and interpersonal equality as well. The very insight that all beings dependently co-originate reasons compassion for historically marginalized humans as well as nonhuman beings. Accordingly, today's environmentalism might better its efficiency as it goes toward the inclusive Buddhist world view of interdependent arising. For the human being tends to respond more readily to his or her individually urgent problems than their remote social matters.

간호대학 신입생의 의사소통 스타일에 대한 주관성 연구 : Q 방법론적 접근 (Subjectivity on Communication Styles of Nursing Freshmen : Q Methodological Approach)

  • 본 연구의 목적은 간호대학 신입생들의 의사소통 스타일에 대한 주관성 유형을 파악하고 유형별 특성을 탐구하기 위한 것이며 연구방법은 Q 방법론을 적용하였다. 간호대학 신입생으로 구성된 P 표본 50명을 대상으로 의사소통 스타일에 대한 Q 표본 55개의 진술문을 11점 척도 분포도에 분류하게 하였다. 자료 수집은 2015년 5월부터 6월까지 진행되었고 수집된 자료는 PC-QUANL 프로그램으로 분석하였다. 연구결과 의사소통 스타일은 '개방적 교류 촉진형', '타인배려 경청형', '비판예민 긴장형', '교류회피 관찰형'으로 추출되었다. 개방적 교류 촉진형은 언어적, 비언어적 표현을 능숙하게 사용하여 개방적으로 자아를 노출하고 교류를 촉진하는 유형이다. 타인배려 경청형은 자신보다는 타인의 입장을 먼저 생각하여 신중하게 의사소통을 하는 스타일이다. 비판예민 긴장형은 비판에 예민하고 긴장하며 산만한 스타일로 친밀한 교류가 어려운 유형이다. 교류회피 관찰형은 자기를 노출하지 않고, 타인을 관찰하면서 상호교류에 무관심한 방관자 스타일이다. 본 연구결과는 향후 간호대학 신입생을 위한 의사소통 교육프로그램 개발에 활용될 수 있을 것으로 기대한다.

'집'의 정치학-레너드와 버지니아 울프의 출항 (The Politics of Home: Leonard and Virginia Woolf's Voyage Out)

  • I hope to demonstrate in this paper the degree to which the works of Leonard and Virginia Woolf, mainly The Wise Virgins, The Village in the Jungle, and The Voyage Out, are contained within the politics of home. In doing so, I aim to challenge some mainstream criticism that affirms their resistance to British imperial desire. Although their statuses as outsiders in the British Empire, being a Jew and being a woman respectively, allowed Leonard and Virginia Woolf to criticize British imperialism and a male-dominated culture as well as racial and cultural hierarchies to a degree, their works inevitably unveil their prioritization of the British white-oriented space. In some ways their authorial positions in relation to their texts uphold the imperial center as an invisible regime of truth in their narratives, supporting the patriarchal and imperial binary oppositional structure and its hierarchical order imposed not only on the British subject but also on the foreign, colonial others. Leonard's and Virginia's inconsistencies and ambiguities betray their racial distantiation and notions of British white superiority, as disclosed in their racially stereotyped descriptions and the absence of real communication between the British characters and the colonial, foreign others. The work of self-repetition, the major mechanism in the politics of home, dies hard in Leonard's and Virginia's 'antiimperial' works. Leonard's and Virginia's struggle to stand against the imperial desire needs a genuine ethical position in order to embrace the Other, which would allow us to explore further and guard against the pitfall of postcolonial criticism's being easily degenerated into a neo-colonial criticism, another politics of home.
