패션 일러스트레이션에서의 사진 이미지 차용에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Photo-image Appropriation in Fashion Illustration)

  • Present expression methods have close relations with popular culture in the active acceptance of various kinds of genre. Fashion illustration is no longer limited to sketching garments or technically explaining construction, it is accepted as an art that is expressed by the desire and consciousness of the artist. This study examines the expressional characteristics and effects of photo-image appropriation as an expression method in fashion illustration. The word 'appropriation' (to steal something) is used as euphemism and not meant to be derogatory. The methods of appropriation in art indicate that paintings are not inventions but are self-satisfactory creations that show that the idea of originality is false and that paintings should be uninhibited from the greed of the authority of the genius of artists. In postmodern paintings, the photo-image of appropriation are expressed through the methods of re-photography, photo collage, and photo painting. Photo-image appropriation methods in fashion illustration are re-photography, photo collage, image mixing of photography, drawing, and graphic expression of photography. Fashion illustrators are able to develop expression techniques for expanding a field of expression and enhance the ability of communication through the photo-image appropriation methods.

대학생이 지각한 부모애착과 우울감 및 분노표현 방식에 관한 연구 (Effects of Parental Attachment and Depressive Mood on Anger Expression Style among College Students)

  • This research examines the effects of parental attachment as a family-related variable, and depressive mood as an individual variable on anger expression style among Korean college students. Anger expression style was divided into three domains including anger-in, anger-out, and anger-control. The data were collected from 437 college student respondents using a self-administered questionnaire. The results demonstrated that male students displayed higher levels of anger-control compared to females, but no gender-related difference in the level of anger-in and anger-out. In addition, anger-control was positively associated with parental attachment. However, anger control in terms of anger-in and anger-out were negatively related to parental attachment and positively linked to depression. Additionally, parental attachment demonstrated a negative correlation with depressive mood. Multiple regression results indicated that after controlling for the effect of gender, anger-control expression style was influenced by parental attachment but not by depressive mood. In addition, anger-out and anger-in expression styles were influenced by depressive mood but not by parental attachment. Finally, implications for educators and clinicians working with college students and their family are discussed along with some suggestions for future research.

  • The purpose of this study are to show a new possibility of identity design to be used as tools of users identity expression, designing digital contents by studying on the methods to express users identities successfully in the digital contents design, and to present the possibility to expand the area of identity design. Digital contents are a communication media in it self, but this study tried to consider the digital contents as a tool of users communication or expression. The identity expression, which are not only makes communications efficient but also lets products and companies acknowledged by users, is one of the most indispensable factors in products competitive power in both the present and the future. However, no define methods of identity expression are settled as well as recognized by users properly and accurately yet, so that this study focuses on that point. Therefore, This study is advanced in the direction of establishing the concept of digital identity for an expansion of the media toward the identity expression in design as well as making researchers in successful identity expression ways by means of actual design, more than a graphic image making that simply decorates a digital contents. The point of this study is to show a new concept of identity design that expresses users identities so as to suggest another possibility of identity design.

간호대학생의 핵심기본간호술 수행자신감 영향요인: 간호전문직관과 자기효능감을 중심으로 (Factors Influencing Confidence in Performing Fundamental Nursing Skills of Nursing Students: Focused on Professionalism and Self-efficacy)

  • Purpose: The purpose of this study was to identify factors with nursing students's confidence in performing fundamental nursing skills. The focus was on professionalism and self-efficacy. Method: For the sample 258 fourth graders of nursing students were recruited in two universities located in Gyeongnam or Ulsan. Data were analyzed using t-test, Pearson's correlation coefficients, and hierarchical multiple regression. Results: The mean score for confidence in performing fundamental nursing skills was $3.71{\pm}0.58$. Nursing professionalism and self-efficacy were positively correlated with confidence in performing fundamental nursing skills. Analysis using multiple regression showed that 27% of factors predicting confidence in performance of fundamentals of nursing practice (F=16.43, p<.001) included nursing professionalism (${\beta}=.37$, p<.001), self-expression (${\beta}=.15$, p=.009), and self-efficacy (${\beta}=.14$, p=.029). Conclusion: Findings show that nursing professionalism is one of the major factors influencing confidence in performing fundamental nursing skills. In order to improve the confidence in performing fundamental nursing skills, it is necessary to establish effective educational strategies that firmly enhance nursing professionalism and improve self-efficacy in nursing students.

치유문화에서 나타나는 자아 제한성의 문제: 고통수기들을 중심으로 (The Problem of Self-Limitation in Therapeutic Culture: Focusing on Misery Memoirs)

  • Accounts from therapeutic culture seem often to associate the selfish, or at least self-centered quest for self-fulfillment with individual choice or satisfaction, self-expression, expressive individualism, and emotionalism. These associations point to the downside of therapy as they present it as constituting a culture of narcissism, selfishness, or irresponsibility. While some of these characterizations contain useful insights, they overlook what are maybe some of the most important features of a therapeutic outlook. This paper aims to reveal that the therapeutic imperative is not so much geared towards the realization of self-fulfillment, as it is the promotion of self-limitation. Therapeutic culture tends to posit the self in a fragile and feeble form and insist that the management of life requires the continuous intervention of therapeutic expertise. Because of this, the elevated concern with the self is underpinned by anxiety, pain, suffering, and survival, rather than seen as a positive vision of realizing the human potential. Therapeutic culture has in this way helped to construct a diminished sense of self by which one is seen as suffering from an emotional deficit and vulnerability. This paper demonstrates this downside of therapeutic culture concerning self-limitation and the sense of a diminished self by examining popular "misery memoirs." Misery memoirs are widely consumed by the general public, therefore tend to be treated by contemporary therapeutic culture as a gospel on the therapeutic ideal for self-fulfillment and self-discovery. This is, despite the existence of hidden evidence to the contrary, because of their redemptive, happy endings that show individuals overcoming difficult trials such as child abuse, incestuous rape, and domestic violence. Individual self-fulfillment and self-discovery in such stories are not achieved through the active agency of the subject but through the passive endurance of pathological symptoms and with the aid of expertise and outside support. Therefore, such stories put victims in the limited position.

Quantified Lockscreen: 감정 마이닝과 자기정량화를 위한 개인화된 표정인식 및 모바일 잠금화면 통합 어플리케이션 (Quantified Lockscreen: Integration of Personalized Facial Expression Detection and Mobile Lockscreen application for Emotion Mining and Quantified Self)

  • 잠금화면은 현대인들이 모바일 플랫폼에서 가장 자주 대면하는 인터페이스 중 하나이다. 조사에 따르면 스마트폰 사용자들은 일일 평균 150번 잠금해제를 수행하지만[1], 패턴인식, 비밀번호와 같은 잠금화면 인터페이스등은 보안 및 인증의 목적을 제외하곤 별 다른 이익을 제공하지 못하는 것이 현 실정이다. 본 논문에서는 보안용도의 기존 잠금화면을 전방 카메라를 활용한 얼굴 및 표정인식 어플리케이션으로 대체하여 표정 데이터를 수집한 뒤 실시간 표정 및 감정 변화 피드백을 제공하는 인터페이스를 제시한다. 본 연구에선 Quantified Lockscreen 어플리케이션을 통한 실험을 통해 1) 잠금화면을 활용한 비침습적인 인터페이스를 통해 연속적인 표정데이터 획득과 감정패턴을 분석할 수 있는 것을 검증했으며 2) 개인화된 학습 및 분석으로 표정인식 및 감정 검출의 정확도를 개선하였으며 3) 표정으로부터 추론된 감정 데이터의 타당성을 강화하기 위한 양괄식 검증기법을 도입하여 감정 검출의 다중채널 및 다중입력 방법론의 가능성을 확인하였다.

Training of Future Specialists in Modern Conditions: Cultural Aspects

  • An increasing number of students from different cultures study in higher primary schools. This trend is due to: 1) the government's discourse on increasing the level of participation of foreign students in national educational programs and the need for internationalization; 2) the need of employers for professionals who are trained to work in a multicultural environment to meet the needs of different markets and customers. Methodology. This study is based on the results of the OECD (2018) structured survey of 1,093 teachers at universities in Australia, Colombia, the Czech Republic, Denmark, Georgia, Malta, Vietnam, Turkey, and Argentina, examined policy, the practice of cultural characteristics in training specialists, and teachers' attitudes to cultural diversity. Results. The attitude and perception of cultural features by teachers does not determine the practice of forming a cultural environment and managing this environment to ensure quality education of students of different nations. The main culturological aspects of training are self-expression of cultural and ethnic identities, expression of cultural characteristics and their value through multicultural activities in universities, teaching students to combat ethnic or cultural discrimination. Therefore, the formation of a multicultural environment in higher education occurs through the activities of students and teachers, which complement each other. The practical value lies in identifying two important components of the formation of cultural diversity among students, such as self-expression of ethnic and cultural identity and the expression of cultural differences by teachers in the course of educational activities.

Expression of Major Histocompatibility Complex during Neuronal Differentiation of Somatic Cell Nuclear Transfer-Human Embryonic Stem Cells

  • Human pluripotent stem cells (hPSCs) such as human embryonic stem cells (hESCs), induced pluripotent stem cells, and somatic cell nuclear transfer (SCNT)-hESCs can permanently self-renew while maintaining their capacity to differentiate into any type of somatic cells, thereby serving as an important cell source for cell therapy. However, there are persistent challenges in the application of hPSCs in clinical trials, where one of the most significant is graft rejection by the patient immune system in response to human leukocyte antigen (HLA) mismatch when transplants are obtained from an allogeneic (non-self) cell source. Homozygous SCNT-hESCs (homo-SCNT-hESCs) were used to simplify the clinical application and to reduce HLA mismatch. Here, we present a xeno-free protocol that confirms the efficient generation of neural precursor cells in hPSCs and also the differentiation of dopaminergic neurons. Additionally, there was no difference when comparing the HLA expression patterns of hESC, homo-SCNT-hESCs and hetero-SCNT-hESCs. We propose that there are no differences in the differentiation capacity and HLA expression among hPSCs that can be cultured in vitro. Thus, it is expected that homo-SCNT-hESCs will possess a wider range of applications when transplanted with neural precursor cells in the context of clinical trials.

시설거주 노인의 의사소통 기술과 자아존중감의 관계 -강원도 지역 무료양로시설을 중심으로- (Relation between Communication Skills and Self-Esteem of the Institutionalized Elderly -Focusing on the Free Institutionalized Elderly in Gangwon-do Area-)

  • 본 연구는 무료양로시설에 거주하는 노인들을 대상으로 하여 의사소통 기술과 자아존중감과의 관계를 살펴보기 위하여 노인의 의사소통 기술을 자기이해, 바람직한 경청, 명확한 의사표현, 자기느낌 표현, 자기개방 등 5개 하위요소로 나누어 각 변인들과 자아존중감 간에 어떤 관계가 있는지를 파악함과 동시에 시사점을 모색코자 하였다. 연구방법은 강원도의 무료양로시설(춘천1, 원주1, 강릉1)에 거주하는 만 65세 이상 노인을 대상으로 총 123부를 본 연구의 분석 자료로 사용하였다. 연구결과 다음과 같은 결과가 나왔다. 첫째, 인구사회학적 특성에 따른 의사소통 기술수준 차이는 취미, 종교유무, 용돈, 가장 의지하는 사람에 따라 유의미한 차이를 보였다. 둘째, 인구사회학적 특성에 따른 자아존중감은 종교, 생활비 부담자, 취미 건강상태에 따라 유의한 차이가 나타났으며, 셋째 의사소통 기술이 자아존중감에 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타나 즉 노인들의 자아존중감이 높을수록 의사소통 수준도 높은 것으로 보여준다. 몇 가지 제언을 한다면 시설에 거주 노인들을 위해서는 취미생활과 종교 생활 그리고 충분한 용돈과 생활비 부담을 본인이 하게 한다면 자아존중감도 높아지고 의사소통 기술도 향상될 것으로 사료된다.

컴퓨터 텍스트 분석프로그램을 적용한 암환자의 투병수기 분석 (An Analysis of Cancer Survival Narratives Using Computerized Text Analysis Program)

  • Purpose: This study was done to explore experiences of persons living through the periods of cancer diagnosis, treatment, and self-care. Methods: With permission, texts of 29 cancer survival narratives (8 men and 21 women, winners in contests sponsored by two institutes), were analyzed using Kang's Korean-Computerized-Text-Analysis-Program where the commonly used Korean-Morphological-Analyzer and the 21st-century-Sejong-Modern-Korean-Corpora representing laymen's Korean-language-use are connected. Experiences were explored based on words included in 100 highly-used-morphemes. For interpretation, we used 'categorizing words by meaning', 'comparing use-rate by periods and to the 21st-century-Sejong-Modern-Korean-Corpora', and highly-used-morphemes that appeared only in a specific period. Results: The most highly-used-word-morpheme was first-person-pronouns followed by, diagnosis treatment-related- words, mind-expression-words, cancer, persons-in-meaningful-interaction, living and eating, information-related-verbs, emotion-expression- words, with 240 to 0.8 times for layman use-rate. 'Diagnosis-process', 'cancer-thought', 'things-to-come-after-diagnosis', 'physician husband', 'result-related-information', 'meaningful-things before diagnosis-period', and 'locus-of-cause' dominated the life of the diagnosis-period. 'Treatment', 'unreliable-body', 'husband people mother physician', 'treatment-related-uncertainty', 'hard-time', and 'waiting-time represented experiences in the treatment-period. Themes of living in the self-care-period were complex and included 'living-as-a-human', 'self-managing-of-diseased-body', 'positive-emotion', and 'connecting past present future'. Conclusion: The results show that the experience of living for persons with cancer is influenced by each period's own situational-characteristics. Experiences of the diagnosis and treatment-period are negative disease-oriented while that of the self-care period is positive present-oriented.
