Selective catalytic reduction and selective non-catalytic reduction processes are mainly used to treat nitrogen oxidants generated from fossil-fuel combustion. Especially, the selective non-catalytic reduction process can be operated more economical and designed more simply than the selective catalytic reduction. For this reason, many researchers carried out to increase the removal efficiency of nitrogen oxidants in the condition of low oxygen concentration by using the selective non-catalytic reduction process. However, this study was flue gas contained high oxygen concentration of 20(v/v%) with ammonia as a reducing agent. Moreover, it carried out experiment with many factors that are reaction temperature, retention time, initial NO concentration, NSR(normalized stoichiometric ratio). It was determined optimal operating conditions to improve NO removal efficiency with SNCR process. The De-NOx efficiency was increased with NSR, initial NO concentration and retention time increasement. This study has NO removal efficiency over 80% in the high oxygen concentration as well as low oxygen concentration. The injection of reducing agent may be considered for SNCR process and facility operation in 850$\^{C}$ of optimal condition.
The environmental regulations in the world has been reinforced and many nations has devoted themselves to the development of cost-effective technology. Selective catalyst reduction(SCR) and selective non-catalyst reduction (SNCR) processes are mainly used to treat nitrogen oxidants generated from fossil-fuel combustion. One of these typical technologies for reduction of do-NOx is SNCR process has increased continuously because of the low cost for building and maintenance. Nevertheless the researches on the application to real scale plant by the reductant like Urea are rarely studied. In this paper, an experimental investigations were performed on the SNCR process in the industrial waste incineration plant. With no reducing agent, the concentration of NOx stayed in around 180 ppm $(O_2\;12\%)$ with the exhausting temperature of $950^{\circ}C$ and changed within the range of 20 ppm to remain relatively consistent. When $10\;wt\%)$ of a solution was added, the efficiency of denitrification reached above $61.4\%$ with the NSR of 2.0 and the exhausting temperature of $950^{\circ}C.$ When the concentration of the urea solution was set to $10\;wt\%$ and the sprinkling to four nozzles, the reaction temperature was reduced to about $50~100^{\circ}C$ with a mixture of $10\;wt\%\;CH_3OH\;and\;5wt\%\;Na_2CO_3$ in $40\;wt\%$ of the solution. The NOx removal efficiency increased to $78.4\%,$ achieving a broader and expansive range of reaction temperatures than the addition of an unmixed pure solution.
Removal of NO contained in automobile exhaust gas was accomplished by the non-selective catalyst reduction method. The catalysts were prepared through loading of a specific amount of Ag into ${\gamma}-Al_2O_3$. The conversion of $NO_x$ was studied by varying the temperatures, $O_2$ concentrations and $SO_2$ concentrations for the prepared catalysts. The influence of the structure of catalyst to $NO_x$ conversion was followed through the analysis of the physical properties of the prepared catalysts. Experiments were conducted on each of the catalysts by varying the reaction conditions to find an optimum condition. The catalyst $Ag/{\gamma}-Al_2O_3$ shows a highest $NO_x$ conversion when the Ag content was 2 wt% and a reaction temperature of about $450^{\circ}C$. and after conducting the experiments, samples of before and after experiments analyzed using XRD, XPS, TPR, and UV-Vis DRS experiments. The result indicated that when Ag oxide content could not be maintained well at high temperatures $NO_x$ conversion decreased.
In order to remove the NO contained in exhaust gas by the non-selective catalyst reduction method, the catalysts were prepared by varing the loading amount of Ag and V into ${\gamma}-Al_2O_3$. The conversion of $NO_x$ using the prepared catalysts was studied by varying the temperatures, $O_2$ concentrations and $SO_2$ concentrations using. The influence of the catalyst structure on $NO_x$ conversion was studied through the analysis of the physical properties of the prepared catalysts. In the case of $AgV/{\gamma}-Al_2O_3$ catalyst, the $NO_x$ conversion was lower than that of $Ag/{\gamma}-Al_2O_3$ at higher temperatures but higher than that of $Ag/{\gamma}-Al_2O_3$ at lower temperatures. Even though $SO_2$ was contained in the reaction gas, the $NO_x$ conversion did not decrease. Based on the analysis including XRD, XPS, TPR, and UV-Vis DRS before and after the experiments, the experimental results were examined. The results indicated that, $NO_x$ conversion decreased at higher temperatures since Ag oxide could not be maintained well due to the addition of V, whereas it increased at temperatures lower than $300^{\circ}C$ due to the catalytic action of V.

Urea-SCR, the selective catalytic reduction using urea as reducing agent, has been investigated for about 10 years in detail and today is a well established technique for deNOx of stationary diesel engines. In the case of the SCR-catalyst a non-uniform velocity and $NH_3$ profile will cause an inhomogeneous conversion of the reducing agent $NH_3$, resulting in a local breakthrough of $NH_3$ or increasing NOx emissions. Therefore, this work investigates the effect of flow and $NH_3$ non-uniformities on the deNOx performance and $NH_3$ slip in a Urea-SCR exhaust system. From the results of this study, it is found that flow and $NH_3$ distribution within SCR monolith is strongly related with deNOx performance of SCR catalyst. It is also found that multi-hole injector shows better $NH_3$ uniformity at the face of SCR monolith face than one hole injector.
The present work studied the selective catalytic reduction (SCR) of NO to $N_2$ by $NH_3$ over $V/TiO_2$ focusing on NOx control for the stationary sources. The SCR process depends mainly on the catalyst performance. The reaction characteristics of SCR with $V/TiO_2$ catalysts were closely examined at low and high temperature. In addition, adsorption and desorption characteristics of the reactants on the catalyst surface were investigated with ammonia. Seven different $TiO_2$ supports containing the same loading of vanadia were packed in a fixed bed reactor respectively. The interaction between $TiO_2$ and vanadia would form various non-stoichiometric vanadium oxides, and showed different reaction activities. There were optimum calcination temperatures for each samples, indicating different reactivity. It was finally found from the $NH_3-TPD$ test that the SCR activity was nothing to do with $NH_3$ adsorption amount.

In this study, an NH3-selective catalytic reduction (SCR) experiment was performed to control NOx in the temperature range of 200~500 ℃. The reaction activity experiment was conducted by varying the firing temperature of Sb/TiO2 when using V/Sb/TiO2 composite as a catalyst. As a result, when the sintering temperature of Sb/TiO2 was 600 ℃, the efficiency was the best, and it was confirmed that the NOx conversion rate was close to 80% at the reaction temperature of 250 ℃. H2-temperature programmed reduction (TPR), X-ray diffraction (XRD), Brunauer-Emmett-Teller (BET), Raman spectroscopy, and X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS) analyses were employed to derive the cause of the activity enhancement when prepared at different firing temperatures as described above. As a result, when the sintering temperature of Sb/TiO2, which showed an excellent activity, was prepared at 600 ℃, it was confirmed that VSbO4 was generated. This indicates that the non-stoichiometric species of V increased, resulting in the excellent NOx conversion rate of V/Sb/TiO2.
To alleviate NOx emission, a variety of approaches has been applied. In marine diesels, the application of SCR systems has been considered an effective exhaust aftertreatment method for NOx emission control. Most current SCR systems use a various catalyst for the reaction of ammonia with NOx to form nitrogen and water. In theory, it is possible to achieve 100% NOx if the NH3-to-NOx ratio is 1:1. However, the reaction has a limited non-uniformity of the exhaust gas flow and ammonia concentration distribution. Therefore it is necessary to investigate the optimum flow conditions. In order to achieve uniform flow at monolith front face, we are equipped with a various mixed device. In this paper, it is presented that the mixed devices play an important role improvement of flow patterns and particle distributions of NH3 by numerical simulation.

In this study, the selective catalytic reduction (SCR) for NOx removal was investigated in the temperature range of $150{\sim}400^{\circ}C$. XRD, BET and XPS analyses to determine the structural properties and valence state characteristics of the catalyst were performed. Various ball mill method were shown to a difference in activity at a low temperature below $250^{\circ}C$. Based on the catalyst with the highest denitrification efficiency, the ball mill time was the best result at 3 h. As a result of XPS analysis, the presence of the non-stoichiometric vanadium species and the increase of the number of atoms were attributed to a positive effect in the SCR reaction. it was confirmed that the correlation between the amount of lattice oxygen and the denitrification efficiency through the $O_2$ on-off experiment, and it was in a proportional relationship to each other.
