Map integration usually involves matching the common spatial objects in different datasets. There have been recent studies on object matching using relative location as defined by spatial relationships between the object and its neighbor landmark. Therefore the landmark selection process is an important part of map integration using relative location. In this research, we describe an approach to determine landmarks automatically in different geospatial datasets.

The selection of proposed sites for the general logistic center of agriculture products would be made the most suitable place by considering the spread of population as real consumers, the prospect of the demand, the expansion of traffic system, the regional, hourly and carring traffic volume and the use of land based urban planning, etc. As the preconsideration, the possible occupant companies have to be selected on the category of business and the district. After posing questions and having interview, several selected regions would be compared and analysed for deciding the most suitable place. The model for the general logistic center of agricultural products must be selected taking key factors approach for choosing key factors at first and referring to many documentary records. And the more, cooperating with the specialists for location selection and making objective questions to concerned companies, the most suitable place is selected by marking high score for the moderate land cost, the low traffic jam, the connection with the back cities and the possible expansion as the general logistic center of agriculture products.

Since in web service composition, the same service may be offered by different providers with different Quality of Services (QoS) attributes, selection criteria are needed to select which Web Services will be considered for composition. Location of provider can be one of these criteria and intends to decrease the number of remote interactions between providers as well as reducing waiting time of service consumer. Therefore in this paper, we present technique for composing web services according to their location by semantically describing customer's goals and provider's web service capability by means of carefully designed ontology and logical expression.

This paper discusses the selection of optimal location of Thyristor Controlled Series Compensator (TCSC) devices to maintain the steady-state voltage profile within limits. A procedure for selecting optimal TCSC location based on sensitivity analysis is developed. This approach identifies the critical lines by evaluating all the voltage magnitudes sensitivity with respect to a line reactance. Computer simulation of a example system is used to verify the proposed procedure.

This Paper Proposes the FACTS site selection method using subtransmission system reduction. A general method which uses the sensitivity of the variation in voltage and reactive Power has been used to determine the location of shunt type FACTS device, but there is a difficulty to find a proper location due to the overestimation of the effect of sub-transmission systems. Therefore, there is a need to reduce sub-transmission system for finding an effective location of shunt type FACTS devices such as SVC(Static Var Compensator), STATCOM(Static Synchronous Compesator), and so on.

User adaptive services have been important features in many applications. To provide such services, various techniques with various kinds of data are being used. In this paper, we propose a method to analyze user's past moving paths for predicting the goal position and the path to the goal by observing the user's current moving path. We develop a spatio-temporal similarity measure between paths. We choose a past path which is the most similar to the current path using the similarity. Based on the chosen path, user's spatio-temporal position is estimated. Through experiments we confirm this method is useful and effective.

Re purposes of this study were to determine consumers' selection criteria of fashion shopping area and to examine the effects of clothing consumption value and fashion leadership on the selection criteria of fashion shopping area. In addition, the third purpose was to clarify the relation beかeon the above variables and shopping intent. The data were collected from 198 females in their twenties using questionnaire. The results could be summarized as follows. First, the selection criteria of fashion shopping area were composed of 5 factors: scale & variety of shopping area, convenience of location, entertainment, physical service, and atmosphere. Second, the fashion leadership and clothing consumption value except functional and social values had an effect on the selection criteria fashion shopping area. Particularly, the attractiveness-sought value best explained the selection criteria. Third, the fashion leadership and selection criteria fashion shopping area had an effect on the shopping intent. The effect clothing consumption value was not significant.

The main purpose of this study is to introduce a new method of evaluation, and to suggest how to apply geographic information system for optimum public facility site selection. For this purpose, a new evaluation model for the site selection is developed. The model provides a simple and easy method of evaluation. It also allows differences among location factors through two step weighting procedures. For a better understanding of the model, solution procedures and visual figures are illustrated with the case of Dalseong-Gun's city hall location example.
